The 1.46-minute teaser of the movie, directed by Om Raut of "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" fame, was launched on Sunday in Ayodhya. And the blowback was immediate. Fronted by "Baahubali" star <keyword id="104063" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="prabhas" source="Orion">Prabhas</keyword> who features in the title role as Lord Ram, the multilingual period saga sees <keyword id="333" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="saif-ali-khan" source="Orion">Saif Ali Khan</keyword> play the role of a 10-headed demon king called Lankesh. With a beard, fierce eyes and a buzz cut, this Lankesh seems barbarism personified and many called out the filmmakers for the apparent Islamisation of Ravana. The portrayal of Hanuman, with a beard, without a moustache and dressed in leather, also attracted criticism. As hashtags like #BoycottAdipurush and #BanAdipurush gained speed, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra on Tuesday warned the makers of the film of legal action if scenes showing Hindu religious figures in the "wrong" way were not removed. "I have seen the teaser of 'Adipurush'. There are objectionable scenes in it," Mishra, who is also the spokesperson of the state government, told reporters in Bhopal. The dresses and look of Hindu deities as seen in the trailer were not acceptable, he said. "Hanuman ji is shown wearing leather, whereas the description (in the scriptures) of the deity's costume is different... These are scenes that hurt religious sentiments. I am writing a letter to Om Raut to remove all such scenes from the film. If not removed, we will consider legal action," Mishra said. Echoing the minister's sentiments, a Twitter user wrote, "Ram and lakshamna wore khadau not leather shoes like the desert civilization people did. Nonsense movie." Director Raut said he is "disheartened" by the reaction to the teaser. "I was disheartened but not surprised because the film is made for a larger medium. You can cut it down to some extent, but can't bring it down to a mobile phone, that's an environment I can't control. "If given a choice, I had never put it on YouTube but that's the need of the hour. We need to put it there so that it reaches a wide audience," Raut told reporters at the media preview of film's 3D trailer on Tuesday. Producer Bhushan Kumar was unavailable for comment despite several attempts by PTI to reach out to him. Many on social media said they were appalled over Saif's appearance as a maniacal Lankesh, saying his look was inspired by Mughal rulers. Some said it bore resemblance to Ranveer Singh's portrayal of Alauddin <keyword id="987836" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="khilji" source="Orion">Khilji</keyword> from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film "Padmaavat", which came under attack for caricaturing Khilji, complete with kohl lined eyes and viciously attack a hunk of meat. "The makers should have done more research on Ravana. Saif Ali Khan's expressions look absolutely pathetic. Ravana was not a psycho. Saif is acting like he is portraying khilji from padmavat. Mythological movies absolutely need better character understanding (sic)," said a Twitter user. "He (Saif) is looking more like Babar or Aurangzeb or Taimur but certainly not Raavan," added another. The VFX, said others, was a huge letdown for a film that reportedly has a budget of ₹ 500 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. A section of social media seemed both amused and disappointed (#disappointed was trending on Twitter) about the quality of its computer-generated imagery. Generally an expensive affair, CGI is used to create fantastical visual effects in films. A specific scene from the teaser where Saif's Lankesh is seen mounted on a bat-like mythical creature with huge flapping wings prompted some people to draw comparisons with "Game of Thrones", the hit American fantasy TV drama famous for its dragons. "Is it just me or do you also notice the pathetic copy of #GameOfThrones that #Adipurush is! The characters are definitely NOT of #Bharat...," said one post. Another scene recalled for some the American blockbuster sci-fi film series "Planet of the Apes". "Copy cat #OmRaut #Adipurush #DisappointingAdipurish," said a user as he put the clips of the promotional materials of the two films. Many shared stills from "Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama", the 1993 animated film which was a Japan-India co-production. Directed by Japanese filmmaker <keyword id="15168281" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="yugo-sako" source="Orion">Yugo Sako</keyword>, it became a favourite of the 1990s generation kids who watched it several times on TV channels during re-runs. "#Adipurush had the golden chance to present us a film on the subject which is dear to everyone but sadly even with the colossal budget and modern technology it couldn't match even 1% of yugo sako's Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama," wrote a Twitter user. This is not the first time Saif has been in trouble for "Adipurush". In an interview to a newspaper in 2020, Saif had said the version of Raavan in "Adipurush" will be "humane". His remarks caused a stir in the not-so-virtual world of social media and the actor issued an apology for his comments, saying it was never his intention to hurt people's sentiments. "I've been made aware that one of my statements during an interview has caused a controversy and hurt people's sentiments. This was never my intention or meant that way. I would like to sincerely apologise to everybody and withdraw my statement," the actor had then said in a statement. People celebrate it by burning effigies of ten-head Ravana, symbolizing burning of evil, greed, etc. However, Ravana is still alive today in various forms. Are they not Ravanas who carry out terror attacks, killing innocent people? Are they not Ravanas who <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=rape">rape</a>? Are they not Ravanas who divide and kill people in the name of religion? They are monsters of the present time and a threat to the mankind. They should be burnt too.

