In an exclusive chat with Business Insider, Non-Executive Director Sandip Gupta and the Chief Strategy Officer Gautam Badalia revealed details about the company’s growth prospects and opportunities going forward. These are the edited excerpts from the chat. Can you detail us more about your company? You cater to enterprises, (OTT) and mobile network operators (MNO); what are the big brands or companies that are associated with you? We are an enterprise that provides digital communication channels to the enterprises. Our customer base is from retails, banks to cab operators, and e-commerce. And whichever company wants to communicate with its customers, we provide them with a channel. And this channel can be SMS, voice call; it may email, it may be WhatsApp, it may be Viber, or can be a video. So these are the channels we provide to the enterprises so that they can efficiently communicate with the clients. For example, when you swipe your card, you get a debit alert, so that is done mostly by our SMS channels. Or you are on their OTT platform, and you need an OTP to download the content. So that OTP goes from our channel. We also provide a second layer in that. That is a voice channel when the client opts for an OTP via voice. How are you planning to use the IPO money? So we are looking at expanding both vertically and horizontally. Either entering into new geographies or consolidating into the existing one. We are also looking at expanding our product line. How has been the lockdown period for the company? So when you say lockdown, it has propelled our business more, as a lot of digital transactions happened during the period. So lockdown has given more value addition to our portfolio. So the overall lockdown period was better for us. What percent of your operation's revenue comes from foreign, and how much of it is from Indian companies? So in terms of revenue, 20% of our billing comes in Indian currency. The rest of the billing is in foreign currency. A large part of which is in USD and Euro. Total India revenue will be somewhere around 40% export and domestic business. During the COVID-19 (lockdown), digital transactions have grown. And at the same time, many businesses were shut too, like hospitality and tourism businesses. Airbus  partners with Indian company to boost on-demand helicopter services in South Asia

The IPO price band was set at ₹1,229-1,230. The stock listed at ₹1,518 with an upside of 23%. Within minutes after listing, the shares of CAMS lost nearly 5% of their value and were trading at ₹1457 apiece at 10:22 am. <div type="image" title="CAMS" msid="78420631" hostid="261"></div> The company’s total market cap rose to ₹7,073.35 crore at 10:25 am. A total traded quantity of 88.67 lakh shares changed hands on BSE, amounting to a turnover of ₹1320.40 crore. What excited the investors? CAMS IPO did witness strong demand. The issue was subscribed 47 times on the final day of bidding, receiving bids for 60.27 crore equity shares against the IPO size of over 1.28 crore equity shares, as per the subscription data from the stock-exchanges. According to the Nirmal Bang report, dated September 21, “over the past 5 years, CAMS has further strengthened its market share from 61% in March 2015 to 70% in July 2020, based on AAUM services. With the MF RTA industry estimated to grow at a CAGR of 15% over FY20-25E, we believe CAMS can also deliver similar growth going forward.” Ahead of the IPO, the company was also able to raise ₹667 crore from several anchor investors. including SmallCap World Fund, HSBC, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, among others. Strong listing for CAMS — stock debuts 23% higher than IPO issue price

<keyword id="60356" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="fundraising" source="Orion">Fundraising</keyword> through the issuance of shares to <keyword id="68968" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="institutional-investors" source="Orion">institutional investors</keyword> skyrocketed, as companies raked in Rs 50,218 crore in 2023, marking a six-fold surge from the previous year and indicating a positive outlook among investors. Apart from <keyword id="48708" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="qips" source="Orion">QIPs</keyword>, fund mobilisation through rights issue of shares and OFS (<keyword id="1498312" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="offer-for-sale" source="Orion">Offer-for-Sale</keyword>) route too surged in 2023, as compared to last year. Market experts attributed the primary reason for the increase in Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) fundraising to the market and <keyword id="470493" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="investor-sentiments" source="Orion">investor sentiments</keyword> that play an important role in their success. As long as positive market vibes persist, and investors continue to reap returns, listed companies lean towards opting for fundraising through QIP as this avenue ensures swift access to funds, they added. According to data by the National Stock Exchange (NSE), companies collected Rs 50,218 crore through QIPs in 2023, which was way higher than Rs 8,196 crore raised in the preceding year. Bajaj Finance Ltd spearheaded the largest QIP, securing about Rs 8,800 crore. Following suit, Union Bank of India and Bank of India raised around Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 4,500 crore, respectively. In addition, there was one QIP of a REIT of Brookfield India Real Estate Trust that garnered Rs 2,305 crore this year. Other noteworthy contributors to the fundraising spree included Cholamandalam Investment &amp; Finance, Federal Bank, IDFC First Bank, Aditya Birla Capital and Bank of Maharashtra. Listed companies that need funds either to meet their capex requirements or to comply with Sebi's 25 per cent minimum public shareholding norms generally opt to raise funds through the QIP route. Further, as compared to rights issues or follow-on public offers (FPOs), the QIP route takes less time and fewer compliance norms. QIP is one of the quickest products to raise funds from institutional investors. It is designed only for the listed companies, which allows them to mobilize funds quickly from institutional investors without the need to submit any pre-issue filings to market regulators. The NSE data indicates a substantial rise in capital raised through rights issue route, reaching Rs 8,017 crore this year compared to Rs 3,646 crore in 2022. Furthermore, fund mobilization through the OFS route increased 44 per cent to Rs 15,959 crore in 2023, up from Rs 11,110 crore in the previous year.

Nearly all brokerages had a “subscribe” call for Chemcon’s IPO, and the investors who subscribed to it back then are now being rewarded with hefty gains. The shares listed on the bourses at ₹731, with an upside of 115% over the issue price band of ₹338 to ₹340. The bumper listing was already on the cards! The IPO garnered a stellar response from investors and was oversubscribed nearly 149 times. It received bids for 976 million equity shares against the IPO size of over 6.5 million equity shares, as per the subscription data from the stock-exchanges. The company raised over ₹95.4 crore from several anchor investors, including IDBI Emerging Business Fund, ICICI Prudential Child Care Plan, IIFL Special Opportunities, HSBC Global Investment, Mirae Asset Health Care, Kuber India, Ashmore India, India Acorn, and Tata Multi-Asset Fund among others. The grey market premium had indicated listing gains of nearly 111% over the issue price band. And, there have been a lot of other reasons driving the bumper listing for this Vadodara-based company. Polling schedule in Maharashtra As part of the 2019 assembly elections, all the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the state of Maharashtra will go for polling in a single phase on October 21, 2019. The polling time is between 7 am and 5 pm. For the 2019 general elections, there are around 8.9 crore voters on the electoral rolls of the state of Maharashtra who will be eligible to cast their votes. The Indian nationals residing in Maharashtra above the age of 18 are eligible to vote in the upcoming elections. If you meet these criteria and have registered your name as a voter, your name will appear on the electoral rolls this time. The Election Commission of India has made the process of polling very simple for the voters. The EC also conducts many awareness programs to inform the voters on the different topics connected to the elections and the voting process. This is how you can check your name on the electoral rolls The online route Visit the state election commission website and choose your district and the Vidhan Sabha constituency. Choose your language and continue with the instructions for verifying your name on the voters’ list. Method to find your polling booth For the 2019 Vidhan Sabha elections, the Election Commission has increased the number of polling booths in the state of Maharashtra to benefit the voters. In total, there are 95,473 polling booths spread across the 288 constituencies of the state.
