<ul class="summary-list"><li>Golnesa Gharachedaghi from "Shahs of Sunset" recently <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pregnantish/id1461336652">told the Pregnantish podcast</a> about her fertility journey.</li><li>At a recent event hosted by <keyword id="12229235" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="pregnantish" source="Orion">Pregnantish</keyword>, she said she hopes to help others going through the same.</li></ul><p>Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi, a star of Bravo's "Shahs of Sunset," said that when she wanted to have a child, it was "never a factor of having a significant other — it was more about when I have my shit together."</p><p>Gharachedaghi, who recently <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/why-golnesa-from-shahs-of-sunset-is-proud-of-her/id1461336652?i=1000558991621">shared her story on the podcast "Pregnantish,"</a> said she'd had several unintentional pregnancies during a "careless" time in her life. "I lived such an unhealthy <keyword id="11893304" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="lifestyle" source="Orion">lifestyle</keyword>," Gharachedaghi told Insider.</p><p>She said she went through a lot both physically and mentally before she could welcome her son into her life. Part of her journey included agreeing to have her fallopian tubes removed in an emergency surgery to save her life, making her unable to get pregnant naturally again.</p><h2>Gharachedaghi's <keyword id="12197404" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="ivf" source="Orion">IVF</keyword> journey</h2><p>Gharachedaghi said that after considering a male friend as a potential coparent, she decided to seek out a sperm donor and turned to Donor Concierge, a company that finds qualified egg and sperm donors and surrogates.</p><p>"It was a psychoanalysis of me to understand who I was so they could profile me and profile the donor," Gharachedaghi said. "I had certain criteria, and I said, 'I need pictures.'"</p><p>Gharachedaghi said that the donor she chose had childhood photos and an adult photo and that his genetics were "pristine." She purchased the sperm and completed the IVF process.</p><p>"We got 21 eggs in one retrieval," she said. "I have an autoimmune disease, and I was 38 at the time, so it was a little shocking."</p><p>Gharachedaghi said her doctor implanted one embryo and confirmed two weeks later that the pregnancy was viable.</p><p>The good news was short-lived.</p><p>She said the doctors discovered the embryo had traveled into her fallopian tube, and while they didn't know why, they knew it needed to be dissolved. She said she was injected with two shots of methotrexate, a drug used to treat <keyword id="13758047" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="ectopic-pregnancy" source="Orion">ectopic pregnancy</keyword>.</p><p>She said she'd been planning to announce her pregnancy to her family that week and was flying to see them.</p><p>"I was seated next to a woman who was seven months pregnant. It was one of those moments where you can't cry," she said. "It's just like, if this airplane door just swung open, I would be OK if the wind just sucks me out right now. It was miserable."</p><p>But Gharachedaghi said she believed this was karma. "I accepted that because I had no other answer for what happened to me," she said.</p><p>Gharachedaghi said that she healed mentally in a week but that physically the worst part was still on the horizon.</p><h2>She needed her tubes removed</h2><p>Gharachedaghi said that upon returning to Los Angeles, she experienced severe pain in her abdomen and was rushed to the hospital.</p><p>She said it turned out that the methotrexate hadn't worked and that her fallopian tubes needed to be removed. She said her doctor had informed her that her fallopian tubes were not needed to get pregnant, so she said to "take them."</p><p>She said that after she recovered, her first question for her doctor was when they could start again.</p><p>In three months, she was pregnant.</p><p>"I don't feel like I mourned the whole process of what I went through and how I can never get pregnant naturally ever again," she said.</p><p>Still, Gharachedaghi said that when she looks at her son, she feels it was all supposed to happen. "He was supposed to be my kid," she said.</p><p>Gharachedaghi recently joined <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbqw8cKsG2-/">an event</a> hosted by the podcast "Pregnantish" featuring celebrities who've struggled with infertility. She said she was moved by being able to share her story and <a href="https://www.insider.com/tara-conner-miss-usa-paid-over-50000-in-fertility-treatments-2022-3">hear other people's journeys</a> to <a href="https://www.insider.com/former-miss-usa-susie-castillo-says-shes-struggling-with-infertility-2022-3">becoming parents</a>.</p><p>"I get to now tell this story. Being at Pregnantish, this is my journey — I'm supposed to be a voice for certain people who feel like that was their entire life and they can't move past it," she said.</p>

