Florida's Hillsborough County released on Tuesday the first footage inside the <keyword id="6562619" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="sinkhole">sinkhole</keyword> that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/florida-man-swallowed-by-sinkhole-2013-3">killed a Florida man in February</a> as he slept in his bedroom. 
The crater is about 20 feet wide and 60 feet deep. 
The body of Jeff Bush, 37, was never recovered. 
The video, shot the morning after the incident, was taken with a small camera attached to a pole that was slipped inside Bush's bedroom window, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=oYbPXYc13-c#!">ABCActionNews reports</a>.
At that time, the sides of the sinkhole were too unstable to send anyone down to rescue Bush. The house, has since been razed and the hole filled. 
Sinkholes <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/what-casues-a-sinkhole-2013-3">are found where the ground is made of soft rocks</a>. Rain dissolves the rocks creating giant pits underneath the earth. Eventually, the top layer of rock can no longer support itself and the ground caves in.

Sinkholes, like the one that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/florida-man-swallowed-by-sinkhole-2013-3">killed a Florida man last week</a>, and the one that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/illinois-golfer-swallowed-by-sinkhole-2013-3">appeared on a golf course in Illinois on March 8,</a> are really just hidden holes in the ground. 
Caverns are carved out by water in the ground, sometimes from heavy rains.
They are found throughout the world, but are more common in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/where-youll-be-swallowed-by-a-sinkhole-2013-3">areas where the ground is made of soft rocks </a>like limestone, gypsum or salt beds, called "Karst Terrain." The rain dissolves these rocks and creates giant caverns.
About 20 percent of the U.S. is underlain by this kind of ground, according to the USGS.
Usually sinkholes are slow forming and end up just making divots in the ground where the earth is being washed away under it. Like in this image:

But some can be catastrophic, the top layer of the ground remaining intact while a huge cavern is carved out underneath, like the image below:
