The family of an <keyword id="20246468" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Agniveer" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Agniveer" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Agniveer">Agniveer</keyword> from <keyword id="19897316" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maharashtra" source="keywords">Maharashtra</keyword> who died in the line of duty last year has said they have received an assistance of <keyword id="22254620" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rs-1-08-crore" source="keywords">Rs 1.08 crore</keyword> from the <keyword id="19900449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="government" source="keywords">government</keyword>. The family's statement came after <keyword id="19953821" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Defence-Minister" source="keywords">Defence Minister</keyword> <keyword id="19911645" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rajnath-Singh" source="keywords">Rajnath Singh</keyword> on Monday said an Agniveer who lays down his life in the line of duty gets a compensation of Rs 1 crore. Singh was speaking after Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha <keyword id="19895780" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rahul-Gandhi" source="keywords">Rahul Gandhi</keyword>, while referring to the Agnipath military recruitment scheme, claimed the government regards Agniveers as "use-and-throw labourers" and does not even give them the status of a "shaheed (martyr)". Agniveer <keyword id="22254636" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="akshay-gawate" source="keywords">Akshay Gawate</keyword>, native of Pimpalgaon Sarai in Maharashtra's Buldhana district, died in the line of duty in Siachen on October 21, 2023. Speaking to reporters here on Monday evening, his father Lakshman Gawate said that after Akshay Gawate's death, the family got "Rs 48 lakh as his insurance cover, Rs 50 lakh from the central government and Rs 10 lakh from the state government." He also demanded a government job for Akshay's sister. He was reply to a question by reporters on the compensation received after his son's death. The Agnipath scheme, announced on June 14, 2022, provides for the recruitment of youths between the age bracket of 17-and-half years and 21 for only four years, with a provision to retain 25 per cent of them for 15 more years. The government extended the upper age limit to 23 years later that year.

We got Rs 1.08 cr aide from govt: family of deceased Agniveer

New Delhi, Nov 16 () Central GST Delhi-West Commissionerate has busted a racket involved in issuance of fake invoices and defrauding the exchequer to the tune of Rs 108 crore, an official release said on Saturday. 
 The fake invoices without actual supply of goods and services were allegedly being issued by Royal Sales India and 27 other dummy companies.
 Two persons have been arrested in connection with the case and remanded to 14 days judicial custody by a local court. The release said the accused were found to be operating 28 fake companies to facilitate fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC), thus defrauding the exchequer. 
 "Prima facie, fraudulent ITC of about Rs 108 crore has been passed on using invoices involving amount of Rs 900 crore. Final duty is subject to outcome of the investigation," it said. 
 Till now, 15 buyer firms have already admitted their liability vide their voluntary statement and further deposited voluntarily about Rs 1.30 crore towards ITC wrongly availed, interest and penalty. 
 Also, about Rs 1.58 crore has been frozen in bank accounts of these fake firms. Further investigations are underway to identify key beneficiaries of the alleged fraud and to recover GST involved. NKD LUX MR

GST Commissionerate busts fake invoices racket in Delhi

New Delhi: Shares of <keyword id="20599931" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="NTPC-Green-Energy" source="keywords">NTPC Green Energy</keyword> Ltd, the <keyword id="19895602" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="renewable-energy" source="keywords">renewable energy</keyword> arm of <keyword id="19903558" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="NTPC" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="NTPC" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="NTPC">NTPC</keyword>, listed with a premium of over 3 per cent against the issue price of Rs 108 on Wednesday. The stock made its debut at Rs 111.60, up 3.33 per cent from the issue price on the BSE. Later, it climbed 12.40 per cent to Rs 121.40. At the NSE, it listed at Rs 111.50, up 3.24 per cent. The company's market valuation stood at Rs 1,02,211.38 crore during the morning trade. Shares of NTPC climbed nearly 2 per cent to Rs 368.80 on the BSE. The <keyword id="19913114" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="initial-public-offering" source="keywords">initial public offering</keyword> of NTPC Green Energy Ltd got subscribed 2.40 times on the closing day of the share sale on Friday. The Rs 10,000-crore share sale had a price band of Rs 102-108 per share. Proceeds from the <keyword id="19898327" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPO" source="keywords">IPO</keyword>, about Rs 7,500 crore at the upper band, will be used to repay or prepay part or all of its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd's (NREL) outstanding loans, and a portion will be utilised for general corporate purposes. NTPC Green Energy is a 'Maharatna' central public sector enterprise with a renewable energy portfolio, including solar and wind power assets.

