Your train journey from Delhi to Mumbai might come down to a little less than 12 hours. Ever since the Spanish train <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Talgo-needs-some-modifications/articleshow/53634134.cms">Talgo </a>has been brought to India, Indians who prefer train travel seem to be quite excited. And yesterday’s <keyword id="3733779" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Talgo">Talgo</keyword> run has given some more reasons to rejoice. 
In its final leg of test runs, Talgo train that started from Delhi at 2:45 in the afternoon reached Mumbai at 3:15 in the morning, thus covering 1,384 distance in little more than 12 hours. 
 
Nine super light-weight coaches manufactured by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Talgo-needs-some-modifications/articleshow/53634134.cms">Spanish</a> firm Talgo, which can hit 200 km per hour, were imported to Mumbai in April. 
Although the Talgo train reached Mumbai yesterday 18 minutes late in its third trial. The train was scheduled to reach its destination by 2:57AM. 
 The <keyword id="6355455" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Railways">Indian Railways</keyword> had conducted the first trial run of Talgo trains on the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Talgo-needs-some-modifications/articleshow/53634134.cms">Bareilly-Moradabad </a>stretch in <keyword id="6357713" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttar-Pradesh">Uttar Pradesh</keyword>, followed by the second trial run was conducted on the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Talgo-needs-some-modifications/articleshow/53634134.cms">Palwal-Mathura </a>section of the North-Central Railway.

Delhi to Mumbai in less than 12 hours by train, Talgo may make it happen

Even though the trail of Spanish <keyword id="3733779" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Talgo">Talgo</keyword> train was successful, <keyword id="6355455" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-Railways">Indian Railways</keyword> has said that it still needs some modifications before it can be operational, given that it has less width and low footboard height. 
 
The railways will go for an open tender so that it can acquire such lightweight trains from the international market. 
 
The speed trials of the nine-coach Talgo train were conducted between Barailey and Moradabad section, during which it went up to the speed of 115 kmph. Later, a high speed trial was conducted between Mathura and Palwal section, with a test speed of 180 kmph.

In spite of several bottlenecks, the NHAI has set up impressive targets and aims to develop 20 km/day, in a bid to fast-track the country’s <keyword id="2034194" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Road-network-expansion">road network expansion</keyword>. 
 As of July 2013, <keyword id="6373156" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="National-Highways">national highways</keyword> account for 79,116 km, connecting all major cities and state capitals. Expressways, however, differ a bit in the sense they are controlled-access highways like the <keyword id="610047" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="freeways">freeways</keyword> or <keyword id="1333990" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="motorways">motorways</keyword> or autobahnen in the US and Europe, essentially designed for high-speed traffic. As of now, most of the expressways in India are 6-8 lane <keyword id="120837" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="toll-roads">toll roads</keyword> and cover a total distance of nearly 1,208.19 km. India expects to add another 3,530 km of expressways by 2014 as projects under construction get completed. Rapid Action Force personnel conducted a flag march in <keyword id="11900977" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="gurugram" source="Orion">Gurugram</keyword>'s Badshahpur early on Wednesday, morning following the clashes that broke out in Nuh district of the State. Security has been strengthened in the districts adjoining Nuh -- Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram-- in light of the violence that broke out between two groups on July 31. Section 144 has been imposed for 48 hours from Monday midnight in Nuh and mobile internet services have been temporarily suspended in the district. On Tuesday, fresh violence was reported from Gurugram in Badshahpur and on Sohna road. Assistant Commissioner of Police Varun Dahiya (Crime), Gurugram said today, "All schools, colleges and workplaces are functioning normally. There are no restrictions on the movement of traffic. The internet is also operational. I appeal to all to not pay heed to rumours on social media. If anyone wants to report any information, they can reach helpline number '112'." <keyword id="41646" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="haryana" source="Orion">Haryana</keyword> Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar yesterday said he suspected a "conspiracy" behind Monday's clashes. Khattar called the incident "unfortunate" and said that clashes broke out at several places and that a big conspiracy seems behind the violence. "This is an unfortunate incident. A Yatra was being organised during which some people conspired an attack Yatris and the police. Violent incidents were reported at several places. There seems to be a big conspiracy behind this," said Khattar. Haryana Deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, however, said that the violence in Nuh district could have been avoided if organisers of the yatra had given complete information about the yatra to the district administration. "Strict action will be taken against those found responsible," said Chautala, leader of the <keyword id="7208750" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="jannayak-janta-party" source="Orion">Jannayak Janta Party</keyword> (JJP) on the incidents of violence in the state. A total of five people have died including two home guards who were shot dead in Monday's clash in Nuh. The deceased home guards identified as Neeraj and Gursevak were deployed at Khedali Daula police station. Heavy police have been deployed in Nuh district and nearby areas. Curfew has also been imposed in Nuh and Section 144 has been imposed in some places. Chief minister Khattar informed that around 44 FIRs have been registered and 70 people have been taken into custody. Khattar also appealed to locals to maintain peace. Sixteen companies of central forces and 20 of the <keyword id="41669" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="haryana-police" source="Orion">Haryana Police</keyword> have been deployed in Nuh. Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav on Tuesday said that situation was totally under control and normalcy has been restored and markets have opened. "In Gurugram, the situation is totally under control, Sohna was our main focus area, a peace committee meeting has taken place there, normalcy restored and markets have opened. We have conducted a flag march as well," the Deputy Commissioner Yadav said. He further said, "In Gurugram one death was reported in Sector 57 mosque, 5 vehicles were torched in Sohna and two to three shops have been vandalised". (ANI)

