By day, he was a <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/billionaire-cloudflare-ceos-lawsuit-over-neighbors-dogs-getting-wild-2024-4">CloudFlare</a> sales executive. But after work, he spent up to 15 hours a week attending hackathons, meetups, and venture events to source the <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/most-promising-startups-2024-according-top-vcs-2024-8">next hot startup</a>.There were many times when Pangulur just jumped straight into chasing a deal after a long day of work. He recalled when his CloudFlare team closed a high-stakes deal late on a Friday at the end of a quarter. But instead of celebrating with this team, he met with a hot seed stage company."I was trying to get into a pretty high profile seed round as well that had very little allocation left in the deal," he said, adding that he had to really beg to get a spot. After chatting with the CEO until midnight, Pangulur got into the deal.He started his side hustle investing efforts by writing small checks but soon found himself flooded with deal flow. But as the dot-com bubble brewed in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Pangulur decided to pursue finance.After college, he worked on the M&amp;A team at KeyBanc Capital Markets and then joined Lehman Brothers, focusing on software investments. With over 75 data providers, Clay helps its customers tailor outreach with more detailed information on potential customers such as a company's headcount and its fundraising history.Clay's AI agent also supports research around prospects. The "Claygent" can answer questions about target companies based on company domains, such as details about its competitors. The round was also participated by other investors, including Incred Financial Services, Unity Small Finance Bank, Oxyzo Financial Services and Western Capital Advisors. "The recent round of investments will allow us to grow our battery manufacturing capabilities to a 2 GWH capacity by the end of 2024," Log9 Material Founder and CEO <keyword id="6381441" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="akshay" source="Orion">Akshay</keyword> Singhal said in a statement. He further said it will also help the company to commission its first fully integrated Lithium Ion Cell production line. Over the years, the various elements of the US armed forces have been pursuing more and more anti-ship capabilities."Torpedoes, such as the heavyweight MK-48, are still the primary method used to sink enemy ships," the Air Force Research Laboratory has said of this type of combat, but "new methods explored through QUICKSINK may be able to achieve the same kind of anti-ship lethality with air-launched weapons, including modified 2,000-pound class precision-guided bombs."That opens the doors to bomber aircraft and other platforms that might prove less vulnerable than submarines and possibly more effective."A Navy submarine has the ability to launch and destroy a ship with a single torpedo at any time, but by launching that weapon, it gives away its location and becomes a target," the Air Force said.The service added that QUICKSINK "aims to develop a low-cost method of achieving torpedo-like seaworthy kills from the air at a much higher pace and over a much larger area than covered by a lumbering submarine."In addition to B-2s dropping QUICKSINK bombs, a US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet used a Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile, or LRASM, to help sink the Tarawa. This relatively new weapon is a "precise, stealthy, and survivable cruise missile" that is capable of offensive anti-surface warfare, Third Fleet said.The first SINKEX event, which involved the sinking of the decommissioned amphibious transport dock USS Dubuque, took place on July 11.
