Sitharaman also announced that the government will launch auction of the first offshore mining blocks and will set up Critical Mineral Mission to acquire assets overseas. She also said Rs 20,000 crore will be allocated for highways in Bihar. Loan limit under MUDRA scheme to be doubled to ₹20 lakh: Sitharaman

He said that the government initiatives like PM Mudra Yojana with 75% women beneficiaries, introduction of 26 weeks of maternity leave and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (the maternity benefit program run by the government) are all empowering women. He said that from women development, the government has turned around its mantra to women-led development. Keeping the upcoming elections in mind, Goyal said that his party – the Bharatiya Janata Party – had promised in its election manifesto to transform the quality of life for women and ensure that “no woman has to shed tears” for cooking. The government has delivered 60 million free LPG connections under the Ujjawala scheme and aims to cover the target of all 80 million households soon.

Budget 2019: Finance Minister Piyush Goyal calls for women-led development

A Times of India report said, speaking at the occasion, the PM said, "We need to increase employment opportunities in the nation." 
 
"Big industrial houses provide jobs to only 1.25 crore people, while small entrepreneurs employ 12 crore people, PM Modi said.

PM Modi launches Mudra bank, to benefit 5.8 cr small businesses

New Delhi, Feb 6 () Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday underlined the need for working together to make India a USD 5 trillion economy, while stressing that the government has been able to maintain macro-economic stability amid tough global environment.In the Lok Sabha, he also exhorted all the members to give suggestions on ways to take advantage of opportunities thrown up by the current global economic situation."Let's move ahead with the resolve to make India a USD 5 trillion economy," he said while replying to a debate on Motion of Thanks to President for his address to Parliament.The prime minister said that steps taken by the government have kept the fiscal deficit and price rise in check. "There is also macro-economic stability."Modi also sought suggestions on increasing income of farmers and fisherman.Talking about the investment climate in the country, he said several measures have been taken to increase the trust of investors in the economy.The prime minister said that foreign direct investment during April-September 2019 increased to USD 26 billion from USD 22 billion in the same period previous year, adding that this reflects confidence of foreign investors in India.The vision of the government, he said, is to ensure greater investment, better infrastructure, increased value addition and maximum job creation.In the coming days, the government is moving ahead with Rs 100 lakh crore infrastructure projects as the sector helps in pushing economic growth and job creation, Modi said."We have taken many initiatives in industry, irrigation, social infrastructure, rural infrastructure, ports, and water ways. Among the things that will drive India's progress is next-generation infrastructure," Modi said adding that Stand up India, Start up India, Mudra schemes are adding prosperity in the lives of people. Further, he said the government is working on labour reforms and that too after consulting the labour unions.Attacking opposition parties, he said driven by politics, some states are not allowing farmers to benefit from the PM-Kisan scheme. "I appeal to them - let there be no politics in farmers welfare. Let's work together to make India USD 5-trn economy: PM

