Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "short but a very productive visit" to Jakarta, where he participated in the <keyword id="1493716" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ASEAN-India-Summit" source="Orion">ASEAN-India Summit</keyword> and the East Asia Summit, has concluded on Thursday, said Secretary (East), <keyword id="6374106" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ministry-of-external-affairs" source="Orion">Ministry of External Affairs</keyword> (MEA), <keyword id="331724" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="saurabh-kumar" source="Orion">Saurabh Kumar</keyword>. "Prime Minister's participation in this summit will give India-ASEAN relations a strategic direction," said Secretary Kumar. In a short video message posted on X, by MEA spokesperson <keyword id="10953867" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="arindam-bagchi" source="Orion">Arindam Bagchi</keyword>, Kumar summarised the key takeaways of <keyword id="2238662" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="pm-modi" source="Orion">PM Modi</keyword>'s Jakarta visit. He said that PM Modi highlighted the "need to amplify the voice of the Global South, including in the G20". The <keyword id="5891" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="asean" source="Orion">ASEAN</keyword> leaders welcomed PM Modi's leadership in the G20 and wished him success and also congratulated India for the successful Chandrayaan-3 mission. "Prime Minister had comprehensive discussions, including in areas such as connectivity, maritime cooperation, digital transformation, trade and economy, environment, health and traditional medicines. In each of these, the Prime Minister made specific proposals, which has already been put out in the form of a twelve-point proposal," said Kumar. He added, "Two joint statements were issued between India and ASEAN. These relate to maritime cooperation and food security. In maritime cooperation, areas such as safety and security of the maritime area, maritime domain awareness, disaster management, blue economy, et cetera, have been covered." Prime Minister also announced the formation of an ASEAN India Fund for Digital Future, which would provide financial connectivity between ASEAN and India, said Kumar, adding, "Prime Minister also announced support for ERIA (Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia), which is an ASEAN think tank, which would be our knowledge partner to further deepen ASEAN-India relations." He also said that the Prime Minister, during his interactions and discussions, "called for a free, open and rules-based Indo-Pacific, emphasised ASEAN centrality and made the point that cod complements the same". Following his participation in the summits, PM Modi thanked Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, and the people. "Had a very short but fruitful Indonesia visit, where I met ASEAN and other leaders. I thank President @jokowi , the Indonesian Government and people for their welcome," wrote PM Modi on X. In his opening statement at <keyword id="42982" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="g20-summit" source="Orion">G20 Summit</keyword> being hosted under India's presidency, PM Modi spoke of global challenges and said 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' can be the torch bearer to address these. The plaque in front of PM Modi at the G20 Summit said "Bharat". "India's G20 presidency has become a symbol of inclusion, of 'sabka saath' both inside and outside the country. This has become People's G20 in India. Crores of Indians are connected to this. In more than 60 cities of the country, more than 200 meetings have taken place. With the sense of 'Sabka Saath', India had proposed that the <keyword id="148491" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="african-union" source="Orion">African Union</keyword> be granted permanent membership of G20. I believe that all of us agree to this proposal," he said. PM Modi also invited the head of the African Union to take his seat as a member of the G20. The first session of the summit under the theme 'One Earth' started at Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the conference. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar accompanied the President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union (AU), Azali Assoumas he took his seat among world leaders. "With everyone's approval, I request the African Union Chairperson to take his seat as a permanent G20 member," PM Modi said. African Union's inclusion in G20 was among India's key priorities in the G20 summit under its presidency. African Union's inclusion in G20 grouping was proposed by PM Modi in June this year. At the beginning of his speech, PM Modi expressed his condolences over the loss of lives due to an earthquake in Morocco. "Before we start the proceedings of G20, I want to express my condolences over the loss of lives due to an earthquake in Morocco. We pray that all injured recover at the earliest. India is ready to offer all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time." PM Modi noted that the world has faced a new challenge of trust deficit after the COVID-19. He referred to conflict between Ukraine and Russia and said the war had deepened the trust deficit further. "If we can defeat a pandemic like COVID, we can also win over the challenge of this trust deficit. Today, as the President of the G20, India calls upon the entire world to transform this global trust deficit into trust and confidence. This is the time for all of us to move together," he said. "In this time, the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' can be the torch bearer for us. Be it the divide between North and South, the distance between East and West, management of food and fuel, terrorism, cyber security, health, energy or water security, we will have to move towards a solid solution to this for future generations." This is the first ever G20 Summit being hosted by India. I look forward to productive discussions with world leaders over the next two days. A cybercriminal group with the alias ‘John Wick on Thursday said in a tweet that it did not hack <keyword id="4225623" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Paytm-Mall">Paytm Mall</keyword>, even as the group claimed responsibility for briefly hacking the Twitter account linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal website. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="77902203" title="Twitter account of PM Modi's personal website hacked — asks followers for Bitcoin and Ethereum donations" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> "This account is hacked by John Wick (hckindia@tutanota.com), We have not hacked Paytm Mall," John Wick posted after taking over the Twitter account. The authenticity of the claims could not be immediately verified. The development comes after cyber-risk intelligence firm Cyble on August 30 wrote in a blog post that "John Wick" was able to upload a backdoor/Adminer on Paytm Mall application/website. The group gained unrestricted access to the entire databases of Paytm Mall, Cyble said in the blog post. "According to the messages forwarded to us by the source, the perpetrator claimed the hack happened due to an insider at Paytm Mall. The claims, however, are unverified, but possible," Cyble said. Paytm Mall said that the claims are "absolutely false". "We would like to assure that all users, as well as company data, is completely safe and secure. We invest heavily in our data security, as you would expect," a Paytm Mall spokesperson said in a statement. "We have been investigating the claims of a possible hack and data breach, and haven't found any security lapses yet. "We also have a Bug Bounty programme, under which we reward responsible disclosure of any security risks. We extensively work with the security research community and safely resolve security anomalies," the spokesperson said.
