 Siddiqui will be seen in the titular role playing Dashrath, a man who loses his beloved wife (played by Apte) to the lack of medical facility in his village, thereby resolving to cut through the mountain, creating the much needed pathway to the nearest medical centre, so that no one else suffers the same cruel fate. Christened by movie’s director <keyword id="35883" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="ketan-mehta">Ketan Mehta</keyword> as poor people’s Shah Jahan, Dashrath <keyword id="2246297" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Manjhi">Manjhi</keyword> was also the topic of the first episode of the second season of <keyword id="75525" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Satyamev-Jayate">Satyamev Jayate</keyword>, the famous Indian talk show hosted by actor <keyword id="6355923" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Aamir-Khan">Aamir Khan</keyword>. 
 
The movie has been produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Maya Movies, and NFDC, and would release on 21st August 2015.

 Satyamev Jayate 2 on Star Plus got a grand opening on people-meters and helped the channel cross the 700-TVM mark again. As per TAM data for Week 10, the launch episode was watched by a massive 26 million viewers. When extrapolated to the all-India <keyword id="6471260" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Universe">universe</keyword>, as per standard industry conversions, it means that the launch episode was watched by 79 million viewers.
 The show recorded 7429 TVT in All-India (All 4+, All India) and a <keyword id="1929291" type="COMPANY" weightage="40" keywordseo="HSM">HSM</keyword> TVT of 6770 (All 4+, HSM). These are simulcast ratings of the original episode aired on Sunday morning 11 AM across seven channels (Star Plus, Star Pravah, Star World, Star Utsav, Star Vijay, Asianet and Doordarshan) along with the 1 PM original airing on ETV Telugu.

	According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 10 of TAM 2014 (February 2 - March 8) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus led the Hindi GEC genre with a distant margin followed by Zee TV at No. 2 and Colors at No. 3. By adding 32 TVM to its gross viewership, Life OK strengthened its position at No. 4. While SAB rose to No. 5, Sony slipped to No. 6.

	By adding maximum 80 TVM to its gross viewership this week on the back of Satyamev Jayate 2 and other fiction shows, Star Plus's GTVM was recorded at 717 TVM with a relative share of 26.97% (last week 637 TVM with 24.5% relative share).

	Zee TV witnessed a decline of 20 TVM in its gross viewership but held No. 2 position with a big margin. The channel recorded 528 TVM with a relative share of 19.86% (last week 548 TVM with 21.08% relative share).

	Colors lost maximum 30 TVM and dropped to 435 GTVM. It had a relative share of 16.36% (last week 465 TVM with 17.88% relative share).

	Life OK witnessed a surge in its viewership in the second consecutive week and strengthened its position at No. 4. The channel recorded GTVM of 373 against last week's 341. The relative share of the channel was 14.03% in Week 10 of TAM 2014 against last week's 13.12%.

	<keyword id="14750" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="SAB-TV">SAB TV</keyword> returned to No. 5 with 305 TVM and 11.47% relative share (last week 303 TVM and 11.65% relative share).

	Sony slipped to No. 6 recording GTVM of 301 million. It had a relative share of 11.32% (last week 306 TVM and 11.77% relative share).

