Filmmaker <keyword id="19943427" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Aanand-L-Rai" source="keywords">Aanand L Rai</keyword> has revealed that he had approached superstar <keyword id="19901647" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Salman-Khan" source="keywords">Salman Khan</keyword> for "<keyword id="20376276" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zero" source="keywords">Zero</keyword>" when the film was in the scripting stage but they both eventually got busy with other projects and the conversation didn't go further. Rai, known for films such as "<keyword id="20216018" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Raanjhanaa" source="keywords">Raanjhanaa</keyword>" and "<keyword id="20905019" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tanu-Weds-Manu" source="keywords">Tanu Weds Manu</keyword>", started working on "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" while Salman got busy with another film. Salman's contemporary and superstar <keyword id="19895142" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shah-Rukh-Khan" source="keywords">Shah Rukh Khan</keyword> eventually starred in "Zero", which followed the story of a vertically challenged man. "I had met him (Salman), I was working on it (script). At that time I had not finished writing the story. This happened after 'Raanjhanaa'. I had met him just like that and I told him, 'Aisi ek duniya hai (describing the world of 'Zero') ek duniya describe ki thi', and he liked it. "Then I started working on 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'. The story (of 'Zero') also changed but I couldn't go to him again. The day I have an opportunity, I'll go to him. I really want to work with Salman," the filmmaker told PTI in an interview on the green carpet of the <keyword id="22837524" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="IIFA-Awards-2024" source="keywords">IIFA Awards 2024</keyword> here. The director described Salman as a "great actor and sensitive person". "A sensitive person can switch easily between genres. So, it's up to us (filmmakers) now what kind of story I offer him," he said. Salman, however, featured in "Zero" in a cameo in the song "<keyword id="23371737" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Issaqbaazi" source="keywords">Issaqbaazi</keyword>" in which he shook a leg with Shah Rukh, his co-star in films such as "Karan Arjun" and "Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam". Shah Rukh Khan-starred 'Zero' was initially offered to Salman Khan, reveals Aanand L Rai

Los Angeles, <keyword id="6358373" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dhanush">Dhanush</keyword>, known for movies such as "Aadukalam" and "Raanjhanaa", is set to make his debut in <keyword id="2370" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="hollywood">Hollywood</keyword> as the actor has joined the cast of Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans-starrer "The Gray Man". The movie, set up at <keyword id="128682" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Netflix">Netflix</keyword> by filmmaker duo Anthony and <keyword id="2104793" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Joe-Russo">Joe Russo</keyword>, is based on Mark Greaney's 2009 novel of the same name and revolves around freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry (Gosling). It follows Gentry as he is hunted across the world by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former member of Gentry's CIA team. Dhanush joins the cast along with "Narcos" star <keyword id="1785164" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Wagner-Moura">Wagner Moura</keyword>, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" child actor Julia Butters and "Game of Thrones" alum Jessica Henwick, Netflix said in a post on Twitter. The details of their characters have been kept under wraps. "The Gray Man" will also feature actor Ana de Armas in a pivotal role. Netflix aims is to create a new franchise with a James Bond level of scale and a budget upward of USD 200 million. Anthony and Joe Russo will be producing the project through their AGBO banner. Joe Russo wrote the script, with "Avengers: Endgame" screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely polishing the final draft. AGBO's Mike Larocca, along with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for <keyword id="10454575" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="roth-kirschenbaum">Roth Kirschenbaum</keyword>, are also on board as producers. The makers are planning to start the filming in January in Los Angeles while international locations are still being finalised. Dhanush has previously featured in 2018's English-language movie "The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir", directed by Ken Scott. He is currently working on filmmaker Aanad L Rai's "Atrangi Re", opposite Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. Dhanush goes Hollywood again — the makers of Avenger cast the Indian actor alongside Captain America in "The Gray Man"

This is why he has never banked on casting just superstars, but only good talent in his films, making several names like Deepak Dobriyal, Swara Bhaskar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub famous with their roles and acting skills. 
 
However, this doesn’t mean that the man would never take a huge superstar in any of his movie, which is why he has now announced casting the king of Bollywood, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Shah-Rukhs-just-got-sued/articleshow/51224833.cms">Shah Rukh Khan</a>, in his next movie. 
 
Not only this, Rai has also confirmed that Khan would be playing a dwarf in the movie, something which no mainstream actor has done in Bollywood in a long time. What comes to mind when we think of Bollywood actor playing a dwarf is when Kamal Haasan played one in the 1989 movie Appu Raja, for which he received a lot of critical acclaim. 
 
"He is a gutsy actor. He always takes challenges. It is a delight to have him in the film. We both have liking for each other. We want to work together and we are on that process. Shah Rukh is a very intelligent man. He makes you feel so important and responsible so it is fun to work with him. He was very happy to hear the story," Rai told PTI. 
 
Rai also said that the movie would be high on romance and songs, since it would be foolish on his part to have the king of romance in his movie and not make him romance his leading lady, the actress for which is yet to be finalised. It is the third part of the franchise that started with Koi Mil…Gaya. Ironically, the reasons that make Ram Leela a hotly discussed flick could be the ones that may lead to its failure. So far, we love what director <keyword id="6358308" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="sanjay-leela-bhansali">Sanjay Leela Bhansali</keyword> has featured in the trailer, as well as the songs of the movie. Made on a budget of Rs 35 crore, the magnitude of this film is immense, the canvas is vibrant and the protagonists are two most good-looking people (<keyword id="598" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Deepika-Padukone">Deepika Padukone</keyword> and <keyword id="106133" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Ranveer-Singh">Ranveer Singh</keyword>) with a sizzling chemistry. On the flip side, we still remember Saawariya (Ranbir Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor starrer) and Guzaarish (Hrithik <keyword id="1903405" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="Roshan-Aishwarya-Rai-Bachchan">Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan</keyword> starrer), both directed by SLB. Well, one turned out to be a dud and the other was appreciated only by the critics. So this time, we are just keeping our fingers crossed for Ram Leela. 
 
Gori Tere Pyaar Mein Last time when <keyword id="2165" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Kareena-Kapoor">Kareena Kapoor</keyword> and <keyword id="14676" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Imran-Khan">Imran Khan</keyword> came together, the audience didn’t have much fun watching the rom com, Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu. Will they be able to impress this time around, with this <keyword id="3778" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Karan-Johar">Karan Johar</keyword> production? The trailer failed to create a stir. But then, it’s a relatively small-budget movie and it doesn’t look like a big deal to recover the money, considering Kareena is in the lead role. Now we just hope that her marital status won’t become an obstacle.

The last movie release of the year and we can’t think of a reason why Dhoom 3 won’t shine at the box office. The track record of the Dhoom series has been good. And the third installment has added attractions like <keyword id="6355923" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Aamir-Khan">Aamir Khan</keyword> in the first ever negative role and <keyword id="6354850" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Katrina-Kaif">Katrina Kaif</keyword> kicking some ass in the lead. Riding on a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore, we just hope Dhoom 3 ends the year with some fireworks.

To date, she has several laudable performances to her credit, including her most memorable role of Debbie in Rock On, the role that won her Filmfare Best Actress (Critics) award, a first for any supporting actress.