Reliance Jio's True 5G now available in over 406 cities

<keyword id="15474801" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="mt-autocraft" source="Orion">MT Autocraft</keyword>, a leading supplier of machined components and assemblies, on Wednesday, announced the launch of electric mobility company <keyword id="170979" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="mta" source="Orion">MTA</keyword> E-Mobility Pvt Ltd (<keyword id="15474802" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="mta-ev" source="Orion">MTA EV</keyword>) with a seed funding of Rs 100 crore. The electric mobility startup, which plans to hire 200 more people, has built a dedicated plant spread over three acres at Palwal in the national capital region. The company said that it aims to become a complete electric mobility solutions provider. "We have planned an initial investment of Rs 100 crore which will be funded by MT Autocraft, the <keyword id="4855" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="sehgal" source="Orion">Sehgal</keyword> family and a few high-net-worth individuals (HNIs)," said Karan Sehgal, Co-founder of MTA EV. Vivek <keyword id="15474803" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="jakhmola" source="Orion">Jakhmola</keyword>, an industry veteran and former president at JBM Group has joined as co-founder of the newly-formed MTA EV. Jakhmola was also a director at multiple companies in the Lumax Group and brings along over 25 years of experience. The company plans to hire another 200 people in the next 12 months. "We aim to create a sustainable organisation with a sharp focus on technology through self-reliance and intra-dependence on our foreign collaboration partners. We are already a 50-plus strong team in R&amp;D and market research. The team size will increase to 200 plus in the next 12 months," said Jakhmola. The company is set to showcase its products and technology at the upcoming 'Auto Expo 2023'. MTA EV plant has in-house facilities for assembly, end-of-line vehicle inspection, production monitoring, paint shop, chassis fabrication and surface coating among others, it said. MT Autocraft forays into EVs with Rs 100 cr funding, to hire 200 people

