In the recent trailer of his upcoming movie <keyword id="171884" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="airlift">Airlift</keyword>, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/topic/Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</a> can be seen talking about world’s biggest human evacuation, which lasted from August to October 1990, making it a promising edge-of-the-seat thriller. 
 The movie is based on the true story of how Air India carried out the operation of evacuating more than 1 lakh Indian expatriates from Kuwait after it got invaded by Iraq. It has been directed by <keyword id="2495108" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Raja-Krishna-Menon">Raja Krishna Menon</keyword>, and stars <keyword id="2823" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Akshay-Kumar">Akshay Kumar</keyword> and <keyword id="6366186" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Nimrat-Kaur">Nimrat Kaur</keyword> in the lead roles. 
 
Akshay plays Ranjit Katyal, a successful businessman based in Kuwait, who identifies himself as a Kuwaiti and not an Indian. His life is brought upside down when Iraq invades Kuwait and he, along with hundreds of thousands of Indians based in Kuwait, is forced to flee the country. His only hope comes in the form of the country that he himself had forgotten. 
 The film has been helmed by the makers of thrillers like D-day and Baby, making it a must-watch for those who are interested in <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> thrillers, and Akshay Kumar, with his expertise in such roles, is yet another reason to look out for this movie.

From Ishaan Khatter-starrer '<keyword id="632110" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="Pippa" source="Orion">Pippa</keyword>', to inspiring tale '<keyword id="1968022" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ghoomer" source="Orion">Ghoomer</keyword>' featuring Abhishek Bachchan, here is a list of five titles on various OTT platforms that have caught the attention of this week. <keyword id="9657892" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="valatty" source="Orion">Valatty</keyword> A tale of tails, 'Valatty' is a Malayalam adventure comedy drama written and directed by Devan Jayakumar. It stars the voices of Roshan Mathew, Raveena Ravi, Soubin Shahir, Sunny Wayne, Saiju Kurup, and Aju Varghese. The makers have used real dogs as actors without VFX in the movie. It will be streaming from November 7 on Disney+Hotstar in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Vigilante The Korean series 'Vigilante' stars Nam Joo-hyuk, Yoo Ji-tae, Lee Joon-hyuk, and Kim So-jin. Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Gyu-sam, it follows a model student from the police academy who protects the law during the day, but at night lives as a 'vigilante' and dispenses justice to criminals who evade the law. It will release on Disney+Hotstar on November 8. Pippa Ishaan Khatter-starrer war film 'Pippa' is a thrilling narrative of a landmark moment in history, the 'Battle of Garibpur', during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971, that was pivotal in Bangladesh's struggle for independence. The film features Ishaan as the real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta along with Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles. The movie is based on the book 'The Burning Chaffees' by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The film is written by Menon, Tanmay Mohan, and Ravinder Randhawa. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the banner of RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur's Roy Kapur Films, and directed by Raja Krishna Menon, it will release on Prime Video on November 10. Ghoomer With an inspiring storyline, the movie features a stellar cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Saiyami Kher, Angad Bedi and a special appearance by Amitabh Bachchan. Helmed by R Balki, Ghoomer is produced by Hope Film Makers and Saraswati Entertainment. It is an emotional story with multiple layers. In 'Ghoomer,' Saiyami plays Anina Dixit, a talented cricketer whose dreams are shattered by a tragic accident leading to the loss of her right arm. Paddy (played by Abhishek), a former test cricketer, becomes her coach and helps her become the first-ever one-armed spinner, propelling her to play for the Indian National Team. The coach gives her new hope, trains her with unconventional techniques and invents a Ghoomer bowling style to turn her fate around. 'Ghoomer' shows how people can win over tough times and get another shot at success beating all odds. It will release on Zee5 on November 10. Wynonna season 1 It follows the story of Wyatt Earp's great-great-granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures. With her unique abilities and a posse of dysfunctional allies, she's the only one who can bring the paranormal to justice. The first season centres on Wynonna fighting the revenants who kidnapped her older sister Willa from their homestead when they were girls and the threat posed by Bobo Del Rey, the leader of the local revenants. It will be released in Hindi on MX Player on November 15.

Raja Krishna Menon could have never made this blockbuster, had the evacuation not been there in the coveted Guinness World Records. 
	 
	So how did <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Air-India-wants-Rs-4270-crore-sanctioned-in-Budget-2016-as-growth-plan/articleshow/50603877.cms">Air India</a> manage to get into the <keyword id="3567" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Guinness-Book-of-World-Records">Guinness Book of World Records</keyword>? 
	 “Since it wasn't the era of Google which enables one to source information easily, I walked from my office in <keyword id="2573" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Air-India">Air India</keyword> building to the book store in Eros cinema complex near Churchgate in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Rs-5600-crore-NSEL-scam-set-their-bets-on-FTIL-and-NSEL-merger-as-their-last-ray-of-hope/articleshow/50281052.cms">Mumbai</a>; picked up a copy of the Guinness Book of World Records to access the address of the editor or the publisher of Guinness book. Armed with the address, I posted (email did not exist then!) a letter to Guinness Editor enquiring if any record of evacuation by a civil airliner existed?” says Jitendra Bhargava, retired executive director of Air India, who was heading the Public Relations Department of the carrier back in the 1990. 
	 
	A fortnight later, he received a reply from the office of Guinness Book of World Records that they had no such record in their book. “In the meantime, evacuation continued at a brisk pace with Air India deploying as many aircraft as possible and Indian Airlines and Indian Air Force extending a helping hand with their aircraft to bolster capacity to meet the growing demand. After the evacuation operation was completed, I sent a comprehensive letter to Guinness providing details of total number of passengers carried, flights operated, duration of the entire exercise along with other details,” he recalls. 
	 
	A few days later, Guinness accepted the record and informed the airline about its decision to list Air India through a letter. “It was only after a few months that the new edition of the Guinness Book of World Records was published with Air India's achievement duly listed,” he says. 
	 
	But how did the airline keep a record of the number evacuated from Kuwait? Bhargava recollected that as the head of the PR department of the airline, he had been busy sharing press releases with the media on the number of people evacuated, flights operated on a daily basis to the flights operation schedule among other information. “It struck me after about 20 odd days, by which time only about a third of the total had been evacuated, whether we had in the process created a record,” he says. 
	 
	After the new edition of the Guinness World Records hit the stands a few weeks later, Bhargava walked down to the same book store to buy a copy of the book for the airline’s archives. 
	 
	Well, we are glad that he got in touch with Guinness and helped the airline make history. Lest, we mere mortals would have never know how our now cash-strapped national carrier was a true blue hero in one of the biggest crisis that shaped the present-day India!
