Uttar Pradesh has created a record of sorts by hosting the country's biggest girl '<keyword id="1580449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kanya-pujan" source="Orion">Kanya Pujan</keyword>' ceremony in Gonda district. The programme was held on Sunday under the Chief Minister's Mission Shakti Abhiyan and 11,880 young girls of different sections from different development blocks of the district participated in it. The grand 'Shakti Vandan' ceremony was organised by the district administration in the Shaheed Azam Bhagat <keyword id="366223" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="singh-college" source="Orion">Singh College</keyword> campus. Mission Shakti Cafe and Mission Shakti Wall, symbols of women's self-reliance and motherly power, were also inaugurated in the ceremony. On this occasion, nine women of the district who have done excellent work in various fields were also honored with the Navdevi Award. The specialty of the entire program was that it was organized as a zero-waste event. During this entire event, 138 kg of wet waste and about 70 kg of dry waste were generated. Its complete disposal was ensured. A compost pit was prepared at the program level for the disposal of wet waste. This garbage is being converted into fertilizer. Executive Officer <keyword id="62834" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sanjay-mishra" source="Orion">Sanjay Mishra</keyword> said that the dry garbage has also been divided into four parts -- glass, plastic bottles, paper waste and polythene. Their segregation was ensured at the event venue itself and the waste has been sent to the dry waste unit. Sanitation kits and nutrition bundles were distributed along with the worship of the girls who came from different blocks of the district. Additionally, the women power who raised the prestige of India in the country and the world through Mission Shakti Wall were honored in a new way by the district administration. Built with the message of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, this wall is dedicated to the women of the country who have excelled in different fields in the country and the world. Nine '<keyword id="19240500" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="matri-shaktis" source="Orion">Matri Shaktis</keyword>' of the district were also honoured for their excellent work in the Shakti Vandan ceremony. It also added that "any deviation from the order would amount to ‘dereliction of duty’ and would be liable for punitive action." The ED is a central probe agency that probes for large-scale financial crimes like money laundering. The senior officials contend that sensitive information related to ongoing probes have been leaked to the press, and that led to the latest gag order.

Both <keyword id="875510" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ankhon-Dekhi">Ankhon Dekhi</keyword> and <keyword id="6526" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Lakshmi">Lakshmi</keyword> are exceptional movies but look like box office bombs, unless they turn out to be <keyword id="1165784" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="sleeper-hits">sleeper hits</keyword>. Written and directed by <keyword id="51" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rajat-Kapoor">Rajat Kapoor</keyword> (he also plays one of the lead roles), the multi-starrer flick Ankhon Dekhi had poor response on Day 1 and could not even cross Rs 5 crore during the opening weekend, as per industry estimates (official numbers are yet to come in). It is the same tale of lacklustre <keyword id="2168413" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="BO-performance">BO performance</keyword> with Nagesh Kukunoor-directed Lakshmi although this one should be the most lauded, going by its sensitive yet realistic treatment of <keyword id="6357490" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Human-trafficking">human trafficking</keyword>, <keyword id="6476483" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Child-prostitution">child prostitution</keyword> and <keyword id="1834687" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sexploitation">sexploitation</keyword> of <keyword id="624" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Women">women</keyword> in general. As for <keyword id="2165865" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kolkata-Junction">Kolkata Junction</keyword>, a drama-thriller directed by <keyword id="10158" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Anjan-Dutt">Anjan Dutt</keyword>, the opening weekend collections reportedly stood at Rs 9 crore. 
 Theme-wise, these three flicks vary widely, but one can also notice the similarities without much effort. All three of them are <keyword id="1108336" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="low-budget-movies">low-budget movies</keyword>, don’t have so-called ‘hot’ star cast (although the veterans have actually acted their hearts out), the promotion part has been pretty low key and finally, none of them hit too many screens like the big-budget films do. Should we call that a sure-shot recipe for box office disaster? The promotion part needs to strategised well if good movies are to get great response. 
 
 
 Coming back to <keyword id="819874" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="the-movies">the movies</keyword>, we must say Ankhon Dekhi is worth the watch. It is a typical Rajat Kapoor film – funny, satirical and at the same time, deeply touching. It tells the tale of Raje Bauji (<keyword id="62834" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sanjay-Mishra">Sanjay Mishra</keyword>), a Delhi-based man in his late 50s, who only believes what he sees. The <keyword id="6374782" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="journey">journey</keyword> that follows walks you through the life of a commoner and the compromises he is compelled to make to survive in a hostile world. As one <keyword id="210839" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Critic">critic</keyword> says, “It is cinematically ecstatic... made beautifully on a very low budget… high on performances.” 
 
Nagesh Kukunoor-directed Lakshmi is an exceptional story of trauma and tragedy, courage and triumph. <keyword id="250" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Singer">Singer</keyword> <keyword id="294857" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Monali-Thakur">Monali Thakur</keyword> makes her acting debut as Lakshmi, a 13-year-old who has been kidnapped and sold into prostitution. The ruthless reality portrayed by every single character makes us squirm and ask ourselves the very question the movie is asking – are we being human? 
 
