A new 'Pickle Rick Miracle Seltzer' just launched as a nod to one of the most infamous episodes of 'Rick & Morty'

This makes the "Rick and Morty" writers room 50% female, excluding showrunners Harmon and Roiland.  </p><p>Season three episodes "Rickmancing the Stone" and "Pickle Rick" were credited to two of the female writers, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5426546/">Jane Becker</a> and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2005299/">Jessica Gao</a>.</p><p>After their episodes aired, both women received backlash from some of the show's fans on Twitter, simply based on the fact that they are women. The trolling turned into a serious threat when their personal information was posted online, a practice commonly referred to as "doxing."</p><p><a href="http://ew.com/tv/2017/09/21/rick-morty-dan-harmon-female-writers/amp/">Entertainment Weekly </a>recently spoke to Harmon, who addressed the fans who've threatened his staff writers:</p><p style="padding-left: 30px;">"I've made no bones about the fact that I loathe these people. It f---ing sucks. And the only thing I can say is if you're lucky enough to make a show that is really good that people like, that means some bad people are going to like it, too. You can't just insist that everybody who watches your show get their head on straight. And I'm speaking for myself - I don't want the show to have a political stance. But at the same time, individually, these aren't politicians and don't represent politics. The shop is also offering to cover up gang-related tattoos.</p><p>"Having anything hate-related is completely unacceptable," King <a href="https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/14/us/tattoo-shop-hate-gang-symbol-cover-up-kentucky-trnd/index.html">told CNN</a>. "A lot of people when they were younger just didn't know any better and were left with mistakes on their bodies. We just want to make sure everybody has a chance to change."</p><p>The tattoo parlor has received more than 30 requests for cover-ups and is hoping people use the opportunity to become better people.</p><p>"We also got a guy with a giant swastika who said he has never taken his shirt off in front of his kids," King told CNN. "I like seeing that. I like seeing people want to change themselves for the better. That swells me full of emotions."</p><p><a href="https://www.kfvs12.com/2020/06/12/murray-tattoo-shop-offers-free-cover-ups-hate-or-gang-related-tattoos/">Swift told KFVS</a> that he and King were inspired to offer free tattoo cover-ups amid nationwide protests calling for the end of police brutality and racial injustice.</p><p>"I just wanted to help out in some way. It's the only platform I have," Swift said. "We're basically just covering any hate or gang-related imagery or wording."</p><p>One customer, Jennifer Tucker, stopped in to get a Confederate flag covered up. She told KFVS that she got the tattoo when she was 18 to rebel against her family.</p><p>Gallery X Art Collective covered the tattoo with Pickle Rick from the cartoon "Rick and Morty," a cartoon that she loves.</p><p>"My daughter said, 'I'm really proud, mom, that you're taking that off of you," Tucker told KFVS. "I want it gone. I want solidarity. I mean, we love them. We smile when they pass by.</p><p><strong>Joe Avella:</strong> Villas Tacos in <keyword id="6354803" type="LOCATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Los-Angeles">Los Angeles</keyword> has set up shop on their grandparents' lawn and are serving up delicious street <keyword id="6181" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Food">food</keyword> -- uh, front-yard food -- from their Instagram to your car. Tacos, mulitas, and quesadillas with your choice of protein and several amazing secret-family-recipe salsas.</p><p><strong>Driver:</strong> We love this place. We've been coming every week since we found out about it.</p><p><strong>Passenger:</strong> Since August.</p><p><strong>Driver:</strong> Yeah.</p><p><strong>Lizette Villa:</strong> Well, this is our grandparents house, so we always used to play with our cousins here, like, every Sunday when we were little. We got to see, you know, the neighborhood, grow up, be part of it, and now serve it. It's really something special.</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> On the menu, you got this here. You got the handmade blue corn tortillas. We take this masa, and we make it into tortillas for tacos, mulitas, and quesadillas. All our meats are grilled over mesquite charcoal. We have pollo, chorizo, asada, and then vegan options, we have black bean and ensalada de nopales, which is a cactus salad. Potatoes, and they should look like this, nice and crispy here. It goes to the finishing station. We throw in this salsa, that salsa, hibiscus pickled onions. Once it's finished bagging, out the door. It allows maximum efficiency with the given space that we have. Hear that [hisses]? Ah, that's what I'm talking about. Let's go.</p><p><strong>Joe:</strong> Really, really colorful, especially the tacos. You guys have, like, seven layers of different colors.</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> [laughs] Yeah.</p><p><strong>Joe:</strong> You also had to consider how they would taste together, right?</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> Well, I figured, what are some of my favorite toppings and what would make my ideal taco, my taco of choice? If I were to go to a taqueria and I had all these tools at my disposal, how would my taco look?</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> It wasn't always like this. It wasn't always the family working with us. When we were on York Boulevard, it was pretty much just, like, me and a couple of buddies. [record needle scratching] But we're right here. But before, but before -- no!</p><p><strong>Lizette:</strong> We were here! We've been here since day one!</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> Let's ask that question again. I like it. I mean, they're my sisters. I'm with them sometimes, you know. Can you believe that? And I thought, "How many other people in Los Angeles were just like me?" And I decided to go with handmade blue corn tortillas. That was gonna be my thing. This is mesquite carbón, mesquite charcoal.</p><p><strong>Joe:</strong> Why mesquite?</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> That's all we use. The flavor from the smoke, from the wood. It's the only way to do it. The only right way to do it. This grill here, this is the one that we started off with. Her name is Maria. And then this one here, this is Rick, and this is his twin brother, Morty. Now it's gonna start popping, so be careful. [laughs] That's why we have our fire extinguisher here, just in case. We're gonna fill this grill up here. Hey, supremo! Cómo estás? We cook it this way. We let it cook for about 20, 25 minutes, slow and slow. We don't rush it, because sometimes I go places, you know, and try their food, and the fire is all the way at the top, and it's just, the heat is excessive. This, it's actually grilling, you know? We're grilling, and we're chilling.</p><p><strong>Joe:</strong> As mentioned before, there are six family salsas.</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> So, this one here is my grandma's salsa. It's a red salsa. So, we have salsa guacamole, and we have actual guacamole, chunky. This is our tomatillo-based salsa. Mango pico de gallo. And then we have a roasted salsa. This is my dad's recipe. So you mix this with this, and that is the recipe that his dad showed him in Jiquilpan, Michoacán.</p><p><strong>Joe:</strong> It's a three-generation salsa, right there?</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> Correct. This one is my recipe. This is the mango habanero. We use almost 4 liters. We have 14 liters of guacamole today, 14. This is our The Works vegan taco here. Starts off with your handmade blue corn tortilla. Next step, you add some homemade black beans. Let that get nice and hot there. And we got our soyrizo with grilled onions and grilled pineapple. 100% vegan.</p><p><strong>Driver:</strong> Since the first time we found out about it, we've been telling friends. We're picking up orders for other people now. [laughs]</p><p><strong>Victor:</strong> The first hour is the busiest because we're trying to get everything in order. And Mark and Donnie understand the importance of the show to the brand so they have done everything they can to promote the show."</p><p>Opening a restaurant might seem like an odd choice for Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, who are best known for their acting and singing. It also has an agreement for 20 locations in the Middle East, with plans to eventually have 300 locations overseas. </p><p>The privately-held company doesn't release many details about its financials. It's also transparent with customers about where its food comes from. Mark Wahlberg's burger chain is planning a massive expansion to compete with Shake Shack and Five Guys