<ul><li>By 2022, all villages will have water, electricity and clean cooking facilities. </li><li>Additional deduction of up to ₹1,50,000 for interest paid on loans borrowed up to March 31, 2020 for purchase of an affordable house valued up to ₹45 lakh. </li><li>Enhance surcharge on individuals having taxable income from ₹2 crore to ₹5 crore and ₹5 crore and above so that effective tax rates for these two categories will increase by around 3 % and 7 % respectively. </li></ul>The Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled her maiden Budget covering aspects of startups, education, home loans, disinvestment and many others. Here are key announcements made by her, from her Budget speech. The Indian economy will grow to become a $3 trillion dollar economyin the current year. In Purchasing Power Parity terms, we are in fact, the third largest economy already, only next to China and the USA. Rail &amp; Land Railways should take up Public Private Partnership in Railways to unleash faster development and completion of tracks, rolling stock manufacturing and delivery of passenger freight services. Current (house) rental laws are archaic and do not address the relationship between the Lessor and the Lessee realistically and fairly. A Model Tenancy Law will also be finalized and circulated to the states. Large public infrastructure can be built on land parcels held by Central Ministries and Central Public Sector Enterprises all across the country. Through innovative instruments such as joint development and concession, public infrastructure and affordable housing will be taken up. Small businesses &amp; Artisans Government will create a payment platform for MSMEs to enable filing of bills and payment thereof on the platform itself. Pension benefits to about three crore retail traders and small shopkeepers whose annual turnover is less than ₹1.5 crore, is extended. The Scheme of Fund for Upgradation and Regeneration of Traditional Industries’ (SFURTI) envisions setting up 100 new clusters during 2019-20 which will aid 50,000 artisans. The Scheme contemplates to set up 80 Livelihood Business Incubators (LBIs) and 20 Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) in 2019-20 to develop 75,000 skilled entrepreneurs in agro-rural industry sectors. FDI &amp; Disinvestment The Government will examine suggestions of further opening up of FDI in aviation, media (animation, AVGC) and insurance sectors in consultation with all stakeholders. 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) will be permitted for insurance intermediaries. Local sourcing norms will be eased for FDI in single brand retail sector. I propose to increase the statutory limit for foreign portfolio investors (FPI) investment in a company from 24% to sectoral foreign investment limit with option given to the concerned corporates to limit it to a lower threshold. FPIs will be permitted to subscribe to listed debt securities issued by ReITs and InvITs. The cumulative resources garnered through Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and toll operate transfers exceeded ₹24,000 crore. Government is setting an enhanced target of ₹1,05,000 crore of disinvestment receipts for the financial year 2019-20. It is right time to consider increasing minimum public shareholding in the listed companies. I have asked SEBI to consider raising the current threshold of 25% to 35%. I propose to initiate steps towards creating an electronic fund raising platform – a social stock exchange - under SEBI to list social enterprises. Rural Growth By 2022, I would like to assure the nation that every single rural family, except those who are unwilling to take the connection will have electricity and a clean cooking facility. In the second phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana –Gramin, 1.95 crore houses are proposed to be provided to the eligible beneficiaries. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana phase III will look to upgrade 1,25,000kms of roads over the next five years, with an estimated cost ofRs 80,250 crore. Water &amp; Sanitation Ensuring India’s water security and providing access to safe and adequate drinking water to all Indians is a priority of the Government. A new Mantralaya will look at the management of water resources. It will work to ensure Har Ghar Jal (piped water supply) to all rural households by 2024 under the Jal Jeevan Mission. More than 95% of cities also have been declared ODF. More than 45,000 public and community toilets across 1700 cities have been uploaded on Google maps, covering more than 53% of India’s urban population. Women &amp; Education An amount of₹400 crore has