Tata Motors-owned <keyword id="42034" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jaguar">Jaguar</keyword> <keyword id="44719" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Land-Rover">Land Rover</keyword> on July 1, 2017, reduced prices of its entire vehicle range in India on an average by 7% to pass on benefit of reduced tax incidence under the Goods and <keyword id="645517" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="services-tax">Services Tax</keyword> (GST), according to PTI news report. The company said it is fully geared up for the new tax regime and its vehicles will be available under the new prices with immediate effect from any of its 25 retail outlets across India. “On an average, on the basis of ex-showroom Delhi prices, the reduction in the prices of our vehicles across the range will be around 7%,” Jaguar Land Rover India President and Managing Director <keyword id="153468" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rohit-Suri">Rohit Suri</keyword> told PTI. The Jaguar portfolio in India includes XE with a starting price of ₹34.64 lakh, XF starting at ₹44.89 lakh, F-PACE ₹67.37 lakh onward and XJ with a starting point of ₹97.39 lakh (ex-showroom prices across India). On the other hand, the Land Rover range includes the Discovery Sport starting at ₹40.04 lakh, Range Rover Evoque at ₹42.37 lakh upward, Range Rover Sport beginning at ₹89.44 lakh and Range Rover with a starting price point of ₹1.59 crore (ex-showroom in India). Under the new GST, large luxury cars and SUVs with engine capacity of over 1,500 cc are slated to attract a 15% cess over and above peak rate of 28%, thereby bringing down the overall tax incidence compared to around 50% under the previous taxation system. Asked about the company’s preparedness of the new system, Mr. Suri said, “We are absolutely ready. We have been working on this for the last 8-9 months to be ready. Although we had to modify some of the earlier plans closer to GST implementation, even our partners and supply chain is ready.” He said that with the GST regime kicking in, the company expects reduction in transportation time for its vehicles from the company’s Pune facility to different parts of the country.

Jaguar Land Rover launches the all-new Jaguar XF sedan at Rs 47.50 lakh

As if taking a cue from Narendra Modi’s pet project, Make in India, <keyword id="6360722" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="ratan-tata">Ratan Tata</keyword>’s most ambitious buy, the <keyword id="42034" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jaguar">Jaguar</keyword> <keyword id="44719" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Land-Rover">Land Rover</keyword>, will soon start assembling one of its most iconic brands, the Range Rover Evoque in India soon. The Range Rover Evoque will be assembled at the company’s Pune manufacturing facility, making it the fourth model to be rolled out locally. 
 
The locally-manufactured Range Rover Evoque is now available for sale with deliveries expected to begin from early April 2015 and will be priced between Rs 48.73 lakh and Rs 56.21 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai, pre-Octroi), the company said in a statement on Tuesday. 
 Commenting on the development, <keyword id="1002810" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jaguar-Land-Rover-India">Jaguar Land Rover India</keyword> <keyword id="2540" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="President">President</keyword> <keyword id="153468" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Rohit-Suri">Rohit Suri</keyword> said, "This will enable us to access a wider audience which consists of discerning and premium Indian customers who have always loved the brand, aspired to own this SUV and be seen in it." 
 
Stating that India is a market that offers significant opportunities for both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, he said, "Our investment in the Pune facility demonstrates our continued long-term commitment to the Indian market." 
 Already JLR assembles the Freelander 2, <keyword id="485029" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jaguar-XF">Jaguar XF</keyword> and XJ models at the Pune factory. 
 
The company said production at the Pune plant has tripled since its inauguration in 2011 and this latest development in the facility comes as part of Jaguar Land Rover's plans to expand its manufacturing footprint globally, increasing its production capacity outside of the UK. 
 
The Range Rover Evoque will be available in three variants priced at Rs 48.73 lakh, Rs 52.40 lakh and Rs 56.21 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Mumbai, pre-Octroi).

