The upcoming smartphone has already seen its international release and now it is expected to arrive in India this month. It will have a triple camera set-up with 108MP primary sensor. Moto G51 5G Another Motorola smartphone that is expected to launch this month is the Moto G51 5G. The mid-range phone is likely to feature a Snapdragon 480+ chipset with a large 6.8-inch display, offering 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature a triple camera set-up with 50MP primary sensor. It will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support. ASUS 8Z The phone launched as the Asus Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip, globally and it has been expected to launch in India as the Asus Z8 and 8Z Flip. However, its launch has seen a delay for a few months. We are hoping that it finally arrives in India. While the 8Z will be a compact smartphone having a 5.9-inch AMOLED display, the Asus 8Z Flip will feature flagship-grade specifications. Both the phones will be powered by Snapdragon 888. The 8Z is equipped with a dual-camera set-up, a 4,000mAh battery and 30W charging support. On the other hand, the 8Z Flip will have a triple camera set-up along with a 5,000mAh battery. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge While the official announcement for the launch of Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is yet to take place, it is rumoured to debut this month in India. The phone launched exclusively in China with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ moniker. It is expected to bring 120W fast-charging support and feature a 6.67-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a mid-range MediaTek Dimensity SoC. Micromax In Note 1 Pro India’s own smartphone brand, Micromax, is expected to bring the Micromax In Note 1 Pro with a likely launch on December 15. The phone is expected to feature a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, a large screen with high refresh rate, a 5000mAh and it may come with Android 10 out of the box. <keyword id="11306069" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="realme-narzo-50a" source="Orion">Realme Narzo 50A</keyword> Prime Realme is set to launch the successor to its Narzo 50A smartphone that launched in October. OnePlus RT, Moto G200 and more: All upcoming smartphone launches in India in December 2021

The smartphone is priced in India, starting at ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage option and ₹14,999 for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage option. "The Moto G31 comes with Motorola's signature near-Stock Android that is ad-free and bloatware-free. Security matters to our consumers, so it means everything to us. Now you can count on ThinkShield for Mobile, which offers enhanced protection at every level from the factory to the phone, a secured chain of trust and additional security certifications," the company said in a statement. In terms of features, the smartphone features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) OLED hole-punch display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Moto G31 runs on Android 11 stock software and has a hybrid dual-SIM slot (Nano+ Nano/microSD). Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with an Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and up to 6GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage. Motorola launches 'Moto G31' smartphone with OLED display, starting at ₹12,999

Vaccinating all adults in the UK is unlikely to achieve herd immunity and fully contain the virus, a new study suggests. The <keyword id="9538021" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="modelling-study">modelling study</keyword>, published in The Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, suggests that the gradual release of control measures, high <keyword id="24209" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="vaccine">vaccine</keyword> uptake and a vaccine with high protection against infection is essential to minimise future waves of infection. "Our modelling suggests that <keyword id="10574643" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="vaccination-rollout">vaccination rollout</keyword> in adults alone is unlikely to completely stop Covid-19 cases spreading in the UK," said researcher Matt Keeling, Professor at University of Warwick in the UK. "We also found that early sudden release of restrictions is likely to lead to a large wave of infection, whereas gradually easing measures over a period of many months could reduce the peak of future waves," Keeling added. This study modelled the combined interaction of the UK vaccination rollout with different scenarios of relaxing control measures, to predict the R number and deaths and hospital admissions due to Covid-19 from January 2021 to January 2024. The model assumed vaccine uptake would be 95 per cent in those aged 80 years and older, 85 per cent in those aged 50-79 years, and 75 per cent in those aged 18-49 years, as well as looking at a more optimistic uptake scenario (95 per cent, 90 per cent, and 85 per cent, respectively), and a more pessimistic scenario (90 per cent, 80 per cent, and 70 per cent, respectively). Vaccine protection against symptomatic disease was assumed to be 88 per cent based on phase 3 trial data from the <keyword id="9653140" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="pfizer-biontech">Pfizer-BioNTech</keyword> and <keyword id="9605255" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="oxford-astrazeneca">Oxford-AstraZeneca</keyword> vaccines being administered in the UK (the analysis was done before early real-world data from vaccination rollout studies). Since the vaccines' protection against infection is still uncertain, it was varied in four scenarios (0 per cent, 35 per cent, 60 per cent, and 85 per cent). The findings suggest that although vaccination can substantially reduce Reproduction (R), it may not be enough to drive R below 1 without other control measures. Under the most optimistic scenario for protection against infection (85 per cent), the R number is estimated to be 1.58 without other controls.
