The report further highlights that the cut-off wealth required to feature in the list has almost tripled since last year to ₹300 crore. Two Indians among ten chosen "aquapreneurs" to receive HCL mega-grant for water conservation efforts

<ul><li>HCL Tech’s revenue grew 5.2% sequentially to ₹24,686 crore while net profit grew 6.2% to ₹3,489 crore.</li><li>The company increased its revenue guidance for FY23 from 12-14% to 16-17%, but tempered its margin guidance.</li><li>Its attrition rate remained stagnant in Jul-Sep at 23.8%, while net employee addition stood at over 8,000.</li></ul>Noida-based IT company HCL Technologies today reported a 6.2% increase in the second quarter net profit to ₹3,489 crore, sequentially. Its revenues too grew 3.8% sequentially to ₹24,686 crore. Its net margins improved marginally to 14.1% from 14% in last quarter, but on a year-on-year basis, it's still down by 170 basis points. Buoyed by good deal wins in the first half of the financial year, the IT firm upped its revenue guidance – it now expects revenue to grow between 16-17% in constant currency for FY23, as opposed to its earlier forecast of 12-14%. However, it lowered EBIT margin guidance to 18-19% as opposed to its earlier forecast of 18-20%. Its attrition rate remained stagnant in the September quarter at 23.8% as it was in the last quarter. The net employee additions for the quarter stood at 8,359. The management indicated that the demand for IT services remained strong with a boost towards digital transformation. HCL Tech said it won 11 large deals during the quarter with a total contract value (new deal wins) of $2.38 billion and 16% sequential growth, while revealing that it has bagged a ‘mega’ deal in the quarter. However, it added that this deal’s impact will be only visible in FY24. “Our services business grew 5.3% QoQ and 18.9% YoY in constant currency, led by strong demand for cloud, engineering and digital services. This is a validation of the strategic choices we made and the effectiveness of our operational framework. HCL Tech’s net profit rises 6.3% sequentially, company increases FY23 revenue guidance

New Delhi, Nov 15 () The Habitats Trust, co-founded by HCL Corporation CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra, has announced grants totalling Rs 84 lakh to organisations working on environment conservation.
 The Habitats Trust awarded full financial grants worth Rs 60 lakh to four recipients across four categories. It also awarded 10 per cent of the grant amount in the respective categories to the nine finalists to ensure that their effort and work is recognised.
 "Every conservationist who applied for The Habitats Trust Grants is engaged in doing crucial work towards protecting our natural habitats and species. Each of them is deserving of support and it wasn't easy for us to choose the final recipients," The Habitats Trust founder and Trustee Roshni Nadar Malhotra said.
 The 13 finalists and eventually four winners were selected through a rigorous three-stage process that considered the expected impact, relevance, scalability of the project, the applicants' capacity to deliver as well as sustainability of their proposed work with a duration of approximately a year.
 The Trust received 860 registrations this year and chose 13 finalists from that pool after conducting field visits and due diligence by an external auditor.
 Aaranyak - which is working to secure and recover Manas grasslands in Assam and its threatened species - received a grant of Rs 25 lakh, while Costal Impact that is working on coral transplantation aids for preservation of coral patches off Goa was given Rs 20 lakh.
 Metastring Foundation, a citizen-based conservation initiative of the Malabar Tree Toad, received Rs 15 lakh, and Neethi Mahesh got Rs 10 lakh for her efforts on Riparian habitat conservation along the Cauvery River in Coorg District. SR RUJ

Habitats Trust awards grants worth Rs 84 lakh for environment conservation

New Delhi, Feb 27 () HCL Foundation, the CSR arm of HCL Technologies, on Thursday awarded a grant of Rs 16.5 crore to nine NGOs which will work in areas of education, environment and health. A grant of Rs 5 crore each was awarded to three NGOs -- Under The Mango Tree Society, Bal Raksha Bharat and Operation Asha for a period of five years. Six NGOs were given grant of Rs 25 lakh each for a period of one year. HCL Grant is an institutionalised CSR grant that aims to recognise non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and support their breakthrough projects reaching out to the rural communities in the country. "It is extremely important to bring equal opportunities to people coming from every strata of the society. I am highly impressed with the kind of impact these NGOs are bringing in the rural communities," cricketer and Padma Bhushan Kapil Dev said while addressing an event to announce the grant. HCL Technologies Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra said, "Our collaborative model allows us to support communities with critical concerns needing immediate attention and HCL Grant is a prime example of the same." After robust evaluation process, three NGOs per category were shortlisted for the final selection looking at their outstanding work.
