As compared to the fourth generation foldables, the South Korean giant received 1.7 times more pre-bookings for Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. 'Make in India' Galaxy Z Flip5, Z Fold5 now available in India

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal will pass its order on May 22 on petitions filed by three aircraft lessors against <keyword id="11252024" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Go-First" source="Orion">Go First</keyword>'s voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings. A two-member bench headed by Chairperson Justice Ashok Bhushan on Monday reserved its order after completing the hearing on the the three petitions. The appellate tribunal was hearing a batch of petitions filed by SMBC Aviation Capital Ltd, GY Aviation and <keyword id="17413255" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sfv-aircraft-holdings" source="Orion">SFV Aircraft Holdings</keyword>. All three lessors have leased out around 21 aircraft to Go First. So far this month, several lessors have approached aviation regulator DGCA for deregistration and repossession of Go First's 45 planes. Go First stopped flying from May 3. Last week the Delhi-based principal bench of the NCLT appointed an interim resolution professional to look after the affairs of Go First and also suspended its board as part of the insolvency resolution process. "Over the last few weeks, we have done a lot of thinking and it has been hard for us to arrive at this conclusion. We have immense belief and faith in the potential that ZestMoney has," the founders wrote. "We will also ensure to provide full support to the incoming management team and do everything we can to support them for the next 4 months to ensure a smooth transition," they added. Chapman said that she and other founders remain shareholders in ZestMoney. The founder's decision came after a potential deal to acquire ZestMoney by leading fintech company PhonePe fell through recently. <ul><li>The government is reportedly looking to revamp the FAME-II scheme for <keyword id="3064658" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="electric-two-wheelers" source="Orion">electric two wheelers</keyword>.</li><li>The government is expected to slash the cap of subsidy on electric two wheelers from the existing 40% of the ex-factory price to 15%.</li><li>The move is aimed at providing the subsidy to a larger number of vehicles.</li></ul> The Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme was introduced by the government to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in the country by subsidising the cost of vehicles. According to a<a href="https://auto.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/two-wheelers/e-scooters-may-get-pricier-on-proposed-subsidy-cut/100315879"> report</a> by Economic Times, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has recommended the government to slash the cap of subsidy on electric two wheelers from the present 40% to 15% of the ex-factory price. This, the officials said, will help to spread the incentive to a larger number of vehicles. In addition to this, part of the subsidy allocation for three-wheelers which hasn’t been used will also be utilised for two-wheelers. “If we continue per unit subsidy at present levels, the allocation for electric two-wheelers will be exhausted in the next two months, despite raising the earmarked amount,” an official told ET. With the addition of ₹1,000 crore of unutilized funds from three-wheelers, the allocation for electric two-wheelers under the FAME-II scheme will be increased to ₹3,500 crore. Electric two wheelers may get costlier as government looks to revamp the FAME-II scheme

The <keyword id="6355630" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="securities-and-exchange-board-of-india" source="Orion">Securities and Exchange Board of India</keyword> apprised the <keyword id="6354977" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="supreme-court" source="Orion">Supreme Court</keyword> on Monday that the market regulator is already investigating AdGroup companies since 2016 is factually baseless. SEBI has filed a rejoinder affidavit in response to a petition relating to <keyword id="191733" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="hindenburg" source="Orion">Hindenburg</keyword> Research's report on the <keyword id="6367820" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="adani-group" source="Orion">Adani Group</keyword>. SEBI had sought an extension to conclude the investigation in the report by US short-seller Hindenburg Research by a period of six months. The top court on Friday orally remarked that they will extend the time for the probe to SEBI, but not for six months and they can extend the time for the probe by three months. Petitioners had alleged that SEBI was probing the <keyword id="76451" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="adani" source="Orion">Adani</keyword> Group since 2016. SEBI told the SC that the investigation done earlier by SEBI pertains to the issuance of Global Depository Receipts ("GDRs") by 51 Indian listed companies, in respect of which investigation was conducted. SEBI submitted before the Supreme Court that no listed company of Adani Group was part of those 51 companies it was investigating. "Pursuant to the completion of the investigation, appropriate enforcement actions were taken in this matter. Hence, the allegation that the Securities and Exchange Board of India ("SEBI") is investigating Adani since 2016 is factually baseless. I, therefore, say and submit that reliance sought to be placed on the investigation pertaining to GDRs is wholly misplaced," SEBI said in a rejoinder affidavit. SEBI submitted before Supreme Court that in the context of an investigation into Minimum Public Shareholding ("MPS") norms, SEBI has already approached eleven overseas Regulators under the Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with the International Organization of Securities Commissions ("IOSCO"). Various requests for information were made to these Regulators. The first request to overseas Regulators was made as early as October 6, 2020, and SEBI apprised the court. SEBI submitted before the Supreme Court that the application for extension of time filed by SEBI is meant to ensure carriage of justice keeping in mind the interest of investors and the securities market since any incorrect or premature conclusion of the case arrived at without full facts material on record would not serve the ends of justice and hence would be legally untenable. SEBI has informed Supreme Court that in respect of the investigation and examination relating to 12 transactions referred to in the Hindenburg Report, prima facie it is noted that these transactions are highly complex and have many sub-transactions across numerous jurisdictions and a rigorous investigation of these transactions would require collation of data/information from various sources including bank statements from multiple domestic as well as international banks, financial statements of onshore and offshore entities involved in the transactions and contracts and agreements, if any, entered between the entities along with other supporting documents. On March 2, the apex court directed the capital market regulator SEBI to investigate any violations of securities law by the Adani Group in the wake of the Hindenburg report, which led to a massive wipeout of more than USD140 billion of the Adani Group's market value. Supreme Court, on March 2, set up an expert committee on the issue arising from the Hindenburg Research report on Adani Group companies. The committee will consist of six members, headed by former apex court judge Justice AM Sapre. The top court had then asked SEBI to file a status report within two months. The apex court was then hearing petitions pertaining to the Hindenburg report, including on the constitution of a committee relating to regulatory mechanisms to protect investors' interests. The January 24 Hindenburg report alleged stock manipulation and fraud by the conglomerate. The Adani Group has attacked Hindenburg as "an unethical short seller", stating that the report by the New York-based entity was "nothing but a lie". SEBI investigating Adani since 2016 is factually baseless, regulator tells SC

