<ul><li>Tire-1 cities such as Banglore, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi top the financing demands for two-wheelers.</li><li>With the recent surge in petrol prices, EV sales of two-wheelers increased by 19x over last year.</li><li>Among tire-2 cities, Indore tops digital financing for two-wheelers.</li></ul><keyword id="8064711" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="oto" source="Orion">OTO</keyword>, a buying and financing platform has released its first annual report on two-wheeler trends data such as top-performing brands, demand in cities and categories which are driving the demand for financing in India. The report also highlights the change in consumer behaviour seen through the pandemic with digital penetration in the market. As per the report, most customers opting for two-wheeler finance are 24 to 35 years middle-class working professionals. Financing has emerged as the most preferred option for buying two-wheelers. The report also states that out of 76% of scooter sales 34% were EVs and 42% were conventional fuel vehicles. The most preferred brands according to OTO are <keyword id="20630" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="honda" source="Orion">Honda</keyword> and <keyword id="62356" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="tvs" source="Orion">TVS</keyword> both online and offline mediums. Of all the tier 2 cities, Indore has emerged as the top buyer of two-wheelers along with digital financing. Banglore emerged as the top tire-1 city in terms of demand for two-wheelers and their financing followed by Hyderabad. Around 23% of customers opted for resale of their two-wheelers through channels available on OTO. Premium bikes with an average price of 1.5 lakh were purchased by 33% of people. Around 82% of OTO customers opted for the financing service meanwhile 18% preferred to buy two-wheelers without financing. Above mentioned data highlights that Indian millennials are shifting towards digital finance options such as OTO for two-wheelers. Commenting on the report, Sumit Chhazed, Co-founder of OTO said, “the emergence and acceptance of digitisation have accelerated the growth of the auto sector. EV sales of two-wheelers increased by 19X in the last fiscal year: OTO

The Indian cricket board could soon get richer by at least ₹5000 crore with the addition of two new franchises during the 2022 edition of <keyword id="1777211" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Premier-League-" source="Orion">Indian Premier League.</keyword> The <keyword id="6354312" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPL" source="Orion">IPL</keyword>, which is currently an eight-team tournament, will become a 10-team affair from the next edition and during a recent governing council meeting, the modalities of the bidding process were chalked out. "Any company can buy the bid document paying ₹10 lakh. Earlier top brass was thinking about keeping the base price for two new teams at ₹1700 crore but later it was decided to keep the base price at ₹2000 crore," a senior <keyword id="6354756" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="BCCI" source="Orion">BCCI</keyword> source told PTI on the condition of anonymity. The source, who has dealt with the financial side of IPL in the past, said that the BCCI stands to gain at least ₹5000 crore if the <keyword id="48985" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="bids" source="Orion">bids</keyword> go as per plan with plenty of large business conglomerates showing active interest in bidding. "The BCCI is expecting anything in the range of 5000 crore if not more. There will be 74 IPL games next season and it's a win-win situation for everyone." It is learnt that only companies with an annual turnover of ₹3000 crore will be allowed to bid for the teams. In a welcome news, the BCCI is planning to allow a consortium to bid for teams as it makes the bidding process more vibrant. "I think more than three business entities won't be allowed to form a consortium but if three business come together and wants to jointly bid for a team, they are welcome to do so," he said. Among the venues where the teams could be based include Amedabad, Lucknow and Pune. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, with bigger capacities, could be the choice for franchises. Some of the names that are doing the rounds include the Adani group, RPG Sanjeev Goenka group, noted pharma company Torrent and a prominent banker who has shown active interest in buying teams. The disruptions are largely because of new emission rules, power shortages and floods in July. Besides, the financier was at more than 95% collection efficiency in July and expects it to continue as things normalise, said Ramesh Iyer, vice chairman and managing director of the company in an interview with <a href="https://www.cnbctv18.com/finance/raul-rebello-joins-mm-fin-as-coo-confirms-ramesh-iyer-10501961.htm">CNBC-TV18.</a> The market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹19,768 crore as on August 31. Bandhan Bank Investors seem to be picking up the Kolkata based bank’s stock on expectations of high returns. Analysts at Credit Suisse reportedly believe that the bank would give more than 20% return on equity. With this, it has set a target of ₹370 apiece. As on August 31, the stock price is at ₹284.70 per share. Analysts at Kotak Securities feel the same, as it says return on equity is likely to move more than 20%. After the bank reported a 32% on year decline in net profit due to high provisions, analysts at Kotak Securities said it sees an improvement in the second half of FY22 as the economic situation improves. It has set a target price of ₹335 per share. IndiaMART InterMESH Another stock that turned around in the last five days was B2B e-commerce platform IndiaMart InterMESH. The stock surged more than 10% in 5 days against tepid trading in the rest of August. This is primarily because the company’s stock has been added to the futures &amp; options market from August 27. The move boosts participation in the stock as investors and institutions can hedge underlying positions in the stock. Moreover, the B2B e-commerce platform’s consolidated net profit grew by 19% year-on-year to ₹88 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021. Hindustan Aeronautics Shares of the state-owned aerospace and defence company were triggered after the company signed a $716-million deal with GE Aviation for supply of engines. A report by ICICI Securities reportedly said that the average daily passenger traffic is recovering gradually after dropping to a low in May 2021 due to second COVID-19 wave’s restrictions.