She was single and working as a real-estate agent when the show first aired in 2012. In 2018, she married Feight in a stunning and lavish ceremony after meeting on Tinder.</p><p>Javid also had a long journey to motherhood, including infertility and eventually conceiving via IVF.</p><p>She and Feight welcomed a healthy baby boy, Shams Francis, in April 2019. She revealed in July 2019, however, that her uterus had been removed during labor and she would never be able to birth another child. Even so, Javid and Feight are grateful for their adorable two-year son, aptly named after her beloved deceased father, Shams Javid.</p><p>Javid was close to her father, so it was a very devastating loss for her. He passed away a year before her son was born, but Javid told Insider she believes her father still lives on in her son - something her family really treasures.</p><p>"Because my dad has passed, all of my uncles and aunts, when they see my son's face, they just start like tearing up because they see my dad in him so much," she said.</p><p>"Their hair parts the same way. They have the same style and my son is a massive flirt. He sees a beautiful woman and he is like a moth to a flame, just like my dad was. It's really a beautiful thing," Javid added.</p><p>But Javid's relationship with her mother, Vida, hasn't always been smooth sailing. Throughout the years, Vida has been known to criticize Javid's lifestyle choices, her weight, and most notably her relationship with her now-husband. Fortunately, Javid said Vida has a better relationship with Tommy, and even more with her grandson.</p><p>"She smiles bigger. She takes so many pictures. She's <em>that </em>grandma. Her Instagram is lit with little baby Shams. It gives her a purpose, you know, just to experience this," said Javid.</p><h2>Things are still tense between Javid's husband and Javid's former best friend, Reza Farahan, on season nine</h2><p>While all is well with Javid's family, it still remains to be seen whether the same can be said for the relationship between her husband and one-time best friend of 30 years, Reza Farahan.</p><p>Last season, Farahan alleged that Javid plotted to get her friend, Ali Ashouri, a cast member spot on the show by starting drama between him and Farahan's husband, Adam Neely. Neely and Ashouri exchanged what Farahan described as harmless text messages between friends, but Farahan claimed Javid began plotting to destroy his marriage.</p><div type="image" title="Adam Neely, Mercedes &quot;MJ&quot; Javid, Reza Farahan" height="2000" width="2666" msid="82686411" hostid="261"></div><p>Javid asserted there was no wrongdoing and that she never betrayed Farahan. Farahan was subsequently granted a three-year restraining order against Feight after the incident, which has put Javid in a tough position.</p><p>"Tommy is very old school and he's like the true definition of loyalty and honor. 'Shahs of Sunset' star Mercedes 'MJ' Javid says despite cheating rumors she thinks Mike and Paulina will make it: 'We're human'

MUMBAI/NEW DELHI: With <keyword id="6374198" type="POSITION" weightage="100" keywordseo="BJP-President">BJP president</keyword> <keyword id="6355521" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Amit-Shah">Amit Shah</keyword> issuing categorical instructions to the party’s Maharashtra leaders not to accept anything less than 130 assembly seats from <keyword id="6358821" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shiv-Sena">Shiv Sena</keyword>, the 25-year-old saffron alliance is likely to disintegrate, say observers.<br />
<br /> Both Sena and <keyword id="14666" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="BJP">BJP</keyword> are said to be preparing to go their separate ways. The two parties have asked their cadre to prepare to go solo in the October 15 polls. The state BJP has convened a meeting of senior party functionaries in Mumbai on Tuesday to review the political situation in the wake of the aborted seat-sharing talks.<br />

As it became clear that the alliance was set to walk into the sunset, the two parties began the blame game. BJP state unit chief Devendra Fadnavis accused the Sena of bringing seat-sharing talks to a halt. “You can’t hold negotiations with a person who has closed the doors of his mind,” he told a Marathi news channel.<br />
<br />
A key Sena functionary said the alliance is dying an untimely death because of BJP’s Big Brother attitude. “BJP should accept the fact that Sena is a senior ally in the state... We accepted BJP’s ‘Mission 272’ during the LS polls. Why should our ‘Mission 150’ ruffle it?” he asked.<br />

