The city-based <keyword id="20208728" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="non-banking-financial-company" source="keywords">non-banking financial company</keyword> had registered a standalone net profit of Rs 111.13 crore, during the corresponding quarter last year. For the financial year ending March 31, 2024, the net profit of the company surged to Rs 571.83 crore, from Rs 388.68 crore a year ago. The standalone total revenue from operations grew to Rs 1,517.50 crore, from Rs 1,234.60 crore in the same period last year. For the financial year ending March 31, 2024, the standalone total income rose to Rs 5,789.57 crore, as against Rs 4,147 crore last financial year. In a statement, the company said it continued to maintain a strong growth momentum in disbursements during FY24, primarily driven by an increase in credit demand, augmented by growth in consumption and increased distribution reach. The company's total Assets under Management (AUM) stood at Rs 25,900 crore in FY24. During the year ending March 31, 2024, the company added over 43 lakh new customers, taking the overall customer base to over 1.40 crore, the statement added. TVS Credit posts 33.43% rise in Q4 PAT at ₹148.29 crore

The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 810.8 crore in the same period a year ago, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 9,616.68 crore as against Rs 8,434.28 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 13.92 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in <keyword id="20028449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Q4" source="keywords">Q4</keyword> FY24 as against 12.70 lakh units in Q4 FY23. Total expenses were higher at Rs 8,427.36 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 7,508.94 crore in the same period a year ago. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, consolidated profit after tax was at Rs 3,742.16 crore as compared to Rs 2,799.9 crore in the previous fiscal. Consolidated revenue from operations for FY24 stood at Rs 37,788.62 crore as compared to Rs 34,158.38 crore in FY23, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 56.21 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in FY24 as compared to 53.29 lakh units in FY23. "During the year, our focus on product launches, network upgrades and customer satisfaction drove us to new heights. From the highest number of product launches to the expansion of new format retail outlets and upgrade at super speed, to a digital-first approach in premium, we set the building blocks in place for accelerated growth in future," Hero MotoCorp Chief Executive Officer Niranjan Gupta said. On the outlook, he said, "Moving forward, we expect the macroeconomic factors to aid the industry's growth. With commodity prices remaining stable, expectations of normal monsoons, and government spending expected to increase, we see multiple tailwinds for the sector over the upcoming quarters." Gupta further said the company will be driving market share gains on the back of launches in the premium and 125 cc segment done in FY 24. The company's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 40 per share on the face value of Rs 2 per equity share subject to approval of the shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting, the filing added. "This dividend together with an interim and special dividend, marking the centennial year of Chairman Emeritus Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal of Rs.100 per equity share, takes the aggregate total dividend for the year 2023-24 to Rs 140 per equity share," the company said. Hero MotoCorp Q4 PAT up 16.7% at ₹943.46 crore

The company posted a consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 285.86 crore in the same quarter last year. For the full 2023-24 fiscal, its PAT stood at Rs 1,747 crore, which was 36 per cent higher compared to a year ago. Addressing an earnings call on Wednesday, the company's Managing Director Bharat Puri shared that the full-year revenue was underpinned by distribution expansion supply chain and digital initiatives. The company's total income for the quarter under review rose to Rs 2,950.73 crore as against Rs 2,712.07 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing. However, its total expenses also rose to Rs 2,450.87 crore in the January-March period from Rs 2,318,09 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. For the full financial year 2023-24, the company's total income stood at Rs 12,522.64 crore as against Rs 11,848.71 crore in the previous fiscal. Puri informed that the company incurred a loss of nearly Rs 72 crore shown as an exceptional item in the consolidated results released in a regulatory filing on Tuesday evening on account of divestment of its Brazilian subsidiary. Pidilite Industries Q4 profit rises to ₹304 crore

