<keyword id="10591" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="samsung" source="Orion">Samsung</keyword> on Thursday invited local startups to collaborate on technologies around the 'Digital <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>' stack, including unified payments interface (<keyword id="6358921" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="upi" source="Orion">UPI</keyword>), Digilocker, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN) and Unified Health Interface (UHI), among others. The company said that its R&amp;D centres and business units in the country will work closely with these startups to co-build solutions for a specific product or service, that has the potential to be integrated with the company's product ecosystem. "We wish to collaborate with startups who have cutting-edge technologies in this space, which, when integrated with the Samsung ecosystem, can transform the lives of people, our consumers," said Dipesh Shah, Managing Director, Samsung R&amp;D Institute Bangalore. Samsung said it will also explore funding support to some of these startups to help them further scale their solutions. The company last week held a 'Startup Collab' event at the Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru where around 25 startups came together and interacted with Samsung leadership from its R&amp;D centres in Bengaluru and Noida, and its corporate headquarters in Gurugram. "Co-prosperity is one of our core values and we hope to play our part in enhancing the innovation ecosystem in the country, thereby powering 'Digital India,'" said Dr Balvinder Singh, Head, Open Innovation Group, Samsung R&amp;D Institute Bangalore. Samsung's engineers will also provide these startups with technical mentorship as well as guidance in protecting their intellectual property. A successful startup currently powers Samsung's local India app-store where consumers can discover and access their favourite mobile applications in 12 Indian languages. Another startup has powered 'Lock Screen Stories' on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. This feature has close to 30 million daily active users, said the company. Samsung invites Indian startups to build tech around UPI, ONDC and more

Accordingly, the target price has been pegged at Rs 450 per share, implying a 34 per cent upside by March 2023, as against its current price of Rs 333. According to a note by JM Financial, DLF continues to offer a lot of visibility backed by broad-based momentum in the residential business, significant expansion plans in <keyword id="286753" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="dlf-cyber-city-developers" source="Orion">DLF Cyber City Developers</keyword>, monetisation of land banks, and a possible REIT listing. In the 30-second clip, Ganguly is heard saying, "The first step towards achieving your dreams is having the right coach." Classplus has claimed to have digitised over one lakh educators and content creators across more than 3,000 cities serving 30 million students, assisting them in building their online presence and selling their online courses. The company charges its customers on per minute basis for Rupees 6 on any beauty service they want with extra service charge for better brands. Another way to book can be through the call centre and Whatsapp which makes this startup more inclusive to people that might not have a smartphone or omnipresent internet connection. These new startups are engaging more people while using the resources differently but it will be interesting to see who leaves a last impression behind.

Since November last year, <a href="https://www.zomato.com/ncr/culinate-sector-53-noida">Culinate</a>, a delivery joint owned by <keyword id="125928" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rajiv-Kumar">Rajiv Kumar</keyword> has been changing the way <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=noida&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Noida </a>views healthy food. Apart from offering affordable and exotic healthy options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the folks at <keyword id="3697984" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="culinate">Culinate</keyword> also make it a point to prioritise hygiene in their kitchen and eco-friendly packaging in their deliveries. 
 The kitchen, which also doubles up as Kumar’s office is a small space in <keyword id="18858" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Noida">Noida</keyword>’s Sector 53, but as we found has a big heart. “The idea behind Culinate was to prove that it is possible to offer nutritious food made of healthy ingredients that can be downright delicious too. I wanted something that an office-goer would want to have, even in their car.” says Kumar, who got his cousin, who is a nutritionist on board to help them decide on the menu and the portion sizes. 
 
“My target audience are office goers in the 22-45 age bracket. Anyone who’s fond of eating exotic healthy food or is largely health-conscious,” he further adds. The three most popular dishes on their menu are the Portuguese Platter, Breakfast on Thames (Culinate’s take on the English Breakfast) and their signature Waffles and Pancakes. Culinate also makes their own juices. 
 
 
 
 
Culinate delivers to all the sectors in Noida and takes an average time of 60 minutes to bring the dish to your doorstep. The slightly longer transporation time is attributed to the widespread ongoing construction in Noida which makes reaching places a slight issue. At the moment, they see upto 50 deliveries a day which results in one delivery boy having to do 12 deliveries throughout the course of the day. However, to ensure their safety, there are speed governors in place on their bikes. No delivery boy can go beyond 40 kms per hour. 
 
Kumar is very particular about two things at Culinate- hygiene and nutrition. As a result, he ensures that the kitchen is cleaned thrice a day, discourages the use of chemicals for cleaning the kitchen and is one of the only places that practises a 7-step washing process for their vegetables and meats. 
 
By his own admission, Rajiv says that it was very early on that had made up his mind to go all the way when it came to nutrition, regardless of the added expenditure. As a result, Culinate currently uses 60% of organic vegetables to prepare their dishes while 40% of their grains are also organically sourced- a number Kumar hopes will keep on growing. Additionally, they don’t use any packaged sauces in their dishes and substitutes with healthier alternatives- all made inhouse. For example, their mayonnaise is an in-house preparation made from greek yoghurt and cashews, which has one-tenth the calories as regular mayonnaise does. 
 
However, what deserves the maximum praise is their packaging. “As I cannot speak to my customer in person, what assumes utmost importance is my packaging. That is the customer’s first impression of my food,” Kumar replies, when asked the reason behind prioritising packaging. 
 
 
 
Culinate’s breakfast tray in which all their breakfast options are served is made of sugarcane kernels and is totally environment-friendly. To ensure that your breakfast is hot when it reaches you, the team then outs the tray inside a thermal bag which can maintain its temperature for three hours. During winter, there is an additional hot bag put inside to keep the dish warm.&#xa0; Moreover, Culinate also has different bowls for hot and cold orders. For example, the cold bowl is not microwavable.&#xa0; There’s more- none of their dishes contain MSG or ajino moto. Their breads are diabetic friendly and they have gone as far as ensuring that even their desserts are healthy. 
 
One look at his numbers and you can conclude that his experiments have worked out in his favour. Currently, 80% of all orders are by repeat customers and the number of orders Culinate receives on a regular basis keeps on increasing.

Trouble seems to be mounting on cab aggregators with the protests by <keyword id="6354720" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ola">Ola</keyword>, Uber drivers in Delhi-NCR gathering more steam as it enters its fifth day today. 
 What’s more worrying is that <keyword id="4159125" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="sarvodaya-driver-association-of-delhi">Sarvodaya Driver Association of Delhi</keyword>, one of the groups leading the protests, has reiterated that the indefinite strike will continue until all demands are addressed by the app-based cab aggregators or the Delhi government. The Union claims to be representing the plight of 1.5 lakh of drivers in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram and other cities.

Earlier last week, thousands of drivers gathered at Janpath in the national capital for their indefinite strike against "unfair low fares fixed by companies" and "lack of basic amenities” from Ola and Uber. They alleged that as against Rs 30,000 they had been taking home monthly when they started driving the cabs, they are only able to make Rs 4,000 monthly for themselves and that too, despite working 18-20 hours. 
Several protesters angrily accused the cab aggregators of falsely luring them to buy cars by making financing easy and convincing them that they would earn more money than they have been from their existing sources of income. 
 
Hailing from economically weak backgrounds, several drivers sold off their property or jewelry and other assets to arrange the money for down payment. However, after the cab aggregators 
recently fixed the price at Rs 6/km (25% commission of which goes to Ola and Uber), the drivers alleged they get approximately Rs 4/km. A few drivers from the Union also alleged that despite being in the same area, Ola and Uber’s own fleet of cars have been getting more bookings than them as a result of which it has become difficult for them to meet their targets.

With Rs 4,000 left in hand, drivers say they are unable to meet all their family expenses. There isn’t enough money to repay loans and owing to bouncing cheques, the situation has worsened with financers even confiscating cars. 
 
At Janpath, one of the protesters alleged, “We were better off before becoming Ola, Uber drivers. We had some arrangements even then. We were surviving and meeting our daily needs. Now, we are left with nothing. Where should we go? We will continue the strike till our demands are met.”

Due to the protests, commuters have been left worst affected with no cabs in their vicinity. While on Ola's app, there were no cabs available at times during evening peak hours, Uber's app showed taxis with inflated fares on a few routes. Meanwhile, the companies have been resorting to surge pricing during peak hours in both morning and evening since the strike has begun. 
 
What Ola, Uber have to say 
Ola said that they’re doing their best to get more taxis on the road and working closely with local authorities to end the strike. 
“Offering a seamless mobility experience has always been our priority. We are concerned about the inconvenience being caused to some of our customers across Delhi-NCR over the last few days. We’d like to reassure them that we are working closely with the local authorities to resolve the issue at the earliest," an Ola spokesperson said. 
Meanwhile, Uber also claimed it is also working closely with the government and trying to make sure that their driver partners are safe while they are on the road. 
 