<br /> The Sena did make a feeble attempt earlier in the day to revive the alliance. A close confidant of Sena president <keyword id="53973" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Uddhav-Thackeray">Uddhav Thackeray</keyword> rang up BJP’s poll observer for the state, Om Prakash Mathur, suggesting resumption of seat-distribution talks, sources said.<br />

But Mathur insisted on the party’s formula that the BJP should get 130 seats and the Sena could contest 140. The Sena president’s emissary did not get back to Mathur.<br />

Speculation was rife that the Maharashtra BJP may go for new allies, including the MNS and the NCP. However, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy scotched talk of any kind of partnership with the NCP.<br />

“Actually, we would want the saffron partnership to survive the present crisis and we are eager to contest the assembly polls as allies. This is the collective wish of the people of Maharashtra. However, should the alliance end, the BJP will contest the election [all 288 seats] on its own. There is no question of cosying up to new friends,” Rudy said.<br />

Thackeray’s Sunday formula, which earmarked 151 seats for the Sena and 119 for BJP, with the remaining 18 seats going to four smaller allies, has been rejected by BJP. “The party is over. But we have no regrets,” said a senior BJP functionary.<br />
<br />
Sena and BJP offered completely contradictory versions on reports that Shah had spoken with Thackeray over the phone earlier in the day and urged for reconciliation. While Sena rubbished these reports, Rudy said, “Shah has spoken to the Sena chief, and that itself indicates that we are very, very eager to have the alliance. We won’t pull the plug. We are hopeful a solution will be found.”<br />

Sources said neither party wanted to create the impression that it was the one pulling the plug.<br />

Sources in New Delhi said Shah had reiterated to Sena president BJP’s demand for 130 seats, saying the party was prepared to accept the seats which Sena had never won in the last 25 years. Sena is then learned to have improved its offer to 126 seats instead of 119, sources said.<br />

The state BJP, however, said there was no new offer from Sena for more seats. “There is practically no room for fresh talks with Sena as Thackeray has said in no uncertain terms that he would not offer a single seat more to us,” a BJP functionary pointed out.<br />
<br /> Reports also said Uddhav had spoken to two top BJP leaders—foreign minister <keyword id="6355111" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sushma-Swaraj">Sushma Swaraj</keyword> and home minister Rajnath Singh—on Sunday to try and find a way out of the impasse.<br />

The saffron alliance’s fate was sealed at the BJP’s Parliamentary board meeting in New Delhi on Sunday, sources said. The state BJP leaders briefed the party president on the Sena’s “haughty” stance on seat-sharing and re-allocation of 59 Sena seats which it has been losing in five consecutive polls.<br />

Shah is believed to have told the Maharashtra leaders to take the final decision on whether or not to continue the alliance. He, however, made it clear that the party should not accept anything less than 130 seats.<br />
<br />
Shah is upset with the Sena for several reasons, it is said. First, for ignoring his “come two steps forward” appeal last week. Second, for rejecting the BJP’s 140:130:18 formula. Third, Thackeray announcing the 151:119:18 formula at a Sena conclave on Sunday in full media glare. “Seat-sharing proposals are not announced on TV channels,” remarked state BJP leader Eknath Khadse.<br />

<br /> Fourth, for referring to <keyword id="71" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Prime-Minister">Prime Minister</keyword> Narendra Modi’s ‘chaiwalla’ antecedents at the Sena’s Sunday conclave. Fifthly, for snubbing Om Prakash Mathur, the BJP’s poll observer in Maharashtra, by sending Aditya Thackeray as the Sena’s emissary to a crucial meeting with Mathur last week.<br />

BJP is keen on retaining the Rashtriya Samaj Party, RPI and Shiv Sangram Sanghatana as allies in the post-Sena era as part of a rainbow coalition of caste-based parties.<br />
<br />
Sena tried to put up a brave face in the middle of this crisis in the alliance. “Sena has survived many crises in the past. We will emerge stronger from the present one as well,” said Sena leader Vinod Ghosalkar, an MLA.<br />

