The crime thriller series stars <keyword id="29287" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="kay-kay-menon" source="Orion">Kay Kay Menon</keyword>, <keyword id="657031" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Avinash-Tiwary" source="Orion">Avinash Tiwary</keyword>, Kritika Kamra, and <keyword id="12319844" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Nivedita-Bhattacharya" source="Orion">Nivedita Bhattacharya</keyword> along with Amyra Dastur in pivotal roles. The trailer begins with a birdeye view of the Mumbai of the 1970 as the plot unfolds taking the viewers through the life of <keyword id="18648736" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="dara-kadri" source="Orion">Dara Kadri</keyword> (essayed by Avinash), a petty criminal who is born to an honest officer in the Mumbai police force (portrayed by Kay Kay Menon). The trailer shows Dara rising up the ranks as he encounters the likes of Haji (inspired by don Haji Mastan, and portrayed by Saurabh Sachdeva) as he digs his claws deep into crime. The trailer boasts of many retro elements like the styling, the lighting, the BGM, the DI, photography, the angles and the production design which was actually once hit by a cyclone during the making of the series The trailer gives the viewers a glimpse of the pain a father undergoes as he sees his family being torn apart by lost ethos, greed, and corruption. It is also reminiscent of the Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi-starrer 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai' however the premise differs but the broad brush strokes on the canvas seem similar. Talking about his role in the upcoming series, Kay Kay Menon said: "My character Ismail Kadri is multi-layered and complex. He is an honest cop and a doting father who isn't perfect. On one hand, he is deeply committed to cleaning the city of Bambai of all crime, on the other, to save his family, he is forced to become a pawn to the city's crime syndicate. "Even as Ismail fights against all odds not to give in to the evil surrounding him, he sees his own flesh and blood rising as the city's new gang lord. Shujaat and Rensil's vision for this character was so clear and precise that it was easy for me to essay this role. Thank you, Prime Video and Excel Entertainment, Rensil and Shujaat, for making me a part of such a gut-wrenching story." The series is set in a world rather, the Mumbai of the 1970s where gang wars, crimes, and treachery were a common occurrence. Against this backdrop, the fictional series is a captivating saga of an honest cop who sees his son choose the path of crime to overcome a life of poverty and struggle. Avinash Tiwary said: "When I first read the script and about my character, Dara Kadri, I was awestruck and hesitant at the same time. The character I play in 'Bambai Meri Jaan' is something that very few actors get an opportunity to sink their teeth into, this early in their career. "The way I saw it, there are villains and then there is Dara, a dynamic young man who believes that honest hard work won't get you money and power. From nothing (hunger) to something (provider for the family and his people) to everything (power), bhook is an integral part of his journey. "To become someone everyone bows down to, one who is feared and revered in equal measures, he has to turn into a cold-blooded monster. As a director, Shujaat's creativity, attention to detail, and his ability to inspire and motivate each one of us to give our best, really enabled me to bring Dara's character to life the way he and Rensil had envisioned while writing the script. I am looking forward to reactions from viewers from India and around the world." The story of the show has been penned by crime journalist and author S. Domestic passenger vehicles wholesales posted a record in May at 3,34,247 units growing at 13.54 per cent as compared to the same month last year, riding on robust growth of utility vehicle sales, the <keyword id="82374" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="society-of-indian-automobile-manufacturers" source="Orion">Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers</keyword> said on Tuesday. As per the latest data issued by <keyword id="1577311" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="society-of-indian-automobile" source="Orion">Society of Indian Automobile</keyword> Manufacturers (SIAM) dispatches of passenger vehicles (PVs) from manufacturers to dealers were at 2,94,392 units in May 2022. SIAM Director General <keyword id="217489" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="rajesh-menon" source="Orion">Rajesh Menon</keyword> said sales of passenger vehicles in May 2023 have been the highest ever witnessed for the month of May. Utility vehicle wholesales, excluding that of <keyword id="42747" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tata-motors" source="Orion">Tata Motors</keyword> which shares its numbers quarterly, grew by 33.5 per cent last month at 1,55,184 units, as compared to 1,16,255 units in the year-ago period. Two-wheeler domestic wholesales were at 14,71,550 units, as against 12,53,187 units in May last year, a growth of 17.42 per cent. Motorcycles sales grew by 20.63 per cent at 9,89,120 units last month, as compared to 8,19,940 units in May 2022, SIAM said. Scooter sales also rose 12.18 per cent at 4,46,593 units, as against 3,98,099 units in the year-ago month. Similarly, three-wheeler wholesales were higher at 48,732 units, as compared to 28,595 units in May 2022. Total vehicle