been provided under the head, “World Class Institutions”, for FY 2019-20, more than three times the revised estimates for the previous year. I propose to start a programme, ‘Study in India’, that will focus on bringing foreign students to study in our higher educational institutions For every verified women SHG self-help group member having a Jan Dhan Bank Account, an overdraft of 5,000 shall be allowed. One woman in every SHG will also be made eligible for a loan up to1 lakh under the MUDRA scheme. Banks &amp; NBFCs Public Sector Banks are now proposed to be further provided ₹70,000 crore capital to boost credit for a strong impetus to the economy. For purchase of high-rated pooled assets of financially sound NBFCs, amounting to a total of Rupees one lakh crore during the current financial year, Government will provide one time six months' partial credit guarantee to Public Sector Banks for first loss of up to 10%. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the regulator for NBFCs.However, RBI has limited regulatory authority over NBFCs.Appropriate proposals for strengthening the regulatory authority of RBI over NBFCs are being placed in the Finance Bill. I am proposing to return the regulation authority over the housing finance sector from NHB to RBI. To facilitate on-shoring of international insurance transactions and to enable opening of branches by foreign reinsurers in the International Financial Services Centre, it is proposed to reduce Net Owned Fund requirement from₹ 5,000 crore to₹1,000 crore. India’s sovereign external debt to GDP is among the lowest globally at less than 5%. The Government would start raising a part of its gross borrowing programme in external markets in external currencies. Lowering Tax We continue with phased reduction in corporate tax rates. Currently, the lower rate of 25% is only applicable to companies having annual turnover up to ₹250 crore. I propose to widen this to include all companies having annual turnover up to ₹400 crore. This will cover 99.3% of the companies. Our government will provide additional income tax deduction of ₹1.5 lakh on the interest paid on loans taken to purchase electric vehicles. This amounts to a benefit of around ₹2.5 lakh over the loan period to the taxpayers who take loans to purchase electric vehicle. Interest paid on housing loans is allowed as a deduction to the extent of ₹2 lakh in respect of self-occupied property. I propose to allow an additional deduction of up to ₹1,50,000 for interest paid on loans borrowed up to March 31, 2020 for purchase of an affordable house valued up to₹45 lakh. This will translate into a benefit of around ₹7 lakh to the middle class home-buyers over their loan period of 15 years. Levying taxes I propose to levy tax deducted at source TDS of 2% on cash withdrawal exceeding ₹1 crore in a year from a bank account. Business establishments with annual turnover more than ₹50 crore shall offer such low cost digital modes of payment to their customers and no charges or Merchant Discount Rate shall be imposed on customers as well as merchants. I propose to enhance surcharge onindividualshaving taxable income from ₹2 crore to ₹5 crore and ₹5 crore and above so that effective tax rates for these two categories will increase by around 3 % and 7 % respectively. Duties Import of defence equipment that are not being manufactured in India are being exempted from basic customs duty. To encourage domestic publishing and printing industry, 5% custom duty is being imposed on imported books. I propose to increase Special Additional Excise duty and Road and Infrastructure Cess each by one Rupee a litre on petrol and diesel. It is also proposed to increase custom duty on gold and other precious metals from 10% to 12.5%. Nominal basic excise duty is being imposed on tobacco products and crude oil. Aadhar &amp; Startups I propose to consider issuing Aadhaar Card for Non-Resident Indians with Indian Passports after their arrival in India without waiting for 180 days. I propose to make PAN and Aadhaar interchangeable and allow those who do not have PAN to fileIncome Taxreturns by simply quoting their Aadhaar number andalso use it wherever they are required to quote PAN. <keyword id="6354814" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="prime-minister-Narendra-Modi">Prime Minister Narendra Modi</keyword> made a bold move and declared Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes as void starting midnight. 
 In his address to the entire nation, Modi said the decision was taken to clamp down on <keyword id="6356023" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Black-Money">black money</keyword>. 
 
