Former Pakistan captain <keyword id="16977" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shahid-Afridi">Shahid Afridi</keyword> revealed on Saturday that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He wrote a heartfelt message on popular social media platform Twitter to make the announcement. Afridi stated that he has feeling unwell since Thursday and after getting himself tested, the reports came as positive. He urged his fans and followers to pray for him during these testing times. His Twitter post read: "I have been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body has been aching badly. I have been tested and unfortunately I'm covid positive. Need prayers for speedy recovery, Inshallah. #COVID19 #pandemic #hopenotout #staysafe #stayhome." Afridi had been involved in charity work during the ongoing crisis in his home country. He was even supported by former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and out-of-favour spinner Harbjahan Singh. But following his comments on Kashmir and India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian cricketers had cut all ties with Afridi. "This is very upsetting what Shahid Afridi has come up with, talking ill about our country and our Prime Minister. This is just not acceptable," Harbhajan had told Sports Tak. "To be honest, he (Afridi) asked us to make an appeal for his charity. In good faith, we did it for humanity and for the people suffering due to the coronavirus," said Harbhajan. "But this man is talking ill about our country. All I have to say is we have nothing to do with Shahid Afridi. He has no right to speak ill against our country and he should stay in his country and limits. Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi tests positive for Covid-19

The whole world knows that India and Pakistan are two countries, which share a love-hate relationship. This sibling rivalry comes out in open every time we talk of cricket, and even more when the Cricket World Cup is held once in every 4 years. 
 
We all are aware of the recent ‘Mauka Mauka’ campaign that was started by Star Sports, showcasing a Pakistani fan’s reactions on every match that India played (and won) in the CWC 2015. 
 
Given the fact that all the ‘Mauka Mauka’ videos became viral, we are sure that they must have reached Pakistan through various social and digital platforms. 
 
Even though neither India nor Pakistan could make it to finals, many a time the fans of both countries made use of the ‘Mauka Mauka’ ads to troll each other. 
 The latest to join the bandwagon is Pakistani cricketer <keyword id="16977" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shahid-Afridi">Shahid Afridi</keyword>, member of the Pakistan cricket team team that went in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. On being asked about his feelings when India lost the semi-finals, the cricketer replied with ‘Mauka Mauka’, in the same tone as the videos. 
 
Quick to clarify his quirky reply after a hearty applause from the audience and the host Umer Sharif, he stated that he got a clip on Whatsapp about two Pakistanis singing the song and mocking random Indians in a middle-eastern country, from where he learned about the campaign.

Watch Shahid Afridi rubbing friendly salts on Indians’ wounds

Former <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=pakistan+cricket">Pakistan cricket</a> captain <keyword id="85255" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Javed-Miandad">Javed Miandad</keyword> lashed out at <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=shahid+afridi">Shahid Afridi</a> after the latter praised India. 
 
"We have always enjoyed playing in India and have been loved by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=indian+cricket+fans">Indian crowds</a> more than crowds back home in Pakistan," Afridi had said. 
 
Miandad took on Afridi over the statement and expressed shock and hurt, saying players making such statements should be "ashamed" of themselves. 
 
"These cricketers should be ashamed of themselves for saying such a thing. Shame on you. What have the Indians given us? Speak the truth even while in India. For the last five years what have they given us or done with Pakistan cricket. Having served Pakistan cricket for so many years I am shocked and hurt to hear such comments from our players," Miandad said on the 'Aaj TV' channel. 
 Afridi and senior player <keyword id="6138" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shoaib-Malik">Shoaib Malik</keyword> had praised India after landing there for the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=T20+world+cup">World Twenty20</a>, insisting that they have never felt threatened in the country even though their departure was delayed due to security concerns. 
 Pakistan's former Test opener and chief coach <keyword id="6372882" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mohsin-Khan">Mohsin Khan</keyword> also expressed his surprise over the comments from Afridi and Malik. 
"They are senior players and should be careful while speaking to the media specially while touring India," Khan said.

