The season of cars and auto launches in India has begun and one of the first to start the celebrations is Volkswagen.  The new car is available in 5 variants. These include 1.2 MPI with an 1,198 CC engine, 5 speed manual gearbox and fuel average of 16.47 KPMPL. 1.5 <keyword id="193659" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="TDI">TDI</keyword>, which has a 1,498 CC diesel engine, 5 speed manual gearbox and mileage of 20.14 KMPL. Other variants are Polo GT TSI, GT TDI and Cross Polo. 
 The starting price of the Polo family is 4.99 lakhs, which goes upto 7.99 lakhs. VW is asking for a great premium for the new generation of Polo, which might not do too well with the customers. The auto market is just bouncing back because of the excellent discounts, which the dealers are giving to car buyers. Amidst this <keyword id="159682" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Volkswagen-India">Volkswagen India</keyword> has launched Polo at higher than expected price. The VW dealers have their task cut out and would have a tough time selling this one for sure.

WD Launches My Cloud Storage Solution In India

If there’s one thing that you can deny about <keyword id="16129" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="HTC">HTC</keyword> is its repeated effort to bring out the best looking devices in the market. The only thing which has led to HTC’s continued downfall has been in relation to its pricing and marketing strategy, which, quite frankly, is no match to the likes of <keyword id="10591" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Samsung">Samsung</keyword> and Sony. 
 
But slowly and gradually, the company is looking to correct its mistakes and redeem itself with products that will suit your needs as well as pockets. This was first seen with the One E8, streamlined version of the One M8 but packing quite a punch for its Rs 34,000 pricing. And now, the company has announced Butterfly 2 smartphone for the South Asian market. The device is expected to be available by early next month across the aforementioned region. 
 The Butterfly series has mostly been known for its big-size devices. Thankfully, the version 2.0 of Butterfly gets a manageable 5 inch display, which sports a 1920x1080p <keyword id="6359987" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="resolution">resolution</keyword>, running on Sense 6 UI over <keyword id="6355645" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="android">Android</keyword> 4.4 KitKat. It packs a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 2 GB RAM and conventional 16/32 GB storage variants, which is expandable as well. There’s no ultrapixel magic on this one, instead you get a 13 MP rear snapper with depth sensor and a 5 MP front shooter for quick selfies. One thing we do like about the Butterfly 2 is its ability to withstand falls and water splashes, and even sudden submerges as well. This feature has been missing on the One M8 but Butterfly 2 has it covered. The phone is loaded with a 2700 mAh battery that should pretty much offer you a day’s usage and continuing its tradition of packing the best audio experience, you get the BoomSound speakers on the Butterfly 2. 
 
There’s a lot going for the Butterfly 2 and we can only hope that HTC doesn’t manage to spoil the party with its out-of-thought pricing. We’ll hear more about the phone’s availability and pricing for India in the coming weeks.

There is 8GB of internal storage available on the smartphone. 
 
The Sony Xperia C3 comes with an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera along with LED flash. As it is a smartphone for the selfie lovers, it also packs in a 5-megapixel front-facing camera along with an LED flash. The word 'selfie' was added to the Oxford English Dictionary last year. 
 Out of the box, the Sony Xperia C3 runs <keyword id="6355645" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="android">Android</keyword> 4.4 (KitKat). It is backed by a 2,500mAh battery. 
 
In India, the company has launched the dual SIM variant that will be available in White, Black, and Mint Color options. Sony Xperia C3 is priced at Rs 23,990 and will be available from September 1, 2014.

Social and smart browsing features are also available in these. As far as the power consumption is concerned the 50-inch model consumes 110 watts and the 55-inch one gobbles 120 watts. Couple of HDMI ports are also available in these TV’s.

These 4K LED TV’s seem like a great offering and one can definitely look at them as a major contender. The R&amp;D of these televisions happens in California, USA. However, the most basic problem with these television in India would be its after sales service. In the world of Samsung’s and Sony’s, who have a great fan following, how will a brand like VU survive? Let’s wait and watch.

NEW DELHI: <keyword id="210527" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Renault-India">Renault India</keyword> on Wednesday launched the <keyword id="6865140" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Duster">Duster</keyword> All Wheel Drive (AWD) compact SUV between Rs 11.89 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 
 
The AWD will enable the SUV to intuitively access the road and constantly engage all wheels. It will come in shift-by-fly options of 2WD, Auto and 4WD. The car is mated to a six speed transmission. 
 
The car is powered by the 1.5 dCi THP diesel engine with 110 PS@4000 RPM of maximum power and torque of 245NM@1750 RPM. It gets cosmetic changes to its exteriors and a new dash and seats for its interiors. It also gets a new infotainment system. 
 
