PhonePe's latest campaign with Aamir Khan aims to bust myths about buying gold online before the festive season

The Pune Lok Sabha constituency comprises of six Vidhan Sabha seats including Vadgaon Sheri, Shivajinagar, Kothrud, Parvati, Pune Cantonment, and Kasba Peth. Among them, Pune Cantonment is reserved for SC candidates and the rest are general seats. For the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP is fielding Chandrakant Dada Patil from the Kothrud seat. Sau Mukta Tilak of BJP will face the elections from the Kasba Peth. BJP candidate for Parvati is Madhuri Misal. Ramesh Anandrao Bagawe of INC will take on Sunil Kamble of BJP in the Pune Cantonment seat. From the Shivajinagar seat, INC s Dattatrey Ranganath Bahirat is fighting with Sidharth Padmakar Shirole of BJP. Jagdish Mulik will face the elections for BJP from the Vadgaon Sheri seat. The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha elections will happen on October 21, 2019 and the votes will be counted on October 24, 2019. The Pune constituency MP in the Lok Sabha is Anil Shirole of BJP. He won in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with a margin of 315,769 votes than the runner-up candidate of INC Dr.Vishwajeet Patangrao Kadam. During the 2014 general elections for the Maharashtra assembly, Vadgaon Sheri chose Jagdish Tukaram Muluk of BJP as their MLA by giving him 5325 more votes than Tingare Sunil Vijay of SHS. From the Shivajinagar seat, Vijay Kale of BJP scored 22047 more votes than Nimhan Vinayak Mahadev of INC and became the MP. From the Kothrud seat, Kulkarni Medha Vishram of BJP secured 64662 votes more than the runner up candidate of SHS Chandrakant Balbhim Mokate and won the seat. The Parvati constituency winner was Misal Madhuri Satish of BJP who got 69090 votes more than the SHS candidate Taware Sachin (Anna) Sham. The winner from the Pune Cantonment was BJP’s Dilip Kamble and he got 14955 votes more than the INC candidate Bagave Ramesh Anandrao. From the Kasba Peth constituency, Bapat Girish Bhalchandra of BJP won the INC candidate Dr.Rohit Deepak Tilak with a margin of 42272 votes.

<ul><li><keyword id="1707886" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dhiraj-Deshmukh">Dhiraj Deshmukh</keyword> and <keyword id="61771" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Amit-Deshmukh">Amit Deshmukh</keyword>, sons of former chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, are contesting the <keyword id="2472094" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra-assembly-election">Maharashtra Assembly election</keyword>.</li><li>Amit is contesting from urban Latur and Dhiraj is contesting from rural Latur.</li><li>According to the Election Commission, Dhiraj is leading with over 75,000 votes to his name and Amit is leading with 44,000 votes. Latur is a Deshmukh stronghold.</li></ul>Dhiraj Deshmukh — youngest son of the former chief minister, the late Vilasrao Deshmukh— is contesting in the Maharashtra Assembly election for the very first time from the rural seat in Latur. Dhiraj has over 1 lakh votes to his name accounting for 67.57% of the vote share. He's currently poised to win by a margin of 1,21,482 votes. His elder brother, Amit Deshmukh, has won that seat for the Indian National Congress (INC) in 2009 and 2014. But, this time around, Amit will be contesting for the Latur’s urban seat — where the INC has also won the past two Assembly elections. Amit has 1,10,443 votes, which makes up for 52.48% vote share.  Dhiraj Deshmukh in rural Latur In rural Latur, Dhiraj is going up against Shiv Sena’s Sachin Deshmukh — no relation — Bharatiya Samaj Party’s (BSP) Khanderao Bhojraj, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s (MNS) Arjun Waghamare and 12 other candidates. The election may turn in his favour since BJP workers and voters are unhappy with the fact that the party decided to field a Shiv Sena candidate for the seat without giving a reason for doing so. Amit Deshmukh in urban Latur In Latur city, Amit is facing off against BJP’s Shailesh Lohoti, BSP’s Kamble Sambhaji and 17 other candidates. Amit who is more established than Dhiraj, has stepped out of the shadows of his father and carved a niche for himself. And he almost has a clean record. In 2017 however Amit was accused of ‘corrupt practices’ during the elections. This was later dismissed by the Supreme Court.