<ul><li>Analysts are bullish on <keyword id="42747" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="tata-motors" source="Orion">Tata Motors</keyword> thanks to robust performance by the car maker’s British subsidiary, Jaguar Land Rover.</li><li><keyword id="45218" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jlr" source="Orion">JLR</keyword> expects its wholesale volumes to rise 25% in FY24, and its debt to reduce to £2 billion from the existing £3 billion.</li><li>Tata Motors’ domestic businesses also delivered margin expansion, with its net debt falling to ₹6,200 crore in FY23, the lowest in 15 years.</li><li>Robust performance across segments also helped the company declare its first dividend since FY16.</li></ul>Tata Motors is driving in top gear, thanks to a strong performance by its British subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) alongside robust execution across segments in its domestic business. It topped street estimates with a <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/auto/news/tata-motors-posts-net-profit-of-5408-crore-in-q4-beats-estimates/articleshow/100189259.cms">consolidated net profit of ₹5,408 crore in Q4</a> and analysts expect the momentum to continue in the new financial year aided by multiple tailwinds. Tata Motors’ robust numbers in the March quarter were aided by JLR’s performance – the UK-based luxury car maker posted free cash flow of £815 million during the quarter. JLR accounts for 80% of Tata Motors’ consolidated revenue, so its strong performance has a large impact on Tata Motors’ performance. In addition, Tata Motors’ domestic business also delivered an improvement in margins across segments, helping the company post its highest-ever consolidated revenue of ₹1.06 lakh crore in Q4, registering a growth of 35% on year. “Tata Motors executed a strong show across key verticals in Q4 FY23 with commercial vehicles earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) margins crossing the 10% mark after 4 years and JLR delivering a strong £815 million free cash flow,” said the analysts at Motilal Oswal. Tata Motors declared a dividend of ₹2 per ordinary share, its first since FY16. The Indian business’ net debt stood at ₹6,200 crore in FY23, which is the lowest in 15 years. The street also celebrated its earnings as its shares rose by 4% hitting a fresh 52-week high of ₹537 a piece before closing at ₹531. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="The JLR boost" comment="subhead" text="The JLR boost">The JLR boost</cmsannotation> Analysts expect Tata Motors to gain more momentum going forward, thanks to JLR’s healthy order book, softening commodity prices and sustained free cash flow generation. JLR’s volumes surged to 1.07 lakh units in Q4, rising by 20%. In a post-earnings call, the luxury car maker said that its current order book stands at 2 lakh units, and that the overall demand outlook remains healthy. Of this, 1.5 lakh orders are for high-margin cars like the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender. The company has planned a ramp up of capacities during FY24, with capital expenditure budgeted at £3 billion, up from £2.35 billion in FY23. Overall, JLR is targeting volumes of 4 lakh units in FY24 which is a growth of 25% when compared to FY23’s volumes of 3.21 lakh units. Thanks to improving margins and volumes, JLR is aiming to reduce its debt to £2 billion from £3 billion during FY24, with a target of becoming net debt free in FY25. Not just this, JLR is also the dominant industry player in the electric passenger vehicle space in its home market, UK, with a market share of over 80%. “Demonstrated capability in newer technologies in the commercial vehicle space and pricing discipline across industry to aid aspiration of double-digit margins ahead,” said analysts at ICICI Direct. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Margins expand in domestic businesses too" comment="subhead" text="Margins expand in domestic businesses too">Margins expand in domestic businesses too</cmsannotation> Tata Motors’ commercial and passenger vehicle segments witnessed margin expansion in the March quarter – while the commercial vehicle segment delivered a 420 basis point margin expansion YoY to 10.1%, the passenger vehicle segment reported a 40 basis point increase to 7.3% in this period. Going forward, the company expects to touch double-digit margins and a sustained free cash flow generation. “Tata Motors should witness a healthy recovery as supply-side issues ease (for JLR) and commodity headwinds stabilise (for the India business),” said the analysts at Motilal Oswal. <cmsannotation type="cmsannotation" annotationid="Analysts bullish" comment="subhead" text="Analysts bullish">Analysts bullish</cmsannotation> Analysts are broadly bullish about Tata Motors’ growth prospects in FY24, thanks to lower input costs and JLR’s focus on capacity expansion as well as investments in the electric vehicle (EV) space. “Firmer commitment towards EV by JLR with an accelerated investment plan of £15 billion spend over the next five years will be one of the key triggers for future price performance,” ICICI Direct said. The brokerage added that it expects the company’s revenue to grow at a 20.1% compounded annual growth rate over FY23-25. “It will benefit from the commercial vehicle upcycle and stable growth in passenger vehicles, company-specific volume/margin drivers, and a sharp improvement in free cash flow as well as reduction in net debt in both JLR and the India businesses,” the Motilal Oswal report said, explaining its bullish outlook.
