On Friday, RBL Bank’s shares ended the day lower by nearly 3%. One of the issues that has been repeated elsewhere is concerns about the asset quality of the bank – the gross non-performing assets (Gross NPA) ratio rose to 5.4% in the September quarter from 3.34% in the year before. Earlier this year, RBI had approved Vishwavir Ahuja’s extension as the bank’s CEO till June, 2022. The two are yet to comment on the matter and investors must take these unconfirmed reports with a handful of salt. The bank has the full support of the RBI,” he said. In the September quarter, RBL posted a net profit of ₹30 crore as against a loss of ₹459 crore in the quarter before. This, the bank says, was due to an increase in provisions for the June quarter. Beyond the profits, RBL Bank’s fundamentals remain strong. Its liquidity coverage ratio stood at 155%, as against the 100% mandated by RBI. This means that in the short-term, the bank has enough cash to meet its obligations. RBL Bank’s credit card business – which constitutes 22% of the company’s total loan portfolio – has been a fast growing segment for the company. In fact, one broking firm, B&amp;K Research, recently argued that RBL’s credit card business is performing better than SBI Card, the country’s <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/finance/banks/news/heres-why-axis-bank-may-be-willing-to-pay-2-billion-to-buy-citis-india-ops/articleshow/88407858.cms">second largest credit card issuer</a>. RBL Bank RBL Bank in a BSE filing told investors that the Bank MD and CEO Vishwavir Ahuja sold nearly 18,92,900 shares on August 27-28 for ₹38.52 crore. The Bank said Ahuja sold his shares to service personal debt obligation and to meet some family commitments. The shares of RBL Bank ended nearly 5% higher on Friday. Inox Wind Inox Wind on Friday reported a net loss of ₹73 crore for the quarter ended June 30. The company’s revenue from operations fell to ₹97 crore from ₹260 crore in the same quarter last year. According to a recent report by HDFC Securities, Maruti Suzuki is expected to gradually regain their lost market share with its healthy utility vehicle (UV) pipeline. The brokerage firm has advised investors to add more stocks of Maruti Suzuki to their portfolio, keeping a target price of ₹8,412. “A gradual recovery in the economy is expected to restore discretionary consumption for the middle to low income class and Maruti Suzuki is expected to be the key beneficiary,” the report added. Maruti Suzuki — one of the biggest automobile manufacturers in India that produced Alto, WagonR, Swift and others — had a market share of nearly half to almost 97% in almost all segments of passenger vehicles. However, its limited presence in the sport utility vehicle (SUV) segment — and the growing interest in this segment — ate into its total market share. The company only has 12% penetration in the SUV segment, which pulled down its total market share to 43% in FY2022. The company’s market share stood at 53.16% in FY2020 and 51% in FY2021, once again representing a drop in annual basis. "Even as the number of cards issued by SBI and ICICI Bank have been largely similar, clearly ICICI Bank has seen higher credit card spends ahead of the festive season due to a better quality of customers that made higher-value transactions per card, compared to SBI customers,” he said. ICICI Bank leaves SBI behind in credit card spends as it chases HDFC Bank in pole position

Multi-business company <keyword id="6357073" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="itc" source="Orion">ITC</keyword> Ltd on Tuesday said it has commissioned a 14.9 MW <keyword id="59444" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="solar-power-plant" source="Orion">solar power plant</keyword> in Dindigul, <keyword id="20154" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tamil-nadu" source="Orion">Tamil Nadu</keyword>. According to the company, the 14.9 MW <keyword id="70990" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="solar-power" source="Orion">solar power</keyword> plant was built at an outlay of Rs 76 crore thereby meeting 90 per cent of the company's power needs in Tamil Nadu from renewable sources. ITC plans to meet 100 per cent of the entire grid electricity requirements from renewable sources by 2030 and contribute meaningfully to combat the threat of climate change, the company said. Spread over 59 acres, the Dindigul solar plant will generate over 22 million units of renewable energy annually for ITC's hotels, food manufacturing plants, paper manufacturing facility, and printing and packaging factories in Tamil Nadu. "At ITC, we have relentlessly pursued a mission for environmental stewardship through a gamut of large-scale endeavours that comprehensively address the threat of climate change. Our large-scale investments in renewable energy assets are an integral part of our low carbon strategy aimed at making a meaningful contribution to a net zero economy," Sanjiv Rangrass, Group Head - ITC Life Sciences &amp; Technology, Central Projects, EHS &amp; Quality Assurance said. ITC's renewable portfolio comprises 138 MW of wind power plants and 14 MW of solar plants with 53MW of additional solar capacity under execution. Currently, projects are also underway in other sources of renewable energy like biomass boilers. The company has made investments of over Rs 1,000 crore in renewable energy assets to date. Renewable energy powers 20 factories, nine hotels, and six office buildings of ITC in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana, West Bengal, and Punjab. In 2018, ITC became the first private sector entity to wheel renewable energy across states through the Inter-State Open Access mechanism. Currently, ITC's 46MW Wind power plant in Andhra Pradesh supplies power to over 15 ITC establishments in eight states. This has led to a higher renewable energy utilisation for the company. Besides investing in new renewable energy assets, ITC, as part of its Sustainability 2.0 agenda aims to achieve a 50 per cent reduction in specific emissions and a 30 per cent reduction in specific energy consumption by 2030 over a 2014-15 baseline. Such efforts in decarbonising energy consumption through low-carbon energy solutions will be met through large-scale digitalisation and R&amp;D initiatives, cross-sectoral collaborations, and partnerships. 90% of ITC's power needs in Tamil Nadu will be met through solar energy

The price band for Star Health and Allied Insurance’s IPO was set at ₹870-900 per share. Star Health and Allied Insurance did not receive a great response from investors in the three days of IPO bidding process, between November 30 and December 2. The poor demand for the health insurer’s IPO coincides with the fact that analysts feel that Star Health and Allied Insurance’s IPO is overvalued. Non-institutional investors and employees of the company have skipped the IPO as well, indicated in the subscription figures. The IPO consisted of a fresh issue of shares worth ₹2,000 crore and an offer for sale of 5.83 crore shares by existing promoters and shareholders. The grey market premium (GMP), premium at which investors are comfortable buying the shares before it gets listed on a stock exchange, was at a negative ₹80 on December 10 before the listing. The listing gains of ₹45 per share was below the indications of the grey market premium which stood at ₹80 per share. Post-listing, the market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹586 crore, according to BSE data. The company raised ₹126 crore through the public issue wherein fresh issue was of ₹113 crore and offer for sale of ₹12.53 crore. The shares of HP Adhesives were trading at ₹334, higher by 22% at 10.01 a.m., on December 27. The IPO was open between December 15 and December 17 ⁠and was oversubscribed 20.96 times by investors. HP Adhesives manufactures a wide range of products such as solvent cements, silicone sealants, contact adhesives, white glue, plumbing accessories and manhole covers. The proceeds from the IPO will be used for working capital and capital expenditure at its manufacturing facility in Narangi, Maharashtra and at the additional unit. As of September 30, 2021, the company has a distribution network of 4 depots situated in Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Indore and more than 750 distributors who cater to more than 50,000 dealers in India. In FY21, the company sold its products in 21 countries. The company has delivered a profit of ₹10 crore after incurring a loss of nearly ₹5 crore last year.