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 5,496.04 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, Tata Motors said in a regulatory filing. Total consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,19,986.31 crore, as compared to Rs 1,05,932.35 crore in the year-ago period. In <keyword id="20028449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Q4" source="keywords">Q4</keyword> FY24, Tata Motors said all three auto businesses delivered strong performance. The company's British arm Jaguar Land Rover had "another record-breaking quarter in Q4 FY24. Revenue for the quarter was 7.9 billion pounds, up 11 per cent versus Q4 FY23", Tata Motors said. JLR's Profit After Tax (PAT) in Q4 was 1.4 billion pounds as against a profit of 259 million pounds in the same quarter a year ago, it added. The Board of Directors have recommended a final dividend of Rs 3 per ordinary share and Rs 3.10 per 'A' ordinary share and a special dividend of Rs 3 per ordinary share and Rs 3.10 per 'A' ordinary share subject to approval by the shareholders. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, consolidated net profit was at Rs 31,806.75 crore as compared to Rs 2,689.87 crore in the previous fiscal, the company said. In FY24, total consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 4,37,927.77 crore as compared to Rs 3,45,966.97 crore in FY23. <keyword id="20430970" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tata-motors-group" source="keywords">Tata Motors Group</keyword> Chief Financial Officer, PB Balaji said in FY24 the Tata Motors Group delivered its highest-ever revenues, profits, and free cash flows. "The India business is now debt-free, and we are on track to become net automotive debt-free on a consolidated basis in FY25. The businesses are executing well on their distinct strategies and therefore, we are confident of sustaining this strong performance in the coming years," he added. JLR's revenues for FY24 were 29 billion pounds, its highest-ever full-year revenue and up 27 per cent compared to the prior year, while PAT for FY24 was 2.6 billion pounds. "We have delivered a record financial performance for the company, generating free cash flow of 2.3 billion pound, enabling us to reduce net debt to 0.7 billion pound," JLR Chief Executive Officer Adrian Mardell said. The foundation of this performance was the sustained global demand for JLR's modern luxury vehicles, led by Range Rover and Defender brands, underpinned by a consistent focus on operational improvement, he added. Tata Commercial Vehicles' Q4 FY24 revenue was at Rs 21,600 crore, while FY24 revenue was Rs 78,800 crore. In Q4 FY24, domestic wholesale commercial vehicles (CV) volumes were 1,04,600 units, lower 7 per cent year-on-year on account of increased pre-buy in Q4 FY23 due to BS6 Phase II transition, the company said. Tata Motors Ltd Executive Director Girish Wagh said the Indian CV industry grew by a modest 2 per cent in volumes during FY24, impacted by a high base effect of FY23, elections held across five states and the announcement of general elections. "Our sharp focus on profitable growth resulted in the CV business recording its highest-ever revenues of Rs 78,800 crore and profits of Rs 6,100 crore in FY24. Going forward, we will intensify our efforts to grow market share, profitably and consistently, in every business segment by delivering more value to customers with innovative products, smarter services and holistic mobility solutions," he added. Tata Passenger Vehicles clocked revenue of Rs 14,400 crore in Q4 while for the full year FY24 it was at Rs 52,400 crore. In Q4, Passenger Vehicle (PV) volumes were at 1,55,600 units, up 14.8 per cent from the year-ago period, supported by new SUV facelifts and multiple power trains, the company said. "Passenger vehicle sales in India set a record in FY24 with over 4.2 million units sold, driven by SUVs (50 per cent of overall sales) and emission-friendly powertrains. Tata Motors recorded its third consecutive year of highest sales volumes with 6 per cent growth in wholesales and 10 per cent in retail sales over FY23," Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Managing Director Shailesh Chandra said. The company sold 73,800 EVs during the year, marking a 48 per cent increase as compared to FY23 and crossed a milestone of 1.5 lakh cumulative EV production, he added. Tata Motors Q4 consolidated net profit jumps over 3-fold at ₹17,528.59 crore

