Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is hiring more than 3,000 people for upper division clerk, stenographers and more across India

<ul><li><keyword id="94075" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ESIC" source="Orion">ESIC</keyword> is recruiting to fill up 93 social security officer/manager/superintendent positions.</li><li>The online application window will close on April 19.</li><li>Candidates can expect their salary to range between ₹44,900 and ₹1,42,400.</li></ul><keyword id="573482" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Employees-State-Insurance-Corporation" source="Orion">Employees State Insurance Corporation</keyword> (ESIC), which is a statutory body under the ownership of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 93 positions of social security officer/manager Gr-II/superintendent. The online application has already started and the last day to apply for the opportunity is April 12. Candidates can expect their salary to range between ₹44,900 and ₹1,42,400, as per 7th central pay commission, along with dearness allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), transport allowance, and other allowances. Eligibility criteria for the role — <ol><li>A degree of a recognised university (preference will be given to the graduates in commerce/law/management). </li><li>Working knowledge of computers including the use of office suites and databases. </li><li>Desirable/not necessary — Three years of experience in service in a government organisation or corporation or government undertaking or local body or scheduled bank etc. </li><li>The age of the candidates should be between 21 to 27 years as of the closing date of April 12, 2022. </li></ol>Candidates from categories are also required to pay an application fee of ₹500, while candidates belonging to scheduled castes (SC)/scheduled tribes (ST)/persons with disabilities(PwD)/female/ex-servicemen have to pay ₹250. Employees State Insurance Corporation is hiring social security officers with a maximum pay scale of ₹1,42,400 per month

New Delhi, Dec 19 () Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar on Thursday laid foundation stone for an Employees' State Insurance Corporation's 100-bed hospital in Vijaynagaram, Andhra Pradesh, which will serve 3.88 lakh beneficiaries.
"Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Labour and Employment laid the foundation stone of ESI Hospital, Vijaynagaram, Andhra Pradesh today," a labour ministry statement said.
 Andhra Pradesh Dy Chief Minister &amp; Minister for Tribal Welfare Pamula Pushpa Sreevani was the chief guest on this occasion.
Addressing at the function, Gangwar informed about various initiatives taken by the government to provide better health care and services to the work force.
He said that 159 hospitals in the country are providing the ESIC services and 47 out of them are run by the corporation and rest by state governments. 
The minister also said that recruitment drive has been initiated to fill the post of medical staff in ESIC hospitals.
The 100-bed ESI Hospital in Vijaynagaram will be built over five acre area with an estimated cost of Rs 75.26 crore. The hospital will be equipped with all modern medical facilities like OPD, wards, labs and emergency facility.
This hospital will help in catering the needs of two north-eastern districts of Andhra Pradesh -- Srikakulam and Vijaynagaram -- that currently has over 1 lakh IPs and 3.88 lakh beneficiaries, who are taking secondary care treatment at Vishakhapatnam.
In Andhra Pradesh, initially, the ESI Scheme was implemented centre wise with just 4 centres - Vijayawada, Guntur, Eluru and Vishakhapatnam - w.e.f. 09.10.1955. The scheme was gradually extended to 136 centres.
Presently, the scheme is in force in 663 mandals of Andhra Pradesh with over 42,880 Employers, 12,90,051 IPs and 43,39,208 Beneficiaries. The ESI scheme is administered through one regional office, two sub-regional offices
and 22 branch offices.
Medical services to the beneficiaries are being provided through four ESIS hospitals, three Diagnostic Centres, 78 ESIS dispensaries, 79 panel clinics and mobile dispensaries in 34 centres.
For providing secondary care and super speciality treatment, tie-up arrangements have been made with 38 private hospitals in all districts and at important centres.
Gummanur Jayaram, Minister for Labour and Employment, Training &amp; Factories, Andhra Pradesh assured full cooperation of the state in running the upcoming hospital.
The project is expected to be completed in two years. After construction of this ESIC hospital, the same will be handed over to the state for running it. KKS BAL

About 78 per cent of companies in a survey admit that hiring and retaining has become more difficult compared to the previous year, according to 'The 2020 Talent <keyword id="8502190" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="technology-outlook">Technology Outlook</keyword>' study by research-backed innovative talent solution provider SCIKEY. Longer time to hire, increasing number of dropouts and attrition that has peaked beyond 22 per cent indicate that hiring has not just become expensive and difficult, but also the inability to attract right talent is impacting the business, the study showed.
 About 68 per cent of employees are partially or fully disengaged, leading to billions of dollars in productivity loss, it said.
 The study also showed that organisations in 2020 will wake up to this reality and see technology going beyond people-intensive hiring to a tech-driven and branding-focused initiative that will attract talent faster.
 Companies will deploy branding and marketing experts to spruce up their image that would strike the right note with their prospective workforce. Social media will start playing even more meaningful role in HR marketing.
 The study is an analysis of inputs from 100-plus C-suite and human capital leaders across four continents, including in India, by SCIKEY, through surveys, social media inputs, interviews and panel discussions.
 Further, it showed that expensive workforce will drive companies to hire more contractual and gig workforce.
 About 54 per cent of the respondents said they will use crowd resources in the next two years for some part of their business, it said.
 Unpredictability with full-time work will move more people to contractual or gig economy and with the availability of talent marketplaces, 2020 will start seeing the shift of employee and employer's mindset, it added. Government posts like Joint Secretary(JS), lower Deputy Secretary(DS) and Director level positions in the Central government, might be soon belong to private sector professionals, if the proposal goes through, The Indian Express reported. Traditionally, candidates who pass out of the three all-India services — IAS, IPS and IFS — were considered for such job roles. The others in running were also from 37 participating services like — railways, income tax, telecom and custom services amongst others. There are a total of 650 posts at the Director level and this move is expected to transition nearly 60% of these jobs— including 400 vacant positions to domain experts, Financial Express reported citing officials from the Department of Personnel &amp; Training. The department is mulling a process to evaluate private sector employees to fill the senior talent pool, it added. The government has been facing talent shortage in top roles. This leaves behind a huge class of citizens that are not benefited by these laws," says Lohit Bhatia, president of workforce management, Quess Corp. EPFO refers to the Employees Provident Fund Organisation. These findings suggest that there is a growing demand for formal employment in India, and that technology is playing a role in helping people make the transition.
