The Indian version of "<keyword id="20621486" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Night-Manager" source="keywords">The Night Manager</keyword>", starring <keyword id="19908194" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Anil-Kapoor" source="keywords">Anil Kapoor</keyword>, <keyword id="19963248" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Aditya-Roy-Kapoor" source="keywords">Aditya Roy Kapoor</keyword> and <keyword id="19902028" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sobhita-Dhulipala" source="keywords">Sobhita Dhulipala</keyword>, has received a nomination in the drama series category at the 2024 International Emmy Awards. "The Night Manager" is the only entry from India across 14 categories at the nominations that were announced on Thursday in New York by the International Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences (IATAS). The series, directed by <keyword id="23240351" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sandeep-Modi" source="keywords">Sandeep Modi</keyword> and <keyword id="23246289" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Priyanka-Ghose" source="keywords">Priyanka Ghose</keyword>, is adapted from both -- the John le Carre's novel and the British show, starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman. "The Night Manager" will compete with French show "Les Gouttes de Dieu" (Drops of God), "The Newsreader - Season 2" from Australia and "Iosi, El Espia Arrepentido" season two from Argentina in the category. Kapur, who essayed the titular Night Manager, said he is happy that his series debut received an International Emmy nod and it is a "big moment" for the entire team. "An Emmy Nomination for my first series.. wow! From day one, we knew that we were creating something special with The Night Manager but for it to receive so much love and recognition across the country, and the world was not something any of us had imagined. This is such a big moment for us all!" he said. In the Indian take, Kapur played Shaan Sengupta, a hotel night manager, who goes undercover to bring down the empire of arms dealer Shaildendra 'Shelly' Rungta (played by Anil Kapoor). Kapoor said he is "ecstatic" over the nomination, which is a "worthy reminder" that hard work always pays off. "It's just been brought to my attention that our Indian adaptation of 'The Night Manager' has been nominated for an International Emmy. I remember when the offer came in, I was conflicted. It offered me the opportunity to play a character so complex, but also, on the other hand, the huge responsibility of trying to add newness and authenticity to a part that had been played so masterfully by Hugh Laurie. "This validation from the Emmys, in addition to the tremendous love that we have received from fans worldwide, is a worthy reminder that hard work always pays.. I am ecstatic and hungrier than ever before for what's to come," the actor said. The International Emmys, to be held in New York on November 25, will be hosted by Indian comedian Vir Das, who won an award last year for his stand-up special "Landing". Nominees for International Emmys come from different countries such as Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, India, Chile, Colombia, France, Japan, Germany and many others. 'The Night Manager' nominated in drama series category at International Emmys, Anil Kapoor 'ecstatic'

Mumbai, Actor <keyword id="2104801" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kartik-aaryan" source="Orion">Kartik Aaryan</keyword> is set to star in filmmaker <keyword id="3778" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="karan-johar" source="Orion">Karan Johar</keyword>'s upcoming home production, the makers announced on Wednesday. The untitled film will be directed by Sandeep Modi of "The Night Manager" fame. A <keyword id="62161" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dharma-productions" source="Orion">Dharma Productions</keyword> and Balaji Telefilms Ltd presentation, the movie is a Dharma Productions project. It is produced by <keyword id="1732860" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="hiroo-yash-johar" source="Orion">Hiroo Yash Johar</keyword>, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shobha Kapoor, <keyword id="18583728" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ektaa-R-Kapoor" source="Orion">Ektaa R. Kapoor</keyword>. Karan Johar shared the announcement in an Instagram post on the occasion of Aaryan's 33 birthday. This film is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2025. New Delhi, <keyword id="20108985" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="hindustan-zinc" source="keywords">Hindustan Zinc</keyword> Ltd (<keyword id="20256739" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="hzl" source="keywords">HZL</keyword>) on Friday posted a 6 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 2,028 crore during the quarter ended December 2023, dragged by lower income. It had clocked Rs 2,156 crore net profit during the October-December period of the preceding 2022-23 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing. On a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis, the company's profit grew 17 per cent as against Rs 1,729 crore in the July-September quarter. During the quarter under review, the company's total income reduced to Rs 7,606 crore from Rs 8,214 crore a year ago. Its expenses were Rs 4,937 crore as against Rs 5,028 crore in the year-ago period. On the company's efforts to reduce carbon emissions, Arun Misra, Chief Executive Officer of HZL, said: "Hindustan Zinc has initiated the deployment of electric and LNG vehicles in its operations for inter-unit movements and finished goods transportation, thereby reducing the scope 3 emissions." Its CFO Sandeep Modi said, the performance "marks the company's fourth consecutive quarter of consistent cost improvement and the lowest cost in the last 10 quarters. We continue to remain focused on cost optimisation, operational efficiencies, working capital management, digital improvements and shareholder value maximisation." HZL's production of mined metal in the quarter rose 8 per cent to 271 kilo tonne (kt) sequentially and 7 per cent up year-on-year (y-o-y), driven by higher ore production at Rampura Agucha and <keyword id="20256741" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sindesar-khurd" source="keywords">Sindesar Khurd</keyword> mines. In the quarter under review, its refined metal production grew 7 per cent to 259 kt sequentially and 1 per cent higher y-o-y. Integrated zinc production in the quarter increased 10 per cent to 203 kt sequentially and declined 4 per cent y-o-y. In the December quarter, production of refined lead fell 1 per cent to 56 kt sequentially but grew 21 per cent y-o-y. Its saleable silver production in the quarter was 197 MT (metric tonne), up 9 per cent q-o-q and 22 per cent y-o-y. <keyword id="20006961" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sharing" source="keywords">Sharing</keyword> an update on the projects, HZL said its fumer and alloy plants are currently under operation after their commissioning in the last quarter, while a new roaster at Debari of 160 ktpa and Hindustan Zinc Fertilisers Private Ltd (HZFPL) of 510 ktpa for main process package is on track. The company generated a cash flow of Rs 2,097 crore during the quarter. Total borrowings outstanding as of December 2023 was Rs 10,111 crore. During the quarter, the company paid a dividend of Rs 2,535 crore. Hindustan Zinc is the world's second largest integrated zinc producer and fifth largest silver producer. The Udaipur-based company holds about 80 per cent of the growing zinc market in the country.