New Delhi: As the earnings season for the second quarter of FY25 unfolds, <keyword id="19959986" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="public-sector-banks" source="keywords">public sector banks</keyword> (PSBs) are expected to see a slight dip in profits compared to the previous quarter, according to a report by <keyword id="19896146" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="Motilal-Oswal" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Motilal Oswal" meta.hostid="153" meta.entityid="Motilal Oswal">Motilal Oswal</keyword>. The report estimates that PSBs' Profit After Tax (PAT) will decline by 0.6 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), while showing a stronger year-on-year (YoY) growth of 17.2 per cent. "We estimate PSBs to report moderate <keyword id="19899597" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="earnings-growth" source="keywords">earnings growth</keyword> of 17.2 pc YoY/ a decline of 0.6 pc QoQ in 2QFY25," the report stated. The slower pace of growth can be attributed to flat net interest margins (NIMs) and a slight increase in loan loss provisions (LLP). The <keyword id="20171160" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Net-Interest-Income" source="keywords">Net Interest Income</keyword> (NII) for PSBs is expected to grow by around 6 per cent YoY, although interest margins are likely to remain under pressure. Despite these near-term challenges, the report suggests that public sector banks are on track to post a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15 per cent between FY24 and FY26, pointing to sustained long-term growth. In the private sector banking space, the report forecasts mixed results for the same quarter. For private banks under the coverage, Pre-Provision Operating Profit (PPoP) is expected to grow by 12 per cent YoY and 1 per cent QoQ. However, PAT growth is predicted to be more modest, increasing by 5 per cent YoY and 0.6 per cent QoQ. "For our private bank coverage universe, we estimate a PPoP growth of 12 pc YoY/1 pc QoQ and a PAT growth of 5 pc YoY/0.6 pc QoQ in 2QFY25," the report added. Looking ahead, private sector banks are expected to experience steady profitability growth, with earnings projected to grow at a CAGR of 12.4 per cent over FY24-FY26. Overall, while both public and private sector banks may face moderate growth in the second quarter due to margin pressures and higher provisions, their long-term earnings prospects remain positive. It had clocked Rs 88.34 crore profit after tax (PAT) during the fourth quarter of the last fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing on Wednesday. The company's total income rose to Rs 149.28 crore, from Rs 129.58 crore in January-March FY23. During the period under review, its expenses stood at Rs 22.65 crore, as against Rs 19.52 crore a year ago. In FY24, the consolidated PAT rose 14.7 per cent to Rs 350.78 crore, from Rs 305.88 crore in FY23. Income for the full year was at Rs 550.84 crore, up from Rs 474.10 crore. The Board of Directors of the company announced a final dividend of Rs 1.50 for FY24. Sharing business updates, IEX said 110.1 billion units of electricity traded on its platform during the fiscal year 2023-24, registering a year-on-year (y-o-y) increase of 13.7 per cent. The DAM (day-ahead market) prices on the exchange declined to Rs 5.24/unit in FY24, lower by 12 per cent y-o-y compared with Rs 5.94/unit in FY23. During <keyword id="20028449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Q4" source="keywords">Q4</keyword> FY24, IEX achieved 30.1 BU volume across all segments, registering an increase of 15.5 per cent on y-o-y basis. This volume comprises 25.9 BU from the conventional power market segment, 1 BU from the green market segment, and 32.48 lac Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) (equivalent to 3.2 BU). REC traded volume in the fourth quarter of 2023-24 increased by 98 per cent on y-o-y basis. The DAM prices on the exchange lowered to Rs 4.89/unit in January-March 2024, a decline of 20 per cent y-o-y compared with Rs 6.08/unit a year ago. IEX Q4 net profit grows 9.5% to ₹97 crore

"At Rs 1,189 crore, growing 31 per cent YoY (year-on-year), the company reported its highest ever and 19th consecutive quarter of PAT growth on the back of strong operational performance and execution excellence across all its businesses of generation, transmission &amp; distribution, and renewables," Tata Power said in a statement. According to the statement, these businesses contributed 84 per cent of the PAT (net profit) in Q1FY25, compared to 72 per cent in the same period in FY24. The statement showed that the consolidated net profit before exceptional items was Rs 906 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2023. The company's revenue rose 12 per cent YoY to a record high of Rs 16,810 crore (from Rs 15,003 crore in Q1 FY24), and EBITDA grew 11 per cent to Rs 3,350 crore in the reported quarter (from Rs 3,005 crore in Q1 FY24). EBITDA refers to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. "All our businesses have grown profitably on the back of operational efficiency, execution excellence, and sustained business momentum," said Praveer Sinha, CEO and Managing Director, Tata Power. He informed that the planned capex for this financial year is Rs 20,000 crore and the company is committed to adopting and leading the new and emerging clean energy technologies, including pumped hydro projects, hydropower projects in Bhutan, and opportunities to develop small modular nuclear reactors as the government policy evolves. The company has recorded a capex investment of Rs 4,000 crore in Q1FY25. It has a clean and green installed capacity of 6.1 GW as of Q1FY25, accounting for 41 per cent of the capacity, with another 5.3 GW under execution. The combined order pipeline for utility-scale EPC and solar rooftop, including group captive, is Rs 15,500 crore. Tata Power is poised to garner 20 per cent market share in the residential rooftop segment on the back of its new solar manufacturing facility and strong pan-India channel partner network, it said. Tata Power net profit up 31% to ₹1,189 crore in June quarter