Sachin Tendulkar, who went into the match chasing his 100th international hundred, led India's charge with a stroke-filled 85 as India put up 260/9 after electing to bat first. Besides Tendulkar, Suresh Raina's cameo of 36 took India's total to 260 after the likes of <keyword id="351" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Yuvraj-Singh">Yuvraj Singh</keyword>, Virender Sehwag and skipper M.S. Dhoni failed to get going. Tendulkar was given four lives by Pakistani fielders for whom Wahab Riaz returned best figures of 5/46. Chasing 261, the Shahid Afridi-led Pakistan side saw Kamran Akmal and <keyword id="113963" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mohammad-Hafeez">Mohammad Hafeez</keyword> put on 44 runs for the first wicket, but Zaheer Khan drew first blood in the ninth over as he sent Akmal (19) back. After Akmal's dismissal, Pakistan kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and were never in with a chance as Indian bowlers fired in unision. Pakistan were bundled out for 231, handing the Indian side a win by 29 runs. The Dhoni-led side eventually went on to lift its second 50-over title as the side defeated Sri Lanka in the final on April 2 at the <keyword id="3033" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Wankhede-Stadium">Wankhede Stadium</keyword> in Mumbai. Four young boys from the border towns of Jammu and Kashmir have made their way to different IITs. This is the first time anyone from terrorist-infested areas of <keyword id="44760" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Poonch">Poonch</keyword> has made it to India's premier institute. 
 
Usman Hafiz, Aqib Mujtaba, Hilal Ahmad, and Shahid Afridi's feat is a historic development for J&amp;K and comes as a fresh hope for inhabitants of a state still in mourning over militant <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Jammu-and-Kashmir-tense-after-militants-killing-five-more-killed-curfews-imposed/articleshow/53149032.cms">Burhan Wani's killing in July this year</a>. 
 These teens, who represent the J&amp;K's new age youth, are proving <keyword id="2931728" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Burhan-Wani">Burhan Wani</keyword> and stonepelters are not the only face of the youth in the troubled state. They seek their state's development and more job opportunities. 
 Shahid, who hails from Shindra village, is pursuing a degree in computer science at <keyword id="6354859" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="IIT">IIT</keyword> Kanpur. Meanwhile, Gujjar Muslims from the state are rejoicing as the other three boys are from their Kalai village. While 18-year-old Aqib is pursuing mechanical engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar, 17-year-old Usman is studying electrical engineering at IIT Delhi and 19-year-old Hilal is studying computer science at IIT Patna. 
 
“It’s time J&amp;K’s youth understand that those who ask them to turn into stone-pelters are instigators, not well-wishers. Poonch has seen no industry. The first thing that comes to mind is to bring rail connectivity and the knitwear industry to my region,” Usman told media.

Currently, search queries from cricket freaks are now pouring from all corners of the world, the data added. 
 
Google’s analysis of worldwide searches also revealed that cricket is also uniting people from across the globe. TEAM INDIA emerges as the top contender for this year’s World Cup being followed closely by Australia, England, Pakistan and the West Indies, the search giant added.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that Fawad Khan is Pakistan’s national treasure. His chiseled face, perfectly sculpted body has us swooning and watching Khoobsurat on repeat, at the cost of damaging our brain. Don’t think it’s possible to thank you enough for his existence, Pakistan. 
 
3. Pakistan army gives the Indian army a much needed practice: When our neighbour is in one of their no-so-friendly moods, it results in a couple of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Pakistan-resorts-to-ceasefire-violation-shell-mortar-bombs-in-Poonch/articleshow/48449239.cms">infiltration bids</a> and the sacred LoC being violated. As a result, the Pakistan army unknowingly motivates the Indian army to stay on their feet by providing much-needed net practice. Additionally, it also keeps them prepared for any plausible serious confrontations with other nuclear states. (China, we’re looking at you) 
 
4. Helping Bollywood directors with movie plots: Bollywood Directors just like Bollywood lyricists would have been ‘inspired’ by works of others while figuring out plots for movies had it not been for the partition and the subsequent creation of Pakistan. If you’re one of those who loves Gadar, 1947, A Love Story, Veer Zara and the recent <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Bajrangi-Bhaijaan-the-highest-grosser-of-2015/articleshow/48145585.cms">Bajrangi Bhaijaan</a>, you have to no one to thank, but thy neighbor. Chand Nawab: Nawazuddin Siddiqui might have kept us laughing with his antics as Chand Nawab in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but he undoubtedly failed at overshadowing the original Chand Nawab on whom the character was based. Chand Nawab, a Pakistani journalist with Indus News had to face many hurdles while recording his PTC in a crowded railway station. The video of his attempts to get his PTC right while having to dodge people who would walk in front of the camera went viral and made us fall in love with this man, who has become our new favourite. All due to Pakistan, guys!
