This could be the next OnePlus flagship smartphone

New Delhi, Nov 16 (IANS) Samsung is reportedly planning to launch its next flagship called Galaxt S21 Ultra with an S Pen support but the S Pen wont be included with the phone. There may be three S21 models -- a standard, a Plus and an Ultra. The S21 will have a 6.2-inch display, the Plus will be 6.7 inches and the Ultra will reportedly have a 6.8-inch display, reports Android Police. The Galaxy S21 will come in phantom violet, phantom gray, phantom white and phantom pink colours. The Galaxy S21+ will be available in phantom silver, phantom black, and phantom violet while Galaxy S21 Ultra will only come in phantom silver and phantom black colours. The base model Galaxy S21 will feature a plastic rear cover, while the S21 Ultra will use glass. In addition to the S Pen, Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100 chipset, a 108-megapixel primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. Samsung may launch the Galaxy S21 series in January 2021, with first sales tipping-off early February. The company has traditionally opted for a February and a March release but this may not be the case for the Galaxy S21, the report claimed. New Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS) Like the recently-released Galaxy Note20 series, the Samsung Galaxy S30 series may also not carry the 3D time-of-flight (ToF) sensor found in the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra and last year's Galaxy S10 and Note10 lines. A report from Korean publication The Elec claimed that "Samsung is concerned that its indirect ToF system isn't as good as Apple's LiDAR technology to create AR experiences". While Apple uses a 'direct' ToF sensor with a LiDAR module, Samsung's sensor uses 'indirect' ToF. As a result, Apple's cameras have up to a two times advantage in range, capable of measuring distances up to six metres, while Samsung's sensor can achieve a range of about three metres, reports Android Central. A time-of-flight sensor on a smartphone sends out pulses of light undetectable to the human eye. Usually an infrared light, the beams bounce off a subject and return to the device, thus helping create a better AR system. Neither Samsung nor Apple directly manufacture their ToF sensors and buy the components from Sony. "Apple reportedly has an exclusivity contract with Sony for the direct ToF technology, leaving only the indirect variant available for Samsung and other manufacturers". Flipkart has partnered with the Finnish tech giant to launch the Nokia PureBook X14, featuring a lightweight design and a sleek form factor. Earlier, Flipkart launched the first Nokia-branded smart TV in 2019. The launch of laptops makes it the third category in the consumer electronics space that Nokia is now a part of, with smartphones and smart TVs being the other two categories. Nokia PureBook X14 laptop price in India The Nokia PureBook X14 laptop is priced at ₹59,990. It comes in matte black finish and will be available for pre-order on Flipkart starting from December 18. “We are excited to offer consumers in India a Nokia branded laptop which brings innovation to address a gap in the market, as well as the style, performance and reliability that the Nokia brand is known for,” said Vipul Mehrotra, vice president, Nokia Brand Partnerships. Nokia PureBook X14 laptop features and specifications The Nokia PureBook X14 laptop sports a 14-inch Full HD LED-backlit IPS display. To further enhance the viewing experience, it comes with support for Dolby Vision technology. Powering this Nokia laptop is the 10th generation Intel Core i5-10210U processor, with a clock speed of 1.6GHz, with the integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics. This is paired with 8GB of DDR4 memory, along with 512GB NVMe SSD (solid state drive). The Nokia PureBook X14 laptop runs on Windows 10 Home. It also supports Face Unlock thanks to the Windows Hello-certified web camera. This webcam can also work in lowlight conditions thanks to infrared technology. Other features of the Nokia laptop include a backlit keyboard with 1.4mm key travel. It also supports connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, two USB 3.1 ports for fast data transfers, one USB 2.0 port and one USB Type C 3.1 port. This Nokia laptop promises 8 hours of battery life and comes with a 65W charger.
