The first official trailer of M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic based on the life of one of India’s most popular cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni is out, and looks like the leading actor <keyword id="6356062" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sushant-Singh-Rajput">Sushant Singh Rajput</keyword>, who plays the titular role, has left no stone unturned in bringing the cricketer alive on screen. 
 
The Kai Po Che actor looks, walks, talks and hits sixes just like Dhoni, and the fact that he has completely gotten into the character can be seen in every frame of the trailer. 
 
The trailer starts with a young Mahi, thinking whether he should continue his job as a Ticket Collector at Kharagpur railway station, or do something to hone his cricket skills and live his passion. 
 
The movie shows his transformation from a footballer to a cricketer to one of India’s most successful cricket captains, while also throwing light on his struggle, his family, and a little bit of his love life. 
 
The trailer was released last evening, and has already garnered 20 lakh views in less than one day, once again showing why Dhoni is, well, Dhoni.

Mumbai, Mar 18 () The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Wednesday allowed 90 days' extension for the corporate insolvency resolution process of Jet Airways. Jet Airways' resolution professional had last week filed an application in NCLT seeking 90 days' extension for the insolvency process of the grounded airline after it failed to attract any bidder. The NCLT bench, comprising Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma, granted the extension as the Committee of Creditors (CoC) voted for the same, with 70 per cent votes in favour. The CoC had on February 18 set a new deadline of March 10 for submission of bids for the grounded airline after South American conglomerate Synergy Group and New Delhi-based Prudent ARC failed to meet the previous deadline. Later, Synergy Group had backed out of the bidding process over slot issues. The March 10 deadline was set after Russia's Far East Asia Development Fund also evinced interest in Jet Airways. The cash-strapped airline, which was grounded in April 2019, owes more than Rs 8,000 crore to banks, with public sector lenders having significant exposure. The NCLT had on June 20, 2019, admitted the insolvency petition filed by the lenders' consortium led by State Bank of India against Jet Airways. Mumbai, Mar 13 () Jet Airways' resolution professional on Friday filed an application in National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) seeking 90 days extension for the corporate insolvency resolution process of the defunct carrier. On Thursday, the lenders to Jet Airways decided to seek an extension after it failed to attract any potential bidder. The tribunal, comprising Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma, will hear the matter next week. The committee of creditors (CoC) had on February 18 set the new deadline of March 10 for submission of bids for the grounded airline after South American conglomerate Synergy Group and New Delhi-based Prudent ARC failed to meet the deadline. Mumbai, Mar 5 () The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Thursday allowed a government petition seeking to reopen CG Power and Industrial Solutions accounts from 2014-15 to 2018-19.The corporate affairs ministry had filed an application in the NCLT seeking the appointment of an independent auditor to reopen the accounts of CG Power &amp; Industrial Solution from 2014-15 to 2018-19.The ministry in its prayer had said the reopening of the books of accounts is needed to bring out the truth in the larger public interest.The Mumbai-bench -- comprising members Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma -- in its order also directed the government not to rely on the report by Vaish Associates, and asked them to conduct a separate investigation.The tribunal also denied CG Power &amp; Industrial Solution founder Gautam Thapar's plea to grant stay on the order.Earlier in January, the NCLT had quashed the audit report submitted by Vaish Associates, terming it bogus.Thapar was sacked based on this report, which was in fact penned by a rival agency KPMG.Dismissing the Vaish report, the bench had said it would rely only on a report either ordered independently or by a government agency in the matter. NCLT allows MCA's plea to reopen CG Power's accounts

