Indian auto manufacturer Mahindra &amp; Mahindra is recalling around 23,000 units of a select variant of its popular <keyword id="6356028" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Sports">sports</keyword> utility vehicle (SUV) Scorpio to rectify faulty pressure-regulating valves.
 The Mumbai-based company said it would hold preventive inspection of some parts of its <keyword id="2410406" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Scorpio-Ex">Scorpio Ex</keyword> variant manufactured between May 2012 and November 2013. 
	 

	According to a statement issued by the company, “This recall is limited only to the Scorpio Ex variant manufactured during the said period and does not affect any other Scorpio variants.”
 

	The statement also said that the inspection and necessary part replacement, if any, would be carried out with immediate effect. It would be done free of cost for Scorpio Ex customers, who would be individually contacted by the company or authorised dealers, it added.
 

	The automaker had undertaken a similar exercise on 985 units of Scorpio Ex variant in 2014.
 Nearly 6.09 lakh vehicles have been recalled ever since auto industry body <keyword id="108827" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="SIAM">SIAM</keyword> (<keyword id="82374" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Society-of-Indian-Automobile-Manufacturers">Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers</keyword>) initiated voluntary recall policy for safety reasons in July 2012. The model has been priced between Rs 9.74 lakh and Rs 14.01 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai). 
 
The model comes with 'Intelli-Hybrid' technology, which reduced fuel consumption by up to 7% since it helps the engine with electric power during acceleration. This automatically switches the engine off while the vehicle is stationary (start-stop) and re-uses the otherwise wasted brake energy. 
 "By reducing fuel consumption, Intelli-Hybrid helps Scorpio owners contribute towards a cleaner and greener tomorrow," said <keyword id="46869" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="MM">M&amp;M</keyword> President &amp; Chief Executive (Automotive) Pravin Shah. 
 
The Intelli-Hybrid technology comes with the 2.2 Litre mHAWK engine, and will be available across all the trim levels. 
 
The starting model with the S4 Intelli-Hybrid will be tagged at Rs 9.74 lakh, while the top end S10-4WD manual transmission version would cost you Rs 14.01 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai).

The plan, he says, was to tell an "abstract, Pink Floyd-like story" that functions as a "loose biopic that captures the essence of Jen."The result is a deliberately self-indulgent opus packed with fantastical dreamscapes and choreography-laden musical numbers. It's all woven together by Lopez's narration, which is largely told via sessions with her therapist, played by Fat Joe (yes, really — and that's just one of many celebrity cameos). If that sounds like a lot, it's because it is. And that was on purpose.Below, Meyers unpacks the key moments from his and Lopez's maximalist creative vision.<h2>The original script was much longer, but the project was scaled back after they 'cut the budget in half'</h2>Meyers and Lopez conceived of the idea for "This Is Me…Now: A Love Story," without considering potential budgetary or creative limitations. "The original conception really was two kids in a candy store," Meyers said. "Once I got her into the sphere of wildness, we brainstormed out a full-length, 150-page script."Once they began shopping the film to different distributors, however, they were forced to "cut the budget in half." They zoom over a tranquil, sunset-dappled lake before Affleck loses control; they suffer a spectacular crash."Heartbreak is huge stakes. It's life or death," Meyers explained. "Riding the motorcycle through the waters of Bolivia was really about the dreaminess of love, of course, and then what happens."Another scene, set to the song "Rebound," shows Lopez wrestling with a violent partner who traps her in a glass house. I had never felt anything like that before," she replies. Each actor portrays a different zodiac sign, and it's a star-studded bunch — no pun intended. Keke Palmer (Scorpio) frets, "What's with her and all the bad boys?" Post Malone (Leo) quips, "Maybe it's daddy issues." This and other shock revelations figure in the <keyword id="6362387" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Investigation-Agency" source="Orion">National Investigation Agency</keyword> (NIA) charge sheet against Vaze and 9 other accused in the sensational planting of a SUV near the Ambani home Antilia and the subsequent killing of the vehicle owner Mansukh Hiran cases, filed in the Special NIA Court on September 3. The <keyword id="6354572" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="CBI" source="Orion">CBI</keyword> contended that the suspended and sacked cop Vaze was aiming to make a comeback as a 'Supercop' to regain his lost glory after he was reinstated into the Mumbai Police in 2020, after 16 years in the wilderness, but after the current case, he was sacked again. "Through extortion, he (Vaze) was collecting huge amount of money, part of which was used for the commission of instant crime. As evident from the threat note placed along with the (20 gelatin sticks) explosives in the vehicle (Scorpio SUV) planted by Vaze himself on Carmichael Road (on February 24) was an act of terror on the part of Vaze," said the NIA charge sheet. The 290-page dossier adds: "The intent was clearly to terrorize wealthy and prosperous individuals and also to extort money by putting them into fear of dire consequences. The post on Telegram channel 'Jaish Ul Hind' appears to be a deliberate attempt to add credibility to the above said act of terror, and the murder of Hiran was a direct outcome of the said act of terror." Later, the ex-cop ordered the killing of Hiran's murder as he was proving to be the proverbial 'weak link' in the entire conspiracy. Vaze allegedly forced Hiran to take the blame for planting the SUV with the explosive material, but when he refused to oblige, the cop along with others conspired to eliminate him, sitting in the Mumbai Police headquarters compound. Hiran was lured and bumped off by hired killers under the guidance of co-accused Pradeep Sharma, and the matter came to light after his body was fished out from the marshes of Thane Creek near Bhiwandi on March 5. Vaze had also asked Hiran to file the missing complaint of his vehicle to use it in the crime, and fake number plates belonging to Nita M. Ambani's security convoy, was used on the Scorpio SUV. After planting the car near Antilia, Vaze also got the case transferred to the Crime Intelligence Unit which he headed and destroyd incriminating CCTV footage, etc. He conducted a fake raid on March 5 - the date on which Hiran's body was recovered - to create proof that he was on duty far away from the scene of the crime pertaining, and later tried to project it as a suicide by circulating it through his media contacts, the NIA said. The NIA has produced the statements of 178 witnesses including 20 who are under protection, comprising one who has witnessed Vaze parking the Scorpio near Antilia and another who saw him while visiting the then ex-home minister Anil Deshmukh on February 24. The 10 accused are dismissed cops Vaze and Vinayak B. Shinde, both from Thane, and Mumbaikars - Naresh R. Gor of Grant Road, Hisamuddin Kazi of Jogeshwari, Sunil D. Mane, Santosh A. Shelar and Manish V. Soni, all from Malad, Anand P. Jadhav and Pradeep R. Sharma, both of Andheri, Satish T. Mothkuri of Goregaon, said the NIA. Taking a serious view of the twin cases which triggered a massive political row, all the accused have been slapped with terror and hatching terror plot charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, murder, and conspiracy to murder under Indian Penal Code besides the Arms Act and the Explosive Substance Act. The TUV doesn’t look like a cheap car, and has borrowed several design elements from its elder siblings – the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Scorpio">Scorpio</a> and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=XUV+500">XUV 500</a>, and that’s a good thing. 
 
