Billionaires, tech titans and business leaders on Monday joined in celebrating the inauguration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya as corporate <keyword id="19895063" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="keywords">India</keyword> gave leaves to staff and organised special prayers to mark the consecration. Billionaire Mukesh Ambani and his family as well as steel tycoon Lakshmi N MIttal, telecom czar Sunil Bharti Mittal, Reliance Group head Anil Ambani and Aditya Birla group chairperson <keyword id="20019610" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kumar-mangalam-birla" source="keywords">Kumar Mangalam Birla</keyword> and his daughter Ananya Birla were among the businessmen in Ayodhya for the consecration of Ram temple. Ambani's oil-to-telecom conglomerate gave all its employees a leave, organised special puja at over a dozen temples housed in premises across the country, and offered 360-degree virtual tour to the temple on JioTV. Billionaire Gautam Adani, who was among the corporate leaders invited for the ceremony, in a post on X said, "On this auspicious day, as the Ayodhya Mandir's doors open, let it be a gateway to enlightenment and peace, binding the communities with the timeless threads of Bharat's spiritual and cultural harmony." In another post, he announced his apples-to-airport group's decision to sponsor 14 students wanting to do PhD in Indology (academic study of India, its people, culture, languages and literature). "This will give global recognition to India's soft power and Indology." Prashant Ruia, Director of Essar Capital - the investment manager for the Essar Group, too was in Ayodhya for the event. "Blessed to have been in a sea of humanity for the #RamMandirPranPratishta at #AyodhaRamMandir with reverence, faith &amp; belief. A turning point in our history that has reunified the country in our dreams, desires, hopes and aspirations. #JaiShreeRam," he posted on X. Zoho CEO <keyword id="20290193" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="srihar-vembu" source="keywords">Srihar Vembu</keyword> too posted pictures with family of his visit to Ayodhya temple. "In Ayodhya with my amma Janaki and my brother Kumar and his wife Anu. Amma is a life-long devotee of Lord Shri Ram. Very blessed to be here." EaseMyTrip co-founder and CEO Nishant Pitti posted a video of him taking an Indigo flight to Ayodhya. From the temple site, he posted: "On this auspicious day of <keyword id="19904197" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ram-lalla" source="keywords">Ram Lalla</keyword> Pran Pratishtha, the spirit of unity and celebration resonates in the heart of millions of Indians. Phillips: This is the kiss of a lifetime! Hi, my name is Marishka S. Phillips, acting coach. I've been teaching and coaching for 13 years, and I'm based here in New York, and today we're going to be reviewing some kissing scenes. My favorite. "<keyword id="27608" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="60" keywordseo="titanic">Titanic</keyword>" (1997) The prelude to the kiss, the embrace from behind is a great invitation. Even the tender fingers intertwine. This kiss has all the elements. It was just moment to moment, beat by beat, engaging. They find a connection through the gaze. When she connects with his eyes, there's the breath. The reach back to give it a fuller connection. When I said, "Oh, there's the breath," in other words, they're not just diving in. There's a little bit of space, and you can almost feel the heat between the two. Then the kiss is soft, a very lyrical kiss. The rhythm just fell into place. It was seamless. You could even feel her surrender into his body. When I say surrender, it's really when the two kissers become one. You just see their bodies melt into each other. You have her extended neck. It's just open, inviting, and super-duper vulnerable. You know, you just can't kiss everybody out there at the tip of a boat. The investment in this relationship for us, we're just all there with it. You just have a sense that this is great love. "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (2007) Cho: Mistletoe. Harry: Probably full of Nargles, though. Cho: What are Nargles? Harry: I have no idea. Marishka: Come on, Harry. There's no life in there. Like, it made my mouth feel strange. There was no surrender. Did you see the space between them? You could walk right through them. Before the kiss, they're apart, and they stay apart. And they lean into it. It reminded me of that "Lady and the Tramp" kiss. It just looked like they were, like, swapping noodles. No intensity, purpose. The only reason I feel like they kiss is because somebody put a mistletoe above it. 