Mumbai, Jan 23 () The Mumbai NCLT on Thursday reserved its order on a plea from the corporate affairs ministry to appoint an independent auditor to restate the accounts of CG Power &amp; Industrial Solution.
 Last month, the tribunal had rejected a plea from the ministry to reopen the books stating that the move was based on a report by an auditor appointed by the company itself.
 Ministry's senior counsel Sanjay Shourie said the reopening of the books of accounts is needed to bring out the truth in the larger public interest. 
 The board of the company had on August 30, 2019, in a mid-night boardroom coup, had sacked the founder Gautam Thapar as its non-executive chairman alleging fraud to the tune of Rs 3,000 crore.
 "We are seeking the right to appoint an independent auditor for reopening of previous accounts of the company," Shourie said.
 Opposing the plea, the counsel representing Thapar said the reopening of accounts may hint at fraud being taken place and could have impact on its share price.
 He said the market regulator Sebi has already appointed an auditor to probe the matter. 
 After hearing the arguments from both the sides, the two-member bench comprising Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma said that it will issue a detailed order later.
 Earlier this month, the NCLT had quashed the audit report submitted by Vaish Associates on the company, terming it as bogus. Thapar was sacked based on this report, which was in fact penned by a rival agency KPMG.

CG Power case: NCLT reserves order on MCA bid to appoint auditor

Mumbai, Jan 8 () The NCLT on Wednesday warned Jet Airways CoC of contempt proceedings if they do not release interim funds to the resolution professional by January 20 for completion of insolvency proceedings.
"We again reiterate and instruct the Committee of Creditors (CoC) to release the interim amount as required by the RP of the grounded airline, so that the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) is completed and the assets of Jet are not devalued," Mumbai-bench of NCLT in its order said.
Further, the bench comprising Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma directed the CoC to at least pay the amount by January 20, or the tribunal will initiate contempt proceedings against the defaulting members.
The tribunal directed the CoC members, who have not honoured the order of the court, to remain present on February 19 - the next date of hearing.
The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) also directed Indian Overseas Bank, which filed applications at the tribunal for exemption from payment as they are under Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) restriction to approach the government authorities concerned in this regard.
This direction came after the resolution professional pointed out that it is under tremendous pressure as many CoC members, in spite of the tribunal's earlier order, have not released funds.
The lenders had in-principle sanctioned Rs 63 crore to the RP. Lead banker SBI and two other banks had reportedly already disbursed their portion of the interim amount.
However, the bench exempted IDBI Bank from releasing these funds as it is under the Reserve Bank of India's PCA framework. The tribunal has also said that Indian Overseas Bank must seek similar exemption.
Meanwhile, the RP submitted its progress report saying that under the fresh expression of interest (EoIs), which was decided on December 17, has received interest from two parties.
The CoC has decided January 15 as the last date of submission of EoIs and February 17 as the last date of submission of resolution plans, he said.
South America's Synergy Group has filed its documents under this fresh EoI, he said, adding the other one is a domestic company, but not in the airline business. SM BAL

Mumbai, Dec 19 () The NCLT on Thursday directed the Committee of Creditors (CoC) of Jet Airways to expedite their decision on seeking fresh EoIs in view of new interest being shown for the grounded airline.
 "We direct the committee of creditors to take a decision to float expression of interest (EoIs). We direct them to expedite the process," the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) said.
 The resolution professional (RP) Ashish Chawcharia requested three weeks time to float the EoI.
 The RP on December 17 had told the tribunal that until now two investors have shown interest in the airline.
 The tribunal, comprising Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma, also urged the South American Synergy Group, which has submitted an EoI, to expedite its decision on Jet Airways.
 The bench told the representative of the Synergy Group, who was present at the hearing, to expedite their due diligence as the 180 days' time period for submission of resolution plan already ended on December 16.
 "We expect the Synergy Group to do their due diligence at a faster pace. Once you have any positive decision put some earnest money deposit to show, which will show positive intention in reviving the defunct airline," the tribunal said.
 The representative of the Synergy Group said the company wants to comply with the tribunal's directions, but it also has to ensure that it takes the right decision on behalf of its stakeholders.
 "We understand the urgency of the matter. However, we will require a little bit more time to arrive at the conclusion that this is the right decision on behalf of the stakeholders," he added.
 He said the company sees a good opportunity in Jet Airways, given some issues are resolved.
 "Some of the criteria that needs to be resolved are that we are looking to float a new company free of all legacy liabilities of the erstwhile Jet Airways. We may want to look at partnering with an Indian partner. We also expect clarity on getting back Jet's airport slots, especially the domestic slots and seek further clarity on the Heathrow, London, slots," the Synergy Group representative told the tribunal.
 The tribunal fixed January 8 as the next date of hearing.
 After Jet Airways went bust in mid-April, the government temporarily allotted the hundreds of airport slots owned by it to other carriers, with an aim to contain soaring airfares in the peak holiday season. SM ABM

 The tribunal kept the matter on alleged financial irregularities at CG Power for further hearing on January 23.
 Based on the Vaish's report, the corporate affairs ministry on November 25 sought to reopen the books of the company for the past five years ending March 2019. But, the NCLT had rejected this petition as well on the December 16.
 Markets regulator Sebi banned Thapar and entities associated with him for three years, following which he moved the Securities Appellate Tribunal, which has asked the company to provide relevant documents to him.
 In November, the SFIO began a probe against CG Power and 15 group entities. Mumbai, Dec 20 () The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Friday approved extension of Jet Airways insolvency resolution period by 90 days.
The Committee of Creditors (CoC) sought extension of corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) of Jet Airways from the Mumbai bench of the NCLT in view of South America's Synergy Group wanting more time for due diligence and two new interests being shown for the grounded airline.
The tribunal, comprising Bhaskara Pantula Mohan and Rajesh Sharma, gave their approval for the extension of time as the 180 days deadline for CIRP period of the grounded airline had ended on December 16.
On Thursday, Synergy Group Jet Airways' sole potential bidder had sought more time to take a decision on investing in the grounded airline.
After being asked to expedite their decision, the representative of the Synergy Group had said the company wants to comply with the tribunal's directions, but it also has to ensure that it takes the right decision on behalf of its stakeholders.
"We understand the urgency of the matter. However, we will require a little bit more time to arrive at the conclusion that this is the right decision on behalf of the stakeholders," he added.
He said the company sees a good opportunity in Jet Airways, given some issues are resolved.
"Some of the criteria that needs to be resolved are that we are looking to float a new company free of all legacy liabilities of the erstwhile Jet Airways. We may want to look at partnering with an Indian partner. We also expect clarity on getting back Jet's airport slots, especially the domestic slots and seek further clarity on Heathrow, London, slots," the Synergy Group representative told the tribunal.
The NCLT on Thursday had also directed the CoC of Jet Airways to expedite their decision on seeking fresh expression of interest (EoIs) in view of new interest being shown for the grounded airline.
"We direct the committee of creditors to take a decision to float EoIs. We direct them to expedite the process," the tribunal said.
The resolution professional (RP), Ashish Chawcharia, requested three weeks time to float the EoI.
The RP on December 17 had told the tribunal that until now two investors have shown interest in the airline.
After Jet Airways went bust in mid-April, the government temporarily allotted the hundreds of airport slots owned by it to other carriers, with an aim to contain soaring airfares in the peak holiday season. SM MKJ

