The <keyword id="48028" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="US-government">US government</keyword> shutdown has entered Day 9, with the debt default deadline looming large. As the impasse continues, we bring you a series of quick chats with entrepreneurs and start-up experts who are evaluating the situation in real time. Today’s chat is with <keyword id="1260599" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Rohit-Bhatia">Rohit Bhatia</keyword>. 
 The fiscal deadlock in the US shows no sign of letting up. Although most analysts believe that a deal would be reached in time to avert a dire crisis, investors and businesses are, understandably, feeling uneasy. So this time, we got in touch with Rohit Bhatia, <keyword id="5645" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="CEO">CEO</keyword> of an India-based social music streaming site that operates extensively in the US and claims that 30% of its business comes from that market, along with 2.5 million users. 
 Asked if the deadlock will affect the <keyword id="770060" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-start-ups">Indian start-ups</keyword>, as many of them are headquartered in the US, funded by the venture capitalists there and target the U.S. markets for business expansion, Bhatia says that a macro-level impact can’t be ruled out if the shutdown goes on long enough and it may also affect the next phase of VC <keyword id="6357455" type="EVENT" weightage="80" keywordseo="Funding">funding</keyword> for start-ups. Here are the excerpts from our chat. 
 
How will this current shutdown affect the Indian start-ups – those with significant operations in the US? 
 The private sector is completely disconnected from the government and because of this, we are not seeing the heat of the shutdown (as we are a private company). But if this goes on long enough, the larger companies are the ones that will be hit first. 
 
What about start-up funding? Will this have a long-term impact on seed-stage or early-stage funding? 
If the shutdown prolongs and a negative sentiment arises, there is a possibility for a macro-level impact – especially if the US defaults on its debts and standards. It may not hit start-ups right away, but after some time, it could hit the next phase of funds from VCs who are hit by a prolonged shutdown. 
 
Of late, VCs have been quite cautious about investing in Indian companies. Does the current situation mean investors will turn to emerging markets again? I actually believe it’s the other way around. In India, there are more VCs than start-ups who are viable to <keyword id="47916" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="invest">invest</keyword> in. Therefore, there is plenty of money in emerging markets. But these countries lack the abundance of start-ups that you find here in the US. 
 
Finally, will small businesses consider it a breach of trust? Will Indian start-ups now think twice before entering the US market? 
To be frank, it’s really too early to tell. Certainly there is a negative impression, especially when this is happening in the world’s No. 1 economy. But having said that, a lot of people understand that there is a lot of political posturing between the Democrats and the Republicans and it is likely that this will blow over. To sum it up, it doesn’t completely shake our faith, it dents our faith.

It was during this session of AskSRK that some followers decided to test Khan’s patience. 
 
One follower asked Khan when he would learn acting, hinting at his performances in the last few releases viz. Happy New Year and Chennai Express, as well as <keyword id="1665132" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Dilwale">Dilwale</keyword>.

New Delhi, June 20 () Yoga can reduce not just the pain, but also the treatment cost of migraines, a new study has found. The study conducted by AIIMS was published in the online issue of Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology, according to a statement by AIIMS. The statement comes ahead of the International Yoga Day on June 21. The new research suggests that yoga may help people with migraine and result in headaches that happen less often, don't last as long and are less painful. "Medications are the first-line treatment for migraine, but they work for only about half of patients, and many drugs have side effects that make about 10 percent of people stop using them," it said. "The results (of the study) showed that yoga can reduce not just the pain, but also the treatment cost of migraines. This is, until now, the largest randomised trial evaluating yoga as a therapeutic tool for migraine," it said. For the study, about 114 patients with episodic migraine were recruited to one of two groups. The first group received conventional medical therapy as prescribed by their doctors, while the second got conventional treatment, plus a yoga program that included breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and yogic postures, the study said. The yoga protocol was prepared by yoga physicians at the Centre for Integrative Medicine and Research (CIMR) at AIIMS. Patients learnt the program in one-hour sessions for three days a week in a month under the supervision of yoga therapists at CIMR, and then practiced the routines at home, five days a week for the next two months, the study said. The study found that both groups showed a reduction in the frequency and intensity of headaches. But the yoga group tended to get significantly fewer headaches and had less intense headaches. "For headache frequency, the yoga group started with an average of 9.1 headaches per month, and ended the study reporting just 4.7 headaches per month, a 48 per cent reduction," the study said. The medication-only group reported an average of 7.7 headaches per month at the start of the study and 6.8 at the end of the three months, a 12 per cent decrease, it said. The average number of pills the yoga group used decreased by 47 per cent after three months, while the usage of pills by the medication-only group decreased by about 12 per cent, the study said. The main contributory authors for the study are Rohit Bhatia, Professor, Department of Neurology, AIIMS, Gautam Sharma, Professor in Charge, Center for Integrative Medicineand Research, AIIMS, and Anand Kumar, Senior Resident, Department of Neurology, AIIMS. They concluded that yoga as an ancillary therapy in episodic migraine is superior to medical therapy alone. It may be useful to integrate a cost effective and safe intervention like yoga in the management of migraine patients, the authors added. UZM SNE

 All-rounder Hardik Pandya's last-over heroics helped <keyword id="13880" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mumbai-Indians">Mumbai Indians</keyword> recover from a mediocre position to post a healthy 184/8 against <keyword id="3315697" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rising-Pune-Supergiant">Rising Pune Supergiant</keyword> (RPS) in the second game of the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Thursday. 
 
