New Delhi: Shares of <keyword id="20599931" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="NTPC-Green-Energy" source="keywords">NTPC Green Energy</keyword> Ltd, the <keyword id="19895602" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="renewable-energy" source="keywords">renewable energy</keyword> arm of <keyword id="19903558" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="NTPC" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="NTPC" meta.hostid="261" meta.entityid="NTPC">NTPC</keyword>, listed with a premium of over 3 per cent against the issue price of Rs 108 on Wednesday. The stock made its debut at Rs 111.60, up 3.33 per cent from the issue price on the BSE. Later, it climbed 12.40 per cent to Rs 121.40. At the NSE, it listed at Rs 111.50, up 3.24 per cent. The company's market valuation stood at Rs 1,02,211.38 crore during the morning trade. Shares of NTPC climbed nearly 2 per cent to Rs 368.80 on the BSE. The <keyword id="19913114" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="initial-public-offering" source="keywords">initial public offering</keyword> of NTPC Green Energy Ltd got subscribed 2.40 times on the closing day of the share sale on Friday. The Rs 10,000-crore share sale had a price band of Rs 102-108 per share. Proceeds from the <keyword id="19898327" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPO" source="keywords">IPO</keyword>, about Rs 7,500 crore at the upper band, will be used to repay or prepay part or all of its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd's (NREL) outstanding loans, and a portion will be utilised for general corporate purposes. NTPC Green Energy is a 'Maharatna' central public sector enterprise with a renewable energy portfolio, including solar and wind power assets.

Future Enterprises crash 5% Kishore Biyani led Future Enterprises shares crashed 5% during the early trading hours on Wednesday. Power consumption in July last year was at 116.48 BU, as per power ministry data. The latest data of the power ministry shows that power consumption has improved after government started giving relaxations for economic activities and onset of summer. "The slump in power consumption has narrowed down considerably to 2.6 per cent. It is expected to be at normal level (what it was last year in same month) during August. There could be growth in power demand in coming days with expansion in economic activities," an industry expert told PTI. Videocon Industries ad BPCL The state-owned Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) has been forced to pay for its defaulting partner Videocon Industries after it had relied on a rarely used model to acquire a stake in five oil blocks in Brazil, according to <a href="https://energy.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/oil-and-gas/bpcl-pays-for-defaulting-videocon-in-brazil-oil-block/78355979">reports</a>. The shares of Videocon Industries ended 5% lower on Friday, whereas BPCL shed nearly a percent. Sun Pharma The drug major Sun Pharma in its Annual Report for 2019-20 said the company is looking to expand its speciality business across different regions like Greater China and Japan after having established presence in the US market. The shares of Sun Pharma ended 0.72% higher on Friday. Berger Paints India’s second-largest paint maker, Berger Paints said that despite the coronavirus uncertainty its capital expenditure for this fiscal year remains unaffected and will be the same as last year. The major investment will be in its upcoming Sandila plant near Lucknow of around Rs 260 crore, and the plant is expected to be operational from 2022 onwards. The shares of Berger Paints ended 0.88% higher on Friday. Vodafone Idea The telecom regulator TRAI has decided to drop proceedings against Vodafone Idea in priority plan matter after the telco withdrew contentious claims on faster speed and modified its offering. The shares of Vodafone Idea ended 12% higher on Friday. Top stocks to watch— SBI, RIL, Hero Moto, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Vodafone Idea, Berger Paints and others

India will sell a 5 percent stake worth about $730 million in its top power producer NTPC Ltd, as the government races against time to raise funds via asset sales to meet this year's <keyword id="577577" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="fiscal-deficit-target">fiscal deficit target</keyword>. 
 The NTPC share sale will begin on Tuesday, the government said, and if successful, will be the biggest <keyword id="44639" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="divestment">divestment</keyword> by the state in about six months after a $1.4 billion equity sale in Indian Oil Corp in August. 
 
The government, which owns almost three quarters of NTPC, will sell about 412.3 million shares by auction to institutional and retail investors on the country's two main stock exchanges, according to a regulatory filing on Monday. 
 
The floor price for the auction has been set at 122 rupees a share, a discount of about 4 percent to NTPC's closing price of 127 rupees on Monday. 
 
New Delhi is set to miss its asset sales target for the sixth straight year, having so far raised less than a fifth of the 685 billion rupee ($10 bln) goal for the current fiscal year, which ends in March. 
 
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is due to present his budget for the next fiscal year on February 29, but a slowdown in economic growth has already made it tougher for him to meet a target to trim the fiscal deficit to 3.5 percent of GDP next year, from 3.9 percent budgeted for this year. 
 
India's recent divestment deals have drawn little interest from either foreign or domestic fund managers due to concerns about state companies' growth prospects. Recent swings in the stock market have also prompted the government to delay some stake sales as it does not want to sell too cheaply. 
 