New Delhi, Business services provider <keyword id="6370333" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Quess-Corp" source="Orion">Quess Corp</keyword> has reported 79 per cent year-on-year jump in profit after tax at Rs 70.95 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, riding on operational efficiencies. The company had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 39.62 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Total revenue of the company grew 11 per cent to Rs 4,748 crore, from Rs 4,273 crore in the year-ago period, a company statement said. "This growth is due to focused efforts over the last few quarters in developing greater automation in our platforms, building operational efficiencies and focusing on high margin businesses," Group CEO Guruprasad Srinivasan said. Srinivasan further said the higher margin platforms, GTS and OAM have delivered a consistent increase in profitability along with improvement in margins over the last few quarters. The listed subsidiary, AllSec has surpassed a market cap of Rs 1,000 crore with a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 23 per cent from the initial investment in 2019, Srinivasan said. "We remain bullish about future growth prospects and our consolidation efforts have started to yield positive results to help us realize non-linear profit growth from our all-weather business model," he added. For the first half of this financial year, the company reported a PAT of Rs 119 crore, up 10 per cent over the same period a year ago. Revenue increased 13 per cent to Rs 9,349 crore in the April-September period of this year, the statement said. Shares of Quess Corp were trading at Rs 439.25 apiece, up 2.82 per cent over the previous close on BSE.

Quess Corp Q2 2023-24 PAT rises 79% to Rs 71 cr

Mumbai, <keyword id="6357096" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra-Mahindra" source="Orion">Mahindra &amp; Mahindra</keyword> (M&amp;M) on Friday said its consolidated profit after tax grew 6 per cent to Rs 2,348 crore in September quarter 2023-24. The Mumbai-headquartered company had posted a PAT of Rs 2,209 crore in the July-September period of last fiscal, M&amp;M said in a statement. Revenue grew 15 per cent year-on-year to Rs 34,436 crore in the second quarter this fiscal, it added. The company said it witnessed robust performance across all businesses except Tech <keyword id="45224" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra" source="Orion">Mahindra</keyword> which was impacted by weak demand and exits from non core accounts. "During second quarter, operating performance across auto, farm and services was robust. Auto rapidly grew to double its operating profit. Farm continues to be resilient despite tough market conditions," M&amp;M Managing Director &amp; CEO Anish Shah said in a regulatory filing. Tech Mahindra had a tough quarter, the company is now initiating the transformation journey in the business, he added. In the automotive sector, the company said its revenue grew 20 per cent year-on-year to Rs 18,869 crore in the September quarter. "We delivered yet another robust performance in this quarter. We have maintained our SUV revenue market share at 19.9 per cent while further improving our auto standalone PBIT margins," M&amp;M Executive Director &amp; CEO (Auto and Farm Sector) Rajesh Jejurikar said. In the tractor business, the company increased its market share by 150 basis points on the back of new launches of Oja, Swaraj Target and Naya Swaraj, he added. In volume terms, the company said it sold 2,12,078 vehicles in the quarter under review, as compared to 1,79,673 vehicles in the year-ago period, a growth of 18 per cent. Tractor sales were at 89,101 units in the quarter under review, as compared with 92,590 units in the same period a year ago, down 4 per cent. On a standalone basis, the company said its PAT grew by 67 per cent to Rs 3,452 crore in the second quarter as compared with Rs 2,068 crore in the same period last year. Shares of the company were trading 1.84 per cent down at Rs 1,524.60 apiece on the BSE.

