Directed by Ishqiya-fame Abhishek Chaubey, the movie is said to be focusing on the increasing problem of substance abuse in the northern state of Punjab, and is set to be released in June this year. However, the trailer can be expected to be out on April 16th.

Shaandaar: First look out, trailer and release dates announced

This is the third time that we are reporting about a song of the upcoming movie <keyword id="2499664" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shaandaar">Shaandaar</keyword>, but believe us, every single song of the movie looks promising enough for being mentioned separately. 
 
The latest number to have had it’s video launched by the makers is called <keyword id="3081049" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="nazdeekiyaan">Nazdeekiyaan</keyword>, and carries a beautiful ballroom dance sequence. However, what adds to it is the fact that the song is shot in black and white, a rare feature these days when everyone is trying to include as many HD colors in their songs and movies. 
 The song, which has been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Nikhil Paul George and Neeti Mohan, has its music composed by <keyword id="142520" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Amit-Trivedi">Amit Trivedi</keyword>. In the song, we see a dapper <keyword id="6355887" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shahid-Kapoor">Shahid Kapoor</keyword>, dressed in a white tuxedo, dancing with <keyword id="6354526" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Alia-Bhatt">Alia Bhatt</keyword>, who looks stunning in a white gown. Shaandaar continues to sizzle through its songs, Nazdeekiyaan warms hearts

 The first song from the much-anticipated Dusshehra release is out. The song, Gulaabo, was released online today, after a strong buzz on all major social networking websites for two days. 
 
If reports are to be believed, the first song release of the movie featuring Sanah was Shahid’s Rakshabandhan gift to his pretty sister.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo logo release: An upcoming trend in Bollywood?

But now, their dry spell is about to end, as in a path-breaking development, <a>Star India has initiated a three-year deal with Karan Johar. As per the deal, Johar’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios will co-produce and distribute not one or two, but 9 films. </a> 
 
Commenting on this strategic partnership, Uday Shankar, CEO, Star India said,“The Indian film industry is an important market for us and this strategic partnership offers us an excellent opportunity to fundamentally change the content quality paradigm. This venture is the natural step in our progression to create entertaining and eclectic content for a global audience and to grow the business through game-changing innovation in content, marketing and distribution."

So, what new would Karan Johar and Fox Star Studios offer to Indian audiences? It would bring movies from some of Bollywood’s most promising directors that would have Bollywood superstars.

Shuddhi: Karan Johar recently announced the star cast of the movie, which had been announced long time back. With Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles, this movie is to be directed by Agneepath-fame Karan Malhotra. 
 
Shaandaar: Shahid Kapoor would be seen opposite Alia Bhatt, in what is being called India’s first destination wedding film. The movie would be directed by Vikas Bahl of Queen fame. 
 
An Untitled Superhero Film: Starring heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, this movie is to be directed by Ayan Mukherji, who shares an amazing bond with the actor, having been directed in Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. 
 
Kalank: To be directed by 2 States director Abhishek Varman, this movie would be based on Indian partition, and was a dream project of late producer Yash Johar, who himself had been through the ordeals of the partition. 
 
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil: Starring Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in Karan Johar’s next directorial venture, this movie is awaited for a lot of reasons, one of them being Aishwarya’s first project with Karan Johar.

5 Movies that will change Fox Star’s fortune in India; thanks to Karan Johar

This year, January was like a drought month and even movies starring big names did not interest the audience. As Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer-'Tevar'- failed to take off, even the Horrex (horror + sex) formula did not work out for ‘Alone’ and ‘Khamoshiyan’. 
 
Other movies that released in January and failed to make a mark included Sonam Kapoor-starrer ‘Dolly Ki Doli’, 'Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene', ‘Crazy Cukkad Family’, ‘Hawaizaada’ among others. 
 
The only respite that the Bollywood lovers got was from Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’, which also became the first movie of 2015 to enter the Rs 100 crore club. 
 
But the jinx did not end in January as February continued to bring more bad news for the industry. 
 
The big shocker came in the form of ‘Shamitabh’. The movie, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush, was directed by R Balki, the maker who has given us movies like Pa and Cheeni Kum. 
 
Later in the month, ‘Roy’ released, which recorded a good start but by weekend the movie fizzled out. Most trade pundits pegged the crucial India-Pakistan match at the World Cup as the reason for the drop of sales on Sunday but the movie could not recover much post this phase also because of negative word of mouth. 
 
Thankfully, later in the same month we had movies like ‘Badlapur’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. Both managed to gather decent collections at the Box Office. In fact, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ was a complete surprise package and managed to pull crowds even in its third week . 
 
March threw a mixed bag as Anushka Sharma starrer 'NH-10' received critical acclaim. April again was a dry month as Bollywood had nothing to offer that could have clicked with the Bolly buffs. 
 
However, Bollywood saw a turnaround in May. It started on a high note with Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Gabbar is Back’, which went to collect Rs 86.55 crore at the Box Office. This was followed by Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan’s 'Piku', which struck a right chord with the audience and collected Rs 111 crore worldwide. 
 
Later in the month, Kangana Ranaut wowed the audience with her spectacular acting in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. As per reports, the movie managed to collect Rs 190.87 crore worldwide. Given that the movie was made with Rs 31 crore budget, it stood out and is the most profitable movie of 2015 till date. 
 
But, the disappointment came from ‘Bombay Velvet’. Everybody had high hopes from Ranbir Kapoor’s flick but it fell flat. 
 
The momentum seems to continue with ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘ABCD 2’. ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ has managed Rs 37.05 crore in the first weekend and is holding the fort well. Also ABCD 2, sequel of ABCD, managed to get the biggest opening for 2015 and continues to do a good business over the week. 
 
The later half will see a slew of big- starrer movies such as Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, Vikas Bahl of Queen fame’s ‘Shaandaar’, ‘Singh is Bling’ featuring Akshay Kumar, Nikhil Advani’s ‘Katti Batti’, Aishwarya Rai’s comeback movie ‘Jazbaa’ and also ‘Dilwale’ in which fans will see Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol paired together. In addition, there will also be a third installment of ‘Hate Story’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’ to look forward to. 
 
Commenting on the movie sentiment of 2015, Komal Nahata, Trade Analyst shared, “It has been a good 2015 so far. Sure there were some upsets in the start of the year but May has been extremely kind and the rest of the year looks really promising." 
 
We hope that the forthcoming movies get the cash ringer buzzing for Bollywood and we continue to see some entertaining movies in the latter half of the year.