Pooh-poohing talks of the MNS joining hands with the BJP, MNS leader Nitin Sardesai, also an MLA, said, “As of now, we would like to concentrate on the polls entirely on our own.”<br />

Ryan Seacrest locks down a multi-year contract with E! as 'American Idol' winds down

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Ryan Seacrest has found a new summer gig.</p><p>He will be producing and hosting a new reality show on Fox called "Knock Knock Live," the network said in a press release on Tuesday.</p><p>Premiering July 21 at 9 p.m., the show will feature Seacrest from its Los Angeles studios while a "Knock Knock" team surprises people with "life altering" prizes ranging from cash, visits from with their favorite celebrities, or the opportunity to fulfill their wildest fantasy.</p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">But contestants will have to win the prize by either answering a question correctly or performing some other kind of challenge. <p><a href="http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2014/01/oscar-nominations-academy-awards-american-hustle-gravity-years-slave/">The Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences</a> "seeks injunctive relief and damages for copyright infringement, trademark infringement, trademark dilution, and false representation," court papers obtained by Radar stated.</p>

<p>"De La Rosa operates (1) a store on the eBay Web site (ww.ebay.com) in the form of an online auction and shopping site under the username 'jjleo0205 and (2) an online store on the Etsy Web site (www.etsy.com) under store name 'QuietOnTheSet' and user name 'Jaime De La Rosa,'" the suit said.</p>
<p>The academy also sued 10 other individuals, but listed them in the paperwork against De La Rosa as "Does 1 through 10."</p>

<p>According to the court papers, Does 1 through 5 "manufactured, imported, or procured <a href="http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2013/12/this-was-no-wolf-whistle-martin-scorsese-heckled-at-wolf-of-wall-street-screening/">counterfeit replica 'Oscar' statuettes</a> for De La Rosa to sell in derogation of the Academy's rights."</p>
<p>Does 6 through 10 helped De La Rosa with the sale of the counterfeit statuettes.</p>
<p>The issue was first brought to the attention of the Academy in November 2013 when they found out about a listing on eBay called "Academy Award Hollywood Metal Movie Acting Trophy Prop Replica" with one of the fake statutes being sold for $850.</p>

<p>The Academy claimed that the contacted De La Rosa, but he continued to sell the replicas - one replica was even being sold for the price of $5,000 on his Etsy store.</p>
<p>The Academy sued De La Rosa for copyright infringement and is asking for an injunction against him to get him to stop selling the fake statues.</p>
<p>They are also demanding $150,000 in damages from the defendant.</p>
<p>"The Academy is entitled to recover three times the defendants' profits and the Academy's damages, reasonable attorneys' fees, and the cost of this action," the papers said.</p><div class="feed-footer-wrapper"><div class="feed-footer">

