According to Inside Edge star <keyword id="6366549" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="richa-chadda">Richa Chadda</keyword>, web series have pushed Bollywood to create better content. “The threat to cinema will not come from OTT platforms. It has actually nudged the Bollywood industry," said Chadda. Before her stint with Prime Video’s hit series on IPL, Chadda was known to play the off-beat roles like Bholi Punjaban in Fukrey - a hit Bollywood franchise. Later, she became one of the first few Bollywood actors to experiment with web series. Good TV shows from the DD era For Chadda, web series will bring bcl quality content like Hum log or Duniya which were a part of Indian TV, before they became mass entertainers with soap operas. Like many of her generation, she could not relate to Hindi television series and shifted to American shows. "There was a huge gap between the content I wanted to watch on television to what was available for my parents. When Inside Edge was offered to me, there was no Amazon Prime in India. When I said I will be doing this new web series, people were like yeh kaun dekhega (who will watch this?. But now, they are forced to take part in it," says Chadda, at the 14th India Digital Summit of IAMAI. Bollywood wants to be in par with OTT platforms A lot of talented Bollywood actors are finding a second coming in the original web series -- like Shefali Shah from Delhi Crime or Pankaj Tripathi from Mirzapur. "Two years ago, people used to say digital is the future. Now, it is the present. Some are exploiting the lack of censorship, while some are finding a balance. The production houses that are known for television, they tend to create shows on digital that are similar to television,” said Chadda delivering a critique on the quality of web series. According to Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2019 by Duff and Phelps, web series are now attracting the best of Bollywood - including actors and directors. Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, and Zoya Akhtar are creating content exclusively for GenOTT, the report released on February 4, said. “OTT has changed my life because suddenly my audience is everywhere. It empowers me to be more complex, denser and [to not have] to explain so much. Inside Edge star Richa Chadda believes web series pushed Bollywood to do better

People who know what acting is know that it is not only a profession that brings with it money and fame. In fact, those are mere perks for a person who gives his heart and soul to performing arts. Though it is true that acting can not be taught as this is skill that comes from within, there are many courses available in a number of acting institutes in India that help you polish this skill and learn the intricacies involved.

National School of Drama, New Delhi 
 
National School of Drama, or NSD as it is fondly called, is the Mecca of acting in India. If NSD is the Mecca of actors, FTII is no less. Known to be the origin place of some of the best talents of industry, this autonomous organization under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting offers a two-year post graduate diploma in acting, and has produced actors like Jaya Bachchan, John Abraham, Rajkumar Rao, Shabana Azmi and the late Smita Patil. The prerequisite for joining this prestigious course is a Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognised university, followed by a screening by a team of selectors. 
 
Asian Academy of Film and Television, Noida 
 
AAFT is another institute that provides graduate, post graduate and diploma courses in acting. Alma mater of Arjun Kapoor, this upcoming acting school has seen some of the best minds in the industry paying a celebrity visit and guest lectures. Founded by Sandeep Marwah who is closely related to the family of Anil Kapoor, this media school has seen some established film and TV actors as its alumni.

Known for training Shah Rukh Khan in acting, Barry John is accredited for training many young talents in his acting studio. Versatility is the key. You must be able to switch between characters to patterns to graphics in minutes.” 
 The prospective job candidate is given a theme, and asked to design something. After the test, company officials give their feedback and eligible candidates are called for interviews. “We recently asked some how <keyword id="847170" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Chumbak">Chumbak</keyword> Men should look like”, Chadda says. 
 
With average age standing at 27 years, the Chumbak workforce is pretty young. While senior management is a bit older, Chadda says some roles require a ‘bit more’ experience. 
 
“We’re still a very young company. Our head of brand is all of 28”, she smiles.

The 68th annual <keyword id="6362016" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Cannes-film-festival">Cannes Film Festival</keyword>, which starts today in the beautiful city of Cannes, France, is all set to make a lot of headlines, like it has been doing, year after year. 
 This year, the world would see not one or two but three Indian beauties walking down the red carpet of the Cannes film festival. All three divas, namely <keyword id="6366471" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Aishwarya-Rai">Aishwarya Rai</keyword> Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif would be representing the popular international cosmetic brand, L’Oreal. 
 