In India, at least 205 of the country’s 640 districts are affected by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=terrorist+">terrorist</a> activities. Terror attacks caused 231 deaths alone in the year 2012 in India, compared to 11,098 terror-caused deaths worldwide, as per report by the State Department of the United States. So burn the effigies of terror groups this Dussehra. 
 2. <keyword id="6416731" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Communalism">Communalism</keyword>: Why do people construct religious or <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ethnic+identity">ethnic identity</a>? Is there any benefit of inciting strife between people of different communities and stimulate communal violence. Why to kill people in the name of religion when it is written nowhere in any religious book to do so. Let’s burn it forever and be united in all odds. 
 3. <keyword id="39493" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Rape">Rape</keyword>: Recently, we were shocked by a spate of rape cases involving young children, one was about 2-year-old and the other was 5-year-old. It has been reported that the number of rape cases in India have been steadily rising over the past decade. This is because more women are coming out to report such incidents, which is a good sign. But why is it happening? Kill it! Burn it! 
 4. <keyword id="84827" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Road-rage">Road rage</keyword>: It can lead to altercations, assaults, and collisions that result into injuries and even deaths. According to a survey by the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Delhi+Traffic+Police">Delhi Traffic Police</a>, the city witnessed a rise in such cases because of the “worsening behaviour” of motorists. It says aggressive driving accounted for 25% of such cases, while continuous flashing of headlights accounted for 27%, persistent honking 25% and verbal insults and rude gestures accounted for 23%. Why are we losing our cool? It is time to think. 
 
5. Female foeticide: According to the 2011 census, the sex ratio in the 0 to 6 age group has increased from 102.4 males per 100 females in 1961, to 104.2 in 1980, to 107.5 in 2001, to 108.9 in 2011. However, it is within the normal range in eastern and southern Indian states, but significantly higher in Punjab, Haryana and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Jammu+%26+Kashmir">Jammu &amp; Kashmir</a>. It is crime to kill a female foetus, however it is continuing. 
 
6. Drug addiction: Around 2 million people use opiates drug and 62.6 million are alcohol users in India, according to a survey in 2004. The number of incidents of drug abuse among children is on rise. It goes beyond alcohol and tobacco, and often also involves <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=cocaine%2C+heroin+and+opium">cocaine, heroin and opium</a>. According to a 2012 survey by the government, boys aged between 15-19, shows that a shocking 28.6% reported tobacco use and 15% were addicted to alcohol. Girls aged 15-19 showed 5.5% used tobacco while 4% were addicted to alcohol. This is alarming! 
 
7. Domestic violence: Domestic abuse includes physical, emotional and sexual violence of any form. According to a National Family and Health survey in 2005, total lifetime prevalence of domestic violence was 33.5% and 8.5% for sexual violence among women aged 15-49. The instance of violence was reported to be lowest among Buddhist and Jain women, while highest among Muslim women in India. 
 8. <keyword id="6357490" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Human-trafficking">Human trafficking</keyword>: People are being illegally trafficked for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation and forced labour. Various NGOs estimate this problem affects 20 to 65 million Indians. Girls are trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced marriages, especially in areas where the sex ratio is low. Children are subjected to forced labour as factory workers, domestic servants, beggars, and agriculture workers, and also used as armed combatants by terrorist and insurgent groups. 
 9. Prostitution: Mumbai and <keyword id="6354925" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kolkata">Kolkata</keyword> have the country's largest brothel based sex industry, with over 100,000 sex workers in Mumbai alone. The Indian law bans the acts of trafficking, procuring, detaining, pimping, lending a premise for carrying on prostitution for running a brothel. However, the law aims to punish the exploiters such as madams, pimps, traffickers, customers, and other partners aiding the exploitative sex trade but not the prostitute. 
 
10. Casteism: A lot of problems in India can be attributed to casteism. Discrimination on the grounds of caste has led to social tremors and stealing someone's rights in a secular country like India. It affects the society by making people more exposed to prejudice, stereotyping and other things. These differences in rankings often cause disputes within the society.