Jaguar Land Rover India on Thursday said it has launched its iconic SUV Defender in the country with price starting at Rs 73.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest version of the model comes with a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and would be available in two body styles in the country. The price of new Defender 90 (three-door) starts from Rs 73.98 lakh, while Defender 110 (five-door) is tagged at Rs 79.94 lakh onwards (ex-showroom). Deliveries of Defender 110 have begun, while that of 90 will commence from the first quarter of FY22. "So far, under Land Rover, we had the Discovery product pillar and Range Rover product pillar available in India. With this launch, the third product pillar, Defender, is now available," JLR India President and Managing Director Rohit Suri said. This, in many ways, completes the Land Rover brand story, he added. The new Defender will make its place in the hearts of many people with a curious mind, love for authentic adventures, passion for travel and who dare and wish to go above and beyond in life, Suri noted. Such individuals transcend barriers of age, gender, profession, with their free-spirited nature and fearlessness, just like the new Defender, he said. It would be sold through the company's 27 dealerships across the country and the customers would be able to choose from 170 individual accessories and four distinct accessory packs, the company said. It also delivers a maximum towing capacity of 3,720 kg coupled with a roof load capacity of 168 kg. JLR launches iconic Land Rover Defender in India at ₹73.98 lakh

New Delhi, Jan 30 () Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) on Thursday said it has launched a new version of Range Rover Evoque in India.
 The company said it has started deliveries of diesel powered S and R-Dynamic SE trims of the model, which are priced at Rs 54.94 lakh and Rs 59.85 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).
 The deliveries of petrol variants will begin shortly, it added.
 "The Range Rover Evoque has always been the most stylish and distinguished compact SUV in its category. Carrying forth this legacy, the new Range Rover Evoque packs fresh enhancements in design and technology, setting new standards in refinement and capability," JLR India President and Managing Director Rohit Suri said in a statement.
 The company is confident that the model will build strong appeal among all Land Rover fans, he added.
 The new generation Range Rover Evoque comes with BS-VI compliant 2 litre (132 Kw) turbocharged diesel powertrain while the petrol trims come with a 2 litre (184 kw) turbocharged engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system option.
 The model comes with enhanced off-roading capability with water wading capacity of 600 mm.
It also comes with interactive driver display, smartphone integration capability, clear sight interior rear view mirror among others. MSS SHW

Sales for July to September were over 50% up on the preceding quarter. Industry forecasts are for continued gradual recovery in demand globally,” the company told Business Insider. The company said it continued to bring furloughed employees back steadily. From a peak of around 20,000 employees on furlough, this had been reduced to currently 3,000 employees. That figure will continue to reduce week by week between now and when the <keyword id="10119680" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="uk-furlough-scheme">UK furlough scheme</keyword> ends at the end of October, the<a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/business/jlr-brings-back-85-furloughed-workforce-on-demand-recovery/articleshow/78685758.cms"> spokesperson said</a>. Keeping the furloughed employees back in the job will help the company benefit from the UK government’s job retention scheme. Tata Motors’ subsidiary JLR reinstates 85% of furloughed employees