He urged Indians to bear with temporary hardships in the implementation of the new rule. 
 
"We are No 1 in rate of economic growth. Despite some progress, India still ranks at No 76 in world rankings for perception of corruption,” said Modi. 
 
Modi said persons holding old notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 can deposit these notes in their bank or post office accounts from November 10 till close of banking hours on December 30, 2016 without any limit.

My dear citizens 
 
I hope you ended the festive season of Diwali with joy and new hope. Today, I will be speaking to you about some critical issues and important decisions. Today I want to make a special request to all of you. You may recall the economic situation in May 2014 when you entrusted us with an onerous responsibility. In the context of BRICS, it was being said that the “I” in BRICS was shaky. Since then, we had two years of severe drought. Yet, in the last two and a half years with the support of 125 crore Indians, India has become the “bright spot” in the global economy. It is not just we who are saying this; it is being stated by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. 
 
In this effort for development, our motto has been ‘Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas’: We are with all citizens and for development of all citizens. This Government is dedicated to the poor. It will remain dedicated to them. In our fight against poverty, our main thrust has been to empower the poor, and make them active participants in the benefits of economic progress. 
 
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, 
 
the Jan Suraksha Yojana, 
 
the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana for small enterprises, 
 
the Stand-up India programme for Dalits, Adivasis and Women, 
 
the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme for gas connections in the homes of the poor, 
 
the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Beema Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana to protect the income of farmers, 
 
the Soil Health Card Scheme to ensure the best possible yield from farmers’ fields, 
 
and the e-NAM National Market Place scheme to ensure farmers get the right price for their produce 
 
—these are all reflections of this approach. 
 
In the past decades, the spectre of corruption and black money has grown. It has weakened the effort to remove poverty. On the one hand, we are now No. 1 in the rate of economic growth. But on the other hand, we were ranked close to one hundred in the global corruption perceptions ranking two years back. In spite of many steps taken, we have only been able to reach a ranking of seventy-six now. Of course, there is improvement. This shows the extent to which corruption and black money have spread their tentacles. 
 
The evil of corruption has been spread by certain sections of society for their selfish interest. They have ignored the poor and cornered benefits. Some people have misused their office for personal gain. On the other hand, honest people have fought against this evil. Crores of common men and women have lived lives of integrity. We hear about poor auto-rickshaw drivers returning gold ornaments left in the vehicles to their rightful owners. We hear about taxi drivers who take pains to locate the owners of cell phones left behind. We hear of vegetable vendors who return excess money given by customers. 
 
There comes a time in the history of a country’s development when a need is felt for a strong and decisive step. For years, this country has felt that corruption, black money and terrorism are festering sores, holding us back in the race towards development. 
 
Terrorism is a frightening threat. So many have lost their lives because of it. But have you ever thought about how these terrorists get their money? Enemies from across the border run their operations using fake currency notes. This has been going on for years. Many times, those using fake five hundred and thousand rupee notes have been caught and many such notes have been seized. 
 
Brothers and sisters, 
 
On the one hand is the problem of terrorism; on the other is the challenge posed by corruption and black money. We began our battle against corruption by setting up an SIT headed by a retired Supreme Court judge, immediately upon taking office. Since then 
 
• a law was passed in 2015 for disclosure of foreign black money; 
 
• agreements with many countries, including the USA, have been made to add provisions for sharing banking information; 
 
• a strict law has come into force from August 2016 to curb benami transactions, which are used to deploy black money earned through corruption; 
 
• a scheme was introduced for declaring black money after paying a stiff penalty; 
 
My dear countrymen, 
 
Through all these efforts, in the last two and a half years, we have brought into the open nearly 1 lakh 25 thousand crore rupees of black money belonging to the corrupt. Honest citizens want this fight against corruption, black money, benami property, terrorism and counterfeiting to continue. Which honest citizen would not be pained by reports of crores worth of currency notes stashed under the beds of government officers? Or by reports of cash found in gunny bags? 
 
The magnitude of cash in circulation is directly linked to the level of corruption. Inflation becomes worse through the deployment of cash earned in corrupt ways. The poor have to bear the brunt of this. It has a direct effect on the purchasing power of the poor and the middle class. You may yourself have experienced when buying land or a house, that apart from the amount paid by cheque, a large amount is demanded in cash. This creates problems for an honest person in buying property. The misuse of cash has led to artificial increase in the cost of goods and services like houses, land, higher education, health care and so on. 
 
High circulation of cash also strengthens the hawala trade which is directly connected to black money and illegal trade in weapons. Debate on the role of black money in elections has been going on for years. 
 
Brothers and sisters, 
 
To break the grip of corruption and black money, we have decided that the five hundred rupee and thousand rupee currency notes presently in use will no longer be legal tender from midnight tonight, that is 8th November 2016. This means that these notes will not be acceptable for transactions from midnight onwards. The five hundred and thousand rupee notes hoarded by anti-national and anti-social elements will become just worthless pieces of paper. The rights and the interests of honest, hard-working people will be fully protected. Let me assure you that notes of one hundred, fifty, twenty, ten, five, two and one rupee and all coins will remain legal tender and will not be affected. 
 
This step will strengthen the hands of the common man in the fight against corruption, black money and fake currency. To minimise the difficulties of citizens in the coming days, several steps are being taken. 
 
1. Persons holding old notes of five hundred or one thousand rupees can deposit these notes in their bank or post office accounts from 10th November till close of banking hours on 30th December 2016 without any limit. 
 
2. Thus you will have 50 days to deposit your notes and there is no need for panic. 
 
3. Your money will remain yours. You need have no worry on this point. 
 
4. After depositing your money in your account, you can draw it when you need it. 
 
5. Keeping in mind the supply of new notes, in the first few days, there will be a limit of ten thousand rupees per day and twenty thousand rupees per week. This limit will be increased in the coming days. 
 
6. Apart from depositing your notes in your bank account, another facility will also be there. 
 
7. For your immediate needs, you can go to any bank, head post office or sub post office, show your identity proof like Aadhaar card, voter card, ration card, passport, PAN card or other approved proofs, and exchange your old five hundred or thousand rupee notes for new notes. 
 
8. From 10th November till 24th November the limit for such exchange will be four thousand rupees. From 25th November till 30th December, the limit will be increased. 
 
9. There may be some who, for some reason, are not able to deposit their old five hundred or thousand rupee notes by 30th December 2016. 
 
10. They can go to specified offices of the Reserve Bank of India up to 31st March 2017 and deposit the notes after submitting a declaration form. 
 
11. On 9th November and in some places on 10th November also, ATMs will not work. In the first few days, there will be a limit of two thousand rupees per day per card. 
 
12. This will be raised to four thousand rupees later. 
 
13. Five hundred and thousand rupee notes will not be legal tender from midnight. However for humanitarian reasons, to reduce hardship to citizens, some special arrangements have been made for the first 72 hours, that is till midnight on 11th November. 
 
14. During this period, government hospitals will continue to accept five hundred and thousand rupee notes for payment. 
 
15. This is for the benefit of those families whose members may be unwell. 
 
16. Pharmacies in government hospitals will also accept these notes for buying medicines with doctors’ prescription. 
 
17. For 72 hours, till midnight on 11th November, railway ticket booking counters, ticket counters of government buses and airline ticket counters at airports will accept the old notes for purchase of tickets. This is for the benefit of those who may be travelling at this time. 
 
18. For 72 hours, five hundred and thousand rupee notes will be accepted also at 
 
• Petrol, diesel and CNG gas stations authorised by public sector oil companies 
 
• Consumer co-operative stores authorised by State or Central Government 
 
• Milk booths authorised by State governments 
 
• Crematoria and burial grounds. 
 
These outlets will have to keep proper records of stock and collections. 
 
19. Arrangements will be made at international airports for arriving and departing passengers who have five hundred or thousand rupee notes of not more than five thousand rupees, to exchange them for new notes or other legal tender. 
 
20. Foreign tourists will be able to exchange foreign currency or old notes of not more than Rs 5000 into legal tender. 
 
21. One more thing I would like to mention, I want to stress that in this entire exercise, there is no restriction of any kind on non-cash payments by cheques, demand drafts, debit or credit cards and electronic fund transfer. 
 
Brothers and sisters, 
 
In spite of all these efforts there may be temporary hardships to be faced by honest citizens. Experience tells us that ordinary citizens are always ready to make sacrifices and face difficulties for the benefit of the nation. I see that spirit when a poor widow gives up her LPG subsidy, when a retired school teacher contributes his pension to the Swacch Bharat mission, when a poor Adivasi mother sells her goats to build a toilet, when a soldier contributes 57 thousand rupees to make his village clean. I have seen that the ordinary citizen has the determination to do anything, if it will lead to the country’s progress. 
 
So, in this fight against corruption, black money, fake notes and terrorism, in this movement for purifying our country, will our people not put up with difficulties for some days? I have full confidence that every citizen will stand up and participate in this ‘mahayagna’. My dear countrymen, after the festivity of Diwali, now join the nation and extend your hand in this Imandaari ka Utsav, this Pramanikta ka Parv, this celebration of integrity, this festival of credibility. 
 