Duster has been pivotal for the fortunes of the company as it has sold over 100,000 units in the past 25 months in India. 
 The Duster AWD is expected to contribute greatly to the company's hopes of garnering five per cent plus <keyword id="34527" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="market-share">market share</keyword> in the country. <keyword id="43777" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Renault">Renault</keyword> is alsp looking to launch two new cars next year even as it ramps up dealership to 175 across India by end of the year.

We had loved the Xperia Z2 and now we have been using the Z3 for about a week now, so let us find out if this is even better or not? 
 
 
 
What is it? 
 
It is Sony new device that will be pitted against the flagship device from all other smartphone makers. We had hoped that Sony will be packing in a 2K display for this one but sadly that is not the case so. Just like the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 is also waterproof and dust proof. 
 
 
 
Why does it matter? 
 
Sony has been trying hard to increase its market share and profitability in the smartphone space. The company has already indicated that it will focus on high-end devices to improve its bottom lines. The Xperia Z3 is going to be Sony front runner in this category and it needs to lead by example. 
 
 
 
Design 
 
Aesthetically, the Sony Xperia Z3 remains very similar to its predecessor. It is available in four colors (white, black, copper and a "mysterious" silver-green), it keeps the angular Omnibalance design of Sony Xperia Z2. But we have no complaints in regards to the minimalistic and monolithic device. With an aluminium frame and glossy rear, Sony has decided to pop a nylon cap onto the corners of the phone in an attempt to keep these easily dented and chipped areas blemish free. The durable material (used in the automotive industry) will no doubt be fit for purpose, though it's arguable that they've now undermined the otherwise-seamless design from the outset here. 
In addition, the Sony Xperia Z3 weighs just 152g, which makes it full 11 grams lighter than the Xperia Z2 and at just 7.3mm it is also slimmer. 
 
 
 
Display 
 After spree of boring and dull displays, Sony managed to cracked the display puzzle with the Xperia Z2 and the same has been borrowed by Xperia Z3 as well. Crisp colors and contour, rich detailing and an astounding viewing experience, is what Xperia Z3 promises and very ably delivers. It may not match up to the class of Super AMOLED display of <keyword id="10591" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Samsung">Samsung</keyword> but still, the difference is not really going to be bothersome. Viewing angles are good too and you won't find any issues with that. 
 
Performance 
 
Xperia Z2 was a top notch performer with its fluid interface experience via the Xperia UI and a stable workhorse too. With Xperia Z3, the stake has gone to another level. It packs the quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset along with 3 GB RAM and those numbers are well and truly packing the Z3 with a high-end experience. Be it, gaming, multi-tasking or any heavy loaded stuff, Xperia Z3 comes through unscathed without major heating issues and no lagging problems, whatsoever. If you compare the benchmark scores of Xperia Z2 and Z3, you’ll actually wonder, if the upgrade is really what an existing Xperia users will be look for. For some strange reasons, we got the Xperia Z2 delivering better graphics experience than Xperia Z3 but all that does change, when using the phones in real time.

Camera 
 
How can you actually improve a phone’s camera packing a mammoth 20.7 megapixel resolution? Well, with Xperia Z2 we observed, improvements were needed on the detailing and low-light capturing front and Sony comes back to us with Xperia Z3 that gets the issues sorted, to some extent. The company has upped the aperture quotient on the Z3 ,which helps in delivering higher detailed images with clarity and the low-light shooting has improved as well. But what we like the most, is the Xperia Z3’s ability to handle 4K-video shooting which is much better than what we experienced on the Xperia Z2 (constant heating and device freeze was a common pain). 
 
 
 
Battery 
 
The flagship Xperia devices have been known for being a powerhorse, as well as, workhorse nature. And the same tradition continues with the Xperia Z3. You don’t really have to be moving around with a portable charger with Xperia Z3 that’s how confident we were, when we used the phone for a week. But, just to be sure about the credentials, we made the Z3 run through set of video playback and usage tests. With video playback, we got the phone up and running for more than 8 hours which in our experience translates to more than day’s life and we exactly got that during our usage tests.

Should I buy it? 
If you are an existing Xperia user then the upgrade makes a little sense. Otherwise, it makes better sense to go with the Xperia Z2, which after the launch of the new flagship is now available for Rs 39.999.

The Japanese electronic major has introduced the <keyword id="2004597" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="d3300">D3300</keyword> <keyword id="180940" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="DSLR">DSLR</keyword> <keyword id="6364276" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="camera">camera</keyword> here, which boasts of the new EXPEED 4 image processor. From the budget series of Nikon DSLR’s this is an upgrade to the last years Nikon D3200. 
 