After making its maiden foray in Gurugram in 1983, country's largest car maker <keyword id="6363602" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="maruti-suzuki-india-ltd" source="Orion">Maruti Suzuki India Ltd</keyword> is going to set up its third facility with an outlay of Rs 18,000 crore in <keyword id="41646" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="haryana" source="Orion">Haryana</keyword> that will give boost to the auto industry. The automaker already has two manufacturing facilities in Haryana. The upcoming facility will have a production capacity of 250,000 vehicles per annum and is expected to be commissioned by 2025. In the past few years, Haryana has made rapid strides on several fronts, including industrial development, under the leadership of Chief Minister <keyword id="2458540" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="manohar-lal-khattar" source="Orion">Manohar Lal Khattar</keyword>, an official statement said on Tuesday. Haryana is well on its way to inclusive growth driven by a strong commitment of the government towards public welfare and ensuring the advanced facilities to its citizens. Likewise, the government is actively working towards making the state an industrial and automobile hub. The growth in automobile sector in the state can be gauged by the fact that <keyword id="44883" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="maruti-suzuki" source="Orion">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> is coming up with its third plant in the state. <keyword id="6912" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="maruti" source="Orion">Maruti</keyword> Suzuki India Ltd, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd and Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) will sign an agreement for the allotment of 800-acre and 100 acre land at IMT Kharkhoda, respectively, at a ceremony on May 19 in Gurugram amidst the presence of the Chief Minister. The event would also celebrate the four decades of Haryana-Japan business relationship, which began in 1981 and continues to flourish even today, says the statement. Chief Minister Khattar said this is a huge achievement for the state as Maruti is setting up its third plant in the state. He said Maruti Suzuki has purchased an additional 800 acres at IMT Kharkhoda for its proposed new car manufacturing facility. The total project cost is estimated to be Rs 18,000 crore. It has the potential to generate employment for 11,000 skilled, unskilled and semi-skilled persons. Along with Maruti Suzuki, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Ltd has also purchased a 100-acre land parcel for setting up an integrated manufacturing facility for two-wheelers, including engines. The total project cost is estimated to be Rs 1,466 crore, with a potential to generate employment for 2,000 skilled, unskilled and semi-skilled persons. "India is performing well in the ease-of-doing business and the ease-of-living index and Haryana is considered the fastest in both these respects. Haryana is one of the favourite destinations for global investors. Maruti played a major role towards development in the automobile sector and overall progress of the state," said the Chief Minister. "This will give a huge boost to the automobile sector and will motivate multinational companies in other sectors to set up their headquarters and manufacturing plants in Haryana. Along with this, new employment opportunities will also be created for the youth of the state. "Haryana has emerged as a magnet for the industry due to its enabling policies, availability of quality infrastructure, ease-of-doing business, conducive business environment and incentive structure. In Haryana, work was done to develop the industrial areas near the GT Roads and its proximity with Delhi other states too made it more preferred destination for industrial projects and there are dozens of industrial areas in multiple districts," said Khattar. The Industrial Model Township (IMT) at Kharkhoda, where Maruti Suzuki will be setting up its project, is an integrated industrial township with world-class infrastructure, being developed over an area of approximately 3,217 acres. It is strategically located on the Delhi-Haryana border, adjoining the western peripheral (Kundli-Manesar-Palwal) Expressway and State Highway 18. The IMT has abundant water and power supply from the NCR canal and the electricity utilities. Due to its proximity to Delhi and direct connectivity with Delhi Bahadurgarh, Gurugram and Sonipat via the KMP Expressway, Kharkhoda IMT will emerge as the next node for industrial development in Haryana. Regarding the expansion of Maruti Suzuki's foothold in Haryana, a spokesperson for the carmaker company said the company was in discussion with various state governments for their expansion plan but they find Haryana a suitable destination. "This first manufacturing facility at the site will have a production capacity of 250,000 vehicles per annum. It is expected to be commissioned by 2025. The land site will have space for capacity expansion and will include more production plants in the future," said the spokesperson. Notably, after setting up its first car plant at Gurugram in 1983, Maruti has steadily expanded its manufacturing footprint in Haryana by setting up a production facility at Manesar and a state-of-the-art R&amp;D centre in Rohtak. The two plants in Haryana - Gurugram and Manesar - together roll out around 15.5 lakh units annually. Today, the Gurugram-Manesar-Bawal belt is acknowledged as the auto hub of northern India.