It’s not surprising that <keyword id="6354925" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kolkata">Kolkata</keyword> Junction has done a bit better at the ticket windows than the other two. Both the storyline and the performance are bound to thrill the audience and the numbers may look better after the second weekend.

Rumours have been doing the rounds about Zomato’s entry into the grocery segment, and its acquisition of UberEats in January had only fueled those rumours with Zomato getting access to a larger customer base as well as delivery partners. In 2019, Zomato’s rival Swiggy had announced its delivery service – Swiggy stores. Within six months of its launch in Gurugram, Swiggy had said that its grocery delivery service was operating at a significant scale even when compared to Swiggy’s food delivery volumes in the city, with plenty of headroom for growth. Meanwhile, FMCG major Marico has also partnered with Zomato and Swiggy for the delivery of essential supplies. “As one of India’s leading consumer companies, we are working towards ensuring the availability and easy access of essential food items to consumers. Zomato rolls out its grocery delivery service – Zomato Market

By Amit Kumar Das New Delhi, May 9 () Confined to their homes without access to courts due to the lockdown, India's young shuttlers are an "irritated" and "frustrated" lot, says chief junior national coach Sanjay Mishra, who feels more like a counsellor these days. The national lockdown to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, which has so far killed nearly 2000 people and infected more than 59,000 in India, is in place till May 17. "It has been nearly two months, the young players have been staying at home and now they are getting irritated and frustrated by the sheer mention of the word lockdown," Mishra, who took up the position in 2017, told during an interaction. "I keep telling them it is happening to the whole world not to you in particular and ask them to focus on boosting their mental toughness." Mishra says he tells his wards to try and control the negative thoughts which would also help them deal with tough match situations. "I tell them to remember the times when they got frustrated or irritated and lost crucial points in a match. The idea is to use these negative thoughts to address the mental weakness that they feel sometimes in a match," he said. "I have asked them to learn to control this irritation, these negative feelings, which also crop up in crucial moments and affect their performance. I tell them that dealing with this will also help in match situations." Mishra, who turned 52 on Saturday, said he has also asked them to utilise the available space at their homes to work on their movements. "Once you return to the court after a long period, it suddenly feels like the area of the court is bigger because right now, whatever they are doing, it is within 6-7 feet but when you have to move in a 20-feet court, it will be difficult initially," he explained. "So I have asked them to create a space which is equal to at least half a court and practice their movements." Mishra says the challenge for him is to find new ways to keep them motivated. "Besides the regular fitness drills like core exercises, agility training and wall practice, I also send them links of books, ask them to pick up a hobby like painting, gardening or may be cook something and share the video with them, just to keep them motivated and involved," the Raipur-based Mishra said. So when does he see badminton resuming? "No one has an answer to that question. What is happening now is once in a 100-200 year event and priority of the government will be to save lives not sports at the moment. "We have to accept it will take time, and we have to stay positive," he signs off. ATK PM PM

These ranks however will be for those offering STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) courses. The government aims to rope in over 90 institutions as a part of the new grading system. “Our policy will initially include 20 institutes which will adopt a self-assessment process to develop an accreditation model to help identify gender gaps and barriers to progression faced by women in science based on interviews with them,” Sanjay-Mishra, head of KIRAN division at the department of science and technology (DST)<a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/top-institutes-will-now-be-graded-on-gender-equality/articleshow/73283922.cms"> told </a>TOI. DST, along with British Council, will give ratings to institutions. The ministry will rate the institutions as gold, silver and bronze based on the number of women across verticals — including science faculty, research fellows and scientists and those sent for PhD programmes. Gold accreditation will recognise institutions that have attained gender equality in its educational programmes — and act as role models to those promoting women participation. Sliver, on the other hand will recognise those institutions that are implementing practices to overcome challenges in gender neutral approach and bronze will list those institutions that are working to promote equality. India slipped four spots to 112th in the <a href="https://www.livemint.com/news/india/india-slips-four-ranks-on-world-economic-forum-s-global-gender-gap-index-2020-11576574974188.html">Global Gender Gap Index 2020</a>, according to the <keyword id="69007" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="World-Economic-Forum">World Economic Forum</keyword> — which said that it will take nearly 100 years to attain gender parity across education, healthcare, politics and economy. The move is aimed to ‘recruit, retain and promote’ <keyword id="4244406" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="women-in-stem">women in STEM</keyword> areas. As per the report, women constitute merely 15% of faculty positions in science. In the research programmes, women account for a third of the PhD awardees. “This will definitely give a much needed thrust to the inclusion of women in academia. However a key challenge will be to define the terms of how institutions will effectively measure gender equality. They should not merely execute gender equality on paper, rather it should ensure inclusion in education and employment,” Neeti Sharma, VP, TeamLease Services told Business Insider. In fact, women constitute only 5% of the total research fellows at the <keyword id="81569" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-National-Science-Academy">Indian National Science Academy</keyword> (INSA).