dispatches across categories, excluding Tata Motors, were at 18,08,686 units as compared to 15,32,861 units in May 2022, SIAM said. "All the segments viz. passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers have posted growth in double-digits in May 2023, compared to May 2022. We anticipate this trend to continue supported by the prevalent economic environment," SIAM President <keyword id="230167" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="vinod-aggarwal" source="Orion">Vinod Aggarwal</keyword> SIAM said. Menon said while two-wheelers also posted a growth of 17.4 per cent in May 2023 compared to last year, the sales were "still lower than 2016-17 levels". The total passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealers rose to 3,31,278 units last month compared to 2,93,303 units in April 2022. Market leader Maruti Suzuki India dispatched 1,37,320 units to dealers last month against 1,21,995 units in April last year. Hyundai Motor India, on the other hand, sold 49,701 units in April compared to 44,001 units in the year-ago period. Similarly, two-wheeler dispatches last month increased by 15 per cent to 13,38,588 units from 11,62,582 units a year ago. <keyword id="17392672" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="motorcycle-wholesales" source="Orion">Motorcycle wholesales</keyword> rose to 8,39,274 units last month from 7,35,360 units in April 2022. Similarly, scooter dispatches rose to 4,64,389 units in April against 3,88,442 units in the year-ago period. The total three-wheeler sales rose to 42,885 units last month from 20,997 units in April 2022. "All the segments, passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers have posted growth in April 2023, compared to April 2022, which clearly indicates that the industry has been able to transit very smoothly to BSVI Phase 2 emission norms from April 1 2023," Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) President <keyword id="230167" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="vinod-aggarwal" source="Orion">Vinod Aggarwal</keyword> stated. As the industry gradually gets into the monsoon season, among other factors, good rainfall can also help the sector sustain its growth, he added. Passenger vehicle dispatches rise 13% in April as demand remained robust: SIAM

Amid the global crypto meltdown, <keyword id="6356662" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="singapore" source="Orion">Singapore</keyword>, which has a clear licensing and regulatory framework, is going to act tough on crypto platforms in the coming months, a top <keyword id="167953" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="monetary-authority-of-singapore" source="Orion">Monetary Authority of Singapore</keyword> (<keyword id="281847" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="mas" source="Orion">MAS</keyword>) executive said on Tuesday. MAS Managing Director <keyword id="224150" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="ravi-menon" source="Orion">Ravi Menon</keyword> said that the key lesson from the upheaval in the global crypto industry is clear: Investing in cryptocurrencies is highly risky. "MAS and relevant government agencies will take firm enforcement action if any entity is found to be conducting illegal activities or performing regulated activities without a license," he said after releasing the central bank's annual report. Menon said that reviews and public consultations are underway, among international standard-setting bodies and regulators, to strengthen regulation in the crypto areas. "MAS is targeting to consult on proposed measures in the next few months," he added. Governments the world over, including in <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>, are planning tough action against cryptocurrencies as the crypto world faces heightened uncertainties. In India, Union Finance Minister <keyword id="129243" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="nirmala-sitharaman" source="Orion">Nirmala Sitharaman</keyword> said in the Lok Sabha on Monday that the <keyword id="6354335" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reserve-bank-of-india" source="Orion">Reserve Bank of India</keyword> (RBI) has recommended framing of regulations for cryptocurrencies. The Indian government wants an international collaboration if such a ban has to be put into effect, said <keyword id="679937" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="sitharaman" source="Orion">Sitharaman</keyword>. Menon said that some crypto players that have come under strain have been reported by the media as being "Singapore-based". "In reality, these so-called 'Singapore-based' crypto firms have little to do with crypto-related regulation in Singapore," he mentioned. "Vauld is currently not licensed by MAS nor has it sought any exemption from holding a licence under the Payment Services Act. It has submitted a licence application, which is pending review," Menon informed. The crypto industry globally is still evolving and regulation is still catching up with industry trends. MAS has sent repeated warnings against retail investments in cryptocurrencies. Next month, the authority will organise a dedicated seminar to share its strategies to develop Singapore as a digital asset hub. "We will explain our position on cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, blockchains, tokenisation, smart contracts and digital assets, etc -- their risks and opportunities; shortcomings and potential," said Menon. Isaacman, the founder and CEO of