After developing several varieties of <keyword id="6368690" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Mango">mango</keyword> that he named after celebrities and leading personalities, renowned <keyword id="228712" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="horticulturist">horticulturist</keyword> <keyword id="2839276" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Haji-Kalimullah-Khan">Haji Kalimullah Khan</keyword> has grown one more variety of the royal fruit which he named after <keyword id="71" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Prime-Minister">Prime Minister</keyword> <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword>. 
 Kalimullah Khan, 74, recipient of Padma Shri award, has named his newly-developed mango variety as '<keyword id="61671" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="NaMo">NaMo</keyword> Aam'. 
 
Explaining his logic behind the name, Kalimullah told reporters, "Just like the Prime Minister, who has joined the league of world famous leaders, this mango will also be in the limelight and promote brotherhood." 
 
"By inviting the heads of neighbouring nations to his swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister, Modi has extended an olive branch to them. Better relations with neighbours will foster brotherhood in the world. I have been inspired to name my new variety of mango as Namo Aam," Kalimullah, who is also nicknamed 'Mango Man' of UP's Malihabad region said. 
 
Kalimullah, who has been growing mangoes since 1957, describes the 'NaMo' variety as "beautiful and juicy". 
 
The horticulturist has a penchant to develop and grow new and rare varieties of mangoes and name them after celebrities. So far he has named the varieties after <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> actress <keyword id="6366471" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Aishwarya-Rai">Aishwarya Rai</keyword>, cricket icon <keyword id="6354267" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sachin-Tendulkar">Sachin Tendulkar</keyword>, among others. 
 
Kalimullah said he names the new mango varieties after celebrities to make the legends "immortal". 
 
Khan's mango orchard is spread over five acres area at Malihabad, in which he has developed new varieties of mangoes. 
 
 
The orchard has about a century-old prized tree, on which he started working in 1987 to develop the craft of growing different varieties on it. He has named the mangoes grown on this tree after his family members, who were also mango growers. 
 
Kalimullah's 'magic tree' has borne over 300 varieties of mangoes. Every fruit has a tiny tin label of identification on its pale green pedicle. 
 
 
His rare technique of growing multiple varieties of mangoes of different shapes, sizes and hues on one tree has helped him get Padma Shri. 
 Replying to a question, Kallimullah said he plans to name the next variety of mango after Delhi Chief Minister <keyword id="260213" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Arvind-Kejriwal">Arvind Kejriwal</keyword>, who is a "trendsetter" in politics. 
 
 
Underlining the needs to boost mango export, Kalimullah said he wants to develop a sugar-free variety of mango for diabetic patients. 
 
The 'Mango Man' described that developing new varieties of mangoes was a kind of creation and not tampering with nature.

The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation has dropped to 2.06% in February owing to decline in global crude oil prices. 
 
“The recent spate of rains has destroyed a lot of crops including wheat and mango in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. This will definitely lead to an acute shortage of supply as the demand will be high in the market,” said vegetable trader at the Okhla Mandi requesting anonymity . 
 
He added that consumers can also expect hoarding of these agricultural produce in the near future. “If the government does not do something immediately then we can expect traders to hoard the goods in want of higher prices. This will certainly shoot up the vegetable prices in the market,” he explained. 
 Elaborating on the sentiment, economists noted that if the food prices go up, this could result in <keyword id="67286" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Food-inflation">food inflation</keyword> shooting up. According to a report by <keyword id="6366068" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="INTERNATIONAL-MONETARY-FUND">International Monetary Fund</keyword>, the food inflation is expected to go up again as the <keyword id="34412" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="economy">economy</keyword> gets back on track. The report also suggested that food inflation has grew over non-food inflation by about 3½ percentage points between 2006-07 and 2013-14, thus contributing majorly to headline inflation. 
 “As India’s food imports account for only about 1 percent of <keyword id="35050" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="gdp">GDP</keyword>, a large part of which is edible oil, relative food prices (food versus non-food prices) play a key role in equilibrating India’s food demand and domestic supply. Acceleration of India’s economic growth during 2003–11 to an average of about 8% (up from an average of just below 6% recorded during the preceding decade) was accompanied by an even stronger pickup in the growth of private consumption. At the same time, average agricultural GDP growth remained essentially unchanged at about 3¼% per year, resulting in excess demand for food, giving rise to relative food-price inflation,” stated the report. 
 Commenting on the issue of further rate cuts, a senior economist from Crisil said that the current situation doesnot leave much room for further policy rate cuts by the <keyword id="6354335" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="reserve-bank-of-india">Reserve Bank of India</keyword>. He elucidated that even though WPI inflation has declined, both the government and RBI will have to wait and watch how food inflation shapes up. 
 However, analysts beg to differ. Jaijit Bhattacharya, partner, infrastructure and government services at <keyword id="50041" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="KPMG">KPMG</keyword> noted, “One needs to look at the details of the inflation. Food inflation last month was over 8%. The total inflation was however down because of global commodity prices being down, especially oil. That situation is ephemeral. However, for the sake of growth, it is preferred to have a repo rate cut at this juncture.”