<ul><li>There’s no doubt that in 2022 and beyond, companies and advertising agencies will dedicate more attention and resources to improving <keyword id="61889" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="diversity" source="Orion">Diversity</keyword>, <keyword id="12546708" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-and-inclusion" source="Orion">Equity and Inclusion</keyword> (DEI).</li><li>While the ad industry has a lot of women today, many drop out by the time they reach mid-management levels, primarily due to the lack of flexible hours, or the flexibility to work from home.</li><li>Advertising agencies, therefore, have been working towards training more women, to prepare them for leadership roles. They are also launching special programs to encourage queer people to join advertising agencies.</li><li>We speak to a few Creative Agencies that appear to be making strides in improving DEI to find out what’s their current <keyword id="1014511" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gender-ratio" source="Orion">gender ratio</keyword> and got them to share a few ways in which they think the industry can evolve to become more inclusive.</li></ul>The advertising industry is known to lead to change and advertising agencies have the power to shape how people see themselves through their creative campaigns. They have the power to make a positive impact on society. The industry can use its influential power in mending belief systems and nudging people to question their regressive thoughts. From challenging stereotypes to pushing people to embrace the entire gender spectrum, advertising campaigns can work wonders in bringing about acceptance. Apart from using their advertising and marketing tools tactfully, ad agencies can work towards improving gender representation inside their organisations at a structural level. However, at the creative stage, too many perspectives have been excluded over the years. Many organisations hire one queer person and make them the face of diversity. Last year, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/advertising/ad-agencies/article/cannes-lions-to-onboard-diversity-equity-and-inclusion-specialist-consultancy-after-former-dean-abraham-abbi-asefaw-called-out-the-organisation-for-lack-of-representation/articleshow/83030888.cms">Cannes Lions was </a>called out for hiring one person of colour at Roger Hatchuel Academy and making them the face of diversity. After drawing flak, the academy and Cannes Lions onboarded a specialised Diversity, Inclusivity and Equity agency to correct its course. In the last few years, advertising agencies in India have taken baby steps towards improving Diversity, Inclusivity and Equity inside their organisations as well. They are trying to build an inclusive culture that transcends barriers, biases and bureaucracy, and makes employees truly feel like they belong. With equal representation of different voices on the inside, historically underrepresented demographic groups are authentically and positively represented in the campaigns too. This leads to robust dialogue, richer decisions, it helps build empathy within the organization to design good, and human-centered solutions. Advertising and Media Insider gathered insights from industry leaders and agencies who appear to be making strides towards DEI about how employers can boost diversity and inclusion in their organisations. A look at the current gender ratio MullenLowe Lintas Group’s gender ratio stands at 35% and the agency network has a similar ratio even at the leadership level. Garima Pant, Group HR Director, MullenLowe Lintas Group told us about their hiring process. She said, “For us, DEI goes beyond Gender. This year with our Apex Council, we plan to steer initiatives and changes aimed towards shaping and embedding DEI in the DNA of the organization. Our commitment to hire more diverse voices has already been put in action; we are signatories on the UN Women Empowerment Principles, we introduced our Referral program with 2X referral bonus aimed at hiring women, PWD’s and LGBTQ+ team members and are also systemically looking at embedding DEI in our processes to ensure accountability while we lead with intent. For advertising, more than most other industries, DEI is not just a humanistic issue, it is a business case. At the heart of diversity and inclusion is getting diverse thinking, diverse perspectives, thereby inspiring imagination and impacting societal change.” DDB Mudra Group, which was one of the first agencies in India to update its insurance policy to include same-sex couples and live-in partners, ended 2021 with a gender ratio of women-to-men at 40:60. Rita Verma, EVP &amp; Head - HR, DDB Mudra Group told us all about the agency’s roadmap for 2022. She said, “DEI has been a key priority for us in the last few years, and our plans for the coming year are built off the work that we have done in the last three years. The Phyllis Project is a DDB global initiative that kicked off in 2018 to help women leaders stay the course and rise more effortlessly through the ranks. In 2020, in the middle of the challenges of the pandemic, we managed to launch the India leg of the program, which is a more intense, consistent and personalised program for our top 25 women talent. We will proudly be graduating the first batch of the Phyllis India project in March of this year, and kick-starting a 2022 batch. Through the last two years, with a mix of mentoring engagements with the best in the business within and outside DDB, training and skill-building interventions and exposure to some of the most inspiring women leaders, we’ve built a set of