This one is definitely not the sleekest option to ride to office, but if you want to go all out with the ‘bad boy’ feel, take a look.

The much-awaited, first-ever cross over model from <keyword id="44883" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> has finally been launched. The S-Cross was launched in the capital today amidst a glitzy ceremony at a top 5-star hotel in the city. 
 
The S-Cross crossover sport-utility vehicle in the country will be sold at a starting price point of Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 
 <keyword id="1595175" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kenichi-Ayukawa">Kenichi Ayukawa</keyword>, managing director of <keyword id="6912" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="maruti">Maruti</keyword>, said, “Maruti <keyword id="6911" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="suzuki">Suzuki</keyword> is evolving to changing customer needs. We have to enter new areas, open up new opportunities and offer new and better products to customers.” 
 With its newly-launched S-Cross SUV, Maruti is aiming to give a stiff competition to its rivals like <keyword id="147442" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hyundai-Motor-Co-">Hyundai Motor Co.</keyword>’s Creta, <keyword id="43777" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Renault">Renault</keyword> S.A.’s Duster, Ford Motor Co.’s EcoSport, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd.’s Scorpio and XUV500. 
 
The SUV measures 4.30 meters in length, 1.765 meters in width, 1.59 meters in height and 2.6 meters in wheelbase. The S-Cross has a ground clearance of 180 mm, and all variants come with 205/60 R16 tyres. 
 
Looking at the design aspect of this SUV, the S-Cross gets a dual-chrome grille up front, and rather toned down 16-inch alloy wheels. The rest of the car looks identical to the model sold in Europe. The dashboard is identical to the European S-Cross. In addition to this, the S-Cross will be offered with two diesel engines sourced from Fiat. The entry-level is 1.3-litre MultiJin the 90 PS/200 Nm tune matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. 
 
According to Indianautosblog.com: "The 1.6 litre engine settles into a quiet idle and NVH levels are indeed commendable. To put these levels into perspective, the NVH of the S-Cross 1.6 feels a tad more refined than a Swift diesel." 
 
"Flat out, the S-Cross 1.6 will hit 100 km/h in 11.3 seconds, claims Maruti. What we can tell you is that this engine needs time until 1,750 rpm to get a move-on. Progress between 1,750-4,000 rpm is extremely punchy, and dare we say addicting. However, below this point, this unit feels bogged down, forcing one to downshift for overtaking maneuvers," it said. 
 
The S-Cross is the first product to be sold through the new Nexa brand of showrooms which Maruti says, “will offer a premium experience to potential buyers.”