Thiruvananthapuram, <keyword id="19896018" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kerala" source="keywords">Kerala</keyword>: In a move to empower school children, the <keyword id="22767948" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kerala-General-Education-Department" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Kerala General Education Department" meta.hostid="83" meta.entityid="Kerala General Education Department">Kerala General Education Department</keyword> has added 'Fact-Checking' modules as part of new <keyword id="21870096" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ICT-textbooks" source="keywords">ICT textbooks</keyword> for Classes 5 and 7, designed to help students recognize fake news and perform fact-checking on online platforms. The move by the Kerala government was implement even ahead of UK which reportedly is is planning to revise their primary curriculum by including this topic. Earlier in 2022, Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), the technology arm of Kerala General <keyword id="19921999" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="education-department" source="keywords">Education Department</keyword>, had imparted Fake News prevention and awareness creation training for 19.72 lakh students of Grades 5 to 10, as part of the Digital Media Literacy programme. It was the first time in India that such a massive training was given to 9.48 Lakh Upper Primary students and 10.24 High school students with the help of 5920 trainers. The 2.5 hours of training which was titled 'Satyameve Jayathe' focused on four sections which included the 'Use of the Internet in day-to-day life', 'Social Media requires us', 'Rights and Wrongs in Social Media' and how to prevent the spread of fake news. The false information shared through digital media, the negative impact it creates on society and the verification of the authenticity of information were made part of the training through various 'Case Studies'. The training also focused on areas such as understanding the influence of digital media in information transactions, creating an urge towards knowing non-factual interference in digital media and how to react to them constructively, acquiring technical knowledge in understanding the truth behind transacted messages, developing skills to identify and react to glitches in information transaction through media literacy. It also includes specific areas such as the meaning and definition of Misinformation and Dis-Information and their impact on society, non-factual and misinterpreting information shared through digital media, the social impact of facts presented in an emotional language, authenticity of information etc. "The new ICT textbook includes chapters that equip students to identify fake news and malicious content, embodying the spirit of Satyameva Jayate", said K.AnvarSadath, CEO, of KITE. Next year, when the ICT textbooks for Classes 6, 8, and 9, and 10 are revised, they will incorporate the latest developments in this field. Not only does it teach students to identify fake news and verify its authenticity, but the chapter titled 'Let's Search the Internet' in the Class 5 ICT textbook also covers how to effectively manage screen time. Similarly, the Class 7 ICT textbook chapter titled 'Let's Search and Find' elaborates on the importance of verifying the authenticity of information and explains why spreading or sharing false information is a crime. Further, the ICT textbook also includes information about the precautions to be taken before sharing information with others, the need to educate those who provide such information about its potential consequences, and the concept of copyright. In the new (same) ICT textbook for Class 7, for the first time in the country, 4 lakh students have been given the opportunity to learn Artificial Intelligence (AI). Kerala government implements 'Fake News detection' in school textbooks

With the Supreme Court directing Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to ensure a <keyword id="6536583" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="floor-test">floor test</keyword> on Wednesday and that there be no secret ballot, the NCP on Tuesday said only truth will prevail and that it was "end of the BJP's game". "Satyamev Jayate BJP ka khel khatm" (truth alone shall win, end of the BJP's game), NCP's chief spokesperson Nawab Malik tweeted after the apex court gave its ruling. The Supreme Court directed that the floor test for Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to prove his majority in the Maharashtra Assembly be conducted on Wednesday. The apex court also directed Governor Koshyari to ensure that all elected members of the House are sworn in on Wednesday itself. The entire exercise has to be completed by 5 pm. Voting in the Assembly shall not be on the basis of secret ballot, it said.

It had a popular first season and is currently on its way to the second. But it was not the first time when Indian TV got a significant makeover. Over the years, we had been watching serials and soaps that entertained, amused, surprised and even shocked the audience. Here’s a look. 
 
1. Hum Log 
Shown on the Doordarshan in 1984, this series marked the beginning of the television revolution in India while viewers had their first taste of soap. 4. Flop Show Stand-up comedy and comic shows are the rage today. But this show never failed to minister a regular dose of laughter to its audience. Small Screen Shows That Changed The Face Of Indian Television In A Big Way

Ever since Bigg Boss, the biggest reality show in India, began its eighth season, it has been struggling to find a good position on the TRP chart. Reports suggest that Aamir Khan’s seasonal show, Satyamev Jayate 3, got better TRPs than Bigg Boss season 8. In fact, the eighth season’s ratings are the lowest compared to all past seasons of this show.
 

	These reports and rankings surely have been bothering the producers, who are trying hard to spice things up.
 

	For instance when the theme of aeroplane didn’t go down well with the audience, the producers shifted the contestants to a lavish house just one week after the premiere and toned down the aeroplane settings.
 

	Even after this, the audience didn’t appreciate the show and the producers had to call some wild card entries in the house to put things on the right track. These wild cards included Ali Quli Mirza, Dimpy Mahajan, Renee Dhyani and Nigaar Z Khan.

	As she plans to spend one week in three countries, India being one of them, we don’t think that she would be spending more than two nights in the Bigg Boss house. And the Indian Constitution, right from its birth, has stood for social equality across the board. At least, that’s what it aspires to do, as we have learnt over the years. Considered as the Supreme Law of land, the Indian Constitution needs to be revisited and reinvented as the times change and generations need a deeper understanding of their historical and democratic perspectives. 
 