“We welcome this court order, which prohibits unions, their leaders and anybody else from obstructing the activities of Uber driver partners as they go about their business. We hope it will enable drivers to get back behind the wheel, something many have been telling us they wish to do. We're sorry that our service has been disrupted and for any inconvenience, this has caused to our customers” a spokesperson from Uber said.

Drivers meanwhile have been left in a lurch, knocking on every door possible to get justice. It remains to be seen whether this long-standing impasse between drivers and cab aggregators will see a logical conclusion anytime soon.

The startup sells premium quality flours, dals, rice, grains and other kitchen items online in collaboration with TWT Flours. 
 
When someone orders products on their website, they will get an option to get free delivery of cash along with the order. They choose any amount till Rs 1000 (per day, per customer) and the same will be charged along with their order. 
 
There’s a slight catch. Only selected regular customers who have referred the website to six or more people can avail the Rs 1000 cash-delivery option, though new customers can get cash worth Rs 500 delivered on a minimum order. 
 
The minimum order for a new customer is Rs 160 while as returning customers qualify for the free home delivery of cash option once they add products worth Rs 140 in their carts. 
 According to <keyword id="3908774" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Arjun-Rungta">Arjun Rungta</keyword>, co-founder of the startup, all they’re doing is offering the cash they’ve collected in the last 20 days after <keyword id="3315394" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="demonetisation">demonetisation</keyword> back to their customers. 
 
To make things even easier, the website also gives one an option to select their preferred denomination of notes while payment.

 As he jostled out the media's way, gathered at the ceremony, safely venturing into the iconic Leopold cafe in Mumbai, to have a family dinner, it is there that he made his first call to his marketing chief, <keyword id="1024568" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shankar-Nath">Shankar Nath</keyword>, says Sharma, ‘I asked <keyword id="4458" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Shankar">Shankar</keyword> if they had started working on an ad that could be taken out next morning to which I gained a reassuring reply that the plan was already underway and I soon started draft samples that were being planned. My first instinct told me that we need to credit the man the brave man that has taken this call.' 
 It was already 11 15 PM and most newspapers had refused to carry the full page ad that Paytm had designed for the occasion. Fortunately for them, despite the late hour, the Telegraph and the <keyword id="6518498" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hindustan-Times">Hindustan Times</keyword> agreed to carry the full page as that congratulated Modi for the disruptive decision. 
 
 
 Sharma's problems were not to end here. Even as the country went through the most crucial economic change since liberalization in 1991, Sharma had to catch a flight to <keyword id="24349" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hong-Kong">Hong Kong</keyword> in the next 24 hours. 'I felt like a fish out of the water but I'm glad that I had a team that had already swung into action. At Paytm we believe that speed is our biggest bet and that's exactly what our actions represented.' 
 
Back at the Paytm’s headquarters in Noida, Sudhanshu Gupta, VP- Business, Paytm relayed the atmosphere at the office. 'We got into a meeting at 9 AM which went on till 4 30 PM. Sure, after the launch Paytm’s payments bank, work at our end will increase but we are willing to put in the hours for the results.' 
 Paytm’s payments bank was expected to launch by <keyword id="188" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="20" keywordseo="Diwali">Diwali</keyword> this year but the pending approval from RBI means delay but Sharma is optimistic,’ It shouldn’t take more than four to six weeks after the license is issued by Central bank. So let’s say if I were to get the approval by end of this month, the Payments bank will launch by January 2017.’ 
 When asked about his opinion on <keyword id="15491" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Airtel">Airtel</keyword>’s payments bank, Sharma said,’ We never talk about our competitors because what we are doing is never related to what they’re up to.’ 
 
That differentiation reflected today when Paytm launched POS on its platform for offline merchants, something that hasn’t been done in the country before.

The money raised will be mostly used for enhancing the technology platform and venturing further into the global market. 
 “The problem we are trying to solve – deciding what to gift and how to find it easily – is globally relevant. Moreover, we have an extremely scalable model as our platform is totally Cloud-based. So we are planning to go global in a big way soon after cracking the <keyword id="47445" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-market">Indian market</keyword>,” details Apurv. Even now, Wishpicker has a significant presence in the US, the UK and the Middle East as people from these countries send gifts to India. But in the next phase of global expansion in the third quarter of this calendar year, the UK market will be the primary focus of the start-up. 
 