Academy Sues Man For Manufacturing, Selling Fake Oscar Statues Online

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image"><p class="source"><span>Google Images</span></p></div><p></p></div></div>We just told you about the four major U.S. companies <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/analysts-bullish-on-solar-industry-2014-1">that now dominate the domestic solar sector.</a></p>
<p>But while the U.S. story remains highly compelling, there are further tectonic shifts occurring in the rest of the world. </p>
<p>Deutsche Bank's clean tech team of Vishal Shah, Jerimiah Booream-Phelps, and Susie Min is calling it the Second Gold Rush. </p>
<p>DB write:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>While we have been generally constructive on the global demand outlook, we are raising our 2014 and 2015 demand expectations to ~46GW and ~56GW respectively. [<span>For comparison, U.S. states on average used about 9,000 GwH of total electricity in 2012.] </span><strong>We believe upside demand surprises from the US, Japanese and Chinese markets could continue in 2014</strong>. </span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>We expect streamlined incentive programs in China, additional subsidy cut signals in end 2014, and decreasing financing constraints to act as catalysts for upside. <strong>Similar to the '05-07 capacity rush, we expect another gold rush by downstream installers to add recurring MW ahead of policy changes over the next 2-3 years.</strong> Moreover, we expect grid and financing constraints to improve from 2014. </span></p>
<p>Let's unpack this.</p>
<p>The first "rush" came in 2005-2007, when the entire world thought getting into solar manufacturing was a great idea, thanks to massive subsidies from Europe and states' renewable fuel standards. It didn't really end up turning out that great, at least for the companies themselves, as the world became flooded with excess supplies of solar panels. This was great news for consumers, though, and helped pave the way for<a href="http://www.eia.gov/electricity/data/browser/#/topic/0?agg=2,0,1&amp;fuel=vtvo&amp;geo=g&amp;sec=g&amp;linechart=ELEC.GEN.SUN-US-99.M~~~~~&amp;columnchart=ELEC.GEN.ALL-US-99.M~ELEC.GEN.COW-US-99.M~ELEC.GEN.NG-US-99.M~ELEC.GEN.NUC-US-99.M~ELEC.GEN.HYC-US-99.M~ELEC.GEN.WND-US-99.M&amp;map=ELEC.GEN.ALL-US-99.M&amp;freq=M&amp;start=200101&amp;end=201310&amp;ctype=linechart&amp;ltype=pin&amp;maptype=0&amp;rse=0&amp;pin="> the explosion of solar growth we've seen in the U.S. </a></p>
<p>There are few signs the momentum from the initial boom has slowed, at least on the consumer end. Rather firms in the sector went through a period of contraction and consolidation that saw the number of manufacturers decline sharply. </p>
<p>So what will the new rush look like? DB says it will be fueled by three elements: ongoing low system prices, more robust financing and government policy changes. </p>
<p>If the first gold rush was all about the cost of solar panels themselves coming down, <strong>the second rush will be about "balance of system" costs,</strong> which include all other parts of the supply chain, from wiring to customer acquisition, seeing reductions. This is mainly thanks to sheer experience or, a more steady learning curve the surviving solar companies now. And it will mainly impact "downstream" firms - the service providers - instead of "upstream" ones, the manufacturers.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">"<strong>Solar module prices are likely to remain at record low levels for the next 18 months</strong>...overall financing costs have room to decline as solar moves down the risk curve and innovative financing structures drive down costs." </p>
<p>Solar is currently competitive without subsidies in at least 19 markets globally, DB says, and t<strong>he firm expects more to achieve that milestone this year.</strong></p>
<p>That leads us to the next element, financing. This one mostly applies to the U.S. There are two types of genuinely interesting financing mechanisms that are helping drive solar: solar bonds, and yield cos. Solar bonds are being pioneered by SolarCity, the service firm chaired by Elon Musk, and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/analysts-bullish-on-solar-industry-2014-1">as we discussed yesterday</a>, <strong>they've received a huge response.</strong> Developer SunEdison, meanwhile, has announced it plans to form a yield co in the next few months. These are publicly traded firms that are spun off as title holders to revenue from major projects. They pay a dividend and are not subject to standard corporate taxes.</p>
<p>For comparison, the average U.S. household uses about 1,000 kwh per month. DB:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">"We believe the broader acceptance of yieldco type structures <strong>could lower solar financing costs by ~200-300 bps</strong> in addition to providing significant amount of liquidity within the solar sector. Every 100 bps reduction in financing costs results in 1 c/kWh reduction of LCOE, in our view."</p>
<p>Finally, major policy changes will result in a surge of new installations coming online as government subsidies expire. We'll go to China first. </p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>"We see upside to consensus 2013 estimates of 6-7 GW and our 2014 estimates of 10GW in light of recent policy changes which will likely drive a rush of installations in 2H13 and 2014."</span></p>
<p>The U.S. could see a similar jolt as its incentives sunset:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>"Current forms of federal investment tax credits are set to expire in 2016... <strong>Consequently, we expect to see a big rush of new installations ahead of the 2016 ITC expiration." </strong></span></p>
<p>Japan too:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span>"While ~1.1GW of solar was installed under the FiT scheme last year (April to December), ~2.8GW was installed in 1H 2013. This rapid acceleration will likely continue and into 2014 as projects start to run into a likely FiT reduction in April 2014 (announced in March)." </span></p>
<p><span>India, Australia, and Mexico are also poised to see three straight years of solar growth thanks to friendly government policies. But China and Japan will really be the real key to the rush: DB says they could represent ~45-50% of 2013 demand. "We expect demand from both markets to remain a major swing factor," the team writes.</span></p>