I am sure that all political parties, all governments, social services organizations, the media and indeed all sections of the society will take part in this with enthusiasm and make it a success.

Secrecy was essential for this action. It is only now, as I speak to you, that various agencies like banks, post offices, railways, hospitals and others are being informed. The Reserve Bank, banks and post offices have to make many arrangements at very short notice. Obviously, time will be needed. Therefore all banks will be closed to the public on 9th November. This may cause some hardship to you. I have full faith that banks and post offices will successfully carry out this great task of national importance. However, I appeal to all of you to help the banks and post offices to meet this challenge with poise and determination. 
 
My dear citizens, 
 
From time to time, based on currency needs, the Reserve Bank with the approval of the Central Government brings out new notes of higher value. In 2014, the Reserve Bank sent a recommendation for issue of five thousand and ten thousand rupee notes. After careful consideration, this was not accepted. Now as part of this exercise, RBI’s recommendation to issue two thousand rupee notes has been accepted. New notes of five hundred rupees and two thousand rupees, with completely new design will be introduced. Based on past experience, the Reserve Bank will hereafter make arrangements to limit the share of high denomination notes in the total currency in circulation. 
 
In a country’s history, there come moments when every person feels he too should be part of that moment, that he too should make his contribution to the country’s progress. Such moments come but rarely. Now, we again have an opportunity where every citizen can join this mahayajna against the ills of corruption, black money and fake notes. The more help you give in this campaign, the more successful it will be. 
 
It has been a matter of concern for all of us that corruption and black money tend to be accepted as part of life. This type of thinking has afflicted our politics, our administration and our society like an infestation of termites. None of our public institutions is free from these termites. 
 
Time and again, I have seen that when the average citizen has to choose between accepting dishonesty and bearing inconvenience, they always choose to put up with inconvenience. They will not support dishonesty. 
 
Once again, let me invite you to make your contribution to this grand sacrifice for cleansing our country, just as you cleaned up your surroundings during Diwali. 
 
Let us ignore the temporary hardship 
 
Let us join this festival of integrity and credibility 
 
Let us enable coming generations to live their lives with dignity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on emergence of <keyword id="597447" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rupay">RuPay</keyword> cards at the Delhi Economics Conclave hinted RuPay could end the dominance of <keyword id="6368201" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="MasterCard">MasterCard</keyword> and <keyword id="6359421" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Visa">Visa</keyword>. 
 
Apparently, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is also looking to promote RuPay, which is an alternative to MasterCard and Visa. 
 
The competition in debit and credit card space, which is dominated by the international market, can take India a long way. In this regard, RuPay, which was launched in 2012, has done well for itself, as reportedly 36% of debit cards in India is RuPay, claimed by Modi. 
 
ET reported that following the initiatives of the government on financial inclusion, the NPCI, jointly owned by banks, is making strong headway in the business. 
 
AP Hota, MD and chief at NPCI, told ET, "We have one-thirds market share and it is growing gradually. We have 20% market share in transactions and that percentage is growing month-on-month. Every day there are 10 million transactions done via cards and RuPay is at 2 million and picking up." 
 
Modi’s Jan Dhan Yojana gave RuPay a new lease of life as out of 222 million RuPay cards in circulation, nearly 170 million are linked to Jan-Dhan accounts and only 52 million cards are mainstream as of October. 
 
However, RuPay still has a long way to go as they are used for 20% of the overall transaction of more than 2 million a day. 
 
Experts point out that that market should be competition driven than mandate-driven competition. 
 
As per reports, for every point of sale and e-commerce transaction RuPay charges a fixed fee of 90 paise - 60 paise from the issuing bank and 30 paise from the acquiring bank, while Visa and MasterCard would charge Rs 3 per transaction. 
 
"The government wanted PMJDY cards to be done in a period of one year and we gave 170 million cards. I wonder if Visa and MasterCard could have achieved this. The government wanted us to do Mudra cards. In just one week we did the design, issuance and product rollout of the cards.Who could have done this? I wonder if they (Visa and MasterCard) could have done this within 6 months,” said Hota.

Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword> will review next week the implementation status of some key decisions taken by the Union Cabinet, including those taken way back in July 2014. 

	Scheduled for February 17, this will be the second such review meeting that Modi will undertake with the Council of Ministers in just about three weeks.
 

	The 27 decisions of the Cabinet and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs whose implementation status would be reviewed include the amendments to the Factories Act and the Apprentices Act, which were cleared over one and a half years ago in July 2014, sources told PTI.
 

	PM Modi had chaired a similar meeting of the Council of Ministers on January 27 as well.
 Other decisions slated for implementation status review are setting up of a <keyword id="974618" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Credit-Guarantee-Fund">Credit Guarantee Fund</keyword> for providing guarantees to loans extended under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, operationalisation of Budget announcement of 2015-16 on the Atal Pension Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. The prime minister will also check progress in the <keyword id="2473706" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pradhan-Mantri-Jan-Dhan-Yojana">Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana</keyword>, the <keyword id="6562839" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Swacch-Bharat-Mission">Swacch Bharat Mission</keyword> for urban areas, the Housing for All by 2022 mission, the <keyword id="946830" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Skill-Development-Mission">National Skill Development Mission</keyword>, the National Health Mission and the Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana. 

	Other such decisions relate to the National Ayush Mission, amendment to the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, 2014, setting up three new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Mangalagiri, Nagpur and Kalyani and strengthening of the drug regulatory system.
 

	The decisions relating to setting up of six new IITs and IIMs, amendment to the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965, and the nationwide celebration of 125th birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar will also figure in the status review.

"The Indian economy has witnessed positive transformation in the last 10 years. Our development steps have covered all elements of inclusivity," she said. This is the final budget of the second term of the Narendra Modi government before the country heads to elections later this summer. Sitharaman stressed on the government's aim to make India developed -- Viksit Bharat – by 2047. The government has tried to provide inclusive development and growth, both socially and geographically, she said in the opening minutes of her sixth budget speech as the country’s finance minister. Here's a list of 16 action points laid down by Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman. 1. Government to push for renewable energy through PM KUSUM scheme. 15 lakh additional pumps to be setup. Use of barren land for generation of solar power to be promoted. 2. Government to also push for water conservation in 100 water stressed districts. 3. Government to encourage states to takeup model agricultural laws. 4. Balanced used of all kinds of fertilizers, organic and synthetic/chemical fertilizers. This is a necessary step to stop the excessive use of chemical fertilizers. We want to promote the use of organic and innovative fertilizers and revise the incentives for chemical fertilizers. 5. Village storage schemes to be operated by SHGs. This will provide villagers better storage capacities. Women SHGs can use this opportunity to regain their position as "Dhan Lakshi" and they can avail Mudra loans for opening storage facilities. To build a national cold supply chain, Indian Railways will set up a Kisan Rail to transfer perishable goods easily. Krishi UDAN will be launched by Civil Aviation ministry to help north-east and tribal districts. NABARD to also take up geo-tagging of agricultural warehouses, cold storages and other inventories. 6. Adricultural credit avaulability to be set at 15 lakh crore. 7. Government aims to eliminate foot and mouth diseases in sheep and goats by 2025. 8. 9. Horticulture sector with its current product of 311 million metric tonnes exceeds the production of food grains. Government will not take it to one product one district. 10. Zero budget natural farming: Online national organic products market is being strengthened. 11. Financing negotiable warehouse receipts 12. Non banking finance companies, active in the adricultural space, the NABARD credit scheme will be expanded. For this scheme, 1.5 lakh crore is set aside. 13. Reduce diseases in cattle. 14. 108 million metirc tonners of milk production to be increased to 108 million metric tonnes. 14. 15. Proposed fish production to 200 lakh tonnes. Government will involve youth in fish production through more than 3000 'sagar mitras'. 16. 58 lakh SHGs have been mobilised under poverty alleviation program.
