The Health Minister presented letters he had written earlier to the LG informing him about these vacancies. He stated that after taking over as the Health Minister of Delhi in March 2023, he wrote his first letter to the LG on April 19, 2023, informing him of a shortage of 292 General Medical Duty Officers (GDMOs) and 234 Specialists in Delhi Government hospitals, and appealed for these vacancies to be filled as soon as possible. No action was taken to fill these vacancies. Instead, doctors holding high positions in Delhi Government hospitals through <keyword id="22672127" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Health-Services" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Central Health Services" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Central Health Services">Central Health Services</keyword> (CHS) were also recalled by the Central Government, removing them from Delhi Government hospitals.

Delhi Health Minister accuses LG Vinai Saxena of not filling vacant posts in Delhi hospitals

New Delhi, The <keyword id="19914482" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="aap" source="keywords">AAP</keyword> on Friday claimed the CBI is planning to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind <keyword id="19895701" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kejriwal" source="keywords">Kejriwal</keyword> in the next few days and will serve him a notice by the evening. While the party did not say in which case Kejriwal is likely to be arrested, it said that this was being done to prevent the AAP from stitching an alliance with the Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as the <keyword id="19894848" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bjp" source="keywords">BJP</keyword> is scared of the two parties coming together. While there was no immediate response from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the AAP's claims, the BJP said AAP leaders are trying to create confusion and generate sympathy for Kejriwal. The Congress and the AAP are likely to have a seat-sharing pact in Delhi, Gujarat and Haryana for the Lok Sabha polls and the talks between the two sides are in the final stages, sources said on Thursday. Addressing a press conference here, Delhi cabinet minister and senior AAP leader <keyword id="19945966" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="saurabh-bharadwaj" source="keywords">Saurabh Bharadwaj</keyword> said as soon as reports of finalisation of seat-sharing talks between the Congress and the AAP started coming in, the ED sent a seventh summons to Kejriwal in the excise policy case. "We have learnt from reliable sources that the CBI is planning to arrest Kejriwal. The CBI will also serve a notice to Kejriwal either this afternoon or by the evening," Bharadwaj said. Kejriwal will be arrested in the next two to three days, he said. "We are getting messages that if the AAP-Congress alliance is formed, Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested. The BJP is scared of the AAP-Congress alliance. You can arrest Kejriwal if you want, but the alliance will be forged," he said. The Enforcement Directorate has issued a fresh summons to Kejriwal asking him to appear before it for questioning in the Delhi excise policy-linked money laundering case on February 26, sources said on Thursday. This is the seventh summons issued by the ED to the chief minister, who skipped the previous six. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak said people will take to the streets if Kejriwal is arrested. "There will be a tsunami. Their (BJP) political calculations will go wrong. We are not scared of being arrested. We are forging this alliance for the country," he said. Delhi BJP president <keyword id="20040814" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="virendra-sachdeva" source="keywords">Virendra Sachdeva</keyword> said Kejriwal knows that the talks on the AAP's alliance with the Congress are failing but AAP leaders have been spreading rumours since Thursday and are trying to generate sympathy for the chief minister. "Kejriwal may delay his punishment with the help of lawyers but ultimately, the people of Delhi will punish him harshly in the coming elections," the BJP leader said. The AAP and Kejriwal should remember that Congress leader Ajay Maken had submitted the first written complaint to the lieutenant governor regarding the liquor "scam" under his government, Sachdeva said. The BJP won all the seven seats in Delhi with 51 per cent votes in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and 59 per cent in 2019. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the people of Delhi will give 70 per cent votes to the BJP, he asserted.

