Even during the ongoing <keyword id="6354831" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="indian-premier-league">Indian Premier League</keyword>, many online gaming platforms have been battling each other to grab maximum eyeballs. We have seen a constant rise in our business as we posted an increase of 500% CAGR in FY 19-20. We have utilized this sports break to further enhance our tech stack which is now capable of handling upwards of 1 million concurrent users on the app. Q)What kind of impact did the pandemic have on your platform? Did you witness a huge spike in terms of consumers coming on board, like a lot of other games have? While Baazi Games’ other platforms – PokerBaazi.com and <keyword id="10080501" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="rummybaazi-com">RummyBaazi.com</keyword> – saw a huge rise in participation, BalleBaazi.com, which is solely dependent on live sporting events witnessed a temporary dip in the traffic during this period. However, we kept our fans engaged by conducting Virtual Fantasy Leagues, Quizzes, and adding international sports like Baseball and Basketball. We kept our users enticed through our other gaming arms, resulting in a rise on our Rummy-based and Poker-based platforms. These applications aim at providing a favorable user experience and aim to expand their userbase in 2021 whilst adapting to the market rapidly. Q) What kind of potential does India present for the fantasy sports segment? What kind of growth has it been witnessing and what does the future hold? How are you contributing to that growth? India has a huge potential for Fantasy Sports as internet access has expanded according to a report published by the governing body of Fantasy Sports in India –The Federation of India Fantasy Sports (FIFS) – 2019 saw an overall turnover of Rs 920+ crore and due to work from home being adapted during the pandemic, it has even predicted the revenues to grow 3x as it may touch Rs 2,400+ crore in 2020. It also showed a rapid increase in the user base of Online Fantasy Platforms as the participants increased from 2 million in 2016 to 9 Million in 2019. The industry has also seen more players emerging as it increased from 10 operators in 2016 to 140+ operators by the end of 2019. With increasing number of users, the Contest Entry Amount (CEA) also shot up as it registered a total of Rs 16,500 crore in FY20 in comparison to Rs 6,000 crore in FY19. While we understand a lot of the industry-leaders are venturing into International waters, we feel it is important to ascertain our foothold in the Indian market first, before we expand to different markets. UTV Motion Pictures became the first in India to use the audio card service of Twitter for the official audio teaser of its upcoming movie <keyword id="6396827" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="PK">PK</keyword>, which releases this December. This new audio card is available in India through Twitter's partnership with SoundCloud, a leading third-party streaming service. 
 
The audio card allows you to listen to the audio with a single tap and the service is available for both iOS and Android users. It can also run in the background while users continue browsing the social networking website. 
 Audio card is a new feature being tested by <keyword id="749437" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Twitter-India">Twitter India</keyword>, and by using this service to launch the audio trailer of PK, UTV has surely made a step which would surely give it a first mover advantage. There are millions of Indian users on twitter and using an audio service is likely to benefit movie makers, production houses and musical artists in the future.

Indian actor Aamir Khan, who has been in news for his rant against controversial show AIB Roast and for his role of a wrestler in the upcoming movie Dangal, recently apologised to the people who were hurt by his last release PK. 
 
PK, 2014’s biggest hit, managed to hit both right and wrong chords because of its controversial topic, involving major Indian religions and faiths in Godmen. Aamir Khan, who played an alien in the movie, apologised to those offended by the movie at the launch of the movie’s DVD. 
 
"The film has been loved by the majority. Personally I want to say I feel bad if I hurt a single person; that was not my intention at all. What we wanted to tell we told that because it was an important point. But I want to apologise if I hurt people," Aamir was quoted saying. 
 
"Yes, we never expected this business. When we make a film with such effort and hard work and when people connect to the film emotionally you feel so good and fulfilled," he said. 
 
"Roughly the net collection in India is around Rs 340 crore and overseas is Rs 170 crore. So the net business is over Rs 500 crore and the gross may be Rs 600-650 crore," Aamir informed. 
 
Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani, who donned the hats of producer and director of the movie, respectively, were also present with Aamir Khan at the event. 
 
"We are actually pushing our limits, with every film we do we try to make new grounds. We almost spent almost five years to make this film and another six-seven months in the editing room perfecting every scene. This DVD is very precious," said Chopra. 
 
"This is the first time that I had deleted scenes in a film. Now when we watch them (deleted scenes) we realized those scenes were funny but because of the length we could not include it," Hirani was quoted saying. 
 PK, starring Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Saurabh Shukla and Boman Irani, released on December 19 last year and became the highest grosser in <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> despite several people demanding a ban on the movie, claiming that it hurt their religious sentiments.

The year 2014 is coming to a close. In this year we have witnessed quite a few hits. A handful of these movies created history by getting their name etched in the Rs 100 crore club, but then there were others that went unnoticed. 
 
The coming weekend, we will all be treated to Aamir Khan-staring <keyword id="6396827" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="PK">PK</keyword>. Generally, there is a lot of hype around a movie that stars Aamir Khan and PK is no different. This movie has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and jointly produced by Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It is the same trio that had delivered a hit like 3 Idiots, and the trade pundits are expecting PK recreate that magic.

There are some news reports <a href="http://www.koimoi.com/box-office/pk-box-office-prediction-will-it-make-50-cr-the-highest-day-total-ever/">which speculates</a> that this movie might get to make Rs 50 crore on the opening Friday. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Dutt. Interestingly, PK will be released in 5,200 screens in India and 600 screens in the overseas. 
 
As there is no holiday on this Friday, we are expecting the movie to remain in the 25-to-35-crore range, and pick steam over the weekend. We will not be surprised if the movie manages to get into the Rs 100 crore club in the first weekend from domestic sales alone. However, collecting a colossal Rs 50 crore during that period looks like a tall feet. 
 
Last year, Aamir Khan's action thriller Dhoom 3, which was released around the same time, managed to collect good money both at home and abroad.