powerful women leaders. We are proud of the ones who have stayed with us and grown their influence within DDB in India, like Mehak Jaini who heads strategy for us at 22feet Tribal Worldwide, and also the incredible women talent who have gone on to take on bigger challenges in the industry such as Sonal Jhuj at Lego and Shagun Seda at Netflix. Our Open Pride program has seen us consistently engage in conversations with our employees to increase awareness and sensitize them towards the LGBTQIA+ community. We have made a conscious effort to improve our policies, whether it is in the context of insurance for same sex partners, or increased paternity leave, or wellness leaves. This is a result of six monthly reviews to see how we can be more inclusive and sensitive to all employees. We want to lead the thinking in contemporary employee policies and not follow the market, and are constantly seeking inputs from our people to get better at this. Another initiative that we are truly excited about this year, is a series of our Equal Parenting workshops to help our employees become the kind of parents and professionals they want to be and normalise the essential conversation around balancing parenthood and professional success.” At TBWA, 35-40% of their employees are women across client servicing, creative and planning functions. To encourage young women and employees of all genders to speak up their minds, the agency network has been working towards making leaders on the top more accessible to new employees. Namrata Nandan, Executive Director – West, South &amp; New Initiatives, TBWA said, “We have provided a platform to our young promising stars to establish a direct connect with the CEO and present their thoughts on matters pertaining to strategy, operations, organization culture, etc and play a part in the decision-making process. Young millennials and Gen Z are vocal &amp; creative, coupled with a strong need to belong and to be heard. This forum provides a great opportunity for the organization to leverage their creative/out-of-box thinking and at the same time gives them the opportunity to express themselves and participate in decision making.” Ways in which the advertising ecosystem can improve DEI It is important to build a work environment where all employees feel seen, accepted and valued. Rohit Suri, Chief HR Officer, dentsu South Asia said that agencies should ‘foster an Inclusive Culture by cultivating a supportive, welcoming and inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute to their full potential.’ Sharing how the entire advertising ecosystem can elevate DEI across the board, he said, “The advertising industry has a huge responsibility to uphold DEI and ensure stereotypes are removed, create products and service offerings that mitigate bias and it is important for the industry to understand that DEI is all about adapting human behavior, something that requires continuous enhancement of inclusion capabilities and ongoing practice every day. Secondly, along with behaviors organizations must have robust feedback mechanisms and listening systems that reinforce the culture of inclusion and belonging. Third, organisations must invest in training programs and initiatives that invite diverse talent from underrepresented groups to join them to ensure the ideas that come from these diverse teams are better and the clients are better served. Fourth, when DEI is treated as a business imperative it moves beyond the responsibility of one team or a group of people it becomes the responsibility of everyone in the organisation.” Pant broke down her advice into three parts and advised agencies to follow M.A.P. “Measure - What gets measured gets done: The Org Business and Talent dashboard needs to have a diversity and inclusion lens across the employee lifecycle. Awareness - Moving beyond the metrics. Awareness is the greatest agent for change. Policies: Put a stake in the ground. Policies ensure that organizations embrace talent practices that systemically drive Inclusion,” explained Pant. Verma pointed out that ‘with the queer community, the task is slightly different because one does not identify candidates at the outset by their sexual identity.’ What DDB Mudra Group is trying to build is an environment that makes everyone feel safe, nurtured and be given equal opportunity. This happens through consistent awareness building, education, and sensitization workshops and interactions. To bridge this gap, the agency has organised various masterclass sessions for its employees. Adding how the HR industry needs a refreshed approach after the pandemic, she said, “The advertising industry in India is experiencing a lot of change. And it is a great time to re-evaluate the principles on which we want to build our agencies going forward, and therefore the overall ecosystem. Especially in the last couple of years, we have seen unforeseen levels of attrition and burnout owing to the pandemic. What it has taught us is the fact that we need to do better by our people as an industry. Whether it is in terms of providing better work-life balance, supporting and propagating equal parenting, consciously seeking women talent in leadership, rewarding leaders for their role in creating and nurturing diverse and inclusive teams, or partnering clients to better represent women and other faultily represented communities in our work – there is so much we must do as an industry. We believe that product and creativity will be exceptional as an outcome of all these efforts as well. It is an exciting time, and we hope to walk tall in the advertising fraternity by leading from the front on all these issues.”

