In a social media post, Patel said he is "bringing the curtains down on an 18-year-long cricketing journey". Patel, who made his <keyword id="1819753" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="international-debut">international debut</keyword> at the age of 17 in an away Test series against England in 2002, played 25 Tests, 38 ODIs and two T20Is for India, his last international appearance coming in team's famous Test win in Johannesburg in January 2018. He was also part of the squad when India won their maiden Test series in Australia in 2018-19. "On this day, as I pause and reflect to assess how far I have come, the biggest wish I have is for my father to have been standing beside me, at the closure of my journey as a cricket player, as he has through most of my life and career," Patel said. "Today, I announce my retirement from all forms of cricket and as I bring down the curtains on this 18-year-old cricketing journey, I feel heavier with gratitude towards many," he added. Apart from playing for India, Patel led Gujarat to the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2015 as he scored a match-winning maiden List A century in the final against Delhi. He outdid that achievement the next season, when he made 143 against Mumbai to help Gujarat pull off the highest successful run-chase in a Ranji Trophy final. "The BCCI showed a generous amount of confidence and faith in a 17 year old boy to play for India. I have enormous gratitude towards them for being a guiding force and hand holding me, in the formative years of my young career," Patel said in his social media post. "I am full of gratitude to The Gujarat Cricket Association, my home, for solidly rallying around me throughout my journey, and the leadership role conferred upon me couldn't have been more joyous and fulfilling than our team winning all formats of the game," he added. The left-handed batsman scored over 11,000 runs in 194 first-class games, with 27 centuries and 67 half-centuries. In the Indian Premier League, the 35-year-old played for six franchises in total. He was part of three title-winning teams - Chennai Super Kings in 2010 and <keyword id="9715112" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="the-mumbai-indians">the Mumbai Indians</keyword> in 2015 and 2017. In total, he played a total of 139 IPL matches, scoring 2848 runs with the help of 13 half centuries. He was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad in 2020 but was not included in the playing XI for a single game as the team preferred to use AB de Villiers as their first-choice keeper and also used Devdutt Padikkal as opener. "I feel at peace having played the game in its truest tenets, with dignity and in the spirit of the game and more importantly with great comraderie. As I walk away as a proud man having fulfilled more dreams than I thought possible, I hope to be remembered with that thought and find your support for my future endeavours," Patel said. Wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel retires from all forms of cricket

According to the data filed with the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Registrar+of+Companies&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Registrar of Companies</a> (<keyword id="6605088" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="ROC">Roc</keyword>) in March 2015, Nike’s losses were around Rs 541 crore. Its losses for the current year were Rs 101 crore. 
 
"As part of its strategy, Nike is reducing its number of partners in the country and will be working with just three or four to run its operations here, earlier it had around 20 partners and it has halved the number. Further consolidation will take place." a senior industry executive told ET. Many of the stores closed by Nike have been converted into Multi-Brand stores by its partners like <keyword id="3667865" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="SSIPL">SSIPL</keyword> and <keyword id="13319" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ravi-Jaipuria">Ravi Jaipuria</keyword>'s RJ Corp. These multi-brand stores are showing encouraging results. 
 
According to the sources, Nike has been thinking about its strategy of sponsoring bats for top Indian cricketers. Pune has defeated Mumbai in a surprisingly close match. We all love those last ball matches. 
 All-rounder Hardik Pandya's last-over heroics helped <keyword id="13880" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mumbai-Indians">Mumbai Indians</keyword> recover from a mediocre position to post a healthy 184/8 against <keyword id="3315697" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rising-Pune-Supergiant">Rising Pune Supergiant</keyword> (RPS) in the second game of the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Thursday. 
 
Bengal medium pacer Ashoke Dinda was the culprit for the home side conceding 30 runs in the final over when Hardik (35 not out) hammered the right-armer for four sixes (including three consecutive) and a four to change the course of the game. 
 
Earlier, South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who went unsold in the auctions and was a late addition to the Pune squad, brought the hosts back into the game with three quick wickets after the Mumbai opening duo of Jos Buttler (38) and Parthiv Patel (19) added 45 runs for the opening wicket. 
 
Introduced in the fifth over, Tahir struck in his second ball when he bowled Parthiv round his legs before packing Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma (3) and Buttler in his next over to reduce Mumbai to 62/3. 
 