Bengal medium pacer Ashoke Dinda was the culprit for the home side conceding 30 runs in the final over when Hardik (35 not out) hammered the right-armer for four sixes (including three consecutive) and a four to change the course of the game. 
 
Earlier, South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who went unsold in the auctions and was a late addition to the Pune squad, brought the hosts back into the game with three quick wickets after the Mumbai opening duo of Jos Buttler (38) and Parthiv Patel (19) added 45 runs for the opening wicket. 
 
Introduced in the fifth over, Tahir struck in his second ball when he bowled Parthiv round his legs before packing Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma (3) and Buttler in his next over to reduce Mumbai to 62/3. 
 
Rohit, who has been out of action for almost five months, was slow on his feet and it was enough for Tahir to break through his defence. One ball later, Tahir trapped the dangerous Buttler in front although television replays later showed that the Englishman had got a thick inside edge. 
 
Before his dismissal, Buttler lived up to his billing, milking his English teammate and IPL-10's costliest buy Ben Stokes (Rs 14.5 crore) for two consecutive sixes and then dispatching rookie Rajasthan medium-pacer Deepak Chahar for a four and a six off back-to-back deliveries. His 19-ball knock was laced with three hits to the fence and as many maximums. 
 
After the strategic time-out, Pune skipper Steve Smith introduced veteran all-rounder Rajat Bhatia, who responded well by taking a simple return catch to pack Ambati Rayudu (10) before dismissing Krunal Pandya (3) cheaply. 
 
Australian leggie Adam Zampa then added to the misery for the visitors by picking the crucial wicket of Nitish Rana (34), comfortably caught by Bhatia at deep midwicket. 
 
Rana looked good for his 28-ball knock, consisting a four and two sixes, but it was the 30-run fourth-wicket stand with Rayudu and 18 runs with Keiron Pollard (27) that mattered more. 
 Pollard, who was dropped by <keyword id="6397" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dhoni">Dhoni</keyword> on 22, struggled to get the big shots before falling to a stunning running catch by Mayank Agarwal at the long-on boundary off Stokes. 
 
The West Indian struck three boundaries and a six in his 17-ball innings as he added 21 runs for the seventh wicket with Hardik Pandya. 
 
Hardik then added 37 runs for the eighth wicket with New Zealander Tim Southee (7) to put Mumbai in a commanding position.

BBK received funds from investors, including Chandigarh Angels Network, ex-Evalueserve Chief operating officer Ashish Gupta, GlobalLogic's Sunil Singh, highly successful US IT entrepreneur Alok Bhatia, and some senior executives from leading Financial &amp; Legal Firms. Rohit Chand and his son Ashish Chand also participated in BBK investment round, through their family fund Yukti Securities, which makes angel investments in the food and IT sectors. 
 
Revenue model 
BBK is currently generating an annual sales run rate of around Rs 7-10 cr. And targeting annual sales run rate of Rs 15-20cr by Mar 2018. BBK has currently 4 delivery outlets in NCR (Gurgaon, Dwarka, Noida, South Delhi- Shahpurjat). BBK plans to launch in other major cities like Pune &amp; Bangalore after Mar 2018.

B2B e-commerce supply portal MaxWholesale raises $150k 
 
MaxWholesale, Delhi-based B2B eCommerce platform, has raised $150,000 in seed round of financing by Maple Capital Advisors, Abhinav Grover (director at Maple Accelerator), investors including Ridhish Talwar, and investment bankers from New York. With this investment Abhinav Grover will join the board of the company. In a statement the company stated that the funds will be deployed to expand business and upgrade its technology platform. 
 
Founded by Samarth Agrawal and Rohit Narang, the start-up acts as a medium between retail store owners and large companies. Through this platform, sellers can buy inventory for their stores. 
 
Machine learning platform grabs $200k in Angel <keyword id="6357455" type="EVENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Funding">funding</keyword> 
 
Delhi-based machine learning platform, Neuron, has raised $200,000 in angel round of funding led by Harvinder Singh Bhatia, CFO Netmagic &amp; Founder of Radiowala and Vinners group of angels. The company stated that the raised capital will be used for its R&amp;D in machine learning and natural language processing to develop deep learning models with the best accuracy industrially possible and hire the best talent pool for machine learning. 
 
Founded by Veer Mishra and Aaditya Kakde in 2014, the company acts as a natural language processing platform that provides API’s that help analyse the overall sentiment of a statement, extract the most significant word in a document, help know the similarity/relatedness of two statements, understand the context of documents, and categorize into topics. 
 
Travel start-up Peek secures $10M 
 
Peek, a San Francisco, CA-based web destination to discover and book tours &amp; activities, raised $10M in funding from Pete Flint, David Bonderman, Ray Lane, Gigi Pritzker and Michael Pucker. 
 
Launched in 2012 by Oskar Bruening and Ruzwana Bashir, Peek is a platform to discover and book tours &amp; activities. It offers Peek Professional, which allows operators to manage and grow their businesses, as well as Peek.com and a mobile app that connects people with everyday adventures. 
 
The company is also backed by Eric Schmidt (Innovation Endeavors), Jack Dorsey, David Bonderman, SV Angel and CAA.