By Lalit K Jha Washington, Apr 21 () An Indian-American nonprofit organisation has collaborated with a group of women physicians to work together in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic as part of their efforts to assist people in distress in the US.Sewa International and South Asian Women Physicians of North America (SAWPNA) will collaborate and work together to respond to the pandemic and do as much as they can to alleviate the problems posed by this coronavirus, they said."Given the nature of this pandemic, and the deep stresses and strains that individuals, communities, cities and states are struggling with, we believe that it is essential, indeed imperative, that we work together to stem the tide of this pandemic, help those who are afflicted to find medical care, and support those who are in some kind of financial or personal distress," the two organisations said in a joint statement.SEWA International so far has raised USD 500,000 and seeks to raise USD 3.5 million to help facilitate this work over the next few months.Its 1,000 plus volunteers over the past six weeks have set up eight helplines to offer information and resources about travel, health, visas and visa status; delivery of masks to first-responders and those on the frontlines, and delivering food, groceries, and medicines to those who need them.It has also helped seniors in the community with medical advice, and delivering grocery/meals; helping international students by connecting them to doctors, foreign consulates for helping them with visa and travel updates; assisting stranded students with accommodation needs and food; and providing consultation with doctors and lawyers to those who need them.Volunteers from SEWA have also been making and delivering masks; and raising funds to buy essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help those in distress.SAWPNA, a unique group that brings together South Asian women physicians and women physician-scientists together, will offer key information on the nature of the virus, medical response to deal with it and any advances in the research to respond effectively to those who contracted the virus, such as the convalescent blood plasma therapy.In New Jersey-based Sewa4Community, a collective effort of more than 40 organisations, has raised over USD 30,000 in donations for various COVID-19 related relief efforts.So far it has donated USD 23,000 to various food pantries and soup kitchens in New Jersey. Mumbai, Apr 17 () Non-bank financial players have welcomed the Reserve Bank of India's decision to provide Rs 50,000 crore of additional liquidity support to the sector by conducting targeted long term repo operations (TLTRO 2.0). Shadow banking players also hope to get more liquidity support from banks after the RBI reduced the reverse repo rate by 25 basis points to 3.75 per cent from 4 per cent. The RBI on Friday said it will conduct (TLTRO 2.0) for an aggregate amount of Rs 50,000 crore, to begin with, in tranches of appropriate sizes.The funds availed by banks under TLTRO 2.0 should be invested in investment grade bonds, commercial paper, and non-convertible debentures of NBFCs, with at least 50 per cent of the total amount availed going to small and mid-sized non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) and micro-finance institutions (MFIs)."It (TLTRO) is a very-very favourable decision. Now, they (RBI) have specifically allotted (liquidity through TLTRO) to NBFCs, of which 50 per cent will be for small and medium NBFCs. It is a great liquidity support from the RBI," Mahindra and Mahindra Financial vice chairman and managing director Ramesh Iyer told . MFIN's CEO Harsh Shrivastava said the microfinance sector is highly appreciative of RBI for acknowledging the industry concerns and for infusing liquidity of Rs 50,000 crore, a substantial part of which will help the small and medium NBFC MFI's to support the bottom of the pyramid customers.In order to encourage banks to deploy their surplus funds in investments and loans in productive sectors of the economy, the RBI reduced the reverse repo rate to 3.75 per cent. Shriram Transport's managing director and CEO Umesh Revankar, said the decision to cut the reverse repo rate by 25 bps will encourage banks to look for lending opportunities. "We would appreciate it if banks reciprocate positively to NBFCs request on moratorium to manage cash flow smoothly," Revankar said.The RBI, on March 27, had permitted all lending institutions (LIs) to grant a moratorium of three months on payment of current dues falling between March 1 and May 31, 2020.On Friday, the RBI said in respect of all accounts for which lending institutions decide to grant moratorium or deferment, and which were standard as on March 1, 2020, the 90-day NPA norm shall exclude the moratorium period,"There would be an asset classification standstill for all such accounts from March 1, 2020 to May 31, 2020," it said.It also allowed NBFC players to extend the date for commencement for commercial operations (DCCO) for loans given commercial real estate by additional one year without considering it as restructuring."The 90 day NPA norm won't be applicable to loans where the moratorium is granted. This along with a one year extension on loans given to the real estate sector will help preserve asset quality," Centrum Group executive chairman Jaspal Bindra said. The central bank announced to provide special refinance facilities for a total amount of Rs 50,000 crore to Nabard, Sidbi and NHB to enable them to meet sectoral credit needs."The special refinance facilities of Rs. 50,000 crore to NHB, Sidbi and Nabard will help meet credit needs of MSME sector and housing finance which has been severely affected by Covid-19," Capri Global Capital's managing director, Rajesh Sharma said.