Right now, India is at the crossroads. The old country that only rested on its past glory and celebrated its Independence from the British, a process that tore apart its very soul, has now emerged as one of the top powers in the world. But then, secularism is being questioned now and credentials are put under the scanner by its own people. So the time is quite ripe for revisiting the Indian Constitution. 
 As we all know, Dr <keyword id="857441" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Bhimrao-Ramji-Ambedkar">Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar</keyword> is hailed as the <keyword id="266114" type="POSITION" weightage="40" keywordseo="prime-architect">prime architect</keyword> of the Indian Constitution and he headed the <keyword id="2027910" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="Constitution-Drafting-Committee">Constitution Drafting Committee</keyword>. This 448-page document is divided into 25 parts, starting with a preamble. This sacrosanct document is the lifeline of India that holds together the country’s diverse cultures and different faiths. 
 
When the time is right to take another look at a document which is as old as Independence itself, it needs a newer perspective and format to reach the people coming from different age-groups. The old and the wise may have an easy understanding of the huge and complex document, but the young people need to be clued in on what governs their life on this land. 
 <keyword id="271" type="POSITION" weightage="40" keywordseo="actor">Actor</keyword> <keyword id="6355923" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Aamir-Khan">Aamir Khan</keyword> could be touching hearts with his soul-stirring show Satyamev Jayate, which is laying bare today’s realities – both positive and negative – on a private channel. 
 But what’s actually significant now is the new show on <keyword id="2170947" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Rajya-Sabha-Television">Rajya Sabha Television</keyword> called Samvidhaan, made by none other than the renowned director <keyword id="29916" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Shyam-Benegal">Shyam Benegal</keyword>. In the 80s Benegal had directed Discovery of India (Bharat Ek Khoj), based on a book penned by the <keyword id="202495" type="POSITION" weightage="40" keywordseo="first-prime-minister">first Prime Minister</keyword> of independent India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The show was a huge hit in those days when Doordarshan was the only TV channel in the country. But the reason behind its success was not the absence of choice for viewers but the impeccable treatment of characters and the intriguing story-telling through every single frame that fascinated the viewers, irrespective of their age-groups. 
 
Benegal, who has created a niche for himself with his supremely well-made movies in the 70s and 80s – mostly categorised as parallel cinema – is experimenting again with his 10-part mini series titled Samvidhaan – The Story of the Making of the Constitution of India. The show, telecast every Sunday at 10 am, a ‘prime’ time slot, targets a pan-India audience with its discourse on the Indian Constitution. 
 
Enough of analyses and interpretations have come up regarding the political situations that existed around the time when the Indian Constitution was drafted. The work of drafting a constitution for India started soon after the country gained its political independence from the ruling Great Britain. 
 
The show, which tells us the story of the Indian Constitution, lays as much emphasis on the incidents that occurred around the period when this all-important document was made. The first draft of Bharat Ka Samvidhan, as it is known in Hindi, was first submitted on November 4, 1947. The <keyword id="2170946" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="Draft-Committee">Draft Committee</keyword> had spent considerable time, developing a constitution that was made to suit the specific needs of India – a country which had lived through a turbulent past and was looking forward to continue on its own after remaining under the British rule for two centuries. 
 
Amendments, discussions and debates took place for about two years since the first draft was presented, leading to nearly 2,000 amendments to the original document prepared by the Drafting Committee members, headed by Dr Ambedkar. 
 
The Assembly intermittently held open sessions for the public over these two years before adopting the Constitution, which was approved by its 308 members on January 24, 1950. Two days later, the Constitution, which was federal in nature, became the Supreme Law of the land, and all the States and Union Territories of India came under its jurisdiction. 
 
The exercise during the days of putting together this crucial document was not only political, but also secular and neutral in nature – keeping in mind the welfare of all communities with special focus on the underprivileged. It was a hugely emotional moment for the leaders involved in the process and they made sure that the Constitution was accepted in the Parliament. 
 
With Samvidhaan, the show on television, Shyam Benegal tells an engaging story of a country that wrote its own fate to ensure a better socio-economic and political future, instead of being tossed around and dominated by stronger forces. The show comes at a time when India seems to be on the verge of leadership change and every poll survey shows that the secular and minority-friendly atmosphere of the country is in jeopardy. 
 
Maybe, just maybe, the country’s youth will spare a thought for what dominates their life and will come to respect it more than they respect technology.
