His move will come hard on Infosys CEO <keyword id="6369763" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Vishal-Sikka">Vishal Sikka</keyword>, posing difficulties in monetizing his moves into new software and platforms. Dadlani had been in-charge of was the company’s revenue and margin from new software. It was on Thursday that Dadlani announced his resignation on LinkedIn, saying “I am extremely optimistic of Infosys’ continued success and its strong leadership team. I have decided to pursue my personal interests elsewhere. Next up: An out-of-the world assignment! Stay tuned.” His LinkedIn announcement was followed by a press release from Infosys announcing Dadlani’s departure, and the appointment of Karmesh Vaswani and Nitesh Banga in his place. Vaswani has been appointed as the Global Head – Retail, CPG &amp; Logistics, while Banga is the new Global Head of Manufacturing, effective July 15, 2017. “Sandeep has played a key role in the success of Infosys over his career and in our transformation journey these past three years. We wish him the best in the journey ahead,” said a statement from Sikka. Sandeep Dadlani quits Infosys for an 'out-of-the-world' new assignment

<keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> has handed out more than Rs 14 crore in compensation to its four senior executives, thanks to stock-based incentives. The stock incentives shot up the total compensation of presidents Rajesh Murthy, Sandeep Dadlani and Mohit Joshi, and deputy chief operating officer Ravi Kumar S by over 50% in the previous fiscal year. As per the annual report of Infosys, the increase was mainly in the form of performance-based stock incentives that will vest over four years. The news comes after the tussle between Infosys founders and the board members over the pay packages is yet to be resolved. Infosys founder <keyword id="51793" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="NR-Narayana-Murthy">NR Narayana Murthy</keyword> had expressed displeasure over the steep hike in compensation to chief operating officer UB Pravin Rao. In fiscal 2017, Rao's total compensation rose to Rs 11.80 crore from Rs 8.14 crore, including incentives. Also, last year, Infosys shareholders had questioned the pay hike given to CEO Vishal Sikka. Infosys has been battling a slew of issues - including questions on governance standards and slowing industry growth. Meanwhile, Infosys has also formed a 'committee of directors', which includes co-chairmen R Seshasayee and Ravi Venkatesan as well as board member DN Prahlad, that will support and advise the management in executing the company's strategy.

Infosys gave over Rs 14 crore in compensation to 4 senior executives

In a bid to expand its delivery network in Europe, <keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> is going to establish new centres in Croatia and Russia. 
 
The IT company has inked an agreement to provide engineering services to thermoelectric power plants producer Ansaldo Energia, will support the entity through the development centres in Karlovac, Croatia and Moscow, Russia. 
 
As a part of the agreement, Infosys will also deliver research and development service delivery and capabilities, along with engineering services to the enlarged Ansaldo Energia business. 
 
In a statement, Infosys said the facilities will have an initial combined capacity of up to 180 seats and operate as centres of excellence for engineering skills in turbo machinery, aerospace and automotive. 
 
However, no financial details were disclosed. 
 The centres will initially be staffed by engineers that bring to Infosys extensive experience previously gained while they were part of <keyword id="48503" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Alstom">Alstom</keyword>. 
Infosys and Alstom have been working together in areas of global research and development (R&amp;D), engineering and engineering IT services for developing solutions for the power sector. 
 
"The establishment of centers in Croatia and Russia enables us to tap into a rich pool of engineering talent and bring this to the industrial and manufacturing companies that we work with around the world," Infosys President and Global Head Manufacturing, Retail, CPG and Logistics Sandeep Dadlani said.

<keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> is going to give fat packages to their four presidents. The compensation of the four presidents has crossed $1 million, in fixed and variable pay. 
 
Infosys is aligning its pay packages with the performances and appointed its four presidents and chief compliance officer as key management personnel. 
 
The IT giant said it was looking to create close to 50-50 ratio of fixed to variable pay to closely align its top executives salaries with the company's performance. 
 
