Tech companies are pretty active on April Fools' Day, pranking users with innovative new products which otherwise don't exist. <keyword id="6355629" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Google">Google</keyword> has been on top of this for a few years now and this year is no different.<br />
<br /> The company has built a new Pac Man game right into <keyword id="97416" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Google-maps">Google Maps</keyword>, which will transform lanes into paths for Pac Man. Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde are also available here and <keyword id="885137" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="will-chase">will chase</keyword> after Pac Man, just like in the popular retro arcade game.<br />

To make the experience better, Google is even offering suggestions on places to better experience this game.<br />
<br /> The company has further (fake) announced a new product known as Google Panda, which is essentially a Panda that is also your <keyword id="419817" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="virtual-assistant">virtual assistant</keyword>. Google mentions that Panda will be available in varying sizes. There's even a product announcement video which makes it look almost real.<br />

A more simple prank from Google is the <a href="https://com.google/"><em>com.google</em></a> site which displays everything backwards. Even the search results shown here is backwards, which is a nice way to get a kick out of your <keyword id="343" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="80" keywordseo="Friends">friends</keyword>.<br />

Then there's Smart Mailbox for Inbox which promises to bring all your mails from the Inbox app in the physical form through a mailbox.<br />

Moving on, there's the keyless keyboard which lets you type input without using the keyboard. You simply have to blow into the pipe which is attached to the device.<br />

Chrome users will not be exempt from the fun as Google has announced a new Chrome Selfie feature which lets you capture your emotions after reading something online. Google says "With #ChromeSelfie you can share sites with your family and friends on social media and via instant messages, along with a handsome selfie instead of cumbersome text."<br />

April Fool's Day Special: What Google Had planned for us

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>Pac-Man is famous for its four different-coloured ghosts, but <span>Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde could have been all one shade if <span>the president and co-founder of the games company that created Pac-Man had his way. </span></span></p><p>During the game's development, Masaya Makamura, the president of Namco, was convinced that the Pac-Man ghosts should all be red, <a href="http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/54eb500c-0e96-11e5-9ae0-00144feabdc0.html#axzz3ckcPSvON">according to the Financial Times</a>. </p><p>An intense internal battle ensued, led by then 26-year-old Namco developer Toru Iwatani, who was convinced that the game's villains should be multi-coloured. </p><p>In <a href="http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/54eb500c-0e96-11e5-9ae0-00144feabdc0.html#axzz3ckcPSvON">an interview with the Financial Times,</a> Iwatani recounts the moment he confronted his boss:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Mr Nakamura was very scary. All the developers on the team, and all the people our age, knew that each ghost had to have a different colour?.?.?.?the ghosts needed to be cute like cartoons. But Mr Nakamura wanted them all red. </span></p><p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">I was 26 years old, and it was terrifying to confront the boss. But I decided to hit him with data. I conducted an internal survey among my colleagues and, with my hands shaking, presented Mr Nakamura with the results. It was 40-0 in fav­our of coloured ghosts, and he agreed.</span></p><p>Making the ghosts "cute like cartoons" was a major part of the game's plan to entice women into arcades, Iwatani said. Iwatani's team considered several designs for the Pac-Man avatar, which could have been dominated by eyes or nose. </p><p>"The discussion didn't take very long," Iwatani said. "A few minutes. The character was all in the mouth."</p><p>It's safe to say that this design worked. Today, there is just one red ghost - Blinky.
