 Asked if he was ready for fatherhood, Shahid, at the trailer launch of his next film '<keyword id="6356850" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Udta-Punjab">Udta Punjab</keyword>', said: "Yes, I'm going to become a father." 
 There had been rumours of Shahid's wife <keyword id="2775998" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mira-Rajput">Mira Rajput</keyword> being pregnant ever since she was spotted with a 'baby bump' at a fashion event. 
 
Shahid plays a drug-addict rockstar in 'Udta Punjab', a movie which which largely talks about the menace of drugs in Punjab. 
 
"It's an issue that needs to be addressed, that lies for this entire generation, for the parents and the children, it's a real issue. I think it was very courageous on Abhishek's part to dedicate almost three years of his life on something he felt needed to be spoken about," Shahid said. 
 Also starring <keyword id="2165" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kareena-Kapoor">Kareena Kapoor</keyword> Khan and <keyword id="6354526" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Alia-Bhatt">Alia Bhatt</keyword>, 'Udta Punjab' hits theatres on June 17.

Later, we came to know that the girl who has won the heart of the Haider actor is <keyword id="2775998" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mira-Rajput">Mira Rajput</keyword>, an alumnus of Delhi University. While we saw many fake Facebook pages with her name and some edited images of the couple, we got hold of both of them <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Finally-Shahid-and-Mira-in-a-single-frame/articleshow/47356669.cms">together in one frame</a>, sealing the news once and for all. 
 
Ever since then, there have been many speculations regarding the wedding and the destination that both of them would be heading to for their honeymoon, if Shahid manages to get time from his professional commitments, which includes judging the upcoming season of the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja. 
 
First, we heard that the couple would be heading for a destination wedding to Bali, which was later changed to Greece. After Shahid joked about people knowing more about his wedding than he himself knew, these speculations were put to rest for a while. However, since both Shahid and Mira are followers of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, there were some reports that they would be doing a private ceremony in Beas, where the religious organization is headquartered. 
 
All said and done, this all guesswork has been proven wrong, because we have now got hold of Shahid and Mira’s wedding card, which clearly states that it’s going to be a lavish ceremony in one of the most reputed hotels in Gurgaon.

The card is beautifully decorated and carries the name of Bela and Vikramaditya Rajput, Mira’s parents. With Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur, it also carries the names of both Neelima Azeem, Shahid’s biological mother, and Supriya Pathak Kapur, his mother from his father’s second marriage. 
 
The wedding is going to happen on 7th July 2015, and the card demands no gifts, only blessings.

 It’s not hidden from anyone that Shahid was once in an intense relationship with <keyword id="2165" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Kareena-Kapoor">Kareena Kapoor</keyword>, who broke up with him after falling in love with Saif Ali Khan while filming the movie Tashan. This obviously must not have gone down too well with Shahid, who however chose to be wise and never washed his dirty linen in public. 
 
Even though both of them were reported to be on amicable terms after the break-up, no one ever saw them under the same roof after their break-up. Ever since the news of their alleged engagement broke out, both media and Shahid’s fans are at their toes to find out the details about the wedding, and also about the lucky girl, who is the talk of the industry without even being a part of it. 
When Shahid Kapoor first <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Another-Bollywood-hottie-goes-off-the-Eligible-Bachelor-list/articleshow/46712894.cms">confirmed the news</a> of his marriage preparations, he mentioned a probable wedding by the end of the year, but looks like the families were really eager to see their kids in the wedding attire, because the wedding was then rescheduled to take place in July. 
Shahid, who has been busy shooting the promos for the upcoming reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa could only take out time to be in Delhi just the afternoon before the functions began. As he arrived in the capital, the rain gods welcomed the groom-to-be, and the weather turned as romantic as it could in the humid July summers. 
 
Shahid and Mira, who were <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Finally-Shahid-and-Mira-in-a-single-frame/articleshow/47356669.cms">seen in one frame</a> in only one image before this, were seen dancing at their Sangeet ceremony, like no one was watching, completely immersed in themselves. The ceremony took place at Mira’s Chhatarpur residence. Check out the image of Shahid, down on his knees like a true gentleman, admiring the moves of his soon-to-be-wife. As for the cherry on the cake, we learnt that Mira danced on several of beau Shahid’s hit songs, including the peppy number Saj Dhaj Ke from doting father-in-law’s movie Mausam, and Shahid hugs her and kisses her forehead as she finishes her performance.
