And, no before you even think of it, let’s tell you, it’s not another Roast. (Though we wish it was) 
 
Not just happy with being infamous for the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/AIB-You-Have-A-Right-To-Offend-But/articleshow/46144426.cms">AIB Roast</a> which made <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Ranveer-Singh-takes-to-Live-Blogging-his-day/articleshow/48972499.cms">Ranveer Singh</a> and Arjun Kapoor the victims of insult comedy, aided with a cameo by Karan Johar, the band of funny boys decided it’s time they take their notorious reputation to smaller screens. Literally. 
 
Eight months after their Roast, the comedy group launched the trailer for their next big project in association with Star and the all new Hotstar platform. 
 
The group has come up with a solution for all those complaining about how India has nothing that can match up to the likes of ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ or <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/India-doesnt-deserve-its-own-version-of-Last-Week-Tonight-and-heres-why/articleshow/48746556.cms">‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’</a> despite the country being a goldmine of laws, policies and politicians that can be mocked, ridiculed and laughed at. 
 
According to their trailer, the bad boys of comedy will be soon seen hosting a news comedy show, which would be aired on <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Satyamev-Jayate-2-Helps-Star-Plus-Cross-700-TVM-Mark-Again/articleshow/31994810.cms">Star Plus</a>, Star World and Hotstar. Titled ‘<keyword id="3056725" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="On-Air-with-AIB">On Air with AIB</keyword>,’ the weekly series premiering on October will have 10 episodes each in Hindi and English. 
 
 
 The video, which already has 129,635 views shows Tanmay Bhatt, Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya and Gurshiman Khambha walk in to the Star Office and bump into two fans who are suffering from the ‘Oh my god. You guys did the roast. Still can’t make up our minds on whether it was awesome or against Indian culture but oh my god you guys did the Roast’ syndrome and who assume that the fantastic four are at the Star Office to pitch Round 2 of the <keyword id="2700836" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="AIB-Roast">AIB Roast</keyword>. 
 
The four try their best to convince the two that their new show will hardly be anything like the AIB Roast in vain as the two are convinced that despite AIB’s claims of the new show being ‘a news space comedy,’ it will still bear resemblance to the slapstick comedy displayed in their previous project. 
 Giving AIB tough competition in the humour department, <keyword id="17943" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="star-india">Star India</keyword> CEO uday Shankar while talking to IndianTelevision.com, said, "I am told that based on extensive, exhaustive research, AIB are considered mildly entertaining and we should give them a show on our network. I have complete faith that we will regret this in the months to come." 
 
Granted, AIB making their debut on television is great news, considering the quality of content on the idiot box is worse than the plot of Hero (if there was one), the big question still is, will AIB be successful in shying away from their slapstick, overdramatic brand of comedy and herald the onset of intelligent comedy on the small screen and more importantly, is that even possible? 
 
Guess, we’ll have to wait and watch.

On Air with AIB: Our favourite comedy group is making their debut on TV!

Indian offensive capacity is all set to take a huge leap as India and <keyword id="6356806" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Moscow">Moscow</keyword> as they have inked a deal at <keyword id="175259" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Brics">BRICS</keyword> to develop a new generation of <keyword id="42900" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="BrahMos">Brahmos</keyword> with a range of more than 600 km to take down protected targets in Pakistan. 
 With Indo-Pak tension rising after the surgical strike, these missile can be of great use as the range of the new gen missile have a range that enables India to strike anywhere in Pakistan. <keyword id="6358826" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Russia">Russia</keyword> can also help in the production of these missiles. 
 
The present Brahmos has a current range of 300km and this makes it difficult to hit target that are deep onside Pakistan. This new gen Brahmos will enable India to take down specific targets deep inside Pakistan and further making it a game changer in any conflict with Pakistan. 
 
Brahmos is a cruise missile and this means that it is similar to a pilot-less fighter jet that can be maneuvered in flight, programmed to attack targets from any angle and evade enemy missile defence systems. 
 The agreement between India and Russia was signed during the bilateral Summit at Goa and it also included development of missiles with smaller range that can be fired from submarines and aircraft. The deal was not made public at the summit, where other projects like sale of frigates and the S-400 air defence system purchase were announced. However, <keyword id="43440" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vladimir-Putin">Vladimir Putin</keyword> told journalists from his country that the missile deal has also been signed. 
 "We have also agreed to improve the Brahmos missile, which will be land, air and sea launched. We will also work to increase its range. And we will work together on a fifth-generation aircraft," <keyword id="6355086" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="putin">Putin</keyword> said. 
 