CBI to arrest Kejriwal in few days, will serve him notice by evening: AAP

Prime Minister also announced the formation of an ASEAN India Fund for Digital Future, which would provide financial connectivity between ASEAN and India, said Kumar, adding, "Prime Minister also announced support for ERIA (Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia), which is an ASEAN think tank, which would be our knowledge partner to further deepen ASEAN-India relations." He also said that the Prime Minister, during his interactions and discussions, "called for a free, open and rules-based Indo-Pacific, emphasised ASEAN centrality and made the point that cod complements the same". Following his participation in the summits, PM Modi thanked Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, and the people. "Had a very short but fruitful Indonesia visit, where I met ASEAN and other leaders. More than nine in 10 Indian consumers, that is about 95 per cent, want an all-in-one platform to get better entertainment experiences, a new report said on Monday. While 72 per cent of consumers in the country said they would pay for an all-in-one platform for their entertainment services, five in six want the option to share their streaming profiles across platforms for better content personalisation, according to the report by <keyword id="6370971" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="accenture" source="Orion">Accenture</keyword>. "With a growing focus on revenue over the content and rising customer dissatisfaction with their media experiences, the streaming industry is at a critical stage of evolution," said <keyword id="5685226" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="saurabh-kumar-sahu" source="Orion">Saurabh Kumar Sahu</keyword>, managing director and lead for Communications, Media and Technology industry group, Accenture in <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>. Moreover, the report also revealed that around 41 per cent of consumers in India unsubscribed from at least one of the top five streaming video-on-demand services in the last 12 months and 42 per cent said that they plan to remove one or more in the next 12 months. Over six in 10 consumers (62 per cent) in the country reported frustration at finding something to watch. While 77 per cent of users reported feeling overwhelmed by the range of streaming services available, 30 per cent said it takes more than 10 minutes to settle on a streaming choice, said the report. Further, the report mentioned three emerging roles for entertainment companies competing for consumers' time, attention and money are-- audience aggregators, audience cultivators and content merchants. "The shifts in consumer preferences and behaviour point towards the need for aggregation. As value becomes the key determinant of success, media companies need to become more customer-centric using data and analytics," said <keyword id="250493" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="neeraj-sharma" source="Orion">Neeraj Sharma</keyword>, managing director of Communications, Media and Technology, at Accenture in India. Introduced under UPI 2.0 by NPCI, UPI Autopay helps customers make recurring payments using any UPI application that supports the feature. <keyword id="6518549" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="saurabh-agarwal" source="Orion">Saurabh Agarwal</keyword>, Head of Google Play Retail &amp; Payments Activation - India, Vietnam, Australia &amp; New Zealand, said, “We are always looking at adding popular and effective forms of payment around the world to ensure people can pay for apps and in-app content conveniently. With the introduction of UPI Autopay on the platform, we aim to extend the convenience of UPI to subscription-based purchases, helping many more people access helpful and delightful services – while enabling local developers to grow their subscription-based businesses on Google Play.” According to Google, UPI Autopay makes setting up subscriptions easy. After selecting a subscription plan for purchase, users need to simply tap on the payment method in the cart, select “Pay with UPI,” and then approve the purchase in their supported UPI app. Earlier this year, Google said that from January 1, 2022, it would be unable to save customer card details like expiry date and card number. The change came from the Reserve Bank of India's new e-mandate policy. With this new payment option, Google Pay will help consumers transact safely and seamlessly in more than 170 markets. The platform has also been focused on removing complexities associated with finding and integrating local payments, including access to over 300 local payment methods supported in more than 60 countries. Google Play introduces UPI Autopay payment to simplify recurring payments for subscription-based purchases in India

Doctors of Medanta Super-speciality Hospital have successfully attached the severed hand of a 21-year-old MBBS student, using a part of chest muscles and bone grafting. Consultant of Plastic Surgery, Dr <keyword id="209509" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="vaibhav-khanna" source="Orion">Vaibhav Khanna</keyword>, while briefing about the case, said: "The right hand of the patient, <keyword id="6398262" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="saurabh" source="Orion">Saurabh</keyword>, was almost completely severed from the shoulder and hanging from only one nerve. As soon as he was admitted to the hospital, a nine-hour long procedure involving multiple surgeries and bone grafting was performed in which not only the arm, but muscles and nerves were also reattached." "The anaesthesia team reconstructed all the neurovascular structures and soft tissues. At the same time, for vascularisation, a flap of muscle from the chest was transplanted and the muscles of the hand were repaired. Simultaneously, to fix the broken humerus mid shaft, the orthopaedic team decided to do internal bone fixation," he explained. After the operation, the patient was shifted to <keyword id="47851" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="icu" source="Orion">ICU</keyword> where he was hydrodynamically stabilised and given medication support. The doctor said that Saurabh's hand is recovering well and has become vascularised and stable.
