State-owned <keyword id="77463" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="power-finance-corporation" source="Orion">Power Finance Corporation</keyword> has inked an initial pact with the <keyword id="6354766" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gujarat" source="Orion">Gujarat</keyword> government to provide comprehensive financial backing for the state's <keyword id="6380509" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="generation" source="Orion">generation</keyword>, <keyword id="67884" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="transmission" source="Orion">transmission</keyword>, and distribution projects. Power Finance Corporation (PFC) signed an <keyword id="6368586" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mou" source="Orion">MoU</keyword> with the government of Gujarat on January 3, 2024, according to a company statement issued on Wednesday. The MoU was signed by Parminder Chopra, CMD PFC and Jai Prakash Shivhare, MD (GUVNL) in the presence of Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat. The chief objective of this MoU is to provide comprehensive financial backing for the state's generation, transmission, and distribution projects. The MoU, signed in Gandhinagar, marks a significant step towards bolstering various projects undertaken by the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL), Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd (GETCO), Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (DGVCL), Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (MGVCL), Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL), and Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (UGVCL). The collaboration is set to facilitate long-term debt and other critical funding necessities vital for executing these diverse projects. Under the terms of the MoU, the envisaged financial assistance stands at an impressive Rs 25,000 crore, dedicated to powering up various projects across Gujarat, it stated. This substantial financial commitment underscores PFC's steadfast commitment to bolstering the power infrastructure in the region and supporting the state's ambitious initiatives in the power sector. Apart from facilitating the expansion of power infrastructure, the MoU shall also help create employment generation of up to 10,000 in Gujarat.

The MoU provides a framework for both sides to discuss issues concerning micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and explore possibilities for cooperation. It envisages the exchange of expertise between the two sides on issues related to improving MSME participation in the global marketplace through mutual visits as well as webinars and workshops on topics including access to trade and export finance, technology and digital trade; green economy, and trade facilitation. The MoU also provides for the joint conduct of programmes for women entrepreneurs to empower them and facilitate trade partnerships between women-owned small businesses in the two countries. Chennai, June 6 (IANS) Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Aryabhatta Research Institute (ARIES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Astrophysics. Space objects' orbital tracking, analysis and space weather studies are important aspects in Space Situational Awareness and Management to safeguard Indian space assets from critical conjunction threats like space debris. Future endeavours in space exploration depends on research and development (R&amp;D) in astrophysics, solar sciences, and space environment. Self-reliance in these areas is key to the progress of Indian space arena. This MoU will pave the way for future collaborations between ISRO and ARIES in establishing optical telescope observational facilities for space object tracking, R&amp;D studies in space weather, astrophysics, and Near Earth Object (NEO). The cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs 1,770 crore. The corridor is expected to be completed by June 2017. 

	According to Metro officials, work will be expedited to commission the project ahead of schedule. Delhi Metro MD Mangu Singh said, "Work on technical studies, including soil profiling and ensuring proper power supply for the project, will immediately start. The actual work on ground can be seen in the next three months.”

Delhi Metro Signs MoU With Ghaziabad Authority For Route Extension

New Delhi, Nov 27 () Auto industry body SIAM on Wednesday said it has signed a pact with Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) for cooperation and support in promoting a sustainable, safe, clean, affordable and efficient automobile industry.
An MoU to this effect was signed between Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and KAMA during an event in Mumbai, SIAM said in a statement.
 The two organisations will set up regular information exchange mechanism to maintain their cooperative dialogues and deliberate on issues on the subjects of their common interests, it added.
 Commenting on the partnership, SIAM President Rajan Wadhera said in context of the auto sector, ties between India and South Korea can be traced back to 1996, when Hyundai Motors entered the Indian market.
 Indian manufacturers, like Tata Group and Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, have made significant investment in Korea's auto industry till date, he added.
 Wadhera further said Since 2000, these companies have invested USD 3.8 billion in India across various sectors such as electronics, automobiles, metallurgy, earth movers. Recently, Kia Motors has entered India.
 "The success of these ventures is a reflection of the strong ties between both the countries and associations. We hope that this MoU will benefit both the organisations in facilitating further collaboration in areas of technology advancements, and research and development in the automotive sector," he said.
KAMA President &amp; CEO Jeong Marn-Ki hoped that the MoU would work as a catalyst to strengthen the ties so that "we can enjoy mutual benefits, constantly increasing investment and trade between both the countries".
 The MoU was signed on the occasion of Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles (OICA) general assembly meeting in Mumbai.