Though, it has been confirmed by the Indian officials that India was involved in negotiations. They also confirmed that a pact to double the range of the Brahmos missile was finalised.

India is all set to produce long range missiles that can take down targets deep inside Pakistan

<keyword id="6400882" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="TVF">TVF</keyword> is on a roll. With their Pitchers series and ‘Tu Beer Hai *ahem ahem*’ getting accolades across the country, they’ve recently launched the 2nd Season of Permanent Roommates. 
 For the uninitiated, <keyword id="2997521" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="TVF-Pitchers">TVF Pitchers</keyword> is about four friends, Naveen Bansal (Naveen), Jitendra Maheshwari (Jitu), Yogendra Kumar (Yogi), and Saurabh Mandal (Mandal) launching their own start-up. 
 
The series revolves around how these four friends rediscover what they really want from life and the challenges they face to get their off the ground. 
 Business Insider India spoke to <keyword id="1362593" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Arunabh-Kumar">Arunabh Kumar</keyword>, the CEO of The Viral Fever on how it all started. 
 
How did you stumble upon this idea? 
I wrote TVF Pitches back in July 2012. The idea back then was to write a startup comedy. 
 
It took us 3 years, but it couldn’t have been timed better. 2015 is when the startup boom happened, and we decided to tell an aspirational story rather than give it a comic treatment. That’s how it started, the rest is history. 
 
What was the core idea? 
For startups it’s always about pitching. The idea was to have a series on Pitchers - people who pitch till the evening and sit over a pitcher in the evening.People say Bangalore’s a copy of Silicon Valley. They couldn’t be more mistaken. 
 
What was your research like? 
I passed out of IIT Kharagpur in 2006, and 2008 was when a lot of this started. I remember meeting Abhishek, a friend who had invested in Flipkart, a company that sold second hand books. Me and Golu met a couple of startups in Bangalore. There were friends in IIT Bombay. 
 We wanted to keep it very real. That’s why we also got <keyword id="192201" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kunal-Shah">Kunal Shah</keyword> and <keyword id="219793" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kunal-Bahl">Kunal Bahl</keyword> to feature in it. 
 
What has the reaction been so far? 
‘Tu Beer hai’ has become the new startup phrase. One couldn’t have asked for more.The series has gone on to become the 22nd best show globally. Many more will discover it with the upcoming 2nd season. 
 
Next Season? When’s that? 
By the end of the year. 
 
Will you consider a TV Series like On Air with <keyword id="1875393" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="AIB">AIB</keyword>? 
We’re in talks with several networks, but that’s a different art form altogether. They’re (AIB) the best guys to do it. We generally work on fiction. 
 
What triggered the standup comedy boom in India? 
The credit goes to people like Rivaldo and AIB. That way people have started laughing, and developed a sense of humor. 
 
Creators have also realized it’s the easier thing to do over the tedious art direction and costume designing, writing and editing. 
 
If you write well and are a goof performer you can pick up a mike and get going! 
 
Do you think it was the tipping point of intolerance or the comic buildup that helped? 
I think it was a gradual buildup. The <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=AIB">AIB</a> Roast controversy was really the trigger. When you have idols to aim to it makes the job so much easier. It helps the ecosystem. It’s a welcome change. 
 
What’s your idea of the under 35 young and progressive Indian youth? 
They’re sensible, honest and want to watch quality entertainment. 
 
It’s more than the horniness, booze and profanity. The problem really is that the content generators know only these. The creators need to work really hard. The industry can’t be lazy and replicate tried-and-tested models. 
 
Your advice to a to-be YouTuber. 
Enjoy the process rather than the result. 
 
If you enjoy making videos you’ll end up becoming a film-maker . If you like the idea of being a film-maker, you’ll end up being no one.