This would be the Cannes debut of Katrina Kaif, as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor have already appeared and represented the brand at the prestigious film festival. 
 
Katrina Kaif would be walking the red carpet on the first and second day of the festival, which means that she would be gracing the red carpet today and tomorrow. 
 
For Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who completes 14 years at Cannes this year, the red carpet appearance would be towards the end of the festival, reportedly on 17th and 20th May. 
 
Sonam Kapoor, for whom this is the 5th Cannes appearance, would be showing off her elegance on 16th and 18th May. 
 
Talking of movies, there are two Indian feature films that will be screened under the Uncertain Regard section. The first one, titled Masaan has Richa Chaddha in the lead. The movie has been shot in Varanasi, is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. The second movie is Gurvinder Singh's Punjabi movie Chauthi Koot, which is a period drama set in Punjab of the 1980s. 
 
Other than this, there is a short movie to be screened, called Miyan Kal Aana, which is produced by actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and directed by his brother Shams Siddiqui.

How do we know this? A flash mob of 100 dancers, adorned in sparkling anarkalis and ghungroos, took to Carter Road, Mumbai, in a breathtaking celebration of the series to make the announcement. <div type="Youtube" id="RVH0mAipqlw" title="Heeramandi | Season 2 Announcement | Sanjay Leela Bhansali | Netflix India" thumbUrl="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/RVH0mAipqlw/mqdefault.jpg"><url><![CDATA[https://youtu.be/RVH0mAipqlw]]></url></div> Despite a splashy debut and a star-studded cast, the first season received mixed reviews with some praising the visuals and others criticising the pacing and underdeveloped characters. Will Season 2 address these issues and deliver a more satisfying story? Being an absolute fool for historical fiction that I am, the announcement of a period drama with a prominent female cast set in pre-Independence India had me dancing a little jig. The fact that this was the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s labour of love was the icing on the cake, with the amazing cast being the cherry on the top. However, when Heeramandi hit our screens, it quickly became apparent that no amount of grandeur, powerful acting or even Aditi Rao Hydari’s mesmerising gaja gamini walk was going to be able to save the show. Heeramandi draws inspiration from the lives of tawaifs in Lahore's famed red-light district, with its first season unfolding against the backdrop of India's struggle for independence. The ensemble cast featured talents such as Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadda, among others. Season 1 takes off on a high note, and does a fantastic job of capturing viewers in its web of opulence and beauty. It gets the set, costumes and choreographies right, but all these trappings that Bhansali employs to bring what he’d imagined to our screens turn out to be just, well, trappings. Instead of being glued to my seat as I’d expected, I found myself just reluctantly sitting through the show, looking for any excuse to abandon my seat. To put it plainly — and it hurts my tonsils to even say this after eagerly waiting for the show for months — Heeramandi was kinda boring. A few episodes in, it becomes increasingly obvious that Bhansali was more invested in the set design than a well-rounded screenplay. As nice as the performances delivered by the cast was, there was way too much happening, making it hard to keep track of what was going on in spite of the pacing being sluggish. Plenty of subplots were created but barely any efforts were made to see them to the end — the same applying to character design as well. For instance, despite trying her best to make up for it with her acting, the character arc of <keyword id="22012158" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sanjeeda-sheik" source="keywords">Sanjeeda Sheik</keyword>, who was playing Waheeda, was incomplete at best. What was especially jarring was the fact that the tawaifs, who were each rather self-absorbed by their own tumultuous personal lives for most of the show, abruptly decided to bury all their hatchets in the final episode of the season for the sake of azadi. The first season ended with the death of beloved characters like Bibbojaan and Nawab Tajdar. Heeramadi’s future hung in uncertainty as the Nawabs abandoned their patronage. Now, as viewers await the aftermath of these events, Sanjay Leela Bhansali hints that the new chapter will unfold with the tawaifs venturing into the worlds of Kolkata and Mumbai's film industries, trading their talents for new audiences. And I can’t help but be just the slightest bit apprehensive about the upcoming season. If the writing and pacing felt haphazard after Sanjay Leela Bhansali dreamt of making Heeramandi for 20 years and spent another three years making it, I shudder to think how the next season — which seems like an afterthought — would turn out. With a fresh plot on the horizon, audiences anticipate the introduction of new faces to enrich the narrative. The official teasers and trailers are yet to be released and the fate of surviving characters remains undisclosed, but it will be interesting to see if key actors will come back for Season 2. Viewers might be particularly curious to see if Mr Bhansali’s niece, <keyword id="20411932" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sharmin-segal" source="keywords">Sharmin Segal</keyword>, would return as Alamzeb after all the criticism thrown her way. Will Mr Bhansali pull up his socks after all the criticism thrown his way or will Heeramandi Season 2 also rely on seasoned actors shouldering a choppy script? Only time will tell. Another season of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is in the works! Dare we hope for more substance this time?

