The series C funding comprises USD 15-million in <keyword id="21822065" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-closure" source="keywords">equity closure</keyword>, as part of its ongoing USD 50-million round, which comprises USD 40-million in equity and USD 10-million in debt, the company said in a statement. The fresh capital raised under Series C, in which other investors existing investors 9unicorns, IAN fund, venture catalysts, WFC and others also participated, will be utilised to expand Zypp's fleet from 21,000 to 2-lakh electric scooters and extend its services to 15 cities across India by 2026, it added. The fresh investment will help Zypp in the last-mile delivery space with sustainable EV solutions, said Akash Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Zypp Electric. "We are eager to expand our fleet and enhance our tech platform, driving significant growth across India. These funds will be utilised to drive the company towards the full path of growth along with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) profitability," he added. Further, Zypp Electric said it has forayed into the three-wheeler cargo business and claims of soon crossing 1,000 electric L5 loaders in its EV fleet and added that the company is set to cater to a wider range of business needs while maximising revenue streams, among others. According to Zypp Electric, it clocked Rs 325-crore revenue in FY 2023-24 and launched operations in Mumbai and Hyderabad recently. "In India, the last-mile delivery market is skyrocketing especially within urban areas. Zypp is operating its business as a pioneer in the EV motorcycle delivery market with competitiveness and this is the reason why we made the decision to invest," ENEOS was quoted as saying in the statement. Zypp Electric raises $15 million funding in Series C Round

Space-tech company Skyroot raises ₹225 cr in pre-Series C funding

FreshToHome raises $104 mn in Series D funding round led by Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund

New Delhi, E-commerce aggregation platform <keyword id="4178573" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="ShipRocket">Shiprocket</keyword> on Thursday announced it has raised $27 million (nearly 200 Crore) in <keyword id="45633" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="series">Series</keyword> C3 funding. The company said it will use the fresh funds towards aggressive product development roadmap, which includes hiring top talent across product, data, and engineering functions. The funds will also focus on the company's new strategic initiatives, including expanding globally. The fresh funding round was co-led by Tribe Capital, a leading Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, along with March Capital, a Santa Monica-based venture growth firm. "Shiprocket is the first and the largest D2C shipping enabler in India today. With the growth in D2C as a share of overall <keyword id="436047" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ecommerce">eCommerce</keyword>, there is a growing opportunity to enable the full-stack of services in the post-purchase journey of the D2C consumer," said Saahil Goel, CEO and Co-founder, Shiprocket. The latest round brings Shiprocket's total funding to $53 million. Shiprocket is now looking to hire product managers and engineers after raising $27 million in funds

With the current round of fund raise, the company wants to drive credit uptake in the economy especially for the unserved and underserved segment of the population. "With a larger portfolio of loan products, our objective is to provide credit to over 180 million New-to-Credit customers who were not provided formal credit earlier. The group launched its flagship brand KreditBee in May 2018, focused on full-stack digital lending for young professionals. The platform specialises in providing digital personal loans and consumer durable loans to both salaried and self-employed. The loan amount disbursed can go as high as ₹2 lakh while the tenures range from two months to 15 months. The company said it currently has over 1,200 employees and a user base of over 20 million with over 4 million credit customers. The platform plans to diversify its product offering by venturing into digitally-enabled secured loans, home loans and credit line. Lending startup KreditBee gets ₹545 crore from Premji invest, Mirae Asset and others

Taylor said that the site had around 200 million users and two million creators with "very vast, very spread out, diverse content.""We will not push you down a rabbit hole," Blair said, adding that the company doesn't use algorithms to direct users towards recommended content.She said that the site doesn't monetize data and would never offer advertisements."Your data's not a product," Blair said.OnlyFans, which was founded in 2016, allows creators to post content on the site, with some available for free and other items accessible only through a paid subscription. The platform is used by creators ranging from musicians to comedians but has become best known for its explicit content."We are in the headlines constantly," so "we do have this incredible brand recognition," Blair said. But she added that this had led to a "misconception about our brand." Even fax machines were commonplace as recently as eight years ago. When, four years ago, the company's CEO issued a challenge to explore and examine innovations ranging from 3D printing and asset sharing to automation and blockchain, it was clear that someone in the <keyword id="11909334" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="c-suite" source="Orion">C-suite</keyword> needed to step up. The organization required a primary driver of innovation across the company - someone who could lead an executive team charged with identifying, evaluating, deploying, and investing in emerging technologies. It was Jones, the CMO, who immediately raised her hand. "I think what I bring to the table is more of an outward-facing customer perspective around <keyword id="11893017" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="technology" source="Orion">technology</keyword>," Jones told Insider. "Organizations can get lost in their own internal processes, forgetting the voice of the customer." With 14 years of previous experience marketing technology products at Hewlett Packard, she said, "I know how to develop and bring products to market, so I said I'd love to take this on and lead this for the company." <h2>Ryder's priorities for driving tech innovation</h2>Jones and her team quickly prepared to tackle four top priorities. The first was e-commerce, which, though growing fast before COVID-19, exploded during the pandemic. The growth required even more efficient supply chain and fulfillment capabilities. "We knew we needed to add those technologies in a big way to our portfolio," Jones said. Next, with 235,000 trucks in Ryder's fleet, the company had to figure out how to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to the future of electric and autonomous vehicles. "We had to think about what kind of impact that would have on our business," she said. <div type="image" title="Transport company Ryder's logo" height="2592" width="3888" msid="85489250" hostid="261"></div>Asset sharing was also a growing trend, which led Ryder to launch COOP by Ryder in 2018, a first-of-its-kind, Airbnb-like commercial truck sharing platform that connects truck owners with idle trucks and shippers in need of vehicles. Today, COOP has more than 6,000 vehicles on its platform and operates in nine states. Finally, Jones made sure the company focused on digitizing many internal processes and building out supply chain and logistics capabilities to track shipments. "These were the areas that clearly gave us the long-term growth capability we needed to stay relevant in a market that was changing pretty rapidly," she said. <h2>The launch of RyderVentures</h2>Most recently, the company went to the next level of finding and funding innovation by launching RyderVentures in October 2020. The venture capital fund is actively investing $50 million over the next five years in next-generation applications. "Any business leader now in the C-suite needs to be thinking about technology innovation," said Jones. "I think CMOs play a critical role when it comes to impacting the customer experience through data - I always say marketers were into data and analytics before it was cool." <h2>Collaborating with the C-suite network to continue transforming technology</h2>Yet, Jones is quick to point out that no C-suite executive works alone. When it comes to technology innovation, the role of the chief information officer becomes even more important, she explained. "Having a great CIO to work with, who can help the organization understand the foundational, architectural requirements is really important," she said. "Sometimes there can be a little bit of a tug of war between marketing and IT, but we have a great relationship and partnership." Jones said her team is always learning. "I think we're off to a healthy start, and in the last five years, our company has matured greatly on customer-facing technology," she said. But, she added, the company is not finished "by a long shot." "While we've chosen several areas to focus on, we could wake up tomorrow and there could be another area of innovation to explore that we hadn't really anticipated," she said.