The AIB's initial findings present data from the crashed plane's flight data recorder (FDR) which shows that faulty readings from a malfunctioning angle-of-attack (AOA) sensor triggered the 737 Max's Maneuvering Characteristic Augmentation System (MCAS) that is designed to automatically push the nose of the plane downward. "Shortly after liftoff, the value of the left angle of attack sensor deviated from the right one and reached 74.5 degrees while the right angle of attack sensor value was 15.3 degrees," the report said. In a statement, Boeing confirmed that the AOA sensor triggered MCAS just like it had done on Lion Air Flight JT610, which crashed on October 28 off the coast of Indonesia. "The preliminary report contains flight data recorder information indicating the airplane had an erroneous angle of attack sensor input that activated the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) function during the flight, as it had during the Lion Air 610 flight," Boeing said. Boeing aircraft have been grounded before. In 2013, the then-brand-new 787-8 Dreamliner was grounded for several months after its lithium-ion battery-powered electrical showed a tendency to catch fire. The plane has gone on to be one of the popular long-haul airliners in the world with little to no stigma attached to it at all.But things are different for the 737 Max. First, it has to convince airlines that they should continue to operate the 737 Max.  Bieber's 'roast' will be aired in India on April 1 on <keyword id="261768" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Comedy-Central">Comedy Central</keyword>, within 24 hours of its US telecast. The "Baby" hitmaker will be seen being "roasted" by comedian <keyword id="2773580" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Hannibal-Buress">Hannibal Buress</keyword>, actor Chris D'elia, rapper <keyword id="24691" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="snoop-dogg">Snoop Dogg</keyword>, actress <keyword id="2771069" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="natasha-leggero">Natasha Leggero</keyword>, rapper <keyword id="145268" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ludacris">Ludacris</keyword>, TV personality Shaquille O'neal, director <keyword id="2781856" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jeffrey-Ross">Jeffrey Ross</keyword> and writer <keyword id="107528" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Martha-Stewart">Martha Stewart</keyword>. 
 He will face barbs from a variety of entertainers, including the "Roast Master General" - comedian <keyword id="338324" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jeff-Ross">Jeff Ross</keyword> who has promised the "best roast ever" for the singer earlier this month, and that nothing will be off limits. 
 The Indian 'roast' -- AIB Knockout -- which was released in January, saw a star-studded crowd with tinsel town's <keyword id="598" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Deepika-Padukone">Deepika Padukone</keyword>, <keyword id="62210" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sonakshi-Sinha">Sonakshi Sinha</keyword>, Anurag Kashyap and many more in attendance.

India can view Justin Beiber's 'roast' on Fool's Day

At a time when sense of humour in India is a debatable, questionable and arguable topic, comic legend <keyword id="5630" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jerry-Seinfeld">Jerry Seinfeld</keyword> decides to visit India. He will be performing in, Mumbai on March 14 and 15 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Worli. This is a double treat for his <keyword id="207039" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="legendary-comedian">legendary comedian</keyword>’s fans since this is the first time ever he would be performing in India, and the whole of Asia, so to say. 
 
The tickets are priced merely at Rs 7,500 per head. And no, we aren’t kidding, okay! 
 People who grew up watching Jerry <keyword id="5631" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Seinfeld">Seinfeld</keyword> have been watching re-runs since the longest time now. Because, the world famous comedian stopped his series nearly 17 years ago. So, in just about a year, a kid who would be born when he stopped airing his episodes, will get to vote if elections are held anytime next year. It has really been THAT long since he regaled people. His legion, however, hasn’t forgotten him yet. 
 
The Emmy and Golden Globe winning comedian was super good at playing a semi-fictional version of self in one of the most popular sitcoms ever in the history of television. In Mumbai, he will be offering a double treat to his fans, by staging two shows! 
 But really, Seinfeld would have been in India much earlier if the original storyline which was based on <keyword id="84280" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Harold-Pinter">Harold Pinter</keyword>’s play of the same name ‘The Betrayal’. There were scenes which were to be shot in India, but were deleted for some reason. 
 
Now, all this is not really important when we think of the time when Seinfeld has decided to perform in India. Who will the joke be on? The recent AIB Roast has proved even humour can be double sided, and there’s not much left to laugh in the country. Actors don’t agree with the tone and tenor, and then there are stand up comedians who would insist their script is sacred over people’s ability to laugh or to get offended, whichever happens first. 
 
