Happiest Minds IPO registrar website crashes as investors rush to check allotment status

<ul><li>The data collected during the 2021 Census will be stored electronically for the first time since the <keyword id="1659551" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Decennial-census">decennial census</keyword> began in Independent <keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> in 1951. </li><li>The decision for saving data electronically was notified by the <keyword id="391888" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Registrar-General-of-India">Registrar General of India</keyword> (RGI) on 19 June. </li><li>Tampering with any information will be punished under the <keyword id="6379296" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="IT-act">IT Act</keyword> this time onwards since it is now being electronically saved. </li></ul>According to a rule amended by the Registrar General of India (RGI) on 19 June, the data collected during the 2021 Census will be<a href="https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/2021-census-data-to-be-stored-electronically/article24314758.ece?homepage=true"> stored electronically </a>for the first time since the decennial census began in Independent India in 1951. The schedules that are in tabular forms with details of citizens, and other connected papers shall be disposed off totally or in part by the Director of Census Operations, after creating an electronic record of the documents. Even though the <keyword id="15510" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Survey">survey</keyword> is beginning to employ technology, the process is not expected to turn completely paperless any time soon. Even the developed countries have not reached that stage yet. For example, the US Census scheduled for 2020 will also involve paper. The schedules are carried out by enumerators from household to household for the purpose of the survey. Once all the information is collected, the papers are stored at the government’s storehouse in Delhi. The officials earlier had to scan through the pages to obtain and publish relevant statistical information on population, language and occupation. These amounted to millions of pages and took up a lot of space in the office. The information could not be easily accessed and had chances of being lost if the papers got damaged. The data is used to publish the tables on the <a href="http://censusindia.gov.in/">Census website</a> and the papers had to be destroyed after 10 years in order to free up space for the next census. However, the information can now be stored forever electronically and will be easily accessible. India will store decennial census data electronically for the first time in 2021

A look at the data in regional offices of <keyword id="87068" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Registrar-of-Companies">Registrar of Companies</keyword> (RoC) will throw light on the number of companies that are not carrying out any business in last two financial years. There are nearly 2.5 lakh companies that are on the verge of getting dissolved for not carrying out any business and have not applied for 'dormant' status. Under the Companies Act, 2013, companies have to apply for ‘dormant’ status if they are not functioning for two financial years. The regional RoCs stated there are 71,000 such companies in Mumbai, 53,000 in Delhi, 40,000 in Hyderabad and 22,000 in Bengaluru. These companies will be struck off and dissolved in the absence of any objection. ET reported RoC Chennai names only 4,000 companies in the notice, while those in Kanpur, Jaipur and Chandigarh naming 7,000, 6,000 and 4,600 companies, respectively. The rules also state that the Registrar of Companies shall, 'simultaneously intimate the concerned regulatory authorities regulating the company, viz, the income-tax authorities, central excise authorities and service-tax authorities ' to seek any objections before deregistering the companies. Section 455 of the Act provides for an inactive company to apply for 'dormant' status in cases where a company is formed and registered 'for a future project or to hold an assor intellectual property and has no significant accounting transaction'. Data with respect to number of companies that have acted upon being identified in these notices is still unavailable.

I'm mentoring a radio presenter in his 20s for no charge. It's rewarding. He doesn't see me as an old fogey and values my input after 46 years in various professions.<h2 id="670473c7-5865-45cf-800b-3bcb31a9d31a">I founded a digital support group for like-minded older people</h2>As for the extra work, I joke that my biggest role was "man walking past church." My second best role was "man pushing supermarket cart." I meet interesting people and operate at my own pace.I'm much happier pulling the strings I want to pull rather than having them pulled for me.There are a lot of mature, like-minded people out there. I set up an online networking group, <a target="_blank" class="" href="https://www.imnotdoneyet.co.uk/">I'm Not Done Yet,</a> of 100 members who are all over 50. Some are in their late 70s. They share my philosophy; we have much to offer in our second careers, and enjoy the challenge.Meanwhile, I keep myself in shape by regularly exercising on the treadmill and following a vegetarian diet.