Rohit, who has been out of action for almost five months, was slow on his feet and it was enough for Tahir to break through his defence. One ball later, Tahir trapped the dangerous Buttler in front although television replays later showed that the Englishman had got a thick inside edge. 
 
Before his dismissal, Buttler lived up to his billing, milking his English teammate and IPL-10's costliest buy Ben Stokes (Rs 14.5 crore) for two consecutive sixes and then dispatching rookie Rajasthan medium-pacer Deepak Chahar for a four and a six off back-to-back deliveries. His 19-ball knock was laced with three hits to the fence and as many maximums. 
 
After the strategic time-out, Pune skipper Steve Smith introduced veteran all-rounder Rajat Bhatia, who responded well by taking a simple return catch to pack Ambati Rayudu (10) before dismissing Krunal Pandya (3) cheaply. 
 
Australian leggie Adam Zampa then added to the misery for the visitors by picking the crucial wicket of Nitish Rana (34), comfortably caught by Bhatia at deep midwicket. 
 
Rana looked good for his 28-ball knock, consisting a four and two sixes, but it was the 30-run fourth-wicket stand with Rayudu and 18 runs with Keiron Pollard (27) that mattered more. 
 Pollard, who was dropped by <keyword id="6397" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dhoni">Dhoni</keyword> on 22, struggled to get the big shots before falling to a stunning running catch by Mayank Agarwal at the long-on boundary off Stokes. 
 
The West Indian struck three boundaries and a six in his 17-ball innings as he added 21 runs for the seventh wicket with Hardik Pandya. 
 
Hardik then added 37 runs for the eighth wicket with New Zealander Tim Southee (7) to put Mumbai in a commanding position.

IPL 2017, Pune vs Mumbai: Pune defeat Mumbai in a last ball clincher

<keyword id="351" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Yuvraj-Singh">Yuvraj Singh</keyword> smashed a 29-ball 68* with the help of nine sixes as <keyword id="6354506" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Royal-Challengers-Bangalore">Royal Challengers Bangalore</keyword> (186 for 4) saw off Delhi Daredevils (170 for 7) by 16 runs at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday night. With their fourth win in 10 matches, RCB kept their remote play-off hopes alive, while DD suffered their eighth defeat in 10 matches to keep scraping the bottom of the barrel. 

	Ever since the World T20 final defeat against Sri Lanka where Yuvraj scored a 21-ball 11, he has been at the centre of criticism with many questioning his batting credentials. In a quest to restore his good name, the left-hander started his IPL campaign on a great note, scoring a match-winning 29-ball 52 against DD in RCB's first match. Despite a great start to the season, Yuvraj all of a sudden waned and so did the fortunes of the team.
 

	However, in the last game against Rajasthan Royals, the left-hander made 83 off 38 balls and took four wickets to show first real signs of his returning to form. On Tuesday, Yuvraj continued from where he had left off against RR, putting DD bowlers to the sword. Against Shane Watson's men, Yuvraj's efforts had gone up the spout but against DD, the team won, erasing the bitterness of the defeat in the last game.
 

	Yuvraj joined AB de Villiers at 93 for 3 in 12.3 overs and showed positive intent straight away, scoring a four off his third ball. The duo had added 132 against RR and looked set to do another similar act. However, de Villiers failed this time losing his stumps to Kaul for 33.
 An undeterred Yuvraj hit legspinner Imran Tahir for three consecutive sixes in the 17th over to bring plenty of momentum to the RCB innings. Yuvraj continued his assault, sending Mohammad Shami and Siddarth Kaul over the fence in the 18th and 19th overs respectively. In the last over bowled by <keyword id="172496" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Rahul-Shukla">Rahul Shukla</keyword>, Yuvraj showed his most devastating side, hitting four successive sixes. The over yielded 27 runs in all. 