Presidents Mohit Joshi, Ravi Kumar S and Sandeep Dadlani will take home $625,000 in fixed pay and an additional $500,000 in variable pay. 
 
They will also receive 52,350 restricted stock units and 112,750 employee stock options. 
 
Meanwhile, the fourth president Rajesh Murthy will receive $540,000 in fixed pay and an additional $450,000 in variable pay. Murthy will receive 45,000 restricted stock units and 96,900 employee stock options. 
 
In a bid to align its structure and give greater client satisfaction, Infosys split its businesses into 15 smaller units. The presidents will take on broader corporate responsibilities. 
 
Apart from the presidents, Infosys’ Chief financial officer MD Ranganath will get Rs 2 crore in fixed pay and an additional Rs 2 crore in variable pay. Group ' human resources head Krishnamurthy Shankar will earn Rs 2.34 crore in fixed pay and Rs 1.86 crore in variable pay.

Infosys’ presidents enter the million-dollar club. These are their salaries now

Indian IT firm <keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> just revised the pay structure of its key executives and the salaries of the top leadership is bound to take a hit. 
 After the revision, <keyword id="3747292" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Infosys-COO-Pravin-Rao">Infosys COO Pravin Rao</keyword>'s take-home pay could hit Rs 8 crore and even Chief Financial Officer M D Ranganath’s salary will be hit. 
 
"The Board of Directors have approved the revised annual compensation of Pravin Rao...with effect from November 1, 2016, subject to the approval of the shareholders. The compensation includes fixed compensation of Rs 4.62 crore per annum and a variable compensation of up to Rs 3.88 crore per annum," Infosys said. 
 
Additionally, based on fiscal 2016 performance, Rao will get 27,250 restricted stock units (RSU) and 43,000 stock options, vested over a period of four years. 
 
Infosys stated the revised aggregate compensation of Mohit Joshi (Head of the Financial Services), Sandeep Dadlani (Head of Americas), Rajesh K Murthy (Head of Europe), Ravikumar S (Chief Delivery Officer), David Kennedy (Chief Compliance Officer), Krishnamurthy Shankar (Group Head of Human Resource Development) and Manikantha AGS (Company Secretary) includes fixed compensation of Rs 24 crore and variable compensation of up to Rs 20 crore. 
 
Meanwhile, Infosys inducted founder and CEO of Surya Software Systems D N Prahlad as an independent director on its Board. 
 
Infosys Chairman R Seshasayee said, "We are delighted to welcome Prahlad, a distinguished technologist to the Board. Prahlad brings with him, not only his deep knowledge of the company, but also sharp insights into the industry.”

This compensation revision has coincided with his tenure being extended by another two years up to 2021. 
 
However, this extension was not agreed upon by some of the promoters, who withdrew from voting on this resolution, while also arguing that his new remuneration was way against the company's long held beliefs. 
 
Sikka has also changed the company's senior leadership compensation, elevating three executive vice presidents (EVPs), Sandeep Dadlani, head of Americas, Ravi Kumar, chief delivery officer and Mohit Joshi, head of financial services, as presidents. As per ET sources, the salaries of these new presidents would touch a new high of nearly $2 million including stocks and long-term incentives.