The uncertainty over the future of diesel cars in India has affected the business of Tata Motors-owned JLR, which is why it has decided to introduce more petrol variants of its cars in the country. 
 
The latest addition to this portfolio is the 2 litre petrol derivative of Land Rover Discovery Sport, which has been launched for a starting price of Rs 56.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 
 
"The Discovery Sport petrol variant was not planned as early as this to be introduced in India. It was planned for later. So definitely, it does affect our plans," JLR India president Rohit Suri was quoted saying, when he was asked if their business plans were affected by the SC-imposed ban on diesel cars and SUVs of engine capacity of over 2,000 cc and above in the regions of Delhi-NCR. 
 
Suri, however, said that the company had already started planning for petrol variants, because the Indian market was beginning to drift towards it from diesel, ever since as the price difference between the two fuels began to narrow. 
 
He was also asked if JLR planned to speed up the launch of petrol variants of its different models, to which he said, "We are adapting our portfolio, not just because of the ban (on big diesel cars and SUVs) but also due to the increasing preference for petrol vehicles. We will do our best to address the demand." 
 
Talking of the newly launched variant of the Discovery Sport, he said that this launch will help the premium SUV appeal more to the customers who like to drive vehicles with powerful petrol engines.

Tata Motors-owned <keyword id="6354362" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jaguar-Land-Rover">Jaguar Land Rover</keyword> is planning to launch an all-new version of its luxury sedan <keyword id="2422691" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jaguar-XE">Jaguar XE</keyword> in India next month. The all-new <keyword id="42034" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jaguar">Jaguar</keyword> XE will be launched in India on February 3, with two petrol engine options, Jaguar <keyword id="44719" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Land-Rover">Land Rover</keyword> (JLR) India said in a statement. Jaguar retailers have now formally started accepting bookings of this exciting new addition to the Jaguar product portfolio in India, it added. 

	"The launch of the all-new Jaguar XE in petrol in February this year will flag-off our journey to enter into a new territory and mark a significant milestone in the expansion of Jaguar's product offering in India," Rohit Suri President JLR India said.
 

	The luxury sedan displays levels of innovation never seen before in this segment, he added.
 

	"Coming from an impeccable lineage of extraordinary Jaguar sports saloons, we are confident that XE's thrilling performance and dynamic design will set a new standard for excellence and will be a game changer in the segment," Suri said.
 

	The Jaguar range in India includes F TYPE sports car with price starting at Rs 1.26 crore and locally manufactured XF sedan has price starting at Rs 47.7 lakh. It also sells XJ sedan in India at a starting price of Rs 97.2 lakh (All prices ex-Mumbai pre octroi). Jaguar vehicles are sold from 23 dealerships across the country.

<keyword id="6354362" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jaguar-Land-Rover">Jaguar Land Rover</keyword> launched a new variant of its <keyword id="2930635" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jaguar-XF-saloon">Jaguar XF saloon</keyword> in India today. It is priced at Rs 52 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai, Pre-Octroi). 
 
The new XF Aero-sport comes fitted with a 2.2 litre diesel engine and offers a range of exterior upgrades 
 
"Jaguar XF is known for its dynamic design, impeccable performance, refined drive and effortless power. The unique design enhancements on XF Aero-sport will further endear the hugely popular model to our young and sophisticated customers," JLR India President, Rohit Suri said. 
 
The Aero-sport comes kitted with sporty exterior features like rear spoiler, sport-style front bumper and black grille with chrome surround and interior features like the touch-screen navigation system and sunroof in addition to the ones in the regular model. 
 
The Jaguar India model range is available at 21 Jaguar dealerships across 19 Indian cities.

New variant
of Jaguar XF saloon launched

<keyword id="224588" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ralf-Speth">Ralf Speth</keyword>, the chief of Tatas-owned <keyword id="6354362" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jaguar-Land-Rover">Jaguar Land Rover</keyword> (<keyword id="45218" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="JLR">JLR</keyword>), has expressed disappointment over the ban that Supreme Court of India imposed on 2000cc and above diesel SUVs as well as cars in the national capital region. He has said that technologically, the ban is not justified. 
 
Speth stated that there are many aspects in which diesel engines are better than their petrol counterparts. "I am an engineer and I am very disappointed with the ban," he stated. 
 
"I don't understand the rationale behind the ban. All our models are Euro-VI complaint and these vehicles clean the air, and the air they suck in is far dirtier than which comes out of it. If we ban these kinds of vehicles I don't understand it," Speth told PTI. He was interacting with the sidelines of the Auto Expo 2016, which started today. 
 
In order to overcome the ban, JLR would be looking to bring in more petrol variants of its models, as stated by Rohit Suri, president of JLR India. He also added that they already sell petrol variants of the Jaguar XJ, Range Rover Sport. 
 
Today at the auto expo, the company launched two petrol variants of the Jaguar XE. The new model will be assembled at the company’s Pune plant, making it the sixth model which would be assembled in the country. 
 
Speth was also asked about the impact of the slowdown in China, to which he said that 2015 was a very difficult year for the company in the world's largest auto market. He also added that confounding the problem was the heavy loss that it had to suffer, because of the blast at the Tianjin port. 
 
However, he looked hopeful about faster growth in Europe, which has become its largest market in 2015, led by Britain.