Biggest challenge: There are loads of gifting sites in India but most of them work like normal e-commerce sites, instead of aggregating and curating gift information, powered by an intelligent recommendation engine. “For gifting sites, the <keyword id="5189" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="competition">competition</keyword> evolves around stickiness – it is essential to ensure that one finds the right gift for the right occasion and comes back often. But a site with a limited inventory cannot assure that and that’s where we are ahead,” affirms Apurv. 
 
He, however, thinks the biggest challenge is to build the right team. “Without a great team, your business is bound to fail. When running a start-up, you will never be short of work, and will constantly feel the need for more people. But the key is not to hire in a hurry and make sure that the candidate is not only talented and hardworking, but also gels well with the culture of the company. Because a wrong hire will push you two steps behind,” he reflects. 
 
Tips for budding entrepreneurs: There is no perfect time to start your own business. If you believe that you are solving a problem that’s affecting a large number of people and have the confidence that you can execute it with perfection, you should just go for it. New Delhi, Dec 18 () Startup ABL Workspaces on Wednesday said it has invested Rs 7 crore to start a new co-working centre, comprising 800 seats, in Noida.
This will be the company's 9th centre in the national capital region. 
ABL Workspaces has taken on lease 40,000 sq feet from landlord to open a co-working centre with 800 desks in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, the company said in a statement.
Starting with 50 seats in 2017, the company now has 5,000 seats and is targetting 15,000 seats by the end of 2020.
Ankur Gupta, co-founder and CEO of ABL Workspaces, said co-working space is in high demand in the nation.
"We are expecting a revenue of almost Rs 50 lakh per month once we achieve 100 per cent occupancy in this new centre," said Akshita Gupta, co-founder of ABL Workspaces.
Bira 91 Beverages, BulBul TV, Etsy, Lodha Group, Livspace, Truly madly, Petrofac and Cynesis are some of its clients. 
According to property consultant Cushman &amp; Wakefield, currently there are 1,000 operational co-working centres, with a capacity of over 4 lakh seats, across six major cities. 
The number of flexible space operators has risen from single digits to about 350 over the last 3-4 years. 
The report estimated user base of flexible workspaces to jump 10 times to nearly 3 million by 2025. At present, 65-70 per cent of demand for co-working spaces comes from large corporates, 15-20 per cent from small &amp; medium enterprises and 10-15 per cent from freelancers and startups. Having raised over $100 million in funding, the platform which helps sellers sell their cars has grown rapidly since its launch in 2015. In an exclusive interview with Business Insider, Cars24 co-founder and CEO Vikram Chopra said that the company was on track to break even soon. “We operationally make money on every car and our funding needs are not very high,” said Chopra. Cars24 sells over 13,000 cars every month through its platform and over 4 years has sold 1.6 lakh cars. Currently present in 35 cities and 150 branches, Cars24 plans to be in 70 cities and 230 branches by 2019. “We only have 2% market share right now of the $30 billion used car market. In India, 5 million used cars are sold every year. Our objective is to take this number of 2% to 20% over the next 5 years,” said Chopra. Interestingly, they have been cashing in on television ads during the ICC Cricket World Cup. In fact, during the India vs Pakistan match the traffic to their website was up by 85%. At the same time, new car dealers witnessed a sharp fall in enquiries. The Indian auto industry has seen a massive slowdown in the selling of new cars. Consumer sentiment has suffered due to cost increase amid strict safety regulations, delay in monsoon, rural stress, slowing economy and liquidity constraints. However, that hasn't interrupted the sale of used cars. While new car sales have been shrunk eight months in a row, Chopra said that Cars24 sales have grown at the rate of 5% month-on-month. Building a seller first model Chopra and his co-founder Mehul Agrawal were the founders of Fabfurnish – an online marketplace for furniture, which also saw interest from Future Group chairman Kishor Biyani but the deal failed to materialise. However, with that venture, they realised one thing – their next business had to focus on the sellers. “We have so many businesses in India that is solving problems for the consumer. Everyone always thinks demand first, we rarely think about the supply side of the problem. India actually has interesting supply side problems where a seller doesn’t know where to go to sell his/her car,” said Chopra. From their very first location in 2015 next to a petrol pump in Gurugram where they saw sellers come all the way from Noida, today Cars24 is spreading its business across cities and states in India.