Mumbai, The <keyword id="19899810" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="reserve-bank-of-india" source="keywords">Reserve Bank of India</keyword> and Bank <keyword id="19909773" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="indonesia" source="keywords">Indonesia</keyword> (BI) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote use of local currencies for bilateral transactions. The MoU was signed here for establishing a framework to promote the use of local currencies viz., the <keyword id="20045514" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="indian-rupee" source="keywords">Indian Rupee</keyword> (INR) and the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for cross-border transactions, <keyword id="19899808" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="rbi" source="keywords">RBI</keyword> said in a statement. This framework would enable exporters and importers to invoice and pay in their respective domestic currencies, which in turn would enable the development of an INR-IDR foreign exchange market. "Use of local currencies would optimise costs and settlement time for transactions," RBI said. The MoU was signed by RBI Governor <keyword id="19913110" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="shaktikanta-das" source="keywords">Shaktikanta Das</keyword> and Bank Indonesia Governor <keyword id="20862647" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="perry-warjiyo" source="keywords">Perry Warjiyo</keyword>. "The MoU on establishing a framework for cooperation in the area of cross-border transactions in local currencies between <keyword id="19895063" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="india" source="keywords">India</keyword> and Indonesia, aims to promote the use of INR and IDR bilaterally," RBI said. The central bank further said the collaboration marks a key milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between RBI and BI. Use of local currencies in bilateral transactions will eventually contribute to promoting trade between India and Indonesia as well as deepen financial integration and strengthen the long historical, cultural and economic relations between India and Indonesia, it added.

New Delhi, Feb 12 () Targeting sustainable fisheries development, the Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a pact signed between India and Iceland. "The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was apprised of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and Iceland in the field of fisheries," an official statement said. The pact was signed on 10th September, 2019."The MoU will strengthen the existing friendly relations between India and Iceland and will enhance consultation and cooperation on Fisheries including consultation on bilateral issues," it added.The salient features of this MoU are creation of facilities for exchange of scientists and technical experts and their proper placement, especially in areas of estimating total allowable Catches in off shore and deep sea areas.It also provides for training to fisheries professionals from key fisheries institutions in the various management aspects on areas of modern fisheries management and fish processing.The MoU provides for exchange of scientific literature research findings and other information as well as exchange of experts/expertise to study the prospects of fishing. Ola group to invest ₹7,614 cr in TN for lithium ion cell, EV cars

New Delhi, Feb 6 () RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has singed a memorandum of understanding with defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) for cooperation in the field of cloud services, IoT , e-governance, smart cities, networks for defence projects, mission critical communication systems for domestic and international markets, according to a statement from the telecom service provider on Thursday. The MoU was signed in the presence of BEL CMD M V Gowtama and Puneet Chawla CMD, RailTel. BEL, a Navaratna PSU under the Ministry of Defense, is a multi-product, multi-technology company with nine manufacturing units across the country and primarily manufactures advanced electronic products for the Indian Armed Forces. RailTel signs MoU with BEL for cooperation in cloud services, IoT , e-governance

New Delhi, Dec 18 () State-owned firm NBCC has bagged a nearly Rs 1,400 crore worth contract to develop 'East Delhi Hub' at Karkardooma in the national capital.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NBCC and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in this regard was signed in 2015. 
NBCC informed that the DDA has revised the conditions of the MoU.
"As per the revised MoU, the DDA has entrusted the 'Integrated Development work of East Delhi Hub, Karkardooma, New Delhi based on Transit-Oriented Development norms wherein NBCC will work as project planning, designing and executing agency," NBCC said in a regulatory filing.
The scope of work includes master planning of the entire project and construction of 1,600 residential units, external amenities, infrastructure services and other developmental works, it said.
"The total estimated cost of the development of Phase-I of this project is Rs 1,393 crore (approx)," the filing said. 
In a separate filing, NBCC said it has signed an MoU with Odisha Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (OTPCL), Bhubaneswar for civil construction and various developmental works of the thermal power plant.
"The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 200 crore (approx)," the company said.
NBCC is present in three main segments namely project management consultancy (PMC), real estate development and EPC Contracting. MJH