The results were taken on record by the Board of Directors today at a meeting held in Mumbai. As per its statement, INOX’s advertising revenue has gone up by 3% and stands at ₹58 crore. Its footfall showed a 11% growth as INOX sold 17 million tickets in the Quarter. It closed the 3rd Quarter of FY2020 with a total revenues at ₹518 crore, reporting 19% growth, on a Y-on-Y basis. At ₹108 crore, EBITDA delivered a 25% growth and PAT stood at ₹51 crore with a 40% growth. INOX also rolled out its loyalty program, INOX REWARDS. This tier-based cinema loyalty program has already garnered more than 4 million members, within two months of its launch. The launch of INOX REWARDS also commemorated the historic milestone of 600 screens across the country. While action film War and comedy movie Housefull 4 were the top draws, content-driven movies like Bala and Good Newwz also played their part in inviting guests to INOX multiplexes across the country. The company has added 46 new screens in FY20 so far. INOX's advertising revenue grew by 3% to ₹58 crore

<keyword id="6355199" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Reliance-Industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> today reported a 16% jump in the March quarter net profit to a record quarterly earning of Rs 7,398 crore on the back of higher <keyword id="142668" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Refining">refining</keyword> and petrochemical margins. 

	Consolidated net profit of Rs 7,398 crore in January-March is against Rs 6,381 crore in the same period a year ago, the company said in a statement.
 RIL earned $10.8 on turning every barrel of <keyword id="45185" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Crude-oil">crude oil</keyword> into fuel compared with a gross refining margin of $10.1 in the fourth quarter of 2014-15. Refining margin outperformed Singapore benchmark by $3.1 per barrel. The company said it posted a record quarterly consolidated <keyword id="634742" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="PBDIT">PBDIT</keyword> (profit before depreciation, interest, and taxes) of Rs 13,994 crore, up 16.9 per cent. 

	The retail business achieved sales of Rs 5,781 crore during the quarter, up 21 per cent year-on-year, with EBIT of Rs 131 crore up 26 per cent.

The company, however, reported a 15.4 per cent year-on-year increase in its revenue for operations at Rs 23,938.7 crore during the quarter ended June. In a regulatory filing, the company said that the net exceptional charge of Rs 11,745.7 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2020 comprises of a charge on account of incremental provision and interest on license fee and spectrum usage charges of Rs 10,744.4 crore and net charge pertaining to re-assessment of levies of Rs 1,001.3 crore. Airtel logs $2 billion loss as it sets aside money for regulatory dues

New Delhi, Feb 5 () Multi-brand retail chain V-Mart Retail on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 58.22 crore for the quarter ended on December 31, 2019. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 41.68 crore for the corresponding period of 2018-19, V-Mart said in a filing to the BSE. The consolidated total income stood at Rs 562.58 crore for the quarter under consideration. It was Rs 467.55 crore for the same period year ago. "In the statement of profit and loss for the current period, operating lease expenses have been changed from rent to depreciation charge...To this extent performance for the quarter and nine-month period ending December 31, 2019 is not comparable with the previous period results," the company said. Shares of V-Mart closed at Rs 2,108 per scrip on the BSE, up 4.19 per cent over previous close. AKT RUJ

