<keyword id="803562" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Paramjit-Singh-Pamma">Paramjit Singh Pamma</keyword>, a 44-year-old man who had been participating in all sorts of protests to protect the interest of a comman man, has been dubbed as the ‘<keyword id="2936449" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="most-outraged-man-of-India">most outraged man of India</keyword>’ on social media. 

	Be it the rising fuel or food prices, pressure of high cut-off, obscenity on TV channels, issue of reservation or terrorism, ban on turban in France, Shootout in Wisconsin Temple in the US, Paramjit Pamma keep following the news and is always ready to shout his heart out for almost any cause.
 Pamma became a fierce protestor at the age of 16. He told <keyword id="107218" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="BBC-News">BBC news</keyword> that his father introduced him to the world of protests. In 1997, he launched the <keyword id="2935876" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Akali-Dal">National Akali Dal</keyword> group to "raise a voice on behalf of the ordinary citizen" which "highlights the wrongdoings of all political parties". This "omnipresent Sikh rage guy," who runs a small tailoring accessories shop in <keyword id="6371428" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sadar-Bazar">Sadar Bazar</keyword>, which is one of the oldest markets in Delhi, has hogged limelight ever since he was regarded as the “most outraged man in the history of mankind” by <keyword id="964722" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="BuzzFeed">BuzzFeed</keyword>. 

	Pamma’s wife Simran tries to calm him down at home with medicines and by providing him a controlled diet. She said, "He has already had two heart surgeries. His BP is high.”
 She further added that, "He says even if the issue does not concern us, it might affect our kids tomorrow." The couple have two daughters and a son - nine-year-old <keyword id="2936448" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jasnehar">Jasnehar</keyword>, eight-year-old Tejus and Chandpreet who is 7. Pamma, who idolizes <keyword id="52406" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bhagat-Singh">Bhagat Singh</keyword>, have also taken inspiration from Welsh poet <keyword id="257053" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dylan-Thomas">Dylan Thomas</keyword> as he keeps on urging, "rage, rage against the dying of the light; do not go gentle into that good night". This ‘outraged man of India’ is a ‘protesting machine’

New Delhi, Three-fourth of the new Delhi MLAs are millionaires, one-third have not studied beyond senior secondary and more than half have criminal cases against them, according to the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR). According to ADR, 45 Aam <keyword id="1488996" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Aadmi-Party">Aadmi Party</keyword> (AAP) legislators of the 62, and seven of the eight <keyword id="58687" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bharatiya-Janata-Party">Bharatiya Janata Party</keyword> (BJP) MLAs had declared more than Rs 1 crore assets while filing their nomination papers. There were 44 millionaire MLAs in 2015. The average of assets per MLA in the new Delhi Assembly is Rs 14.29 crore, which is more than double the average of Rs 6.29 crore in 2015. Of the AAP legislators, the average assets per MLA is Rs 14.96 crore and in case of the BJP it's Rs 9.10 crore. The richest AAP legislators as per their election affidavit are Dharampal Lakra (Mundka), followed by Promila Tokas (R.K. Puram) and <keyword id="8770122" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="raaj-kumar-anand">Raaj Kumar Anand</keyword> (Patel Nagar). <keyword id="1955618" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rakhi-Birla">Rakhi Birla</keyword> (Mangolpuri) is the poorest AAP legislator with Rs 76,000 assets, followed by Sanjeev Jha (Burari) at Rs 10 lakh and Som Dutt (Sadar Bazar) at Rs 11 lakh. There has been a sharp jump in the number of MLAs with registered criminal cases. In 2020, 43 MLAs declared criminal cases against them while in 2015, 24 MLAs had criminal cases. The number of MLAs with serious criminal cases, which included rape, attempt to murder and crimes against women, is 37. In terms of education, 23 MLAs are between 8th pass and 12th pass, 42 graduates and above, and five diploma holders. While 39 MLAs are aged between 25 years and 50 years, 31 are in the 51-80 years age group. Of the 70 MLAs, eight are women against six in 2015. The <keyword id="1077342" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Delhi-election">Delhi Election</keyword> Watch and the ADR analysed the affidavits of all 70 newly elected MLAs.