American payment processing company Shift4, who had commanded the Inspiration4 mission, announced the Polaris Programme, a first-of-its-kind effort to rapidly advance human spaceflight capabilities, while continuing to raise funds and awareness for important causes here on Earth. The programme will consist of up to three human spaceflight missions that will demonstrate new technologies, conduct extensive research, and ultimately culminate in the first flight of SpaceX's Starship with humans on board. The first mission is named <keyword id="13176218" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Polaris-Dawn" source="Orion">Polaris Dawn</keyword>, which is targeted to launch no earlier than the fourth quarter of 2022 from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Polaris Dawn mission has many first-time objectives, so the Polaris Programme chose a crew of experts who know each other well and have a foundation of trust they can build upon as they undergo the challenges of this mission. Menon is Mission Specialist and Medical Officer. In addition to Isaacman, the crew includes Menon, a veteran member of Isaacman's team Scott Poteet and SpaceX employee Sarah Gillis. During her tenure at SpaceX, Menon has led the implementation of Dragon's crew capabilities, helped create the crew communicator operator role, and developed critical operational responses to vehicle emergencies, such as a fire or cabin depressurisation. Anna served in mission control during multiple cargo and crew Dragon missions, including Demo-2, Crew-1, CRS-22, and CRS-23. Prior to SpaceX, she worked for seven years at NASA as a biomedical flight controller for the International Space Station. She is the wife of Indian-origin physician Anil Menon, a lieutenant colonel at the US Air Force, who was selected by NASA in December last year along with nine others to be astronauts for future missions. Anil Menon, 45, was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Ukrainian and Indian immigrants. He was SpaceX's first flight surgeon, helping to launch the company's first humans to space during NASA's SpaceX Demo-2 mission and building a medical organisation to support the human system during future missions. He previously served NASA as the crew flight surgeon for various expeditions taking astronauts to the International Space Station. SpaceX said the Dragon mission will take advantage of Falcon 9 and Dragon's maximum performance, flying higher than any Dragon mission to date and endeavouring to reach the highest Earth orbit ever flown. Dragon and the Polaris Dawn crew will spend up to five days in orbit, during which the crew will attempt the first-ever commercial spacewalk, conduct scientific research designed to advance both human health on Earth and our understanding of human health during future long-duration spaceflights, and be the first crew to test Starlink laser-based communications in space, providing valuable data for future space communications systems necessary for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond, the company said. The Indian technology industry crossed the $200 billion in overall revenue for the first time, and is set to reach $227 billion in overall revenue in FY2022 -- with a growth rate of 15.5 per cent which is the highest-ever since 2011, the IT industry's apex body <keyword id="6372077" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="nasscom" source="Orion">Nasscom</keyword> said on Tuesday. The <keyword id="3199326" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-tech-industry" source="Orion">Indian tech industry</keyword> clocked double-digit growth across sub-sectors, adding $30 billion in revenues in FY2022 and nearly 450,000 jobs. "Fiscal 2022 has been a breakthrough year for the Indian technology industry. We are excited about the opportunities in the 'Techade' as we enter an era of exponential transformation and technology becomes indispensable to progress," said <keyword id="2989513" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rekha-M-Menon" source="Orion">Rekha M. Menon</keyword>, Chairperson, Nasscom. While the IT Services vertical is set to clock $116 billion in revenue in FY2022, the BPM sector is set to log $44 billion; ER&amp;D vertical $36 billion; hardware segment $17 billion and software products, $13 billion. Exports (including hardware) recorded a growth of 17.2 per cent clocking revenue of $178 billion which is over 51 per cent share of <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>'s total services exports, said the Nasscom report. Ecommerce recorded a growth of 39 per cent to reach $79 billion in 2021-22. Digital revenue share stood at 30-32 per cent, recording an incremental revenue of $13 billion. "While exports did play a large part in this growth, domestic market emerged as a great propeller, nearing a total of $50 billion owing to India's tech adoption with public digital platforms like Aadhaar, UPI and CoWIN playing a large part in delivering citizen services," said <keyword id="875687" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="debjani-ghosh" source="Orion">Debjani Ghosh</keyword>, President, Nasscom. India emerged as a global hub for digital talent with over five million tech workforce. With one out of three employees already digitally skilled, the digital tech talent pool is at 1.6 million, growing at a CAGR of 25 per cent. With massive focus on reskilling and upskilling, the Indian tech industry reskilled approximately 280,000 employees in FY2022, said the IT industry's apex body. With