Mahindra Q2 2023-24 PAT up 6% at Rs 2,348 cr

The company had posted a consolidated PAT of Rs 2,637 crore in the January-March quarter of the 2022-23 fiscal, <keyword id="19981454" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mm" source="keywords">M&amp;M</keyword> said in a regulatory filing. <keyword id="19945274" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="revenue" source="keywords">Revenue</keyword> increased to Rs 35,452 crore in the fourth quarter, registering a growth of 9 per cent, as compared to Rs 32,456 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. For the year full year ended March 31, the company posted a consolidated <keyword id="19942166" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="net-profit" source="keywords">net profit</keyword> of Rs 11,269 crore as against Rs 9,025 crore in FY23, an increase of 25 per cent. Revenue rose 15 per cent to Rs 1,39,078 crore in the last fiscal as compared with Rs 1,21,362 crore in FY23. "It has been an excellent year with most of our businesses delivering a high level of performance. Auto continued its high growth trajectory, Farm gained share in a tough market and <keyword id="20085620" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra-Finance" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="Mahindra Finance" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="Mahindra Finance">Mahindra Finance</keyword> delivered on asset quality," M&amp;M Managing Director &amp; CEO Anish Shah said. TechM was a weak spot, the turnaround has commenced with the new organisation in place, he added. The company said its board has approved a dividend of Rs 21.10 per share of the face value of Rs 5 each. Shares of the company were trading flat at Rs 2,302.80 apiece on the BSE.

Mahindra Q4 net profit rises 4% to Rs 2,754 crore; Revenue at Rs 35,452 crore

New Delhi, <keyword id="45473" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra-Holidays" source="Orion">Mahindra Holidays</keyword> &amp; Resorts India Ltd on Monday reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 21.43 crore for the second quarter ended September 2023. The company had reported a consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 41.4 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year, according to a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations during the July-September quarter stood at Rs 655.27 crore, as against Rs 598.36 crore in the year-ago period, it said. The company's total expenditure also rose to Rs 636.32 crore, from Rs 574.65 crore a year ago.

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts' consolidated PAT almost halves in Q2 2023-24

Commercial vehicle maker <keyword id="6357085" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="ashok-leyland" source="Orion">Ashok Leyland</keyword> on Thursday said its profit after tax nearly tripled to Rs 561 crore in September quarter 2023-24. In the year-ago period, the PAT was Rs 199.31 crore. Revenues during the quarter under review rose to Rs 9,638 crore from Rs 8,266 crore in the second quarter of FY23, the company said in a statement. It said EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation) for the quarter was Rs 1,080 crore as against Rs 537 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY23. Net debt stood at Rs 1,139 crore at the end of the second quarter, it said. The domestic medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCV) sales stood at 29,947 units, up 18% from the second quarter of the previous fiscal, which is in line with industry growth. Light commercial vehicle (LCV) volume was at 16,998 units compared to 17,040 LCVs sold in the same period last year, Ashok Leyland said. Export volumes for the quarter (MHCV &amp; LCV) were 4% higher at 2,901 units from the year-ago period despite multiple socio-political challenges across the globe. The company said while its overall MHCV MS is moving in the right direction, it significantly increased its bus market share, making it the top bus manufacturer in the country. "We have grown and grown profitability. The second half of the year appears to have the twin tailwinds of demand growth and softer commodity prices which should improve the profitability of the industry," Shenu Agarwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ashok Leyland, said. This is the third consecutive quarter of double-digit EBITDA, he said, adding that there is tremendous focus on margin enhancement, network expansion, operational efficiency, cost optimisation and deployment of digital as an enabler for growth and productivity. There is an enhanced thrust to grow all non-MHCV businesses as well and "we expect to see the benefits of all of this in the coming quarters," he added. Further, the company said that its all other businesses posted good growth in the current quarter and added that it expanded its MHCV range by launching new products in tipper, tractor and MAV categories. The focus on expansion of the distribution network continued with further addition of 47 touch points in the quarter, especially in the northern and eastern parts of the country, it said. "We continue to see strong demand in all segments of trucks and passenger vehicles. The industry continues to post strong growth, on the back of strong macroeconomic factors and we are confident that FY24 will see further growth in the second half as well," <keyword id="454707" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="dheeraj-hinduja" source="Orion">Dheeraj Hinduja</keyword>, Executive Chairman of Ashok Leyland, said. While International business globally is challenged owing to the conflicts across the globe, "we are intensifying our expansion strategy in our focus markets of the Middle East, Africa and Asia," he said. The company continues to build its capabilities in alternative energy and shall be soon coming up with some exciting products and solutions, Hinduja added.
