Redmi Earbuds S features The Redmi Earbuds S brings a compact form factor that was usually found in costlier earphones to the budget segment. It is equipped with the Realtek RTL8763BFR chip and supports Bluetooth 5.0. The Redmi Earbuds S use 7.2mm drivers and sport DSP Environmental Noise Cancellation. It is also IPX4 rated for water and sweat resistance, making it easier to use outdoors. For gamers, the Redmi Earbuds S comes with a 122ms low latency gaming mode that can be enabled with three taps on the headset. It also allows you to play/pause the music by double tapping and launching the voice assistant by a long press. The Redmi Earbuds S are powered by a 43mAh battery that offers 4 hours of battery life on a single charge. The charging case features a 300mAh battery that offers an additional 12 hours of battery life. Fake phones and accessories have become so rampant that Xiaomi posted a <a href="https://twitter.com/XiaomiIndia/status/1218896647565930496">video </a>on how to differentiate between original headphones and fakes. Last year, 2,000 counterfeit Xiaomi accessories valued at over ₹13 lakh were <a href="https://www.livemint.com/companies/news/fake-xioami-phones-accessories-worth-rs-13-lakh-seized-from-delhi-s-karol-bagh-11575619913310.html">seized</a> by the Delhi police from Gaffar Market following a complaint from the company. The counterfeit products seized include Mi power banks, Mi Neckbands, Mi Headphones, Redmi AirDots, Mi 2-in-1 USB Cable, etc. In an earlier <a href="https://www.business-standard.com/article/pti-stories/counterfeit-products-cause-over-rs-1-lakh-crore-loss-annually-in-india-aspa-119081100350_1.html">statement</a> to PTI, ASPA President Nakul Pasricha said, “At present counterfeiting causes around ₹1.05 lakh crore losses to India per annum. If counterfeiting is curbed by 50 percent through proper implementation of authentication solutions, enforcement, awareness, and monitoring, it can save more than ₹50,000 crore per annum". Xiaomi isn’t the only company affected by fake products.