Mumbai, The third part of the popular comedy franchise "<keyword id="1182509" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="fukrey" source="Orion">Fukrey</keyword>" will be released in theatres on December 1. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment shared the release date of "Fukrey 3" on Twitter on Tuesday night. "The Jugaadu boys are back on 1st Dec, 2023 at cinemas near you with more laughter, jugaad and fukrapanti. #Fukrey3," read the tweet. <keyword id="17699988" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="threequel" source="Orion">Threequel</keyword> was previously set for release on September 7. The buddy comedy film franchise started with 2013's "Fukrey" and was followed by a 2017 sequel, titled "<keyword id="3879789" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="fukrey-returns" source="Orion">Fukrey Returns</keyword>". It chronicles the story of four friends, Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), Laali (Manjot Singh) and Zafar (Ali Fazal), who come together to make easy money. The movie series also features <keyword id="6363098" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="richa-chadha" source="Orion">Richa Chadha</keyword> as local gangster Bholi Punjaban and Pankaj Tripathi as Pandit ji. Just two days before release, ‘Udta Punjab’, was leaked online. Phantom Films has filed a copyright theft case with the cybercrime cell. It is being speculated that the copy that was submitted to the censor board was uploaded on various torrentz sites. 
 
The download links were removed later owing to copyright complaint. 
 
Following the piracy issue, Bollywood celebrities have come out in support of the movie, urging fans to watch it in theatres. 
 
From Aamir Khan to Bipasha Basu, Bollywood actors and actresses took to Twitter and backed Udta Punjab’s star cast and decried piracy.

Similar to those companies, Poshmark isn't profitable, but has looked at <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/poshmark-adds-home-decor-after-clothes-selling-success-2019-6">expanding into home decor, men's clothing, and children's clothing resale</a> to up the ante ahead of a public debut.The 8-year-old company was originally founded as GoshPosh by CEO Manish Chandra, Tracy Sun, Gautam Golwala, and Chetan Pungaliya."The original idea of GoshPosh was "Gosh, it's posh," like it was surprisingly stylish," Chandra told Business Insider. "But 'gosh' has a really interesting connotation so we started looking for something else, but I was insistent to having posh in the name. "That was the first time in understanding social shopping," Chandra said. "When I left Kaboodle and Hearst in 2010, I knew I wanted to pursue this, but the technology didn't exist. The idea was reborn with the advent of the iPhone 4 because it had great picture taking capabilities and editing capability."Chandra said he and his founding team struggled to convince investors that Poshmark could be a successful app that only lived on a user's mobile device. According to Chandra, multiple investors asked the team to develop a version that worked on a web browser or completely abandon mobile for more familiar territory. But the entrepreneur's track record was enough to convince Navin Chadda, managing partner at Mayfield fund."He pitched me his last company Kaboodle but I didn't think that was a venture opportunity so I didn't invest," Chadda told Business Insider. "We kept in touch, and in 2010 he was thinking about what to do next and was very intrigued with what the iPhone had done. He had shut off from using PCs entirely and was only on mobile, so we brainstormed what you could do to marry social networks around photos with commerce."Chadda ended up leading Poshmark's $3.5 million Series A in February 2011 that valued the company at $6.5 million. His conviction in Chandra and his team paid off: the company was recently valued at $625 million and will raise even more if the public offering goes as planned."He is the soul and driving force," Chadda said of Chandra.