In this area it is difficult to manage cases with home isolation or quarantine due to the crowded living conditions," said Debashish Chakraborty Debu, coordinator of the HOPE Field Hospital isolation center.The refugees are entirely reliant upon aid for their day-to-day survival. And living conditions are dire. Homes are cramped and often built from flimsy materials while toilets and washing facilities are shared."This house is 18 feet by 12, with 10 of us in this tiny place. We're having a really hard time," said Mohammed Osman, a Rohingya refugee, sitting alongside his wife and children.A <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-41566561#:~:text=In%20August%202017%2C%20a%20deadly,textbook%20example%20of%20ethnic%20cleansing%22.">crackdown by the Myanmar military</a> in August 2017 on the minority Rohingya Muslim population triggered one of the largest movements of people in recent history.The Myanmar government claims the attacks were targeted at militants. Over 700,000 <a href="https://www.worldvision.org/refugees-news-stories/rohingya-refugees-bangladesh-facts">fled into neighboring Bangladesh</a> in the months that followed, having lost everything."We came because the Myanmar people burned our homes and shot us," refugee Majuma Khatun, told <keyword id="9054837" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="business-insider-today">Business Insider Today</keyword>. "So to save our lives we went to the mountains. We walked through the mountains all night. Then we crossed the river by boat, that's how we came to Bangladesh."With the refugees away from their homes and traumatized by what the UN refers to as a <a href="https://news.un.org/en/story/2018/03/1004232">campaign of "ethnic cleansing,"</a> the coronavirus is only making an already dire situation worse."With monsoon, with soil erosion, with flooding, it's a very very difficult environment to be in," said Louise Donovan, Communications Officer for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. "The camps are hugely overpopulated. You have more than 40,000 people living per square kilometer. And with the risk of transmission of COVID-19, it just makes life so very difficult for this population."The <a href="https://www.wfp.org/">World Food Programme</a> provides food for every refugee in the camps, but lockdown restrictions mean the group has to restrict the number of times people can visit their distribution points."Just the idea of social distancing is almost impossible to imagine," said Alex Dattani, a Field Operations Consultant for the World Food Programme. "The refugees are scared, they're frightened, they're afraid."<div type="image" title="BIT_MMDD_Episode_V1.00_01_45_05.Still009" height="1080" width="1920" msid="77117512" hostid="261"></div>With Bangladesh hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was only a matter of time before the Rohingya camps succumbed too.The <a href="https://www.unhcr.org/uk/news/briefing/2020/5/5ebe42044/public-health-response-rohingya-refugee-settlements-alert-first-coronavirus.html">first case was detected</a> on May 14, with the first death coming at the end of the month. As of July 12, there were 57 confirmed cases within the refugee camps and five deaths, <a href="https://www.who.int/bangladesh/emergencies/Rohingyacrisis/situation-report---rohingya-crisis">according to World Health Organisation figures</a>."First, I wash my hands with soap," Jahura Khatun, a Rohingya refugee, told Business Insider Today. "Then ensure good hygiene for the children. We give masks to the children. We are all wearing masks, not socializing with neighbors. We are staying at home."UN and other humanitarian agencies have scrambled to construct new centers for diagnosing, isolating, and treating patients with COVID-19. And now, with the monsoon season underway, they are also working to counter the threat of landslides and other water-born illnesses.The HOPE Foundation for Bangladesh opened a 50-bed Isolation and Treatment Center for COVID-19 patients at the end of June."Here in the new unit we are treating patients with symptoms of fever, runny nose, sore throat, which in medical terms is called flu like illness," said Debu, the center's coordinator. "We are keeping them separate from our main hospital to prevent spread of infection."<div type="image" title="BIT_MMDD_Episode_V1.00_05_38_09.Still010" height="1080" width="1920" msid="77117514" hostid="261"></div>The region's first intensive care unit also opened at the end of June in Sadar Hospital in Cox's Bazar — with ten ICU beds with ventilators and eight high-dependency unit beds. In all, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees is aiming to create 1,900 beds for coronavirus patients.But just when help is most needed, 80% of NGO staff are being barred from entering the camps to reduce the risk of transmission."This means that a number of services have been reduced and we're down to bare life-saving activities. So it's extremely tough but we're doing all that we possibly can," Dattani said. Much of the tracking and tracing work, as well as community outreach, is now down to Rohingya volunteers. With a government-imposed internet blackout, this must be done door-to-door, with loud hailers or over the radio."These teams are doing contact tracing, ensuring that any close family members or close contacts are quarantined immediately and also tested," said <keyword id="6403549" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="unhcr">UNHCR</keyword>'s Donovan."So we're doing what we can to try to reduce the risk of further transmission. It's possible with the population density that it can spread rapidly, and potentially it could overwhelm the response capacity that we currently have in place."The Rohingya can see no end in sight to their suffering. Thankfully, cases of COVID-19 are so far relatively low compared to the wider region.Moyuna Begum is a refugee and is keen to help out where she can, and has received training from the World Food Programme in how to make face masks."Everyone is afraid. People are thinking that it was outside, but now it has attacked us. People are dying and suffering from the illness," she said. "To help them avoid that situation, I am happy to make these. No matter if I am paid or not, people will be alive and will keep me in their prayers."