The report found that companies across the globe are counting on adopting AI to radically boost their revenue and streamlining their organisation's structure. Meanwhile, in just three years' time, 39% of those "currently or planning to use AI technology" believe that their group's revenue will be boosted.However, the biggest topic of concern that crops up is what happens to those who lose their job for more automated work.The World Economic Forum said in a 2016 report entitled "<a href="http://www.weforum.org/reports/the-future-of-jobs">The Future of Jobs</a>" that 7.1 million jobs could be lost through redundancy, automation, or disintermediation by 2020. While the creation of 2.1 million new jobs - mainly in more specialised areas such as computing, math, architecture, and engineering - could offset some of the losses, that's still a net reduction of 5 million.This year, WEF said in its benchmark <a href="http://uk.businessinsider.com/wef-global-risks-report-2017-not-brexit-populism-but-unemployment-energy-prices-2017-1">"Global Risks" report for 2017 that the biggest risk for doing business globally is unemployment or underemployment - mainly due to increased automation.</a>But according to Infosys's report, it looks like many businesses are pledging - at least for now - to help retrain existing workers.Here are the key responses from the report:<ul><li>76% cite AI as fundamental to the success of their organisation's strategy.</li><li>64% believe that their organisation's future growth is dependent on large-scale AI adoption.</li><li>62% believe that "stringent ethical standards are needed to ensure the success of AI - most respondents seem optimistic about redeploying displaced employees with higher value work."</li><li>85% "plan to train employees about the benefits and use of AI."</li><li>80% of companies that are already planning to replace human jobs with robots "will retrain or redeploy displaced employees."</li></ul>"AI adoption is on the rise and we are excited to see the investments in AI that businesses are gradually making to derive meaningful and creative change. Most of the world's largest companies promise to retrain staff even if robots replace jobs

In our daily life we can see how computer technology is reshaping the world. And with an aim to make quality computer science education widely available, India’s second largest IT consulting company <keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> will expand its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in the US. These activities will be carried out by <keyword id="86463" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="INfosys-Foundation">Infosys Foundation</keyword> located in the US, which is the philanthropic arm of Infosys. As per a statement issued by the company, the initial outlay for Infosys Foundation would be $5 million (over Rs 31.6 crore) per annum. The Bengaluru-headquartered company has appointed <keyword id="6355854" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Sudha-Murty">Sudha Murty</keyword>, <keyword id="2664286" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Vandana-Sikka">Vandana Sikka</keyword> and Sandeep Dadlani as the trustees of this arm. 

	Talking about the CSR activities, Murty, who is also the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, said, "Infosys Foundation has always supported the cause of promoting quality education and empowering individuals. I am confident that we will leverage Infosys Foundation's experience in India of imparting technical education to enhance employability." 
 

	In India, Infosys Foundation supports several programmes aimed at alleviating hunger, promoting education, improving health, assisting rural development, supporting arts and helping the destitute. For the fiscal year 2015, Infosys Foundation plans to deploy about $40 million towards these initiatives in the country, the company said in a press release.
 

	Vandana Sikka, who is the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, the USA, said, "We want to ensure that lack of resources, prior skills and STEM proficiency are no longer barriers for individuals, in the Americas, seeking to advance their computing skills."

Infosys Expands Its CSR Activities In The US

Finally, relief arrives for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=tcs">Infosys</a>. Allegedly charged with visa violation by the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/The-US-government-just-reminded-companies-like-Uber-why-they-could-be-in-serious-trouble/articleshow/48091368.cms">US department of labour</a>, Infosys claims, things are sorted at their end now. The Bengaluru headquartered software firm claimed that it has been cleared of charges by the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=usa">US government</a>, months after an investigation began involving utility firm Southern California Edison and Indian software exporters TCS and Infosys regarding outsourcing contract. 
 
India's second largest outsourcing said that the US department of labor had concluded its investigation into labour condition applications filed in the Southern California Edison outsourcing contract and found no visa violations, after reviewing over 145 files. 
 
"<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=infosys">Infosys continues to actively</a> recruit and hire talent in the U.S., but while there is a shortage of technology skills, Infosys is a responsible participant in the H-1B program. We do not practice or condone unfair or unethical H-1B visa practices. Our key priority is to operate fairly, ethically and with integrity, which is good business and what our clients expect." Sandeep Dadlani, EVP and Head of Americas at Infosys said in the statement. 
 
The chain of incidents began when Southern California Edison had laid off about 500 workers, beginning August last year. H-1B visa holders from TCS and Infosys have replaced the sacked employees. The move made the US government to investigate whether <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=tcs">TCS</a> and Infosys had violated any labour laws -- a charge that both companies had vehemently denied in June. 
 
With elections down the line and politics being sensed on the incident, it gradually popped up as a heated debate.
