On May 4, The <keyword id="82275" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Board-of-Control-for-Cricket">Board of Control for Cricket</keyword> in <keyword id="3658" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> (BCCI) called off the Indian Premier League (<keyword id="6354312" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPL">IPL</keyword> ) 2021, after 29 of the total 56 games, indefinitely as several players and support staff tested positive for COVID-19.<br /><br />In a Special General Meeting (SGM) held virtually on May 29, the governing body for cricket in India decided to hold the remaining matches of the IPL in the United Arab Emirates (<keyword id="6358356" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="uae">UAE</keyword>) between September and October 2021.<br /><br />While the exact dates haven't been announced, reports speculate that the tournament will start on the weekend of September 18-19 and end by October 10. <br /><br />In addition to the remaining IPL, the members also agreed to keep UAE as a backup venue, which was to be held in India, for the T20 World Cup later this year.<br /><br />IPL is one of the biggest cricket tournaments anywhere in the world and therefore a lot of money is riding on it. <p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Courtesy of Dynetics</span></p><p class="caption">A Dynetics Small Glide Munition - GBU-69/B</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><ul><li><strong>US Special Operations Command signed a contract with Alabama-based <keyword id="6354810" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Defense">defense</keyword> contractor Dynetics for supply of over 1,000 Small Glide Munitions over four years.</strong></li><li><strong>The SGM is a small precision guided standoff missile, meaning it can be launched outside its intended target area and glide all the way to until impact. </strong></li><li><strong>The missile is intended to be attached to UAVs and AC-130 gunships, and is a smaller but more destructive and capable alternative to the AGM-114 Hellfire</strong><br /></li></ul><p>US Special Operations Command plans to award a <span>sole-source contract to Dynetics Inc. for additional GBU-69B Small Glide Munitions, <a href="http://www.janes.com/article/78677/ussocom-boosts-gbu-69-b-sgm-stocks">IHS Janes reports</a>.</span></p><p><span>The deal, which will supposedly be signed in July, will see Dynetics provide USSOCOM with the missiles, known as SGMs, until 2022. USSOCOM will buy 700 SGMs in the first two years, then 900 in 2020, and then 1,000 for the remaining two years, according to IHS Janes.</span></p><p><span> Dynetics' <a href="https://www.dynetics.com/_files/strike-systems/Dynetics%20SGM.pdf">SGM is a small standoff missile</a>. At just 42 inches long, it is smaller than the Hellfire, but packed with 16 more pounds of explosives. As a standoff missile, its range is also superior to the Hellfire.</span></p><p><span>Standoff missiles, particularly the SGM, essentially act as small precision cruise missiles and glide bombs, and are often compared to short-range ballistic missiles.</span></p><p><span>The lattice control fins at the end of the missile are similar to the GBU 43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast, and the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordinance Penetrator, both of which have control fins designed by Dynetics.</span></p><p><span>Dynetics has attached the SGM's seeker nose section, tail kit, and wing assembly directly to the warhead case, making the system adaptable to different warheads and able to carry different systems. Un</span>like the Hellfire, the SGM can be detonated on impact or in the air while it is in close proximity to its target.</p><p><span>The SGM is specifically intended to be attached to UAVs and AC-130 gunships. Its longer range will enable pilots to strike at targets on the horizon, meaning the aircraft will no longer have to be directly over, or in close proximity to whatever it is striking.</span></p><p><span>This allows the delivery aircraft to be outside any defenses that may be used against it, like man-portable air-defense systems. For example, SGMs could enable the US to strike Taliban camps in Pakistan without crossing into its airspace.</span></p><p><span>Dynetics was <a href="http://www.janes.com/article/71985/dynetics-receives-new-small-glide-munition-contract">awarded</a> a contract by the Air Force last June for 70 SGMs to be delivered over a 12-month period for use by USSOCOM. <p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Martin Shkreli has been subpoenaed to appear before congress, a Democratic staffer told Business Insider.&#xa0;<br><br>The hedge-fund manager turned pharma executive became a household name in September after his company, Turing Pharmaceuticals, raised the price&#xa0;of&#xa0;a&#xa0;critical&#xa0;antiparasitic drug by&#xa0;<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/a-62-year-old-drug-just-rose-in-price-by-5455-and-its-getting-hillary-clintons-attention-2015-9">5,000% </a>. <br><br>The increase&#xa0;prompted&#xa0;public anger and drew regulatory scrutiny to the issue of drug pricing. Executives at large drugmakers, which also routinely enact large price increases for established products (though not as large as Turing did), <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/big-pharma-ceos-distance-themselves-from-turings-martin-shkreli-2015-12">were quick to distance themselves</a> from Shkreli.&#xa0;<p>He responded to the subpoena on Twitter, seemingly mulling over the choice to attend the hearing held next Tuesday by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. He later tweeted out a picture of his letter.</p><p class="embed-spacer">The subpoena is the only one related to this hearing, according to Bloomberg News, which was first to report the details.&#xa0;The committee has also sent letters to the current CEOs of Shkreli's former company Turing and Valeant Pharmaceuticals.</p><p class="embed-spacer"><span>"I have been trying for the better part of a year to get information from Martin Shkreli about his outrageous price increases, and he has obstructed our investigation at every turn,"&#xa0;<span>Rep.