The new camera comes in 3 colours with a new 18-55 mm lens that is lighter than the previous generation. As far as the megapixels are concerned, the D3300 has a 24.2 MP CMOS sensor to take the best of images. For beginners Nikon has brought back the instructive guide mode with some enhancements over the previous editions. 
 Other features of the camera include up to 12,800 ISO levels, Full HD movie recording, 13 special effect modes and 5 FPS continuous shooting mode. Overall the package seems to be pretty nice. The <keyword id="459" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="price">price</keyword> of the camera is still undecided. However, looking at the previous generation of the DSLR and current scenario it should be somewhere around Rs 34,000 mark (with the kit lens). If the company manages to do so, then it will make the package even more desirable. Nikon also announced the D3300 will be available for sale in India by mid of February, 2014.

The new feature lets brands tease items before they go on sale, and users can sign up to be reminded before the release through in-app notifications. "With Product Drops, when a merchant Tweets about an upcoming launch, you will see a 'Remind me' button at the bottom of the Tweet," the company said in a blogpost. With one tap, users can request to be reminded of the Drop. On launch day, users will get an in-app notification in their Notifications tab 15 minutes before and at the time of the drop, so they can be among the first to shop on the merchant's website. When users click on the notification, they will see a 'Shop on website' button to purchase the item on the merchant's website. The company said that users will also be able to see the price, pictures, a description of the product, and a clickable hashtag that will show them what other shoppers on Twitter have to offer. For now, only shoppers in the US who use Twitter in English on iOS devices will be able to see and engage with Product Drops. Twitter is testing a new feature that will let you preview upcoming product releases

Here's what he told Re/code's Walt Mossberg and Ina Fried:
Backstage, we were talking about some of the mistakes Apple made in the '90s, and some of it was trying to do things like making cheap products that were chasing market share instead of chasing a better experience. You make that mistake once in your life, you're not going to make it twice.
Joswiak went on to say that the company's goal is to make "the best products with the best experience," adding that Apple has the highest customer satisfaction rate. He continued:
We [believe] that if we make a better product and a better experience, that there will always be a healthy market for that. And a healthy market doesn't mean we have to be market-share leader.
The iPhone 5c appears to provide some evidence that backs up Joswiak's statement. When Apple unveiled the iPhone 5c alongside the iPhone 5s, it was the first time the company offered a lower-cost alternative to its flagship smartphone. It's essentially an iPhone 5 coated in brightly colored plastic, which brings the price down a bit.
Although Apple doesn't break out sales of its individual phone models, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/iphone-5c-2014-1">evidence suggests that Apple sells more of its higher-priced iPhones than cheaper models.</a>
Apple's competition has seen quite a bit of success in this department, however. There's been <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/oneplus-one-invites-2014-6">a ton of interest in Chinese startup OnePlus' One Android phone </a>because it's one of the cheapest phones you can buy off contract at just $350. And it's <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/oneplus-one-review-2014-6">pretty nice for the price, too.</a>

Apple Thinks Releasing Cheap Products Is A 'Mistake'

The first device is the much leaked BlackBerry <keyword id="2063272" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Z3">Z3</keyword>, which will be an all touch device and will be exclusively available in Indonesia. 
 
BlackBerry Z3 features a 5 inch display and comes with BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.1. The device will go on sale in April 2014. 
 However, the much bigger news is the introduction of the new QWERTY flagship from the company in the form of BlackBerry <keyword id="2074937" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Q20">Q20</keyword>. With this smartphone the company plans to woo the people that have been BlackBerry loyalist. 
 
The new BlackBerry Q20 smartphone features the familiar and classic ‘Menu’, ‘Back’, ‘Send’ and ‘End’ buttons and the integrated trackpad to enable the fast efficient navigation and one-handed use that has endeared the brand to its QWERTY customers. 
 
The BlackBerry Q20 smartphone will include a 3.5” touchscreen, which is the largest display yet on a QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone.

Blackberry Announces Z3 And Q20 Smartphones At MWC 2014

Here at the <keyword id="111480" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="40" keywordseo="mobile-world-congress">Mobile World Congress</keyword> (MWC) 2014, we were all expecting and hoping that <keyword id="16129" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="HTC">HTC</keyword> will launch the successor of HTC One, but, HTC has launched the HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 smartphones at this event. These smartphone will be a part of HTC’s mid-range portfolio. 
 
HTC Desire 816 The HTC Desire 816 comes with 5.5 inch screen. It is powered by a quad-core, 1.6 GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM. It will have a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera and a 2600 mAh battery. The device has 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by microSD card. 
 The HTC Desire 816 is the first <keyword id="106984" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="edition">edition</keyword> of the new-look HTC Desire family and comes loaded with HTC’s iconic dual-frontal speakers and HTC BoomSound. It also has the HTC BlinkFeed.

HTC Desire 610 Coming over to the HTC Desire 610, the smartphone packs in 4.7-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD. For camera, there is 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera. The HTC Desire 610 has a 2,040mAh battery.