over 36 per cent of women employees, the Indian tech industry is one of the largest private-sector women employers in India with over 1.8 million women in the workforce. India continues to be the third largest startup hub in the world with over 25,000 tech start-ups and witnessing 42 new unicorns and 11 IPOs in the year 2021. Over 2,250 tech start-ups were founded in 2021 and a total highest-ever funding of $24 billion was raised in 2021. The industry also witnessed maturity in the software products segment with the presence of over 2,000 software product companies and 1,000 SaaS companies in India. According to imarc, the Indian online food delivery market reached a value of US$ 4.35 Billion in 2020 and revenue in the Online Food Delivery segment is projected to reach US$11919m in 2021, predicts Statista. Multinational food platform Pizza Hut, which was otherwise known for its dine-in experience, also saw a spike in demand for in-home deliveries as 60% of its annual revenue comes from contactless delivery as of now. However, despite this shift in its modus operandi, consumers continue to perceive Pizza Hut as a legacy restaurant and dine-in brand. So, to alter its image and reposition itself as a contemporary brand that is spontaneously associated with delivery, Pizza Hut has planned an advertising blitz. The brand has onboarded Anuradha Menon aka Lola Kutty as its face and rolled out a quirky, new campaign. We have done a smart play or a cheeky play on words by using the word delivery, but when we say Dil Khol Ke Delivery, we are talking about many different aspects of the brand that we are delivering to the consumer. We are talking about Dil Khol Ke satisfying taste and quality. So, whether it is our dough made freshly in stores every day, whether it is all our wonderful topping combinations, our flavorful sauce, our 100%, mozzarella cheese and safety and hygienic practices that we use to deliver a quality product at your doorstep, or in our stores. The second piece is around Dil Khol Ke delivering deals or value -- being able to give something for everyone and that’s how we define our Dil Khol Ke delivering deals of value to the consumer. The other aspect is how do we ensure that we are making things easy for the consumer. Today's consumer doesn't want complex options. So how do we make the brand easy and accessible is the fourth bucket. We felt that just associating the brand with delivery for such a strong brand as ours, such a loved brand as ours, was not enough and therefore, the articulation we had come up with is Dil Khol Ke Delivery.” This new avatar will be visible across all consumer touchpoints from opening the website to dining in any of its food chains. To convey this message, Pizza Hut was looking for a ‘magnetic’ brand ambassador that could create high recall value and stand out. “When we started this journey and we started looking for who would be the right personality to fit this storytelling, we kept our mind open and didn't keep filters. The only filters we kept I would say was who would marry with the brand personality. We wanted somebody authentic, we wanted somebody who would be friendly, approachable, but at the same time, was a little cheeky, was modern, was able to not take themselves too seriously and therefore had a good sense of humor and was able to deliver this entire new conversation we are trying to have with the consumer in a very confident manner because we believe that this person had to for consumers literally be the brand. When people saw the person, it should be literally like yes, I can believe this is a Pizza Hut magnetic ambassador and therefore, when we started interacting with Anuradha and we saw her and heard her. She has a lot of freshness and naturalness about her. She is definitely a great actor and therefore, a lot of versatility to be able to carry off some of the more crazy things that some of this advertising will demand because as we go forward. We want to make it fun for the consumer. It has to be something they enjoy watching while they also get the brand's message and we believe that Anuradha Menon does a fabulous job at that,” shared Neha. Pizza Hut recently completed 25 years in India and launched its 500th store in Moga, Punjab and has aggressive growth plans to expand its presence across the country, including tier-2 and tier-3 markets.Its expansion focus will be on the Fast-Casual Delco (FCD) format, which is a delivery-first store, but also offers dine-in and takeaway under the same roof. Pizza Hut also aims to achieve growth in delivery through both owned and aggregator platforms which are growing at a healthy pace. Sharing Pizza Hut’s larger vision, Neha said, “At the end of two years of this campaign, where I would love to be at is for people to recognize that Pizza Hut is also a delivery brand, but is not just a delivery brand. So the strong equities that we have built with the consumer in dine-in, which differentiates us from a lot of other dine-in brands, I hope that we will be able to achieve the same with the consumer and delivery. And our quarter 4 is looking very exciting. We have an innovation lined up, which will be revealed shortly, but that innovation is something that nobody's seen before in this category and therefore, we believe it's also our way of introducing the Dil Khol Ke platform to the country because it's doing things in a large-hearted manner, doing things in a different manner and that's how I hope that the brand will continue to remain relevant, easy and distinctive with the consumer.”