The Indian Oil sale in August was rescued by state-run Life Insurance Corp (LIC) which bought 86 percent of the refiner and fuel retailer's shares on offer. 
 The <keyword id="3256881" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="NTPC-auction">NTPC auction</keyword> will be open for funds on Tuesday and Wednesday, while individual investors can put in bids on the last day.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 410.89 points, and the S&amp;P 500 was down 1.63%. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on October 20: Coal India, NTPC, NMDC and Engineers India The shares of Coal India, NTPC, NMDC and Engineers India will be in focus today <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/centre-asks-at-least-8-state-run-companies-to-consider-buybacks-report/articleshow/78746179.cms">after reports surfaced</a> that the Indian government asked these companies and 4 state-run companies to consider share buybacks in the fiscal year that runs through March 2021. The shares of Coal India, NTPC, NMDC and Engineers India ended in green on Monday. Britannia Industries The biscuit major Britannia Industries reported a 22.96% jump in consolidated net profit to ₹495.20 crore for the quarter ended September 30. While revenue from operations rose 12.15% to ₹3,419.11 crore during the quarter under review. However, the profit growth was much lower compared to the sequential lockdown quarter. The shares of Britannia Industries ended 2% higher on Monday. HDFC Life HDFC Life Insurance Company reported a 6.1% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹327.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The total income of the life insurer jumped nearly 90% to ₹16,426.03 crore, it said in a stock-exchange filing. The shares of HDFC Life ended 2% higher on Monday. MRPL and ONGC Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals will buy 49% stake in ONGC for ₹ 1,220 crore. Also, ONGC has issued non-convertible debentures worth ₹1,140 crore on a private placement basis. The shares of MRPL ended 2% higher on Monday, whereas ONGC gained over 3%. ACC The cement maker ACC reported a 20.25% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹363.85 crore for the third quarter ended September 30. The company follows the January-December financial year. The overall revenue from operations remained flat at ₹3,537.31 crore. The shares of ACC ended 0.41% higher on Monday Larsen &amp; Toubro Infotech and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) Larsen &amp; Toubro Infotech and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) are slated to report their second-quarter earnings today. The shares of Larsen &amp; Toubro Infotech ended 1% lower on Monday, whereas HUL ended 2% higher. Equitas Small Finance Bank The Equitas Small Finance Bank ₹517.6 crore initial public offer (IPO) will open today for bidding. Price band has been fixed at ₹32-33 per share. The issue will remain open for investors until October 22. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 423 points higher, and the S&amp;P 500 gained 1.23%. These are the stocks to watch out for during the trading session on November 3: Tata Motors Auto giant Tata Motors reported a 27% jump in its total domestic sales to 49,669 units in October. The passenger vehicle segment grew 80%, whereas the commercial vehicle segment witnessed a marginal growth at 2%. The shares of Tata Motors ended flat on Tuesday. Cadila Healthcare The drug major Cadila Healthcare reported an over four-fold jump in its consolidated net profit to ₹473.4 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company had posted a net profit of ₹107.2 crore for the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The company has significantly reduced its net debt-by ₹2,709 crore in the first six months of FY21, which is a 40% reduction from net debt reported in March 2020. The shares of Cadila Healthcare ended 3% lower on Tuesday. NTPC The board of state-owned power giant NTPC has approved the buyback of 19.78 crore equity shares at a price of ₹115 per unit for an aggregate amount of ₹2,275.74 crore. The company has fixed November 13 as the record date for the purpose of ascertaining the eligibility of shareholders for buyback of equity shares. The shares of NTPC ended 2.23% higher on Tuesday. Sterlite Tech The fiber optic cable manufacturing company, Sterlite Tech said it would acquire Italy’s Optotec S.p.A., a company specializing in optical interconnect products, for €29 million. The company said that the acquisition would create a solid springboard to offer a complete bouquet of solutions to customers across Europe, India and the Middle East. The shares of Sterlite Tech ended 2% lower on Tuesday. Adani Enterprises The Airports Authority of India (AAI) handed over the Lucknow airport to the Adani group on lease for a period of 50 years. The AAI had signed concession agreements with the Adani group on February 14 for operations, management and development of the Mangaluru, Lucknow and Ahmedabad airports. The shares of Adani Enterprises ended 0.16% higher on Tuesday. Shipping Corporation of India The board of the Shipping Corporation of India is slated to meet on November 6 to discuss the demerger of non-core assets. Enviro Infra Engineers, which is involved in the development of turnkey projects of <keyword id="19979438" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sewage-treatment-plants" source="keywords">sewage treatment plants</keyword> and sewerage systems, on Monday fixed a price band of ₹140-148 per share for its ₹650 crore <keyword id="19913114" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Initial-Public-Offering" source="keywords">Initial Public Offering</keyword> (IPO). The initial share sale will open for public subscription on November 22 and conclude on November 26. The bidding for anchor investors will open for a day on November 21, the company announced. The city-based company's proposed IPO is a combination of a fresh issue of 3.87 crore equity shares and an Offer For Sale (OFS) component of 52.68 lakh shares by promoters. Currently, promoters hold over 93 per cent stake in Enviro Infra Engineers. At the higher end of the price band, the IPO is valued at ₹650 crore, placing the company's market capitalization at approximately ₹2,600 crore. Proceeds from the fresh issue to the tune of ₹181 crore will be used to meet the working capital requirements, ₹100 crore will be used for payment of debt, ₹30 crore will be infused into the company's subsidiary, EIEL Mathura Infra Engineers, to build 60 million litres per day Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. Besides, a portion will be used for general corporate purposes. Half of the issue size has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers, 35 per cent for retail investors and the remaining 15 per cent for non-institutional investors. Enviro Infra Engineers is engaged in designing, construction, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants and water supply scheme projects for government authorities/bodies. The treatment process installed by the company at most of the STPs is zero liquid discharge-compliant and the treated water can be used for horticulture, washing, refrigeration, and other process industries. Hem Securities is the sole book-running lead manager of the public issue. The equity shares of the company are expected to be listed on the BSE and NSE on November 29.