The Brooklyn-born co-creator of Seinfeld series insists India has always fascinated him. The culture amazes him. And he says he is very excited to be here, and ‘make fun in person’. Till this point, all is well with the plot. But then, things begin to get a little knotty here for two reasons. One, like we already mentioned, the issue of ‘sense of humour’ of people in general especially post the AIB Roast phase. Now, added complication comes through in another form. Post-Barack Obama visit, India has not been too very excited to roll out a red carpet to people who come here on invitation/or on their own and then go back to make some really ‘hurtful’ observations about the country. If monolithic observations are all that you can make, India is the best country to avoid since it isn’t an easy nut to crack on one visit. So, you see, the plot is getting all complicated with a diplomatic issue taking the centre stage. Nah, we were simply kidding, of course! 
 
But, really at a time when humour has turned into a premium, one anticipation would be about how the people would respond since Seinfeld is bound to crack some clever one liners involving politicians and their ways. Hopefully, his script writer has done enough homework on India’s cultural challenges and hasn’t written anything that would sound insensitive or invoke angry reactions from people. 
 
Because, given the city of Mumbai, which has high resilience towards life the city is also known for violent reactions to something that doesn’t go down too well with the given temperament of the people and the city. And then, there is also a hope that city will laugh with Seinfeld too! 
In a way, it would also be a relief that apart from diplomatic visits and disappointments, Seinfeld is in India to regale people. May be, just maybe, he will learn to appreciate a thing or two about Indian way of life without getting too shallow about it. Because when you look at the west, a joke is good way of bonding; but a ridicule can snap bridges forever.

Seinfeld in India: Well-timed or ill-timed?

There is variation, colour, and uniqueness in <keyword id="6355784" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="death">death</keyword> that indoor pollution brings with it. Things that you have fallen in love with and think you cannot live without can sometimes enter your <keyword id="6360041" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="life">life</keyword> to take it… and this isn’t a hyperbole. Look at perfumes, hair sprays, furniture polish, glues, air fresheners, moth repellents, wood preservatives synthetic materials for building and furnishing and you’ll know what I am talking about. Then there is use of chemical products, pesticides, and household care products that help you transform your home into a swachch home but certainly not a safe home. These are all modern day symbols of the immortal art of Da Vinci as our print and AV ads would want us to believe, but they inch us closer to death in more than one way. 
 You taste, touch, or inhale and you’ll know what I mean when I call them the <keyword id="2750177" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Da-Vinci-of-death">Da Vinci of death</keyword>. Even the smoke from biofuels emits the four dreaded pollutants like the particulates, carbon monoxide, polycyclic organic matter, and formaldehyde… and these aren’t innocent spirals of smoke lending that unique flavour to chapatis and dal. With architects now recommending relatively airtight houses even in India (as we have begun to afford air conditioners and radiators etc) the pollutant level is bound to increase because of the resultant reduction in ventilation. 
 
As I sat mulling over these grim facts, my thoughts decided to play a little game on me and asked, ‘Any favourite pollutions that you think should be flogged?’ 
 
Without wasting a moment, I said, ‘Noise pollution. Political pollution. Indoor pollution.’ 
 
‘Aha!’ said my thoughts, ‘so you don’t think outdoor pollution is as bad as the three you’ve mentioned.’ 
 
‘I didn’t say that, did I?’ I said, ‘but I must admit that indoor pollution can induce infections, initiate lung cancer, and even pulmonary diseases like asthma.’ My thoughts then asked me to choose five Bollywood icons and guess how they would react to this simple question: ‘Do you fear indoor pollution?’ 
 
So, there I was sitting on an inexpensive chair in my sparsely decorated home and zipping over to people like Alia Bhatt, Amjad Khan or Gabbar, Sunny Leone, SRK, and Amitabh Bachchan to hear the famous actors say something in their own way. 
 
Well, Alia Bhatt asked me to repeat the question and then clapped her hands and said, ‘I don’t fear anything but do send me an invite for the event.’ 
 
‘Event?’ I asked, confused. 
 
‘Well yes, you did mention pollution and indoor… remember?’ said Alia, cocking her head, smiling, and adding, ‘I think you’re talking about an indoor event and if it is like that AIB Roast, it is going to be fun. Such events must be purified by smiles.’ Well, so that was a rather short interview with Alia and she wasn’t really wrong… we need to begin with a confident smile before we take any action against indoor pollution. Right? 
 
Gabbar was in his elements when I met and simply walked up and down the room before asking, ‘Kitne pollution hain?’ 
 
I said, ‘Sardar, ek… sirf indoor pollution hai.’ 
 