<p>There is no great team.</p>
<p>The closest we have to a great team is the Seattle Seahawks, and something still feels off about the Seahawks.</p>
<p>Perhaps it's because the rest of the league is so boring/weak this year.</p>
<p>Just look at the good teams: The Saints look good, but not great. The Pats? Brady is off, and they just lost important defensive players. The 49ers were crushed by the Seahawks, it looks to be an off year. The Packers are starting to get it together, but do you trust them? The Broncos were white hot to start, but the defense is suspect, and people are skeptical about Manning for the duration of the season. The Chiefs are undefeated, but I'm not a believer in the long run.</p>
<p>And then, there's the bad teams: <span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The Jaguars and Bucs both look like they're going to go 0-16. The Giants and Vikings are sloppy, and look like they're getting 3 wins. The Steelers are starting get it going but, please. The Eagles, the Washington Hogs, Cardinals, Bears, Browns, etc. all look shaky, destined to win a handful of games. </span></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">We're almost half way through the season, I really have no sense of who the Seahawks will play in the Super Bowl. </span></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">Which might be why I'm not doing as well as I would hope picking games. </span></p>
<p>I got last night's game right, calling for a Panthers win. The Bucs are a mess and should fire Schiano as soon as possible, unless they just want to tank the season. </p>
<p>That makes my record 21-23-1 for the season, which isn't horrendous, but it's not good. I'm like the Eagles, a threat to win from week to week, but ultimately not getting it done. </p>
<p>Let's see if I can change that this week. All lines are from the Las Vegas Hilton, via <a href="http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/matchups/">Vegas Insider</a>. </p>
<h2>The New York Jets are on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, who are 6.5 point favorites.</h2>
<p>I like the Jets here. The defense will be good enough to rattle Andy Dalton, who is just so-so. Geno Smith is inconsistent, and will have his problems with the Bengals, but I think he'll play well enough that with 6.5 points he should cover. </p>
<p>The pick: Jets +6.5</p>
<p><em>For the non-gamblers, that means Jets either win, or only lose by 6 or less. </em></p>

<p>The Cowboys should get torched by the Lions, who have a decent offense, and a decent defense. These teams are actually kind of similar. Good, but underachieving quarterbacks. Lots of talent on the roster, but coaches who don't seem able to get the most out of the players. In this situation, I say take the home team. </p>
<p>The pickle: Lions -3</p>
<p><em>For the non-gamblers, I like the Lions to win by 3 or more</em>. </p>
<h2>Pittsburgh Steelers are on the road against the Oakland Raiders who are getting 2.5 points. </h2>
<p>This feels like a game where Vegas wants everyone to pick the Steelers who have suddenly won two games in a row. The Raiders are stinky, and everyone knows it, right? Well, I'm going the other way. I say take the points, take the Raiders. </p>
<p>The lock: Raiders +2.5</p>
<p><em>For non-gamblers, I think the Raiders win, or lose by 2 points or less.</em></p>
<h2>The Philadelphia Eagles are on the road against the New York Giants, who are getting 5.5 points. </h2>
<p>The Eagles should have Vick back, which should be enough to beat the hapless Giants.</p>
<p>The lead pipe lock: Eagles -5.5</p>
<p><em>For non-gamblers, that means I think the Eagles win by 6.  </em></p>