	Yuvraj also bowled an economical over towards the end - 16th over of the innings - giving away just four runs and hampered DD's momentum a great deal; the visitors needed 68 off 30 balls before Yuvraj's over. He kept the dangerous JP Duminy quiet. Considering the margin of the win and Duminy's 30-ball 48, the over was very important in the context of the game.
 Sri Lanka great <keyword id="26689" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Muttiah-Muralitharan">Muttiah Muralitharan</keyword> also showed some glimmers of his past skills and got rid of <keyword id="57265" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Murali-Vijay">Murali Vijay</keyword> whom DD had brought back for this match in place of Laxmi Ratan Shukla. Hadn't wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel dropped Mayank Agarwal in the third over, Murali's second, the Sri Lankan would've had his second victim in as many overs. Murali, along with Mitchell Starc, who cleaned up Quinton de Kock for six in the second over, ensured there weren't even distant hopes of a win for the visitors. However, Mayank Agarwal (31), Kevin Pietersen (33), Kedar Jadhav (37) and Duminy combined to make a match of it but Yuvraj's assault with the bat eventually turned out to be difference. Murali returned with 2 for 25, <keyword id="6355316" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Dinesh-Karthik">Dinesh Karthik</keyword> being his second victim. 

	Earlier, after the match was delayed for 70 minutes due to rain, DD captain Pietersen won the toss and put the hosts in to bat. RCB struggled in the first half of their innings but Yuvraj's extraordinary power-hitting in the next helped the team fetch 71 runs in the last four overs. Yuvraj and Sachin Rana (15) added an unbeaten 79 for the fifth wicket.
 

	Jharkhand fast bowler Shukla got the sought-after breakthrough in the sixth over when he removed Chris Gayle for 22. The West Indian was looking in great touch, manifested by two big sixes off Shami and Duminy, before chopping the ball onto his stumps as he charged down the track.
 

	RCB captain Virat Kohli's lean patch continued as he succumbed to an unnecessary run-out for 10 off the first ball of the eighth over, Shukla again playing a part. The ball from legspinner Tahir took an inside edge in the direction of fine leg where the sturdy fast bowler was keeping vigil; a rocket throw from Shukla reached wicketkeeper de Kock who removed the bails in a flash and Kohli found himself short of crease.
 

	de Villiers joined a cautious Parthiv Patel and both began the repair work. At the start of their partnership, there were only singles and doubles. Things changed for RCB in the 11th over as Patel picked up two boundaries off Tahir. Buoyed by the over, de Villiers took 18 runs off the next over bowled by medium pacer Kaul with the help of two fours and a six.
 

	The 49-run stand was broken by Shami's slower ball in 13th over. The diminutive left-hander got deceived and gave a simple catch to Karthik at point for 29. Thereafter it was all Yuvraj's show.

Checkbrand analyzed data for 45 top players on social media for the period of August - October 2020. Checkbrand analyzed more than 100 million online impressions for the report. Top three positions are undertaken by ex-cricketers when it comes to mentions. Kapil Dev has the highest mentions in the last quarter 8.8 lakh, Dhoni at 6.2 lakh, Irfan Pathan at 4.27 lakh, ViratKohli at 3.45 lakh. Umesh Yadav has the maximum positive sentiment at 86.3 % followed by Yuvraj Singh at 85.6%, Suresh Raina at 74.8%, Ashwin at 73.4% and Kapil Dev at 73.7% Virat Kohli is the clear winner when it comes to overall brand score with 43.94, followed by Yuvraj Singh 40.40, <keyword id="6354267" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="sachin-tendulkar">Sachin Tendulkar</keyword> 37.51,Umesh Yadav 35.91, Suresh Raina 35.01 and Dhoni at 34.80. The overall score is measured out of 100. Five parameters have been considered for devising this score which are followers (20), trends (10), sentiment (30), engagement (20) and mentions (20). The Indian Captain’s brand value in monetary terms basis the engagement and followers stood at INR 3.28 billion, for Sachin Tendulkar at INR 1.67 billion, followed by MS Dhoni at INR 1.24 billion, Rohit Sharma at INR 0.96 billion and Suresh Raina at INR 0.60. Speaking on the sentiment analysis, Anuj Sayal, MD, ADG Online and Chechbrand.online said, “The mentions for Kapil Dev were the highest and engagement was in the top five players due to the biopic movie on the cricketer. Despite low performance during the IPL MS Dhoni has stayed in top 5 positions in almost all the parameters apart from trends. Sachin’s brand value is the second highest amongst all the cricketers.” “This is our first report and we plan to add more interesting anecdotes in our next quarterly report.