V-Mart Retail posts Q3 net profit at Rs 58 cr

New Delhi, Feb 3 () Triveni Turbine on Monday posted over a 18 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 27.07 crore for the December quarter.
 The company's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 22.83 crore in the quarter ended on December 31, 2018, a BSE filing said.
 It posted total income of Rs 205.87 crore for the quarter under consideration compared to Rs 213.18 crore for the same period a year ago.
 The earning per share (not annualised) for third quarter is Rs 0.84 per share.
 During the April-December period this fiscal, its consolidated net profit rose to Rs 108 crore from Rs 71.96 crore last fiscal.
 The company had earned a profit of Rs 100.23 crore last fiscal.
 It said that the interim dividend at the rate of 50 per cent (i.e, Rs 0.50 per equity share of Rs 1 each) for 2019-20 aggregating to Rs 18.15 crore (including dividend tax) has been paid during the quarter ended December 31, 2019.
 Commenting on the results Dhruv M Sawhney, Chairman and Managing Director at Triveni Turbine said, "The performance of the company has been in line with our expectations and the company achieved strong net profit for the quarter and nine months period under review. The phenomenal increase in nine-month PAT (profit after tax) was on account of improved turnover, higher margins together with reduced tax provisioning resulting from the recent changes in Corporate Taxes."
 Total order booking during the quarter stood at Rs 210 crore, a growth of 11 per cent year on year, which enabled the company to bridge the gap in order booking for the nine months period.
 The order booking for the nine-month period stood at Rs 636 crore, which is marginally lower than the corresponding period of last year and is expected to improve by the end of the year.
 For its JV GETL (GE Triveni Ltd), as communicated in June, Triveni had filed a petition in the National Company Law Tribunal and the matter is sub-judice. This is not affecting our current business and JV received orders of Rs 82.9 crore and the performance of the JV in the quarter under review has also been good, it added. KKS SHW

New Delhi, Feb 5 () Shares of Tata Global Beverages on Wednesday rose nearly 4 per cent after the company reported 25 per cent growth in net profit for the quarter ended December.The scrip gained 3.91 per cent to close at Rs 394.60 on the BSE. During the day, it jumped 7.42 per cent to Rs 407.95 -- its 52-week high mark.At the NSE, it climbed 3.86 per cent to close at Rs 394.60.In traded volume terms, 9.27 lakh shares of the company were traded on the BSE and over 2 crore shares at the NSE during the day.Tata Global Beverages on Tuesday reported 25 per cent growth in net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 at Rs 135.85 crore.The company's net profit stood at Rs 108.86 crore during the corresponding quarter of 2018-19, Tata Global Beverages said in a release here.Its revenue grew 4 per cent to Rs 1,962 crore during the quarter under review as compared with Rs 1,912.58 crore a year ago. New Delhi, Jan 10 () Capital markets regulator Sebi has lined up as many as 59 properties of Royal Twinkle Star Club and Citrus Check Inns for an auction next month at a reserve price of over Rs 213 crore.
The move is part of Sebi's effort to recover funds worth thousands of crores of rupees raised by the companies in the garb of sham 'timeshare' holiday plans.
The decision comes following directions of the Supreme Court, which in December 2019 directed the sale-cum-monitoring committee headed by retired Justice J P Devdhar to proceed with the sale of 114 properties of the companies within six months.
In a notice, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said it will auction 59 properties of the companies on February 10 at a reserve price of a little over Rs 213 crore. 
The properties to go under the hammer include hotels, residential flats, office premises and land parcels in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, New Delhi, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman.
Earlier this month, Sebi announced auction of four properties of the companies at a reserve price of over Rs 108 crore on January 23. During November-December, four properties of Royal Twinkle and Citrus Check Inns were auctioned at a reserve price of Rs 136 crore. 
In December 2018, Sebi had imposed a penalty of Rs 50 lakh on Citrus Check Inns and its directors for non-compliance with its order, wherein it had barred them from raising funds from the public.
Sebi had received several investor complaints against Citrus alleging that directors of Royal Twinkle were now running their collective investment scheme (CIS) through Citrus.
In August 2015, the regulator had imposed a four-year ban on Royal Twinkle and its four directors for illegally raising over Rs 2,656 crore in the garb of sham 'timeshare' holiday plans.