‘Toh fir darr kaisa?’ Gabbar roared, ‘mera naam le lo aur phir sau saal tak pollushun kuch nahin karega!’ 
 
I’m sure what Gabbar was really trying to tell me was that no pollutant ever exists without another killer instinct being born. Just search for this solution and indoor pollution will be easy to counter. 
 
I found myself with Sunny Leone and she just fluttered her eye-lids and coo-ed, ‘Well, lots of women call me an indoor pollution, and I know I’m deadly. Fear means nothing if you have your own action plan.’ 
 
That’s it… I murmured and thanked her because she had clearly told me that only a well-defined and technologically sound action plan would help. 
 
So, I then hopped over to SRK who just ‘humph-ed and hurr-ed! me aside and then taking off his shirt to show me some flabby abs, said, ‘I don’t fear no one. Indoor or outdoor. Poll or no poll. I shun them all. I have to rush to make another flop… bye!’ Well, I interpret this scurried answer as a warning that indoor pollution isn’t something that must be allowed to stay on and cause all those headaches, dry eyes, nasal congestion bouts, nausea, and fatigue… just act fast! Speed is of essence. Obviously then, indoor pollution must not be your guest for life… it could be devastating indeed! 
 
When I asked Sr Bachchan the same question, he replied, ‘Babu ji would have quoted these lines from one of his poems.’ And then he recited two lines before leaving me with my thoughts. 
 
ऐसा सुनता, उस पार, प्रिये, 
ये साधन भी छिन जाएँगे; 
तब मानव की चेतनता का 
आधार न जाने क्या होगा! 
इस पार, प्रिये मधु है तुम हो, 
उस पार न जाने क्या होगा! 
 
And Amitabh too had hit the nail in his own special way… and the lines did seem to talk so favourably about the unexpected losses on the other side, that is, if you crossed over to times of severe indoor pollution. The beauty of a great poem is that it interprets every situation the best way. 
 
So yes, indoor pollution is indeed something that even the Bollywood icons acknowledged in a different manner… and we ordinary mortals must not really overlook the hazards that it poses. 
 
We need to be aware of the issues surrounding indoor pollution… and even other forms of pollution, of course. I mention the indoor form because most of us tend to spend a lot of time indoors and so cannot afford to let it destroy our lives. And, by the way, did I mention that pollutants exist in micron sizes so you cannot actually pick them up and put them in a recycle bag. These micro-sized monsters need specialised busters… though you can reduce your exposure to pollutants if you know what to do in certain cases. 
 
It will be helpful to know that broken CFLs releases mercury, a neurotoxin in the air… so the best action is to simply open the windows and let fresh air come and clear the environment. 
 
Your gadgets have plastic parts… and plastics made with polyvinyl chloride emit phthalates that may lead to hormonal abnormalities and reproductive problems. Plastics also release polybrominated diphenyl ethers, which are flame-retardant chemicals known to cause neurobehavioral changes. So what does one do? Simple. Encourage adequate ventilation until the chemical odour goes away. Be regular in vacuuming around computers, printers, and televisions. 
 
Even glues and adhesives aren’t as virtuous as they seem with their relationship with acetone or methyl ethyl ketone that irritates eyes and affects the nervous system. Rubber cement has n-hexane, a neurotoxin and adhesives are known to have toxic formaldehyde. The secret of escaping these hazards is to encourage a fair degree of ventilation in the house. 
 
Kitchen with their platoon of stoves, heaters, and fireplaces can have an abundance of carbon monoxide that can cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and even death in the absence of proper ventilation. Nitrogen dioxides and other particulates, doctors say, can cause respiratory disorders and inflammation of the eyes, nose, and throat. 
 
Isn’t all this serious enough? Isn’t it time to realise that pollution is much more than just exhaust fumes on busy traffic congested roads. It is right there inside a home that you have been thinking of as a safe haven all this while. Pollution isn’t just in the Ganges or existing only as garbage piles on the slopes of pristine mountains—it is right under your nose inside your house. Yes, pollution is surely transforming this world into a global garbage can, but if you do not allow your awareness instincts to act right, your home will be a stinking source of illness and disease even before any other form of pollution overwhelms existence. Therefore, it is time to sit up and say: indoor pollution is a reality and I want our think-tanks to serve us a solution. Prevent your home from becoming a Da Vinci of death!