'Cause if there was no mistletoe, they would be like, "OK, see ya. Have a good day." They're young, I get it. But the director, he checked the gate on that. Ron: That bad at it, are you? Hermione: I'm sure Harry's kissing was more than satisfactory! "Love and Basketball" (2000)Marishka: This is, like, an iconic Black film, and I've actually worked with the director, Gina, and she did a great job directing this piece. You know, that first moment when he says "double or nothing," you see where this is going. You see the energy shift, you see his eyes soften. Her look is right close behind. The kiss is tender. I felt the relaxation of the lips from Omar. I don't know, I wanted more. I think the rhythm of this kiss was just starting when they stopped it and went into the hug. So I was like, aah. [laughs] And I remember rooting for this couple. When you have a buildup like that, and in a current setting, where you can go all in on a kiss, I just wanted more in that moment. The circumstances surrounding the kiss, moving from friendship to intimate relationship, I understand why it wasn't as deeply passionate as I would have liked it. Still a very iconic film and moment. Quincy: All's fair in love and basketball, right? "Spider-Man" (2002) Marishka: The look before the kiss is super-duper important, because it's the invitation. I mean, her eyes are saying a lot. Can't see his. That's an interesting prelude. Peel to a kiss. That's interesting. The hero being upside down, that makes him vulnerable. The damsel is in power; she's grounded in it. I got a sense of the warmth and their breath intermingling. You felt the heat, the softness of it. This is a good kiss. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961) I like the longing in her eyes. Her eyes are inviting. His strong, handsome gaze. That, I felt. That mouth was very open. That's like the Holland Tunnel! [laughs] But they kissed on the side of the face first. What was that about? With the style of kissing in this film, I think it goes back to studio stuff. It's an older piece. During this time, they were aware of boundaries more, like if the leading man was married or the leading woman was married and in love with someone else, I think they honored those relationships more back in the day. But lose the cat! The cat is causing her to overextend her neck. That poor cat. That cat is probably asking itself, "Why am I in this scene?" "Moonlight" (2016) Kevin: Yeah, you trying to get smart with me, huh? Marishka: I like the hesitation. It swells the longing. It lets you know that it's new and probably prohibited. That pause, that, "I don't know if I should be doing this." I felt the breath between the kiss. I felt the breath going back and forth, and then when they finally have that enmeshing moment, the rhythm is on point. In fact, I believe the sound of the waves influenced their rhythm. I think they did a really great job. I think they really pulled off the circumstances surrounding this kiss as well, 'cause it was all encompassing of the scene, the setting, and the water. Kevin: I'll see you around. "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" (2010) Marishka: I don't know. This kiss, I felt like they had to do it. They had to kiss. It feels painful. I think they're cold. There was no heat, surrender. In terms of their look, dead stare, and there was no lead-up to it. She might as well had asked, "Can you push me off this cliff, please?" There was nothing there for him to grasp onto, and it looked like that when he approached her. Bella: I'm asking you to kiss me. Marishka: It looked like he was gonna punch her in the eye as opposed to kiss her. The actors are responsible for bringing chemistry to the set. Even if it's not with each other, per se, there's this tool called personalization. You have to really engage your imagination as to whom you'd want to be kissing. You have to find that person's face, and then you can fully engage. Jacob: I gotta go. "Carmen Jones" (1954) Carmen: Don't you trust yourself? Marishka: There's a great moment of breath and heat after she says, "Don't you trust yourself?" You could feel the intermingling of breath right there. Now, this kiss was done in 1954. Back then, there were production codes that you cannot show, you know, a passionate kiss but for so long, so they always had to find a creative way to denote sex. This orange smashed up against the board there. It's hilarious. These two actors are able to establish enough chemistry in these few moments of this kiss. I definitely feel the rhythm there. "Carmen Jones" is a musical, and because they're both musically inclined, they are able to sink into each other's rhythm, like, in a moment. It's a nice, smooth, lyrical rhythm that they create in just a short amount of time. When you bring in violins, it definitely gives you that soft, warm feeling of the string instruments. "Jurassic World" (2015) The kids are like, "What the...?" OK, I'm running for my life. Why would I stop and kiss someone? This kiss comes out of nowhere. There's no prelude. There was no breathing. I didn't see a surrender. The look looks like, "What the hell are we doing this for?" It all leads back to that. Why? And then, did she hiccup? [hiccups] Like that? I think she hiccuped! Maybe she knew that it was just a bad, wrong time. There's just so much wrong with it. Yeah, it's not cool, man. It's just not cool. Claire: We work together. "Casablanca" (1942) Ilsa: I want you to know that I.... Kiss me. Kiss me as if it were the last time. Marishka: That kiss still stands. Their eye contact is everything. They're staring straight into each other's eyes, and so the energy is swelling from there. And the close talking, you could definitely feel the breath between the two of them. Her neckline is exposed. Another strong, long neckline. I like the hand grab. And then she slams her fist down. It's explosive. The spilling liquid is very suggestive. They didn't really get a chance to get into a rhythm. The Dorothy Dandridge kiss, I think it just kind of came with the genre. They already had a rhythm. They've been dancing, they've been singing, and it's just an extension of that. This one, there's no establishment of a rhythm. It's just, boom, in and out. I just think it's a get-it-done moment with those older films. There has to be a kiss. Let's just get it done, pan off, and make it believable. Rick: Here's looking at you, kid. "Bend It Like Beckham" (2002) Joe: We might still have something. Don't you think? Marishka: Nice vulnerability from both of them. You see the breath in between. The nose canoodling, not bad. You know, why not? I would have to say this kiss is not perfectly in rhythm. You think of the circumstances surrounding the kiss. It's a goodbye, but it's new, and I think the newness of that is where they are. They're not used to each other. She pulls away at the end.Jess: I'm back at Christmas. I better go. Marishka: I believe that is due to where they are and who's there. There's an airport, there are parents, there's Beckham. It doesn't fully allow you to surrender. He's doing some really, really great acting because he's creating a private moment in an airport. His look, right there. He's really locked in. That, again. He's giving her all kinds of intimacy, and I would say fulfilling a need in her and reassuring her. That's a great actor technique, to say, "It's just you and me in this world right now." So that's what makes a good scene as well, that kind of intimacy, no matter where you are. Jess: I better go. "Call Me by Your Name" (2017) Marishka: He's like a little guppy, isn't he? The hunger is definitely there. The prelude was there. Him accepting the finger into his mouth, very erotic, the slow head turn, the heaving of the chest. You know that there's heat rising. The kissing rhythm in this scene, it is mismatched. I think it's appropriately mismatched because of the age difference. This scene is interesting because the older gentleman starts it and the older gentleman is pulling away. He's not fully committing to the moment. The younger man, he pounces, and he's going for it. He's going, he's all in. So that leaves the question of, is this right or is this wrong? Definitely hinting at a power imbalance here. I think it was well directed, and perhaps it was meant to make us uncomfortable. But at the end of the day, you get that there's a wanting, there's a yearning, there's a needing there. So you just go, "OK, I'll go along for the ride." "Moonstruck" (1987) Talking about a smothering kiss, like, how did Cher breathe through that? Loretta: Wait a minute, wait a minute! Marishka: The first part, it was brutal. The look gets lost in all of the other chaos. I'm aware of when an actor rushes a beat. He rushed that beat. But I guess since this is comedic, he can get away with it. The rhythm in the first half is very rough. Maybe she gave him a signal, like maybe pinched him so that he could pull apart, so he could just, like, stop covering both air gates. And then they went in and it was a more passionate kiss. The rhythm came through. This was young Nicolas Cage acting. It was raw. You could tell that he was more posturing for the camera. [table crashes] That kills me. Go, ahead, Nicolas. Go ahead. Loretta: What are you doing? Ronny: Son of a b----. Loretta: Where are you taking me? Ronny: To the bed. Loretta: Oh, God. "Elena Undone" (2010)Marishka: I call this kiss poetry in motion. I know that it is the longest kiss on record to date in any film. It broke a record from Alfred Hitchcock's "Notorious." This kiss has everything to me. It has the hunger, the prelude. That right there, you see how the tension had built up and there's a pause of them wanting each other. You see the softness and the lack of tension around the lips. That's very inviting. It has the heat exchange of the breaths intermingling. They keep checking in, like, with the eye contact, the caressing of the face and the neck, the rhythm of it. They are responding to each other moment by moment. When you think there'll be a bump, because she's going, you know, laying her down horizontally, it's still seamless. It's like, shh. You really stay connected with them. "Some Like It Hot" (1959) Sugar: Don't fight it. Relax. Marishka: So, yeah, that's Marilyn Monroe. She did her thing. The sex symbol back in the day. I love the softness. I love the, "relax." What's interesting about this is that she was the driver here. She's the sex goddess showing him how to kiss. Tony Curtis, he's surrendering to that moment.Joe: I got a funny sensation in my toes. Like someone was barbecuing them over a slow flame.Sugar: Let's throw another log on the fire. Marishka: I think the director was fulfilling every man's fantasy. This was their moment to feel connected to her in some way. Great kissing, great breath. Sugar: Your glasses are beginning to steam up. Marishka: Her body language, she was, like, writhing the whole time, like, riding a wave, in black and white, too, so that was quite daring. I love that they allowed this to happen. "The Notebook" (2004) Noah: It wasn't over. It still isn't over. Marishka: I love this kissing scene because they're both so open and vulnerable and hurting, and the heartbreak is palpable, and that makes you root for them. There's not much lead-in to the kiss. He, like, straight jumps in her mouth, and it's appropriate. Because think of the history and how long it's been that they've loved each other. And so the passion between them is just, like, explosive. You cannot wait one more second. So in this scene, it's not so much about the rhythm, it's about the hunger, the longing, and it's a "finally" kind of kiss. They do not want to break this kiss. They do not want to come up for air. This is the kiss of a lifetime!

As the only Indian around with PM Modi not attending, he felt honoured,”My biggest takeaway was that the editor of the TIME Magazine speech where he said you have two ways of influencing the world either with a finger or a fist symbolizing that your influence should be powerful and groundbreaking,” says Sharma. While all eyes were on the Titanic actress as she stepped out looking breathtaking in a black strapless trail dress, we found out something familiar and desi about her look. 
 As it turns out, Kate Winslet stepped into the red carpet adorned exclusively in <keyword id="571991" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Nirav-Modi">NIRAV MODI</keyword> jewels. And, what more? <keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="80" keywordseo="India">India</keyword>'s military prowess and the country's diverse cultural heritage were on display at the 67th <keyword id="6416557" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Republic-day">Republic Day</keyword> parade on the magnificent Rajpath boulevard here on Tuesday at which visiting French President Francois Hollande was the chief guest. 
 
For the first time, a contingent from the French 35th Infantry Regiment was given the honour of leading the marching contingents and it performed with panache, preceded by a pipes and drums band and saluting in a rather unusual style with the hand held straight across the chest. 
 The celebrations began with Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword> driving to the Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial to the Unknown Soldier at India Gate and laying a wreath in honour of the countless Indian soldiers who have died in battles since World War I. 
 Modi then drove up to the saluting base to receive President <keyword id="6359124" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Pranab-Mukherjee">Pranab Mukherjee</keyword> and President Francois Hollande. 
 
The President's Bodyguard presented the national salute, the tricolour was unfurled and the national anthem was played to set the tone for a rather poignant moment - the posthumous presentation of the Ashok Chakra, the country's highest gallantry award in peacetime. It was presented this year to the widow of Lance Naik Mohan Nath Goswami of the Parachute Regiment, who laid down his life while fighting terrorists in the Kashmir Valley last September. 
 
The emotion on Mukherjee's face was visible as he presented the medal and the citation to Goswami's widow. 
 
The French apart, there was much that was different this time around. The marching contingents were fewer, as were the massed bands. 
 
Then, instead of a marching continent of ex-servicemen, there was a tableau dedicated to them in the first part of the parade, an army dog squad with handlers made an appearance after 26 years, and the camel-mounted troopers of the Border Security Force made up the rear element of the parade's military element. 
 
In another break with tradition, the young recipients of the National Awards for Bravery came up towards the end, followed by the children's pageant, a daredevil motorcycle display by the Corps of Signals, and a grand flypast by fighters, heavy-lift transports and helicopters of the Indian Air Force. 
 Vice President <keyword id="6491214" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Hamid-Ansari">Hamid Ansari</keyword>, the three service chiefs, Congress president <keyword id="689" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Sonia-Gandhi">Sonia Gandhi</keyword>, cabinet ministers, a host of dignitaries and a group of women achievers seated in a special enclosure were on hand to witness the hour-and-half long parade.

India displays cultural heritage, military prowess on Republic Day

In the last few days, TV channels and newspaper headlines have been screaming out not-so-pleasant headlines of IS men arrests, murders, suspicious activities, intelligence warnings of threat and tightened security across several cities. All of this is not without a reason. In fact, it would be correct to say that India is reeling under greater terror threat than any time in the past as R-Day approaches. Flurry of intelligence reports have been warning us of possible <keyword id="6406102" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Terror-attacks">terror attacks</keyword> in the country for the past few days. Two men on the radar are Mr Modi and Mr Francois Hollande, the Chief Guest of our R-Day celebrations. Of course, India’s warming up to the French President in the aftermath of Paris attacks has not gone down very well with IS terrorists, who are now on the prowl waiting for the perfect moment to strike. 
 So, we are doubly under threats this time around– from Pak-based terrorists and <keyword id="174501" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="ISIS">ISIS</keyword>. In the wake of nationwide alert to stay aware and safe, here’s why stepping out of your homes this <keyword id="6416557" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Republic-day">Republic Day</keyword> would not be a good idea at all: 
 
SEVERAL ISIS SYMPATHISERS ARRESTED 
 
Nearly twenty people with suspected Islamic State links were nabbed from across the country in just a single day on Friday. This was the biggest crackdown on ISIS sympathizers in India. Six men, including a chemical engineering dropout, detained by the National Investigation Agency in Karnataka is suspected to have links with the Islamic State. According to reports, the raids were carried out after Indian intelligence agencies received tip-off from the CIA. Cops recently arrested four more men in Uttarakhand last Wednesday on suspicion of planning an attack in Delhi. Security officials said the four had been under surveillance for several months after their online activities drew suspicion, including contacts with people in territory in Iraq and Syria controlled by the Islamic State group. Police said the men had also been planning strikes in Haridwar, where thousands of devotees are now gathered for the Ardh Kumbh festival. 
 
SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES 
 In Panaji, Goa Police have stepped up security in the state and were investigating a postcard received by the State Secretariat and warning to harm Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword> and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. In Mumbai, the police are yet to trace six mysterious paragliders who were seen near the city’s coast on January 13. Authorities said they have taken the incident seriously because of a 2010 intelligence report that the terrorist group <keyword id="53557" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lashkar-e-Taiba">Lashkar-e-Taiba</keyword> had procured 50 paragliders from Europe and was conducting a training in Pakistan to launch an aerial attack. Authorities in Madhya Pradesh are on alert after a suspected terrorist named Syed Ahmed escaped from police custody by jumping off a running train on Wednesday night at Hoshangabad, about 70 km south east of Bhopal. 
 
ENEMY’S FRIEND IS ALSO AN ENEMY 
 French President Francois Hollande is the Chief Guest of the republic day celebrations at a time when France is engaged in an air-strike against ISIS following the <keyword id="2677655" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Paris-terror-attacks">Paris terror attacks</keyword>. Extra paramilitary forces were deployed in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, where the French consulate received a letter warning against its president’s presence at India’s Republic Day celebrations. Police are investigating the source of the letter which said Francoise Hollande should cancel his trip to India beginning Sunday. Bangalore’s additional commissioner of police, Chengal Reddy, told reporters that the letter--written in poor English and mentioning al Qaeda--has still not been ruled out as a hoax. 
 
CARJACKING FOR TERROR PURPOSES 
 
Delhi Police on Friday issued an alert after the driver of a taxi hired by three unidentified persons from Pathankot was found dead in Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, in the aftermath of the airbase attack. The taxi driver, identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Gaggal village in Kangra district, was found dead on Wednesday at the Kalta bridge in Kangra and his taxi missing, police said. In a similar incident, on Tuesday night an SUV belonging to a top ITBP official had gone missing from his residence in Noida. These activities are suspected to have been done by terror outfits like ISIS who are notorious for car-bomb attacks in Iraq and Syria could use them as potential weapons to target to carry out blasts in crowded places. 
 
POSSIBILITY OF LONE WOLF ATTACK 
 
Mohammad Sirazudin, an executive of the Indian Oil Corporation, who was arrested in Jaipur in December 2015 for allegedly spreading ISIS activities online and trying to recruit Indian youths in the Middle-East terrorist group, was allegedly on the verge of turning into a ‘lone wolf’. With increased activities of ISIS supporters online, the government has taken the threat of this dreaded terror group seriously and asked states to remain alert against the possibility of ‘lone wolf attack’ in the country. The threat of ISIS was discussed threadbare at a meeting of top officials of central intelligence and investigative agencies and police of 13 states on Saturday which was chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The riveting IPL 2023 season saw a fitting finale, giving fans a lot of exciting moments as they cheered for their favourite teams. The 2023 season saw plenty of incredible performances by domestic as well as international players. Here's a look at the top three players from each team this season. Chennai Super Kings: Devon Conway became the second-highest scorer for Chennai Super Kings after Michal Hussey. Conway scored a total of 672 runs this season with 92 being his highest score at an average of 51.69 and a strike rate of 139.71. The Kiwi had six half-centuries to his name. Shivam Dube, the powerful middle-order batter, scored 418 runs with an average of 38.00 and a strike rate of 158.33. Dube had three fifties to his name in this IPL season, with 52 being his highest score. His teammate <keyword id="4238575" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ruturaj-gaikwad" source="Orion">Ruturaj Gaikwad</keyword> scored a total of 590 runs with 92 being his highest score an average of 42.14 and a strike rate of 147.50. Gaikwad has scored four fifties in the 2023 season. Tushar Deshpande took 21 wickets with an average of 26.86, an economy of 9.92 and a strike rate of 16.24. Deshpande's best bowling effort this season is 3/45. Gujarat Titans: Shubman Gill, the outstanding player from Gujarat Titans became a sensation as he amassed 890 runs with an average of 59.33 and a strike rate of 157.80 in the 2023 season and has been the highest run scorer with three centuries and four half-centuries this season. His highest score this season was 129. One of the best seam bowlers that India has produced, Mohammad Shami took the most wickets for his team with 28 scalps at an average of 18.64, economy of 8.03 and strike rate of 13.93. Shami's best this season is 4/11. Rashid Khans' performance has been on another level with him racking up 27 wickets at an average of 20.44, an economy of 8.24 and a strike rate of 14.89, the second highest after his GT teammate Mohammed Shami and his best bowling effort was 4/30. He also racked up 130 runs at an average of 32.50. Mumbai Indians: <keyword id="496245" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="suryakumar-yadav" source="Orion">Suryakumar Yadav</keyword> emerged as the top batter for five-time champions Mumbai Indians. Yadav scored a total of 605 runs at an average of 32.17 and a strike rate of 181.14. Despite a slow start in the beginning he scored runs in the latter half of the season with a single century and five half-centuries and 103* being his highest score. Elegant left-hand batsman <keyword id="7915352" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tilak-verma" source="Orion">Tilak Verma</keyword> scored a total of 343 runs at an average of 42.88 and a strike rate of 164.11. In his last IPL match of the current season against Gujarat at the Narendra Modi Stadium, he blazed 43 runs off just 14 balls. His best score this season was an unbeaten 84. Cameron Green, who debuted this season for MI, scored 452 runs at an average of 50.22 and a strike rate of 160.28. With 100* being his highest score, he had a century and two half-centuries to his name. Green also picked up 6 wickets at an average of 60.17, an economy of 9.50 and a strike rate of 38.00. Royal Challengers Banglore: RCB's ace and former skipper Virat Kohli regained his form and produced astonishing performances this season, scoring 639 runs at an average of 53.25 and a strike rate of 139.82. Kohli's best score this season is 101*. He had two centuries and six half-centuries against his name. RCB's skipper Faf du Plessis was the second-highest run-scorer this season with a total of 730 runs this season at an average of 56.15 and a strike rate of 153.68. His best score was 84. He had a total of eight half-centuries this season. One of Team India's premier fast bowlers, Mohammed Siraj was the highest wicket-taker for his franchise this season, picking up 19 wickets at an average of 19.79 and an economy of 7.52 and a strike rate of 15.79. Siraj's best effort this season was 4/21. Rajasthan Royals: <keyword id="1999303" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="yashasvi-jaiswal" source="Orion">Yashasvi Jaiswal</keyword> has impressed in his three IPL seasons. He was the highest run scorer for the LSG this season with a total of 408 runs with an average of 31.38 and a strike rate of 150.00. He had three half-centuries to his name with 89* being his highest score. His teammate and the third-highest scorer in the 2023 season for LSG, Nicholas Pooran, scored 358 at an average of 29.83 and a strike rate of 172.95. Pooran had two half-centuries to his name with 62 being his highest score. Leggie Ravi Bishnoi scalped 16 wickets at an average of 24.44, an economy of 7.74 and a strike rate of 18.94. Bishnoi's best this year was 3/28. Delhi Capitals: David Warner the former captain of the Australian team was the highest run scorer for the Delhi Capitals this season. He scored a total of 516 runs averaging 36.86 and a strike rate of 131.63. With 86 being his highest score, he had six fifties to his name. Bowling all-rounder Axar Patel scored 283 runs at an average of 28.30 and a strike rate of 139.41. He is the second-highest scorer this season for the Delhi Capitals with a single half-century and his highest score being 54. Patel had 11 wickets to his name at an average of 30.73, an economy of 7.19 and a strike rate of 25.64. His BBM stands at 2/13. Ishant Sharma has taken 10 wickets at an average of 20.60, with an economy of 8.24 and a strike rate of 15.00. His BBM this season is 2/19. Punjab Kings: PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan was the highest scorer for his team amassing 373 runs with an average of 41.44 at a strike rate of 142.91. Dhawan has three fifties to his name with 99* being his highest score. Punjab's wicket-keeper Jitesh Sharma scored a total of 309 runs at an average of 23.77 with a strike rate of 156.06. His highest score this season was 49*. One of the finest left-arm pacers in India at the moment, Arshdeep Singh was Punjab's bowling spearhead as he took 17 wickets with an average of 29.00, an economy of 9.70 and a strike rate of 17.94. His best this season is 4/29. Kolkata Knight Riders: The standout player from KKR, <keyword id="160354" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="rinku-singh" source="Orion">Rinku Singh</keyword>, scored a total of 474 with an average of 59.25, at a strike rate of 149.53 and is the highest run scorer of this season for his team. All of a sudden, I tried to swallow a piece of roast beef and couldn't. It was stuck. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't speak to tell anyone I was in trouble.My Arizona neighbor immediately jumped up and grabbed me from behind to try to perform the Heimlich. He tried once, twice, three times, and four with no results.On the fifth, we both fell over. But he picked me right up, gave me a really painful hug, and out came the culprit, letting me breathe again.Unsure of how to thank the stranger, I emailed an account of the incident to his local paper. Two days later, he came over to our table.I was worried that maybe the newspaper article caused him a problem, but he laughed and said he was running for a state-senate seat and that kind of publicity was worth 100 ads. <h2>We once found a naked couple in our room </h2><div type="image" title="Robert and Donna on their last cruise together." height="1277" width="1703" msid="90526054" hostid="261"></div>When Donna and I boarded Norwegian <keyword id="11930971" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="cruise" source="Orion">Cruise</keyword> Line's Sun in Port Canaveral, we found our cabin, <a href="https://www.insider.com/what-to-bring-on-a-cruise-from-frequent-traveler-photos-2022-3">dropped off our carry-ons</a>, and went to relax on the rest of the ship. When we returned, I put the key in, opened the door, and promptly pushed Donna back into the hall.She wasn't happy about it until I said, "Call security, and tell them there's a naked couple in our cabin!"Before security arrived, the now fully clothed couple stepped out of the cabin and began simultaneously explaining why they were there. Turns out, <a href="https://www.insider.com/what-its-like-where-cruise-ship-crew-lives-photos-2021-10">a cabin steward</a> helped them into the room — which they were convinced was theirs — after their key card didn't work.The couple seemed embarrassed and contrite when they discovered that their actual cabin was down the hall.We later had several meetings with the ship's officers, mostly to convince them not to fire the poor worried steward. Luckily he stayed on, and we got a special dinner in the Chop House.But even though they changed the sheets, I have an unforgettable photograph seared in my memory.<h2>I've seen helicopters impressively swoop in on moving ships for medical emergencies</h2>The Costa Line Daphne was a smaller, older ship that seemed perfectly fit for the Alaskan Inside Passage trip we took in June 1984.Sundown was late, probably 11 p.m. or so, and one night the speaker came on requesting everyone to leave the pool deck for a medical emergency.The chief steward had a <a href="https://www.insider.com/causes-of-chest-pain-2019-4">heart attack</a>, and the Coast Guard was going to hoist him aboard a helicopter and fly him to Anchorage for treatment. We were able to watch everything from our deck and see the chopper fly safely away — the Daphne never even slowed or hesitated.The very next day, the scene was repeated when a passenger fell ill and required medical help. Same procedure, same efficiency, and no loss of time for the ship.Later information reported that the steward did not survive. The passenger did.Although it was very sad, I thought it was a remarkable performance by both land and sea forces. It was also reassuring to see that, even on board, help is often available.<h2>On the way to Russia, our ship almost got entirely stuck in ice</h2><div type="image" title="shot of ice surrounding a cruise ship in the ocean" height="3000" width="4000" msid="90526055" hostid="261"></div>The <a href="https://www.insider.com/titanic-fun-facts-movie-2018-11">Titanic's</a> sinking was brought vividly to mind on a Holland America Zaandam cruise we took in 2012.On April 25, 2012, we woke up to total silence. On a ship, there are always sounds of engines and activity, but that morning there was no background noise.We were practically stopped — our cabin TV said we were moving at 1 ½ knots (less than 2 miles per hour).When I got up, I looked out and all I could see was ice. We sat, virtually immobile, in its midst.Word began to circulate, from some unknown source, that this was almost exactly 100 years after the Titanic sank in an ice-related collision between April 14 and 15, 1912.For some hours we lined the rails, watching the ice field, waiting for something to happen. Eventually, much to our relief, the captain reversed course, sailed back the way we came, and rerouted. <h2>My bank account was mysteriously closed, which nearly left us stranded </h2><a href="https://www.insider.com/cruise-ship-horror-stories-2018-7">Our worst experience</a> came on our way home from a cruise on Thanksgiving in 2005. We'd just disembarked the Holland America Prinsendam after a trans-Atlantic crossing from Lisbon, Portugal. I couldn't call the rental-car company to get a ride home because my phone was dead, so we took a taxi. On the way, I took out my wallet to get my credit card and driver's license along with the cab fare.When we got to the dealership, I was told my credit card was denied. Willett, and send our deepest condolences."So that was the cause of all the confusion — I was dead. It also reminded Donna that there was a balance of $175 on the card, and they were certain, in the midst of her grief, she'd want that taken care of. It took a few days to convince everybody I was alive and well, during which the missing wallet was returned from New York by the honorable Mr. Moses.But I enjoyed the affection and respect usually held for those who had passed, it was kind of fun.

The 30-share BSE index was trading 355.23 points or 0.76% higher at 46,799.41, and the broader NSE Nifty surged 109.25 points or 0.80% to 13,710.35. ONGC was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising around 5%, followed by Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, Axis Bank, <keyword id="45179" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="NTPC">NTPC</keyword>, Bajaj Finance, Titan, IndusInd Bank, HDFC duo and Reliance Industries. US equities finished mostly higher as investors monitored the progress of the coronavirus vaccine and chances of a revived economy in 2021. However, President Donald Trump's opposition to recent bills passed by the Congress offered some discomfort towards the last session of trade. Elsewhere in Asia, bourses in Seoul, Hong Kong and Tokyo were trading on a positive note in mid-session deals, while Shanghai was in the red. He had asked people to switch off the lights at their homes and light a candle or a diya at their doorsteps or in their balconies at 9 pm on Sunday.While many put up video clips and pictures of themselves lighting candles, most social media posts came down heavily against those bursting crackers.Netizens put up video clips and pictures of people bursting crackers and shouting slogans as 9 pm approached."Corona ke Bharat aagman par deshwaasi khushi manate hue.