 It is an extravagant celebration year after year that never fails to impress. So sleep late without worrying about office. Get a makeover done at a spa/salon. Chill out with your favourite drink. Play with the cat. Or order yourself a sumptuous dinner. Try all these and more that will make you feel pampered. 
 
Help out: A lot of people out there could really do with a little help. So take the first step and do some volunteer work. Teach the street kids; raise funds for NGO projects or donate a little for a cause close to your heart. Our heart went out to the home-maker who had gone door-to-door and collected old woollens to help street kids fight the Delhi cold. 
 
Go for a drive: Drive slowly – let the journey sink into you. A soak in the rain, sun &amp; dust, a drink of adrak wali chai (ginger tea), a picnic lunch on the grass, an evening stroll under the stars – the to-do list simply gets longer until you are exhausted. But that’s the way to live a life without traps. 
 
Have fun with food: If you are fond of fine-dining, plan things a bit ahead. So that you have enough cash and a cosy corner table to spend some gourmet time at your favourite joint. Otherwise, go cross-country to discover the many traditional foods India has to offer. Better still, dig up the old family recipe book and cook some of the dishes you loved as a kid. They will bring back priceless memories. 
 
Hugs are in, try them: Chuck your smartphone. Go and meet whom you wanted to meet for a long time, but never had the time. No video chat or phone call can replace that warm handshake and the tight hug, some tears and laughter together. That’s the stuff human connects are made of.

Now it will hit the theatres on June 16, 2023. The film stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film is based on the Indian Epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays Lord Ram while Saif stars as the antagonist Lankesh in the movie. The film has been mired in controversy ever since its teaser was unveiled. The teaser courted major backlash over the looks of Saif's fierce Ravana who is shown sporting a beard and a buzz cut. Many people across the country slammed the makers for allegedly hurting their religious sentiments. In fact, a Hindu seers body, Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti, has sought the formation of a Sanatan Censor Board alleging improper depiction of Hindu Gods and Goddesses in Bollywood movies. Mike Mack has stepped down as CEO of the Swiss-based Syngenta. The surprise move comes just two months after Syngenta rejected a $47 billion takeover offer from its US rival Monsanto. CFO John Ramsey will serve as interim CEO. Reports suggest Monsanto could make another takeover attempt now that Mack is out, but Reuters says Ramsey probably won't become a board member and the board isn't expected to change its stance.<a href="https://viking.businessinsider.com/posts/new/us?type=story">Ferrari goes public on Wednesday</a>. The luxury automaker reportedly priced its initial public offering at $52 per share, the upper end of the $48-to-$52 range that was expected. At this pricing, Ferrari raises $890.5 million and is valued at approximately $9.82 billion. The stock will trade under the ticker RACE.<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/imf-regional-economic-outlook-for-the-middle-east-and-central-asia-oil-prices-2015-10?r=UK&amp;IR=T">The IMF warned on the Middle East</a>. The International Monetary Fund's assessment of the Menap region, or the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, is a dire one. According to the IMF, growth will slow to 3.25% this year and 2.75% in 2016. Saudi Arabia, the region's largest economy, and most of the other countries in the region will run out of financial assets in "less than five years" as a result of their ballooning deficits. In the region, only Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates can hold out for longer, according to the IMF. <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/japanese-export-growth-slows-sharply-2015-10">Japan's trade data was worrisome</a>. Japan's trade deficit narrowed to 114.5 billion yen from 569.7 billion yen, missing the expected surplus of 84.4 billion yen ($703 million). The export data was the real worry as growth slowed to just 0.6% compared with last year, well short of the 3.4% growth that was forecast. Imports slid 11.1% year-over-year, slightly outpacing the 11.7% drop that was expected. The Japanese yen is little changed near 120.00. China got hit hard, but most markets are higher. China's Shanghai Composite tumbled 3.1% to lag in Asian trade, while Japan's Nikkei (+1.9%) led. In Europe, Germany's DAX (+0.5%) paces the advance. S&amp;P 500 futures are higher by 8.75 points at 2,029.25.US economic data remains light. Crude-oil inventories will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET. The US 10-year yield is down 2 basis points at 2.04%.The number of companies reporting continues to grow. Baker Hughes, Boeing, Coca-Cola, EMC, and General Motors highlight the names reporting before markets open. American Express, eBay, Las Vegas Sands, and Texas Instruments are among the companies releasing their quarterly results after markets close.
